- [Paul] A group of complete strangers
from across New Zealand have arrived at this isolated lodge
to play the game of a lifetime
with the ultimate aim of winning up to $70,000.
(dramatic music)
Hidden amongst them, though,
are "The Traitors"
who will each night secretly murder their fellow players,
eliminating them from the game.
It's up to the surviving players
to work out who "The Traitors" are.
- I really trust that guy.
- I'm not making this up.
- [Paul] And banish them.
(shouts) (all yelling)
- [Paul] Because if a traitor remains undetected,
they take home all the money.
Previously,
(dramatic music)
with "The Traitors" drawing first blood.
- Let's kill Kimberly.
- Whoever you are, I hope you realise
their spirits are coming for you tonight.
- [Paul] The faithful refuse to back down.
- We need to team up.
- You'd make a good traitor.
- [Colin] Who are you gonna murder tonight? (chuckles)
- [Paul] And one bombshell betrayal.
- Loryn's a friend of mine outside of the game.
There has been a change in how I know you.
- [Paul] Led to another.
- I also voted for Loryn.
- [Paul] And a revelation.
- I'm a traitor.
(cheering)
- [Paul] But revenge...
- I think we kill a sacred little lamb.
- [Paul] is coming.
- The game is afoot. So watch out.
(upbeat theme music)
* When the devil knows your name *
* Whoa, no, no, no *
* The devil knows your name *
* When the devil knows your name *
- Oh. - Hey, hey.
- [Vanda] First in.
- [Kings] The first.
- Whoo!
Any day when you wake up
and you haven't been murdered in the night is a good day.
- So how'd you sleep?
- I slept like rubbish.
- [Kings] Yeah, it was sweet.
Oh, look at that.
They got the big cross on the name as well.
- [Vanda] Oh, that's harsh.
I felt a bit sideswiped.
- Yeah. - By the whole Loryn thing
'cause I didn't pick her.
- She was so nice.
And that's what made her perfect, you know.
- I hadn't noticed Loryn being "The Traitor."
So, I know I've got a huge target on my back.
(gentle music)
- [All] Hello.
(speaking foreign language)
- [Mike] Night one and a traitor is gone.
That's an incredible feeling.
You good?
You've never actually felt so grateful to be alive.
Well, no. And you were just so genuine last night as well.
I mean, you were put in an awkward position
and you were, you did it for the team.
What a good faithful, eh? - Yeah.
- I think I've got to a place
where I'm trusted within the group,
which is really comforting.
Yeah. Yeah. Rather than.
I think it's quite clear that I'm a faithful.
I just need to stay alive.
- [Vanda] I think.
- Yeah. - Oh my God.
(group cheers)
- [Brooke] Look, how early we are. Fam, oh my gosh.
- Everyone is just super proud of themselves.
That boom one off the bat we got, we got one of you.
- Imagine you're planning this really slick game
and you think you've got us.
And then we go
and find a traitor on the very first round table.
- [Dan] It is now super important that we as "The Traitors",
show the authority that we have on this game.
And that needs to be respected.
(dramatic music)
- [Sam] Oh.
(group cheers)
- [Kings] Nice dress.
- Welcome guys. How are you?
- Great, I had a fantastic night's sleep.
- [Mike] Oh, nice.
- Waking up is a surprise.
(group laughs)
- I'm just gonna ask you, I gonna throw something out there.
The two people's names were up on the block
last night, basically, right?
It was gonna be
- Loryn. - Loryn or Robbie, right?
- Why did Loryn vote for Dylan?
Why did she not vote Robbie?
And that makes no sense at all. Is Dylan a traitor?
And Dylan and Loryn have had a falling out
and therefore they're kind of like voting for each other.
- Like I can't think of a better like vote of confidence
for me as a faithful than having the only traitor
we've identified point at me. - Yeah.
- This is a humdinger of a game.
- [Vanda] Yeah.
- Isn't it wild?
(group cheers)
- [Dylan] My God. You've done it again.
- [Julia] I thought I was gone. I was like "That's it."
- Was that the longest wait? - That was the longest wait.
- To me, breakfast is always fun.
- [Brooke] Congratulations, another day alive.
- I just eyeball everyone.
Treat everyone like they're the bad eggs.
- I'm shocked. - Why?
- Yeah. A few people suspect me
because I'm more irreverent in this competition,
more wild, more of a carefree spirit.
And that in itself can be intimidating to certain people.
- Colin Mathura-Jeffree makes me so nervous.
