I try to be as hands-on creatively as possible.

and we're behind the scenes at Apple Bottoms photo shoot.

Shout-out to all the models that took place, and took--

Yo, I wanna send a special shout-out to, uh...

I hate saying "um" in the middle of saying some shit.

When we launched Apple Bottoms the first time,

social media was non-existent.

So, we have to get acclimated to learning

how to use social media for Apple Bottoms the best way.

The creative director says it's not working.

No, I don't mind doing it.

I just mind sitting there,

when nobody's understanding what's going on.

That's the problem I have.

You wanna be respectful to everybody you talking to,

but you also wanna make sure that they understand,

and you assert your vision as clearly as possible,

because, if anything, this is your brand.

This is your baby. This is what's representing you.

It's like, "Yo...

yo, Apple Bottoms is relaunching 22 years later.

I hope y'all ready."

Do you know how much the brand meant to people when--

[Juliette] And then, so the re-visioned Apple Bottoms,

what can people expect?

I wouldn't say-- I wouldn't say a re-vision.

I mean, I don't mind giving these answers,

but I hate giving generic answers.

only I can give, because only I've been in that situation,

because it is personal.

[Juliette] Can we ask what people can expect

from today's Apple Bottoms?

[Nelly] I would rather you ask Yvette and Dot,

-from a design aspect. -Understood.

They're more into the design, and--

and the femininity of the brand.

Now, you don't want no man asking about

the femininity of a woman's brand.

It looks more genuine than asking somebody

who's looking to make 100 mil and fuckin' sell.

Being in an environment that I'm not cool with,

and not seeing the vision that I want at the time,

I'm someone that is definitely going to start

regulating some shit.

Obviously I'm in it for the paper.

the goal is to just grow and continue that relationship.

Do you remember our first encounter?

Because I can't remember when we first met.

I do. I think I do. I had came down,

and it's sad, when Jackie had passed.

The first time I met the kids is when Nelly's sister,

Jackie, passed, unfortunately.

I loved Jackie. You know, she was, like, the sweetest,

most amazing, and she, like--

you know, she accepted me, you know?

I felt the love. You know what I'm saying?

so when all of that stuff happened,

I just remember that day, it was just, like, a lot.

You know what I mean?

With the funeral and everything happening.

But that's when I met y'all. And Tre was super, super little.

-'Cause we five years, so... -[Ashanti] Yeah.

I feel like-- If I can-- What, like, 12, 13?

-Probably. -'Cause I was old enough to,

like, sing your song word for word, so.

You know? Did you see my room?

I came in your room, and I was, like,

"Oh, she got posters of me!" [laughing]

Okay, I'm, like, "Yes, she got all the fire music."

-I love those posters. -For me, I was just like,

"Oh, my God, I'm gonna meet his kids."

So I'm, like, for me, it's, like,

"Okay, it's getting serious now."

-Right. -So when I came to the house

and I saw the posters, I was like, "Aww!"

You're like, "I'm good."

No, yeah, that would've gave me the ease.

-Like, "Okay, I'm good." -[Ashanti] Yes.

I mean, we weren't really talking about marriage

during our first year, like, the first time we started dating.

But, you know, when someone has kids, you know, it's a package.

You know what I mean? So it was a little different for me.

It's hard in the industry to just find someone that's genuine

and that's authentic, and that you, like, click with.

You know what I'm saying? And I feel like with us,

it was, like, an immediate chemistry.

And then being here so many years later is just,

like, when things are meant to be, it will be.

I love how my dad came and, like, made that entrance

of, like, "Okay, it's time."

It's inspiring, because I do, I wanna get married one day.

-Good. -I do.

Right now, I'm single, but I'm ready to get married,

if that makes any sense.

I don't like to say what people's fate is,

or what they think their fate is,

but when I saw my dad extending the olive branch

on the Verzuz, he went to go get what he wanted for the now

and made it for the future.

If you wanna be married and just have that bond

and that union and have that stability,

and that sense of someone protecting you--

You know what I'm saying? You deserve it, you know?

It's just, it takes the right person.

Look, I hope it don't take you 20 years, like--

is having a brand that celebrates

all women of shapes and sizes.

We were definitely, um, ahead of the pack when we started this,

To be able to get into Busch Stadium

and use it as a backdrop for our product

would be like a dream.

I wanted to tell you, you know how close we all grew up,

like, me, little, Shawn, Sydney, and Tre.

And when I think about our kids,

I want y'all to be at least halfway as close

as we was coming up, you know?

And I'm sure with you traveling and working hard,

I mean, like, you probably got so much time

-where you like... -Baby.

I don't know how y'all feeling about staying in St. Louis

or, like, you know, being at a distance,

but if they grow up together and if we got that opportunity,

you know, that'd be dope.

I definitely would love for them to stay in St. Louis

for our kids to grow up together.

Being children of celebrities,

you need people around that just get it.

KK got a couple of cousins and friends up in New York,

and obviously we got family, you know what I'm saying?

So it's hard to--

I don't even know, like, where we're gonna end up.

What makes St. Louis beautiful

is there's so much family down there.

It's a lot of love.

So when you have that, you really feel protected.

But at the same time, New York City is one of the most

powerful, most amazing cities in the world.

And I'm just not ready to make the decision.

It's one of the best experiences with me and my mother,

'cause she taught me the game,

took me to my first baseball game, and all of that.

So to be able to pull this off,

that's a big move, and I don't take it for granted.

We got married shortly after the engagement,

in terms of her business and her personal.

With the love, respect, the time, effort,

that she will be looked at differently

because she's not married.

If she marries somebody,

I definitely want her to feel like this person completes her,

this person supports her,

this person has her best interest at heart,

and she has that person's best interest at heart.

packing that shit up and leaving.

Being close to my dad is definitely a blessing.

I feel like all little girls, grown women,

need some type of relationship,
