No one's safe here.
I might be in serious trouble.
...the toughest survival competition on the planet
- goes down under... -
...as 14 of the world's most elite survivalists
take on the Australian Outback,
where they must conquer their environment...
Savage strikes again, baby!
...and each other.
Sending people home is what I do.
...to win $100,000.
Only one with the will...
I'm not going home!
...will become...
I am ready to fight.
...the last one standing.
Australia!
Previously on Last One Standing...
Be down, baby. Be down.
...Matt took down his first kill of the competition...
I thank you so much.
...which, combined with Darrin's axes...
That looks great.
...gave their camp the strength and tools
to win the Primitive Axe Challenge.
Yeah!
Matt and Darrin, they're amazing,
but I don't need to ride anybody's coattails.
Although Kaiela worried about her health...
I have to eat a lot to maintain the weight that I am.
...and Laura nursed an injury.
I can't even turn my head.
I feel like a liability.
They helped their camp secure a second-place finish.
Hell yeah, hell yeah! Keep going, keep going.
- Whoo! - Let's go, baby.
After Jermaine injured his ankle...
...he ultimately removed himself from the challenge...
There's no way I'm gonna be the last one standing if I can't even stand.
...leaving eight survivalists
still fighting to be the last one standing.
- Oh, - Are you okay?
So far, the Outback has been merciless...
- ...but tonight... - Holy [bleep].
...the challenge is about to be upended...
I don't know what's happening. I blacked out.
I don't know where the [bleep] Cheeny is.
...as competitors plot to change their course in the competition.
This is us taking control back. This is what strong women do.
What?
And it sends shockwaves across the Outback.
I'm awestruck. I'm dumbfounded.
Devastating.
That was some heavy [bleep]. Crazy.
- Maybe some shooting here in a sec? - Oh, yeah.
I've never shot an animal with a bow.
So I don't know if in that moment--
- Yeah, your heart is pounding. - Yeah.
It's a whole different thing.
So if I don't feel ready to shoot an animal,
- I'm not going to. - Totally.
I don't have a lot of experience with a bow.
It is not something that I practice.
It is not something I am proficient at.
I'm good at fishing.
And that's my comfort zone.
It is my preferred way to obtain food on these challenges.
But a hog or a deer sound amazing right now.
Here, you can go first.
Aim small, miss small.
Nice.
- Whoo! - Let's go.
Hunting out here is tough.
And it's so important for us to practice.
- That's good. Pretty good placement, though. - Yeah.
And the bow and arrow, you need to be very, very...
in touch with your surroundings in order to execute.
Yeah.
- It's okay? - Way off.
I'm tapped. My little arms are done.
- Yeah? - Yep. I get shaky now.
- Really? - Yeah.
- I'm just weak right now. - That's not good.
I know my body really well,
and I've put my body through a lot.
And I can feel that my health is starting to decline.
And hopefully we're gonna bring home some more bacon.
I'm super down to go with you and back you up and you take the shot.
- Let's freaking do it. - I would feel better about that.
Hell yeah.
I think Kaiela and I are gonna go out for a hunt.
It's all about just being active, moving to clear her mind.
- Sick. - Nice.
Come back anew and hopefully bring home the bacon.
- Let's go. - Peace.
- Later. - Later.
Bye, guys.
We had a challenge yesterday
and my neck is now tweaked again from that.
So that sucks.
I'm feeling bummed.
On top of that, my body isn't as strong as it normally is.
It is definitely pouring now.
I entered this challenge on the coattails
of a 21-day challenge in Mexico where I lost 21 pounds.
And I thought that my body could just jump right from one to another.
But I was actually injured because of the lack of strength
that I had after coming off this challenge.
Max and Kaiela went hunting to try to get a pig.
Uh, very difficult for me to stay behind.
But I have to let my neck heal right now.
So working to do that.
Uh, very, very weird feeling.
Staying behind on a hunt.
Yes.
It's like before it was both sides
and right now it's just like mostly this side.
It really hurts to turn at all.
It just starts to seize up.
So I've just been kind of babying it.
- Thank you so much. - No worries.
Never felt this way out here at a challenge before.
Even if I've been hurt,
I still feel like I'm contributing and kicking ass.
And right now, I feel completely helpless.
It is a new space for me, and I absolutely hate it.
Honestly, I feel good about Jermaine going home.
- His heart wasn't in it, you know? - Yeah.
What's nice is we have one less mouth to feed.
- Yeah. - But we have one less person when it comes to a challenge.
I know.
That's the one thing that could be bad for us.
- Yeah. - Because if we go to elimination,
we're gonna have to fight each other.
- It's us against each other. - Yeah.
We're the only two-person camp,
which can potentially put us at a disadvantage.
We had size and strength with Jermaine.
All I know is we need to keep eating
if we're going to stay in this challenge.
And so I'm gonna go for a hunt tomorrow afternoon.
I'll do a little target practice right now.
- Sure. How do you like that? - Yeah.
Yeah. That looks perfect.
- Sweet. - Sweet.
I'm going on a hunt, so you should always practice before you go out.
Right about here should be good.
You know, I came out here knowing that I was going
to shuffle camps, and so far I ain't shuffling.
So I'm not getting a chance to work with other people,
and I'm not getting a chance to learn from other people.
To the right.
Laura has always been somewhat of an idol for me,
so it would be really great to spend some time with her.
Shooting to the right.
You know, I wanna be respected.
I wanna be seen as an equal threat.
Bam. Dead center.
So the way the wind's been blowing in the evenings,
they've been coming in right through there and right through there.
- Kind of where it's shaded. - Exactly.
And then walking to that water's edge.
I've scouted this location,
and there's pigs that come in there readily.
If we can get a 15-yard shot, a ten-yard shot,
being close is really vital for success in getting that kill shot.
I can grab one of those things if you want.
I got it.
- Thank you. - Yeah.
In the last competition,
we did get six eggs,
two eggs each, um, which is great.
And that's a lot of protein.
But I can tell that my body is not keeping up already.
My weight out here has always been a concern,
um, even on my past challenges.
Uh, it's really hard for me to gain weight.
I try not to get frustrated.
I just want to catch a fish or anything to eat.
I feel defeated. I'm starting to get a headache.
I know it's only going to get worse
because I just really, really want food.
This challenge is unique because we're having
to do everything we do on XL,
plus compete against each other.
And physically demanding competitions.
It takes a huge toll on your body.
We got like an hour until it's prime time.
- Okay. - Yeah.
- We've had a hard couple of days eating. - Yeah.
We three have been working together fantastic.
The fact that we have more meat than we can eat,
more eggs than we can pretty much eat, it's, uh, doing well.
Out here, to be able to actually not have to worry about food is huge.
I'm gonna skin the head out today.
And we're gonna figure out a way to...
figure out a way to eat as much of this thing as we can. And, uh--
We're going to dig a big pit, fill it with hot coals.
We're gonna wrap that guy in paper bark and bury him.