- Yeah. He's just the person you shake his hand,
and then you count your fingers.
- So who do we have yet to come?
- [Kings] Matt.
- Brodie. - Brodie.
- [Kings] Fili and Chris.
- God. Oh my God, the stress.
- It would be the greatest game ever
if Matt really is still a traitor.
- I call him the bumbling professor.
Like if he's a traitor, it would blow my mind.
- One thing I've learned is that Matt and I
have really different strategies within the game.
He's very chill. He's very just out there in his own world.
Which I guess in this game, that's something
that I would watch out for.
- Matt Heath and I pack very similar pyjamas
and agreed to wear them to breakfast, no matter what.
Today we're gonna see how trustworthy Matt Heath is.
- [Kings] Yeah.
(Dan laughs)
(group cheers)
- Matt passed with flying colours.
- [Matt] That's right.
- [Brooke] That was a really big loyalty test for me.
I was like, how reliable is this Heath guy?
I feel like I'm on the inside of Mattsville,
population two.
I trust that guy to the end of the earth.
If it's Matt, he's a genius.
- Mint.
- What I wanna know is if there were traitors
that voted for Loryn last night.
- [Group] Yeah.
(group chatters)
- [Mike] Who didn't vote for Loryn?
- I didn't vote for Loryn.
- Chris. - You went out on
your own last night.
- Yes. Yeah, that's, that's why I feel above the paraben.
- Yeah.
Yeah, there's no doubt that the people that voted
for someone other than Loryn last night,
they've got big targets on their back.
Why did Vanda vote Chris instead of Loryn?
And my guess is that Vanda may be a traitor
and didn't want to double cross Loryn.
- Hands up, who thinks Fili's coming through the door?
- I feel pretty confident about Fili
coming to breakfast this morning.
We have like a cool relationship
and I actually think he's faithful.
- I reckon Chris. Chris was vocal last night.
She's gonna go.
- I'd be really surprised if Chris isn't
through that door. She's a strong player.
But maybe that makes her a perfect target for a traitor.
* Run and don't make a sound *
- [Colin] Who's here?
* Scream and they'll help me though. *
- [Colin] And who's not?
* I'm fallin' *
- You dunno which way it's going.
* Scream and don't make a sound *
* Don't make a * * Don't make a sound *
* Don't make a sound *
(group cheers)
(dramatic music)
(group chattering)
- One of the people in the group
is gonna be murdered.
- [Vanda] People come back in.
- [Sam] And we're not sure whether we're going to see
Fili or Chris.
(dramatic music)
(group cheers)
- [Kings] Oh man, it's Chris.
- [Anna] Hello darling.
- I'm so glad. - Oh, it's Chris.
(dramatic music)
(flame crackles)
- While we're not under suspicion,
I think we kill a sacred little lamb,
so no one feels safe.
What about
Chris?
Playing the game.
Asks a lot of questions.
- People were listening when she was speaking.
- Yeah, yeah.
It's gotta be Chris.
The ramifications (laughs).
(dramatic music)
* It happened so fast *
* The darkness rolled in *
* It happened so fast *
* The end of your dreams *
- Dear Christen, you have hereby been murdered.
Yous faithfully, "The Traitors."
I knew I was gonna be a threat
because of how vocal I've been.
So just didn't think it'd be this early.
* Catastrophe is coming *
* Down on us *
- [Group] Oh.
- The first round table,
a resounding success for the faithfuls.
Hip hip hurrah.
(group cheers)
- But "The Traitors" wasted no time dispatching
their revenge.
Oh dear. Oh dear.
Oh dear. Oh dear.
Christen,
no longer with us.
She will be missed by us all.
But onwards and upwards I say.
I have organised a joyous mission
so you can build up the prize fund even further.
This one is particularly dear to my heart
because it's all about me.
See you shortly.
(group applauds)
- [Dan] Holy hell in a hand basket.
- [Anna] No, I can't believe she's gone.
- [Colin] She was intelligent and sharp.
Clearly, "The Traitors" knew
she was a powerhouse to take out.
- That just the kind of thing I'd pull though.
This is just the kind of thing to just to throw us.
- [Dan] I mean, the main idea of murdering Chris is to kind
of cause a bit of confusion
and just to make the faithful a bit more wary
that anybody can go
because they won't really be able
to find a reason why Chris was murdered.
- A revenge act.
- That's valid though.
Was she throwing shade at anybody?
- Yeah.
- Everyone will waste a lot of their time.
Spend their day thinking about why that happened.
- Well, well, well. - Well.