- Ooh, that would be a way to do it. - Yeah. That's a great idea.
Darrin, as brilliant as he is,
has this idea to build a pit oven.
What a great idea. We're in sand.
It's the best place to build a pit.
This knife is an absolute game changer...
to be able to work on this head.
I'm excited to be able to utilize it as much as I can.
My specialty is pit ovens.
That's my favorite way to cook.
That's how I cook my Thanksgiving turkeys.
That's how I'm gonna cook this pig head tonight.
We're going to dig a deep hole, build a big fire in it.
I mean, I want like eight or nine inches
of hot glowing coals in the bottom of this hole.
Drop that meat on top of those hot coals.
Bury it. And then you build a fire on top of that.
All that moisture, slow steam cooks this pig's head.
Let this thing sit overnight.
Hopefully, that pig head will be perfectly roasted
for us to mow on for breakfast.
The camp that I'm with right now, Matt and Darrin,
I feel like, I mean, they're amazing.
And I'm confident in my skills.
But at some point in this competition,
there will come a time
when we are competing against each other all at once.
Not groups.
And...
seeing the strength and the speed that they have
and knowing that I can't compete with that,
I know exactly who I'm up against.
I'm really worried about it.
I'm excited for breakfast tomorrow.
We need food.
But the hunting is becoming really hard to do.
So I think it's time to move hunting locations.
I'm already severely underweight
for what we are going to be putting our bodies through.
And it is concerning for me.
It's gonna probably be a hot day.
But we've got a pig head cooking in the pit you guys made.
- Want to uncover it? Check it out? - I can do it.
Do that. Ooh, toasty.
Back your way. I'll use this branch underneath it.
- I should run on this ash mound here. - Oh, yeah, good idea.
Nothing else that's cleaner.
Trying to not get sand in our food.
It's hard when you buried it in the sand.
Oh, that's hot.
There is a fully steamed pig's head.
Look at that. Look at all the moisture still in there.
Do you see all those juices down there?
- Cheers. - The head meat.
Cheers, cheers, cheers.
Thank you. Appreciate that.
A lot of people might say that I've been lazy or a coattail rider.
And I'm just proving that I'm not.
I have value, and I have skills.
And I've proven that over and over again.
Because if I didn't, I wouldn't still be here.
I would have been eliminated Day One.
But I'm also aware of who I'm up against.
I'm aware of the muscle. And strength. And speed.
I'm aware of all of that.
I think I'm gonna just go walk down
and try fishing throughout the next couple of hours.
You don't wanna save that for this evening?
I'm gonna do it this evening as well.
I have no energy.
And I'm just kind of in a weird space.
But a big meal right now would boost my confidence.
- See you. - See you.
- I'll probably hop down there too. - I'm coming as well.
Ooh!
Holy [bleep].
- You okay? - Yep.
Just can't see for a sec.
Whew.
I don't feel good right now.
I don't know what's happening.
- Laura? - What?
- Can you come here? - Yep.
What's up?
- I just got like... - Blush?
No, it's still happening.
- But it feels like prickly all the way from here to here. - Oh.
Here to here. My [bleep] ankles and my face across my nose.
- My hands definitely look red, right? - Yeah.
I did stand up, and I blacked out.
I know my body. I know my limits.
And I am willing to push myself really hard.
But I think my concern is starting to sink in for myself...
whether my body will keep up
with the way that I want to take on these challenges.
Losing vision or blacking out can be a sign of dehydration
or a symptom of a more serious medical condition.
A medic is sent to evaluate Kaiela.
What's going on?
I got really lightheaded
and then my feet and my hands
and my face got really tingly.
- But you didn't pull it, huh? - No.
Kaiela is an incredibly strong, badass woman.
But I'm really worried about her.
This isn't normal.
When was the last time you ate something substantial?
- Last night. - Mm-hmm. What was it?
I had half an egg.
We'll do your blood pressure and then we'll do the thing
where we stand you up and we'll see what happens.
My neck is a little bit jacked up.
So, having a camp mate feel less than 100%,
we could be at risk for elimination.
We could be getting a scroll at any moment in time
and heading to a challenge.
Can you just relax this arm down by your side?
Not a huge jump in your heart rate, which is a really good sign.
I have a very strong suspicion
that you're getting a little bit malnourished.
Eggs are great, but there's no real carbs in that.
So we need to see if we can figure out
how you guys are going to get faster carbs.
Here's my fear.
Something about being on that starting line of a challenge.
I push myself really hard.
It is like this weird thing that comes out of me.
It's this gremlin that wants to compete, and I can't contain it.
Once it's out, it's out.
And then I'm still not eating the amount that I should be.
And I get skinny, and I wither away.
I know that I will put myself in that situation again.
And then I know the repercussions of that.
At the end of the day, we have one body,
um, and no amount of money
is worth sacrificing your health for.
2 You can sit down.
So the plan
is you hydrate yourself as much as possible.
Um, and I'm going to check on you a couple of times today.
We need to see if we can get you some faster carbs.
Kaiela has been diagnosed with low blood pressure
caused by the lack of balanced nutrients and carbohydrates.
The medics will continue to monitor her progress.
For now, she is cleared to continue in the competition.
It just sucks to see someone like Kaiela hurting,
feeling really lightheaded. It's a downward spiral.
So we're gonna need to figure out something big and get her feeling better.
If you get any episodes where you stand up
- and your vision changes, just tell me. - Okay.
That's the thing that I wanna hear about
because I think that's like an unacceptable sort of point of symptoms.
Just trying to go out and get Kaiela some berries.
She's, uh, struggling a little bit with the lack of carbs
and her blood pressure right now.
So if I can find her some berries,
that's gonna help her to get back to good and normal.
Just trying to move quick so that I'm minimizing my sun exposure.
And hopefully this will
get her feeling better
sooner than later.
As I'm picking these for Kaiela,
it's hard to not think about previous Naked and Afraid challenges
because on every other challenge that we've done,
we are supporting each other and working together.
But here, we're competing against each other.
I love survival, and I love wild places.
But I don't love competition.
It just doesn't come naturally for me.
And it's a weird mind game.
I don't really know how to balance it.
But it's hard to put my heart into it.
- Berries! - yeah, dude.
Got as many currants as I could find.
- So-- - You're amazing.
- Oh, my gosh. - Thank you so much.
Yeah, I hope it sort of helps.
- I mean, it's better than nothing, I think. - Yeah.
I guarantee it will.
- It's berry nice of you. - You're berry, berry nice.
Yeah.
I'm feeling fantastic.
I have had a lot of protein with that boar.
I also have all I can eat, eggs.
And so right now, I have enough food
and enough fat reserve that I can power myself through any part of this challenge.
But I need to be able to be full strength and ready to go.
So today, I have to do what I don't like to do.
And that's rest and sit.
Time for some fun bushcraft
because I'm not a resting sitting guy.
I'm a working on stuff guy.
I'm making one of them bullroars.
You might wanna be careful.
Those are for communicating with thespirit world.
I know.
I wrote a research paper on them once.
Oh, did you?
I'm assuming it's gotta be thin to make noise or not.
Think of a propeller.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
The bullroar is an indigenous Australian ceremonial instrument
used by male elders to ward off the trickster spirits
believed to inhabit the outback.
A bullroar is crafted...
A bullroarer is crafted by carving wood into the shape of a fan blade.
It is then attached to a long rope.
When swung at high speed, it releases a deep, audible vibration
that can be heard from afar.
Legend has it, throughout civilization,
it's a device to fend off evil spirits.
That's something I've wanted to make for a long time.
One really common thing was women were not allowed to hear the sound of it.
Oh, interesting.
Men's magic.
Take that as you will.
I was gonna boil water somewhere.
Okay.
So, we'll just get up here
and find a good little portion of shade.
Sounds great. Are you gonna start fishing already?
Yeah. I might even just...
make a little bobber, put a little piece of wood,
stick it on a stick, and I'll sit and hang out with you.
Kaiela, her health is starting to decline
from not getting the right kind of nutrition.
We're definitely depleted
and the constant challenges are calorically very demanding.
So, we're gonna go fishing to try to refuel
and give our bodies what they need for the next competition.
This is a trial run here.
Darrin's nervous. He says the spirit world's gonna be coming for us.
Supposed to ward spirits off. Like, a bunch of the tribes,
like, you couldn't sound the bullroarer off where a woman could hear it
because it would chase the spirits to them.
I wanna see what it sounds like.
Summoning the spirits, Darrin!
Stealth technology, Darrin.
I'm just gonna go meet up with the other girls
and just kind of have a low testosterone day.
Matt and Darrin, they're amazing, amazing guys to be with.
I mean, I couldn't ask for anybody better.
But being with them, I doubt myself every day.
I don't know, I'd love to see...
I'd love to see how the girls are feeling, 'cause I know that,
with their injuries and how they've been feeling,
um, I don't know, I feel like maybe they might be feeling the same as me.
Any action?
No. No bites.
Yeah.
Uh-huh.
I hear voices.
- That Trish and Cheeny? - Probably.
Hah, we found you.
What up?
- Oh, yeah. - Come and sit with us.
- That's right. - Get up in here.
Thanks, babe.
It's pretty cool we're halfway through
- and it's half men, half women. - Yeah.
- I like it. - It's pretty cool.
Yeah.
So, do you think that the next thing will be an elimination,
- even with Jermaine gone? - I don't know.
It's so hard to tell.
Maybe it would be like...
you know, like an all-individual something.
- Yeah. - Maybe. I mean...
We haven't had an individual one since day one, so...
- So... - Yeah.
I would love the individual challenge.
Yeah, I just don't think the women are gonna last long
if we do individual challenges.
'Cause right now, I mean, they could peg us off one by one
- if it's, like, strength and speed, pretty much. - Right.
You know, 'cause they've got that on us.
Yeah, that's the only thing I'm worried about, is like...
Yeah.
I love individual challenges, but...
The only way you're even gonna advance
is if the males are on the team.
Is if... Yeah. Is if you get carried by men,
which I don't wanna ever have anyone say that I got carried.
That's what I'm thinking right now, too,
'cause I'm like, "Look, I'm with Matt and Darrin." Like, come on.
"Of course Trish made it to day 20.
Look who she was with. She was with Matt and Darrin."
"Oh, of course Kaiela made it as long as she did.
- She's with Max." Like, you know... - Yeah.
You know that's what they're gonna say.
Oh, yeah. No, I know.
And then, you might win if it's a fluke at the end.
I'm just as tough as anybody else out here.
But the muscle and the speed that these men have
it's gonna be something that I'm not gonna be able to compete with.
And I don't want to be brought up to the top
on the arms of some strong men.
I've made my peace with whatever happens.
I know. I'm honestly, so, like...
I'm at peace leaving whenever, for sure.
- On my own terms. - Yeah.
I'm not gonna make a fool out of myself.
That's kind of where I'm at.
I just feel like I'm like background noise.
I'm not the main player in this.
Yeah, same.
Let's all go together.
It's [bleep] up how tempting that is.
Group tap.
Just get it over with.
Let the boys have at it.
Yeah. Tempting.
Seriously.
- Let's all leave tomorrow. - Yup.
Quadruple tap.
2
There was a hard conversation to have,
talking about wanting to leave
and not wanting to be here.
We have some really strong women here,
but the energy in the air, it's like this kind of heaviness.
And I get it.
But I just kind of feel like I need a little bit of solitude,
just to kind of gather my thoughts.
I see something small and brown just over here in the reeds.
It's too far of a shot.
Umm...
I need to get closer so I can get a good kill shot. I wanna be within 15 yards.
But they went in here into this thick stuff,
so I'm wondering if I can come around
and try to meet 'em on the other side.
I don't know how I feel about it. I'm still trying to figure it out.
And it's such a weird thing for me to wrap my mind around.
The pigs have no idea I'm here.
There's probably five or six pigs just up here.
I'm gonna go very, very slow,
try to sneak up on 'em.
This is so mentally and emotionally challenging.
The combination of the competition and this environment,
it's hard.
It's real hard sometimes.
But the only way out is through.
You gotta be me!
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, but Jesus.
It's getting late. I gotta get back to camp.
The sun is way down.
- Today was heavy. - Yeah.
It was a really... I was really in my head about some [bleep] and...
Yeah.
It's crazy that they even thought that.
I mean, it's not, though. It's true.
If you had done that whole axe challenge
by cutting the tree down by yourself,
- you would have won first. - Yeah.
So, what are you gonna do? Just leave?
Just be like, "I don't wanna--"
It's the one thing you can control.
We're sitting here, trashing our bodies some more.
- For nothing. - For nothing.
Amen.
Stop. You're not making this decision while you're hungry.
I'm gonna go for a hunt tomorrow.
Let's get some food in our bellies
and figure this thing out together.
- No, stop. - No, I mean it.
Yeah, no.
Damn.
Yeah.
All right.
Here we go.
- Have a great day. - You, too.
You, too. Kill a pig.
Bring home the bacon.
Yeah.
Bye.
It blows my mind to see Laura and Kaiela in their heads.
I don't think there's any world
where those women got to where they're at on the backs of men.
Feel like something's changed in them, and I don't like it at all.
So, I found a really big lake.
Looks like there's a bunch of scrub all around it.
Food is pretty much everything out here,
and without that, a little hive mentality in their heads.
It's just gonna get worse and worse.
So, I'm deciding to go.
Trying to get some protein on the table.
Hopefully, my camp can pull it together.
Just about first light, and I'm right along this massive lake.
I'm hoping that there's either deer
or there's some hogs around here
that we could be eating.
I've reached my healthy limit.
I know I could go way further, which I always do in the past,
and I am not willing to do that again.
Oh, fishing asset for Max.
The reason for us all is completely different,
and nobody came out here to go home early.