- Hopefully we can use up
some of their energy in that space.
- I'm surprised it was Chris.
- This situation puts us on a hyper stress level.
- I feel like I trust everyone,
but the fact is I know some of them are lying to me.
- It was interesting seeing
who put other people's names down instead of Loryn's
'cause there was only a few.
Colin, Vanda and Matt.
Someone called him the bumbling professor.
- What about the whole fact that Vanda voted
for Chris and now she's gone?
Is that? - Yeah.
- Like how do you feel about that?
Is that too obvious or is that?
- That's interesting.
- [Kings] Yeah.
- Even though I tease her, I don't trust her.
- You really can trust no one.
- [Mike] I think Colin and Vanda are both traitors.
- Oh, do you?
- I think the mix was sweet innocent..
- Yeah - Loryn,
- Crazy, outlandish Colin. - Evil.
- [Mike] He just has an ability to mask any conversation
by being humorous.
I think he's definitely a traitor.
- I'll go to the beat of my own drum.
- [Brodie] He is being entirely himself,
so he can't throw you off the scent.
I don't trust Colin,
because Colin has this fantastic personality
that is never off.
- I have no IQ (laughs).
I know.
- Jury's out with a guy that I've known for a long time.
(dramatic music)
- [Paul] The players are off on their third mission
with the goal of raising as much money as possible
for the final prize fund.
But will they be able to put aside their suspicions
and focus on the job at hand?
- [Fili] Well, I'm still leaning towards
Julia for some reason.
- What about Vanda? - Vanda?
- Dark horse. Dark Horse.
- [Dylan] I have a grand unified theory.
Okay, so after the round table last night,
Loryn's like, "I'm a traitor."
And everyone's like, "Woo," except Mike.
- Right. - Really?
- Mike is slumped in his chair looking dejected.
- I am a traitor.
(group cheers)
- He'd voted for Loryn, but it looked to me like
maybe he felt like he betrayed a friend.
Barring anything else that happens today.
Mike is the name that's top of mind for me.
(dramatic music)
- [Paul] Our players are heading off on another mission.
This is a chance for traitors and faithful
to work together in order to win money,
which will be added to the final prize fund.
And with only $10,000 to show for their efforts so far,
playing nicely has never been so vital.
- [Brodie] What are those things up on the top of the hill?
- Oh. - Oh.
- Welcome to today's mission players.
Today is my birthday.
(group gasps)
I know, I know, I know.
- Happy birthday.
(group cheers and applauds)
- I am throwing a small garden party in my own honour.
And this is where you will come in.
I will need you to divide yourself into two teams.
One of seven, one of eight.
- Right down the middle. - Straight down the middle.
Look at that. Look at that.
- [Mike] That's not overthinking.
- Right, you lot are the entertainment.
- Yay. - Yes.
- You need to head
to the campanologist area over there
where you will find three sets of sheet music
and the dinkiest set of hand bells you ever did see.
(group laughs)
The rest of you are my guests.
You will need to identify the song
that the other team are playing with said bells
and match the song to one of the three
music boxes in front of you.
- Ah.
- Inside the matching music box
is an abstract photo
of a full-size sculpture in the sculpture garden.
Find the correct sculpture, take a photo of it,
then return it to me.
From the moment the bell has rung,
you'll have just seven minutes to deliver the photo to me.
Each correctly identified sculpture adds
$1,500 to your prize fund.
If you get all three,
$4,500 will be added to the prize fund.
It's my birthday and this is gonna be my best birthday yet.
(group cheers and applauds)
- Bravo. - Yay.
- Off you go.
- I'm pumping. I love music.
It's been a big part of my life.
I'm a singer and my name's Sam Smith.
I believe if you Google my name,
I've won four Grammys and an Oscar.
So this is my wheelhouse.
This is the kind of mission that I can really show my worth.
We'll play these. I'll say the number
and then we'll do them.
So three.
(bells ringing)
Five, twelve.
(bells ringing)
Eight, twelve, ten, eight.
(bells ringing)
Five, three.
(bells ringing)
- "Amazing Grace."
(bells ringing)
- [Sam] Five, three.
- [Justine] It's "Amazing Grace."
(group hums "Amazing Grace")
- "Amazing Grace." - Yeah, "Amazing Grace."
- Listen, should I lift this one first?
(music box tinkling)
- [Group] No.
(music box tinkling)
- [Group] No.
(music box tinkling)
- Yeah, this is one. - Okay, let's see.
Everyone have a good look at the picture.