But we all feel like it doesn't seem right for us to be out here.
Hey, beautiful girls.
I don't take challenges lightly.
I've never, ever thought about leaving a challenge early, ever.
But this is not something that I can beat.
This is something I can't compete with.
Did you have fun on your walkabout?
Cool.
Here comes Patrick.
Pretty epic new hunting location.
Just no actual pigs and deer today.
But I feel like I'm getting closer and closer.
I just gotta keep plugging away.
I came back home from hunting,
and seeing all of the ladies' stuff,
their knives, their hides, fire starters.
I don't know if they wanna be here anymore.
God damn it!
2
Is that good? Can we all be seen, or should we lift this up?
Welcome to our TED Talk.
Who would like to go first?
- Anybody? - I got... I'll start.
So...
So far, this challenge has been pretty difficult and, um...
I've been lucky enough to be paired with some really strong men.
I feel like I would have had a chance
to possibly win or be in the top three if...
the challenges were built for a woman,
and not a woman...
And not just riding the coattails of men.
It sucks knowing that, even if I went home as the last one standing,
it's just because I got far enough
using the men that were around me to succeed,
and maybe get lucky at the end.
Now, in real survival, this is never really an issue
because we find ways to compensate for our lack of strength and speed,
which is just biology.
But this is different.
This is us taking control back.
This is what strong women do.
We're out.
It's a very difficult moment for me.
I need to take all that noise, and I need to silence it.
I need to focus on me and myself.
I gotta figure this thing out.
- Oi, there you go! - Hello!
Oh, my gosh. I came back from hunting
and I saw all your stuff on my bed.
Uh, we're doing a thing.
- Yeah. - Yeah, we're leaving.
- Leaving? - The competition.
- Oh, leaving-leaving. - We are leaving-leaving?
We all kind of had a little... a little thing together...
where we expressed our thoughts
on what was happening within this challenge,
and came to a group decision that it's okay to go home.
Do we know where Cheeny is at all or not?
- She was with us earlier, but... - I think she is
- very much on the fence. - Okay.
We don't know what she's gonna do.
We've talked about it for days.
We all have varying reasons.
But for me, personally, sacrificing my health to be here is not worth it.
I'm not gonna push myself to an unhealthy limit.
But, like, so okay with my decision
and letting you guys duke it out. Like...
Yeah, I wanna see the boys go Lord of the Flies on that
We all have, like, our own reasons,
and it's not fair to be here if your heart's not in it.
I don't really... I'm not really a competition person.
So, for me, it's like, you know,
you win and you're excited and you look,
and then someone else is losing and they're sad.
And I'm too [bleep] empathetic to do that,
and I don't have it in my heart to wanna win.
So, it's not really fair for me to be here.
- I fought a lot to be in this challenge. - You did.
- Two eliminations. - Yeah.
But I can see it. You guys are all amazing, strong, athletic survivalists.
The challenge has been very strength and speed-based, and that's not me.
You know, if we were us three versus three of you,
I mean, really, biologically, we are women.
I'm not gonna be that hen in the cockfight.
I'm awestruck. I'm dumbfounded.
I can't believe that these strong, badass women that never tapped,
are pulling the plug on their challenge.
Devastating.
And the fact that two of 'em are in my camp, and I'm left alone,
it freaking hurts.
But, you know, I think Laura and Kaiela got in their heads,
and they kind of spiraled a little bit together.
But sometimes you're just... your head's not in and your heart's not in it,
and you gotta trust your gut.
- You three women are badasses. - Yeah.
So, don't ever discredit yourself for thinking
- you can't compete against a cockfight. - No, I never would. Yeah.
It's...
I'll hold my own.
But, you know, when you continue to put yourself in the ring
in the ring time after time, especially in these conditions, you do...
It takes enough of a toll on your body.
And I'm really proud of myself, personally,
for finding that limit before I hit it...
- Yeah. - ...and calling it.
I truly wish you guys weren't going.
I wish we could have continued to compete.
But at the same time, I understand.
I hope you guys kill it out here, 'cause I know you will.
- Love you, guys. - Love you, too.
I just can't wrap my head around the fact that they think
they have stolen valor, or we carried them through any challenges.
Like, without Laura, we wouldn't have found that basalt.
We wouldn't have found the right axe heads.
Went knocking off the biggest rocks you could ever find right now.
Like, that's contributing.
Just because you didn't muscle through that tree
doesn't mean you didn't contribute, by any means.
It's looking good, dude.
Hell, yeah, Kaiela. Good work.
In no way, shape, or form
did they ride my coattails, Matt's coattails,
or any of the men out here's coattails.
And, yeah, I hope they can see that that's not the case.
And if not, you know, they'll figure it out at some point.
- We'll miss y'all's. - Bye, guys.
See you at The Ritz.
Well, damn.
Yup, that's crazy.
A little unexpected.
- Australia has a way of getting in people's heads. - Mmm-hmm.
- This challenge is tough on your body... - Yeah.
- ...specifically for women. - Yeah.
I'm just bummed to see them leave because,
you know, that was my camp. Those were my girls.
And I thought...
you know, if anything, that we would at least be riding out together.
I wonder what's up with Cheeny?
- I wonder. - Haven't seen Cheeny for a while.
I'm torn.
I've got loyalty to the girls, and I've got loyalty to the guys.
At the end of the day, I have to have a loyalty to myself.
I've always been just this small little person,
and I've accomplished such big things, you know?
I've always been the only girl.
My senior class started 52 of us.
I was the only girl.
I graduated with 22.
I was the only girl.
Every unit I've ever been in, usually the only girl.
But that's just how it is, and that's okay.
I could've quit so many times in senior school. It was [bleep] hard.
But I couldn't call my parents and tell them I quit.
The odds are definitely stacked against me,
but I have what it takes to be here.
And if I were to walk away today without trying,
I would always have regrets.
But right now, there's this feeling in my heart and in my gut
that is screaming at me, "You belong here.
You belong here."
I wanna be in the top three,
and I wanna win.
For the first time,
I have bailed out of a challenge
and I don't feel bad about it.
It is not a decision that I took lightly.
I'm strong, I'm tough,
and I have fought to be here every second of the way,
but I know when I'm up against a losing battle,
and this is my time. It's time to go.
I'm incredibly proud of myself.
I came out here thinking that I wasn't gonna do as well as I did,
and I crushed it from day one.
I literally gave it my all.
I feel really good about what I've done out here.
I've found parts of myself out here
that I didn't know that I had.
I am super, super competitive.
But I'm also learning to know when to call it quits,
and I'm at a good spot with myself
to be able to walk away from this with my head held high,
and to know that I've fought and deserved to be here,
and it's okay to go home.
I am tapping out of my first challenge right now,
which is crazy,
but this is one of the toughest challenges
that Naked and Afraid has to offer,
and I need to be on the top of my game to do well right now.
I'm not there.
It's not in the cards for me this time around.
I've never tapped out.
This is the hardest thing I've ever done,
but I'm not scared of doing hard things.
This is the right thing for me to do.
After Laura, Trish and Kaiela's
unprecedented decision to leave the challenge,
Cheeny is the sole female remaining in the fight
to be the Last One Standing.
I can't believe they would leave like that.
I don't know where the [bleep] Cheeny is.
Having Trish, Laura and Kaiela tap out,
I have mixed feelings about this because, on one hand,
I am closer to being the Last One Standing,
but on another hand,
I wanted to compete against these people,
not just have them be taken out by the environment.
- That was some heavy [bleep]. - Crazy.
It's really easy to wanna give up out here
when you feel like you're not pulling ahead,
like everything's against you.
I could have walked away when everybody else decided to tap out,
but I still have so much to do.
Hey, boys.
- Hey! - Hey, you.
We've been worried about you.
- Hey, you better not be telling us bad news. - Yeah.
We've had enough bad news for today.
I'm not going anywhere.
I'm the last woman here,
and I'm literally carrying the torch.
This is my game now.
We're just going over our sorrows.
You guys shouldn't feel sorry.
We're just sitting kind of heavy with the whole thing.
It's one thing to take people out in a competition,
but this felt just as, like, heart wrenching
as seeing Jamie go out in the ambulance.
- Yeah. - I'm gonna miss them terribly,
but when it came time to make a decision,
my heart said no,
and there was no questioning it.
You know, I came out here for a reason.
My heart said, "Stay."
- I'm so glad that you did, dude. - Yeah.
- Good on you. - I'm glad you stayed.
You got what it takes.
- You're tough. - That's what I've been told.
I think Cheeny, the fact that she's staying here
is that she feels like she can ride with the boys.
She doesn't care who she's going up against,
and I respect that.
You know, having those two ladies in my camp,
- we had a really good time, and... - Yeah.
...and like, within an instant, you know, your partners are gone
- and now you're by yourself and... - Yeah.
...it just sucks to see them go.
Twenty-four hours a day,
- Australia has been trying to whoop our asses. - Yeah.
This is a tough environment.
It's put all of us veterans through the wringer.
- We still have a long ways to go... - Yep.
...and whoever wins this thing
sure as hell deserves it.
2
I've been in kind of a funk ever since the ladies left.
I've been kind of just reeling
from just the camaraderie that I had
to not having anybody at all.
My shot's off today.
I guess I'm not hungry enough.
Laura and I just spent 20, 20-plus days together
freaking battling from challenge to challenge,
and with her and Kaiela,
I thought we were feeling strong.
- Let it down, let it down. - Whoo!
- Second place baby. - Yeah!
- Good job. Yes! - Let's go.
Yes!
I'm absolutely gutted to lose both my partners
and I can feel it. I've been in my head about it.
I hate when people leave.
We become family, we become bonded through this experience.
I've experienced a triple tap
on my 21-day challenge where everyone left me.
- Get me out of here. - Get me out!
It was so abrupt,
and that's how I'm feeling right now,
but you have to pick up the pieces and keep moving,
and that's what I did there.
Yes!
My partners all tapped out.
It took a lot not to do the same.
I truly pushed myself to the test.
This is one of the hardest experiences I've ever had.
And the only way to be the Last One Standing
is all on your own.
Consistently just shooting way too low.
It's crazy.
I've done some pretty heroic stuff
on these challenges solo,
so this is just another moment
where I'm gonna have to step up.
Bull's eye.
When it counts, you gotta get it.
The sooner we put on a fresh pot of coffee,
- not a fresh pot of water. - Mmm.
You know, honestly, there's no place else I'd rather be right now.
No. Me neither.
Yeah.
- Ooh, Patrick. - What?
- We got a scroll. - What?
- We have a scroll. - No way.
Oh, yeah.
What's that thing say, Matt?
"Starting today, there are no more camp competitions."
- Woah! - Ooo!
Damn.
Here we go. Now the battle really starts.
"To become the Last One Standing,
you must compete as an individual going forward."
Today we get to actually put our individual skills to the test.
"Proceed to the map with all your assets to leave your mark."
Damn.
Competition day. You're on your own.
Going forward, this is gonna be battle royale.
I would like to see, like, where I actually stand
- amongst everybody else. - Yeah.
Okay. Get rolling.
Being the only girl here, surrounded by these guys,
I'm the underdog here, for sure,
but there's no reason why a woman can't win this,
and today is my day to prove it.
I've been insulated by the group for most of this challenge.
Kind of helped me camouflage myself
throughout this whole thing,
and now it's individual from here on out,
so no more camouflage.
Now it's time to show my colors.
Let's do this.
I got a lot of to bring.
I'm packing for three.
All right.
As for assets, we got bows,
we got two knives and fishing gear.
Our camp's disbanded.
I'm no longer competing with Matt,
I'm now competing against Matt.
He's as solid as it gets at survival.
I don't believe Matt has any weakness,
so he's a serious threat.
- Ready to do this? - Let's do this.
I'm gonna have to be at the top of my game
because the five people that are left right now
are all tough sons of bitches.
Every single one of them.
- The adventure begins again. - Yep.
- All right, well... - Shall we?
Let's do it.
It's only a matter of time
before one of us is the Last One Standing.
- Pretty wild. - Yep.
What's up, guys?
- Hey, boys. - What's up?
We meet again.
Whoo.
"Today you will compete as individuals.
You must place three kill shots in a target
to earn your chance to butcher a feral animal."
All right.
Ooo.
I'm stoked about this.
I haven't been able to compete as an individual since day one,
and now I get a chance again to show what I'm worth.
In this two-phase bow and butcher challenge,
survivalists must take aim at a target 30 yards away.
They must hit three kill shots
in the center of their kangaroo hide to advance.
Okay.
I been shooting a bow my whole life,
and I might not be the best, but I'm competitive.
Now we get to really see
what each one of us has to bring.
For primitive hunters,
a clean kill shot is often the difference between failure...
...and success.
My arrow went straight through the entire body,
through the lungs.
Let's go. I'm hungry.
In phase two, survivalist butchering knowledge
is put to a test.
They must skin and gut a feral rabbit
-without spoiling the meat. - Oh, [bleep].
What's going on?
His intestines burst.
This is the challenge of my dreams.
I am the most successful archer
to ever touch into Naked and Afraid history,
but I have to make sure that I humble myself because,
if you start getting over cocky
and forget what you're supposed to be doing,
that's when you miss.
"First, surrender all cached items.
You must earn your use of these items
for the rest of the competition."
- Ooo! - Okay. Let's turn this stuff in.
- All right. - Okay.
We have to turn in all our earned assets,
and that's always interesting,
and you don't know what you're gonna get at the end of the day.
- Ooo. - Let's turn this stuff in.
All right. I hope I don't get stuck with rope.
I'm very comfortable with skinning animals,
but the first step of this challenge,
not so much in my favor
because I am the least experienced bow hunter here,
and I'm nervous.
"The first survivalist to complete the task of butchering
will earn their meat, plus an additional asset,
a block of salt."
That's a big bag of salt.
That's gold. That is gold out here.
Yeah, we need that.
"The last to hit their mark will not earn protein."
- Ooh. Okay. - Wow. That hurts.
Only the first four to finish will claim a rabbit.
Fifth place will earn no food asset.
In addition to the salt and protein,
the winner gets first pick of two assets.
Second place earns a choice of two assets,
while third, fourth and fifth
walk away with a single item each.
The stakes are huge.
I'm gonna have to step up.
I'm gonna have to hit those targets
so I can pick up those assets.
I need to get protein in my belly
to make myself stronger,
to push myself into the next part of this challenge.
And I'm feeling it.
I'm feeling close to being the LOS,
or else I'll be SOL.
"Since you now compete as individuals,
these assets cannot be shared."
Okay.
Someone's getting left out today
with one item and no food.
Pretty intimidating to be a woman
surrounded by these big, burly men.
These guys have had bow kills on Naked and Afraid,
and in real life,
and when it comes down to it,
I have the least amount of bow experience.
"Your challenge starts now."
- Let's go. - Let's get there!
2 - "Your challenge starts now." - Let's go.
In phase one of this bow and butcher challenge,
the survivalists must fire arrows
at a kangaroo pelt 30 yards away
and land three kill shots
before they can advance to phase two,
the butchering of a feral rabbit.
My competitors,
they're used to hunting hogs from a tree stand,
but this is like stalking and hunting my prey.
This is what I do.
At stake is a satchel of salt for first place
and the chance to claim surrendered survival assets
based on the order the competitors finish.
Only the first four survivalists to complete the phase
will have an opportunity to butcher a rabbit...
- Let's freaking go. - Here we go, baby.
...leaving fifth place without a food cache.
I've been practicing with a bow.
A lot of people thought it was cocky of me
to pick a bow instead of a fishing asset on day one,
but this is my moment right here
to prove them all wrong.
The first arrow I shoot is a hit.
I'm feeling good right now.
Let's freaking go.
Just getting to the target,
checking this thing out.
You know, I have so much experience in this space on Naked and Afraid...
Low, low, low, low.
...and when it matters, I've been able to execute,
and when it's all on me, I've been able to execute.
This is an incredibly difficult challenge.
Just getting there out of breath
is detrimental to your aim.
You've gotta calm down.
You've gotta slow yourself down to get these arrows in.
Oh, [bleep]. That one sucked.
All right, I'm gonna take my arrows out of the quiver
so I don't waste any time.
I've got some pretty stiff competition here today,
and I pull back to shoot...
...and I miss.
It's okay. I don't skip a beat.
Nice and easy. Just like I'm in my backyard.
I'm getting closer to the target.
Be cool. Be calm.
Just to the left.
All right.
Let's do this. We gotta get these shots on target.
Everybody gets to their bows way before I do,
but I need to keep that heart rate down.
The harder your heart's racing, the easier it is to miss.
So, I am just keeping myself calm.
To my surprise,
I actually miss the kill zone.
What I need to do now is stay slow and steady.
I pull the boat back, look at the target,
and I don't shoot an arrow yet.
I'm letting my mind's eye
start to tell me where I need to feel it.
Hit!
Perfect hit. Just second nature.
I shoot my next one.
- I miss.
So, I'm gonna take my time, slow down.
I am only focused on my target
and being accurate,
because accuracy, not necessarily speed,
is what's gonna win me this competition.
Hit.
Kill shot.
Hit!
At this point, I don't even think I'm with competitors anymore.
I'm by myself in the middle of a hunt,
and each hunt is gonna secure me food
or leave me at the wayside.
Hit!
Bunny time!
Wow.
Matt is lights out. He's done.
This hurts because I haven't been able to hit this target.
My competitors expected nothing less,
but I'm not letting my guard down yet.
I have to keep myself in it in order to win.
Choose my bunny.
In phase two, survivalists must butcher a feral rabbit
to ensure maximum yield, and preservation of its meat.
The head, feet, and legs of the hare must be severed
and the fur completely skinned.
Digestive organs must be removed and discarded
to avoid bacterial contamination of the flesh.
I immediately remembered my dad
showing me how to gut a rabbit without a knife.
Quick way to gut it.
Essentially, if you squeeze the guts
towards the rear end of this rabbit,
and you give it a baseball homerun swing,
and those guts fly out clean as a whistle.
Okay.
I skinned it in seconds,
cut his feet off, and the rabbit is now completely clean.
I have won this competition.
First place, baby.
It... I have trained my entire life.
If I didn't get first in this,
it would have just been a travesty.
With the top spot secured,
the other four competitors are still in phase one.
They must shoot three arrows
into the center of their target.
While Max hasn't landed a kill shot,
Patrick, Cheeny and Darrin are all tied with one.
I hit that one.
I'm shaking. I'm nervous.
I'm starting to go through these arrows.
I've got one kill shot.
I've got a couple of misses.
That's when I start the self-doubt,
and that's when I need to crush that little voice
and say, "Shut the [bleep] up."
I don't stop for a minute. I don't get down.
I just keep grabbing arrows. I just keep shooting.
I'm still shooting low.
Damn! Come on. Come on.
Whoa! Way off.
The speed of this is so much different.
I've never had to try to let so many arrows go
and try to hit that spot under pressure like that.
I lost all my fundamentals.
I think everybody here forgot
-that I came in first place on day one.
So, I need to remind them why I'm here
and why I came into this competition so cocky.
I think I hit that one.
As soon as I get my third arrow in, I look around,
and the only one gone is Matt.
I get to my rabbit.
I find the biggest rabbit there is
because I know I'm gonna be able to eat this.
I gotta get this as fast as possible,
try to get to assets.
Right now, I have an advantage.
I have two hits.
Patrick's in front of me, but it doesn't matter.
I just keep shooting. I'm not giving up.
I have two hits.
Hit.
-I get my third kill shot. - Yes!
I just turn around and I run right towards that rabbit.
Come on, grab it! Yeah!
Goddamn, that feels good.
All right.
Patrick and Cheeny are now both in phase two
and fighting for second place.
Whoever finishes next claims two items.
The third place finisher gets only one asset.
All right, now I'm gonna glove skin it.
I do a little slice in the back of the rabbit,
I grab, you know, each side of the hide,
and I just stretch it and I pull it apart.
It's called glove skinning.
Hair's off in an instant.
Since day one, Cheeny and I have been coming together,
and now here we are going head to head, neck and neck.
So far, so good,
but Cheeny's making progress fast.
I am right behind Patrick.
Everything's on the line here.
Whether I'm eating tonight or not,
whether or not I'm gonna get the assets that I want,
I need to finish in the top.
2
Take the fur off.
With Matt winning first place,
Cheeny and Patrick are in phase two,
where the first to fully process their rabbit
will earn second place and to survival assets.
I don't want my rabbit meat to get tainted,
so I gotta get these guts out of it.
Very carefully gut it.
Make an incision.
Don't wanna puncture the guts.
Wow.
Max and Darrin remain in phase one.
The first to land three kill shots
will claim the fourth and final rabbit,
-ending the challenge for the other.
Low, low, low, low.
I feel like there's like a black cloud over my head right now,
and I'm just trying to shake it.
I'm just off.
If I get last place, not only do I only get one asset,
I don't get any protein.
Hit!
Eating is strength out here,
and I have to get one of those rabbits.
I cannot come in fifth place today.
Every challenge could be the difference between going home
or being the last one standing.
Hit!
Missed all of them.
It's too late. Darrin's off to the races.
And that means I'm in last place.
It's unfortunate.
This is the first time I ever got DNF, "Did Not Finish",
and I'm pretty gutted.
Looks like I'm starving tonight. Puts me in a tough spot.
Darrin claims the final rabbit
and joins Patrick and Cheeny
in phase two of the challenge
where he must fully process his hare.
Nasty rabbit guts.
I'm the fourth person. I got the fourth rabbit.
You could pull through against incredible odds out here.
I know I still have the chance to finish in the top three,
and I want to choose an asset before the last person does.
I've cleaned many a rabbit over the years.
While Darrin begins skinning his rabbit,
Patrick has only the feet and head to remove.
I need to calm down, breathe.
While Cheeny still needs to fully gut hers.
Crimson heart.
Okay.
Push the poop out of the butt.
Focus on what I'm doing. Be as quick as possible.
Chop the head and I'm done.
I'm done, baby! I'm done!
That's right. I'm out of here.
Who says girls can't do this?
Yes, dude! Yeah, baby! I'm top three!
I think it's good.
Hey, at last!
My shooting was what my shooting was,
but, uh, oh, well, hey, I still came in fourth.
I got food in my belly and I get to pick an item.
That's all that matters.
Who says girls can't dominate in this challenge?
I'm out here carrying the torch for women now.
I'm the last one left.
There's no reason why a woman can't win this.
I feel like a bad bitch right now, baby.
I feel like a bad bitch right now. Yes!
Bummer.
To not be able to hit a stationary target is just unacceptable.
- Enjoy those rabbits, man. - Yeah.
I'm losing my dignity a little bit.
This is the first time I've ever had to be in the last place position.
So, that sucks.
And, um, it's just something I'm not used to.
Let's pick our item, shall we?
- Ooh, boy! - I've been waiting for this.
With Matt taking first place in the challenge,
he received salt and his choice of two assets.
I think I'm going for the knife.
Then, my bow is lonely over here.
I decided to take the bow and the knife
because I figured there's a good chance
that I am going to be putting that to use.
If I stay healthy, I stay strong.
I know I'm going to be very hard to beat.
In second place, Patrick can choose two of the remaining items.
Definitely taking my bow back,
and the fishing asset.
I'm gonna cover all my bases.
If it's too hot to hunt during the day, I can fish.
This is a game-changer for me.
Finishing third, Cheeny takes a fishing asset.
She who controls the food, controls the power.
And in fourth, Darrin takes a bow and arrow.
Try my luck out there with the pigs.
The only asset left that can help you gather food.
And eating is everything.
You feed yourself the best way possible,
and I got a bow and I'm gonna start hunting more.
And with all bows and fishing assets claimed,
Max takes the scrubber bull hide.
The amount of energy you burn
by not being able to stay warm...
That's what I'm gonna do here.
I put myself in a really tough position to come back from.
I will not be able to provide food for myself.
Uh, that's unfortunate,
considering that you need to eat in order to win.
With no more assets to be claimed,
two knives and the jute rope are removed from the challenge.
Let's get out of here, cook some lunch up.
Today was a big day for me.
My first solo competition against the guys.
I'm the only girl here still.
Some women were afraid they couldn't compete in this competition.
You smoked Max.
I did smoke Max.
- That's why you gotta try. - Yeah.
You never know.
I have the least amount of days on Naked and Afraid,
but I beat Darrin, I beat Max today.
Max is a big dog in this fight,
and he just got beat by a house cat.
That was a hell of a challenge, buddy.
I don't want to rub it in, Darrin,
but I can't share right now with this salt.
And look at that right there.
Gah!
Pure white gold.
It is more salt in this one piece
than we're getting from any of these fish
or any of these, you know, regular animals.
And to be able to put that into something is absolutely phenomenal.
It allows moisture to go back in the muscles.
It allows your organs to function properly,
your eyes to see clear.
This bundle of salt is absolutely gold
in a survival scenario.
Yeah, we're just gonna make rabbit stew.
Quickest, easiest way to cook these rabbits all the way through.
They've been in the sun a while.
I want to make sure mine's well done
and doesn't dry out.
Like rabbit's notorious for just drying out
if you cook it over a spit.
All that comes together and should make a fantastic...
salty rabbit stew.
Yeah, rub it in.
Rabbit stew is ready.
Oh, my gosh, this looks so good.
My rabbit... Oh, my gosh, that's so much meat.
Mmm.
The best thing I've eaten.
Mm-hmm.
I just pulled my rabbit out of the pot.
The meat is falling off the bone.
That rabbit... Oh, so delicious.
One of my very first hunts ever as a kid,
I remember hunting rabbits, and this...
This is making me homesick.
Kind of [bleep] the bed today, not stoked.
That's how it goes.
Fifth place is a rough place to be,
especially when I only got one asset and no food.
Food is pretty much everything out here,
and without that, I'm in a tough spot.
That makes my opponent stronger,
makes me weaker.
And, um, now I have no way to actually feed myself.
So, as I contemplate
my inability to execute today, just...
It's just really unfortunate.
I wanted a bow and arrow,
but looks like I'm starving tonight.
I put myself in a really tough position
to come back from in that competition today.
There's a big old boar.
I can't believe that. Without having a bow...
That sucks.
When it's push comes to shove
and you're stripped of everything,
you realize what you're made of.
We're gonna see what I'm made of.
2 We're gonna see what I'm made of.
First day, I don't have a bow in my camp.
Ten-foot shot from a boar.
So, another strikeout.
It feels good to be eating right again.
I know.
I'm gonna go, uh...
get a couple of pieces of wood
while I wait for that to warm up.
Yeah, man. Sounds good.
All right, buddy.
Have a swig of that freshwater.
Yeah.
Oh-ho!
Scroll day.
- Oh, Cheeny. - Yeah, bud.
- There's double scroll mail. - Double?
There's two scrolls right now, dude.
We've never had two.
- Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. - We are individuals now.
Let's see. What could it be?
"Proceed to the map with all your assets."
"To begin your migration to Zone 3..."
"You will face a decision."
Ooh, I wonder what that decision is.
- That's odd. - Huh.
Ooh.
Damn. Okay, well...
better start packing.
The survivalists are instructed to pack up their camps
and migrate two miles east over a ridge line to Zone 3.
There, rivers feed
into three of the largest lakes in the region,
with one spanning over 25 acres,
surrounded by marshlands
and brimming with feral hogs and excess deer.
But at a higher elevation, this area is more exposed
and susceptible to stronger winds,
cooler temperatures and rain.
Once in Zone 3,
they will learn about the next stage of the challenge
and make a decision
that will impact them for the rest of the competition.
Hunter-gatherers move a lot,
and, uh, we've depleted the resources here.
Just hoping to, uh, be able to find more food.
Every day, you gotta walk farther for everything here,
and, uh, a new location gives us new opportunities.
This whole challenge, you never really know what's coming.
The only way to prepare is prepare for the unexpected,
and that's the best we can do.
Let's get out of here.
Looks like there's a scroll on that tree.
Yeah.
All right. "You are here.
Take your assets and select a new path.
You cannot choose the same path as your camp mate."
After choosing their path, the remaining survivalists
must trek a half mile farther into Zone 3.
There they will camp in two locations,
with one camp of three and one camp of two,
but continue to compete as individuals.
Divide and conquer.
- That's what this is gonna be. - I know.
Which way do you want to go?
You know, I'm gonna go...
I'll go left to the west.
And I'll head off into the sunrise
- at the end. - I'll see you at competition day.
- Yeah. - Bye, buddy.
See ya.
This is a new beginning for me.
I'm ready for a fresh start.
I'm the last woman here.
We don't have very long left.
I need to focus on myself.
This is about me now.
Everything I've done has culminated to the fact
that here I am in the final five.
You know, we're gonna do whatever it takes
to be the last one standing.
I am so close, I can taste it.
I feel real strong.
What does this say?
"Select a new path.
You cannot choose the same path as your camp mate."
Uh-oh. There it is.
- Well, we're splitting up, man. - Yeah.
Want to take right or left?
I might as well take a left.
Cool. I'll take a right.
- See you at the next competition. - Yep. Good luck.
I think my biggest competition out here is Matt, right?
Matt's set up right now.
He's got the salt, he's got a knife, and he's got a bow.
I have a feeling I'm gonna be battling against Matt.
But I feel like I have what it takes
to be the last one standing.
You know, I got the brains, I got the skills,
and I've always believed that or else I wouldn't be here.
I have absolutely no idea what's to come
and who else might be out this way.
But I'll tell you, doesn't really matter at this point.
I can't afford to make mistakes,
I can't afford to...
be slowed down.
I need to not give a single inch as I continue on.
You know, just packing up.
Been doing a lot of thinking.
Yesterday was a bad day for me.
I lost my partners.
Lost the challenge.
But I've come to terms with it and, um, I'm at peace.
And I'm stoked that I have a decision to make.
So, I just got to keep looking forward.
I always say it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa...
I just stepped on some coal.
Holy Hannah!
Holy [bleep]!
Go!
I am the least experienced bow hunter here.
For this competition,
the PSR or Primitive Survival Rating
weighs an individual's survival skills and items collected
to determine the likelihood of becoming
- the last one standing. - Hit.
I just kind of feel like I need a little bit of solitude
just to kind of gather my thoughts.
I could have walked away
when everybody else decided to tap out,
but I still have so much to do.
After her mental strength was tested...
- Hit! - ...Cheeny has gone all in on the competition.
Push the poop out of the butt.
And her bow and butchering skills
placed her ahead of Darrin and Max.
Yeah, baby!
Who says girls can't dominate in this challenge?
Her PSR soars from 8.4
to 8.8.
Hit! Money time!
Matt scored three kill shots
and processed his rabbit in short order...
Ha-ha! First place, baby.
...securing him salt, protein, and his pick of assets.
His PSR rises from 9.7 to 9.8.
Came back home from hunting
and all of the ladies' stuff in my bed.
Their knives, their hides.
I don't know if they want to be here anymore.
God damn it.
After losing his camp mates...
I can't believe these strong, badass women
are pulling the plug on their challenge.
Devastating.
Max struggled to recover...
I've missed all of them.
...and came in last in the Bow and Butcher challenge.
With no food or assets, and now an injury...
Oh! I just stepped on some coals.
Holy Hannah! That's not good.
...his PSR falls from 9.7 to 9.5.

2 You know, just packing up.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa...
I just stepped on some coal.
Holy Hannah! That's not good.
Yeah, I'll probably get the medic here.
Add insult to injury there.
- Hey. - Hey.
Do you think you could hop on your other leg?
I just don't want it in the sand.
The first challenge I've ever had the medics help me whatsoever.
It's crazy.
A little bit of blistering there.
Yep.
I think one section around the arch of your foot.
- Yup. - Hmm.
I think one strip across.
Do your thing, doc.
We'll give it a clean and dress it.
Yep.
The medics classify Max's burn as second degree
due to the presence of blistering
and damage to the outer layer of skin...
...and parts of the underlying layers.
There.
Yeah, just not my day.
Yeah, just kind of really not my day.
Looks lush and green in here.
Uh, it's already, like, ten degrees cooler.
This migration means it's a new level in this challenge.
We have five competitors,
and now it's time to turn things up.
And I know the competition's
gonna get harder from here on out.
Deer.
There's a whole herd of deer ahead of me.
Look.
That was a rabbit.
Already I've seen about five deer,
two hogs and a rabbit.
This area is going to be great.
Oh, I think I see water.
Nice.
Okay, I've got fresh water here.
It's moving quickly, but it's shallow.
This could be troublesome for fishing.
This looks like home to me.
Maybe like this general area.
I assume I'm the first person here,
so I guess I get to pick the shelter.
Looks all right to me.
I mean, I'm small, so even if there was two other people here,
this wouldn't be that big of a deal.
Oh, hello, Cheeny! Good.
- I'm so happy to see you. - Awesome!
Come on.
I've been out here with Matt before.
He's a very good hunter.
We've seen how he thrives on survival days.
He's the man.
So I know I've got some pretty good competition here with Matt.
Ah, so it's a little different section of river here, huh?
It is. I'm excited to explore it later.
I'm very confident that with my skills, my dedication,
that I can be the last one standing.
And I just need to remember
that each and every day is a fight for survival
and a fight to be the last one.
I can already see it's got potential for some hunting
in the distance, but...
Yeah.
- Darrin! - Hey, there's Patrick.
We camp mates?
We should be.
How'd your hunt go?
Didn't have any luck.
Walked around that whole place.
Not-- Didn't even see a thing.
Just because I've been being nice
doesn't mean Tricky is gone.
I'm lying to him because that might give me
a little bit of an advantage out here.
I'm gonna set back up in here where it's nice and shady.
Yep.
Patrick was my partner on the previous LOS,
and that guy can never be underestimated.
Patrick is tricky,
and Patrick is one of the smartest people I have ever met.
But, uh, I'll kick his ass anyways.
All right.
"You are here.
Take your assets and select a new path.
You cannot choose the same path as your camp mate."
Well, I don't have any camp mates.
Looks like I can go left or I can go right.
But I feel like I have a third choice.