- Okay, we're seeing a... - Swing, child on a swing.
- Twelve, Ten. They're outta here.
- [Brooke] That's good's. That's it. We did it.
You go guys. You go.
- [Fili] Let's go.
- [Dylan] And split up.
- [Mike] Who's going left and who's going, right?
- Yeah. I'll go that way.
- I was an athlete when I was 16 and 17 years old.
I'm 50 now. I'm just terrified of running and collapsing.
- Okay guys. - Shit, this is maze.
- Here it is. We found it. - We found it.
- We found it. - They found it.
- Go team. - I've got it.
- [Kings] Oh, you got one?
- [Dylan] This way. This way.
We're gotta go back.
- [Colin] You're already out.
- Time's ticking, come along.
- Happy birthday Paul.
- Thank you Fili. Let me have a look.
Hmm, are you confident?
- [Fili] We are.
- You're no photographer, but that's correct.
(group cheers)
- You got it guys.
- Good job. - Good job.
- Congratulations. That is $1,500 on the prize fund.
- Yes. Nice.
Good on you guys. That was amazing.
- When you're on a mission and you're just
sort of working as a team,
you forget entirely that you're a traitor.
For once we're all in this together, you know.
Okay, you ready? Everyone feeling confident?
- Hell yeah.
- Yes. Captain. - Yes. Mr. Heath.
- Five.
(bell rings)
Eight, ten.
(bell rings)
Twelve.
(bell rings)
- [Robbie] "Greensleeves."
- [Matt] Seven.
(bells ring)
Three, five.
Seven.
- (hums) That's "Greensleeves."
- That's "Greensleeves." - That's "Greensleeves."
- [Dylan] That's the middle one, I think.
- Middle one. - Listen to it, pop it up.
- This - What it is?
- Wait, wait, wait.. - Is that the right?
We're looking for a boar, boar, boar, boar.
- They got it.
- [Anna] Go get the same way she did before.
- Yeah - Brilliant.
- I am more of a, I guess, physical being.
- [Fili] Just in case anybody.
- Sometimes I get a bit like "I'll go"
and then it's like, "Nah, calm down mate."
But also you have to remind yourself you're only as good
as your weakest person.
Colin.
- [Colin] I'm here.
- [Fili] Hey, these small sculptures here too.
So keep your eyes peeled.
- [Brodie] Found it.
- They found it. - Found it?
- You got it Brodie?
- [Brodie] Yeah, I got it.
- The garden had pathways that just went round in circles
and we're getting lost.
We were running into dead ends.
- Should we go about the way we came out?
- [Fili] Shouting at each other.
- [Brodie] Coming back.
- It was the shambles.
- [Dylan] She go the other way?
- And then there was just me sitting on my own
on my birthday on a wicker chair.
- [Anna] How the fuck do we get out?
- [Brodie] This way.
- Where it says this way. - This way.
- [Colin] Go Brodie.
- [Paul] You all look exhausted.
(group cheers)
- I'll sweat for you any day Paul.
- That is a charming offer Brodie.
Let me have a look.
How confident are you?
- [Brodie] Bet my life on it.
- That is correct.
(group cheers)
- [Paul] That's another $1,500
you've added to the prize fund.
- Woo.
- Hey Danny, you're up mate. - Let's go Daniel Sing.
- To add a little bit of extra jeopardy,
the observant among you will notice
I've added an extra music box.
Good luck.
- Ready?
Seven.
(bell rings)
Seven.
(bells ringing)
Three, three, eight.
(bell rings)
Seven, three, five.
(bells ringing)
Five, seven, seven.
(bell rings)
Five, five.
(bells ring)
Seven.
(Brodie and Mike hum song)
(group hums song)
- They got it. - Okay great.
- We've done that one.
- Last one. - Last one.
- Okay, let's go.
(music box tinkles)
- Yes.
(music box tinkles)
- Yes, that's it. - A picture.
- A cherub. - In the front.
- I think I know where that is.
- Cupid looking guy.
- I saw an astro, I think. - Cherub, okay.
(dramatic music)
- [Anna] Guys, Paul likes to be tricky
I reckon we double check it 'cause
there's a lot of cherubs in there.
There's quite a few.
And none of us had looked at it properly
'cause we've gotten too big for our boots
and that is a mistake to make
in this game.
Okay, let's look, pretty detailed.
- So she's looking over her left shoulder.
- It's her right shoulder - Right shoulder.
- With her arm up, the right arm up.
- [Brodie] Okay. Right shoulder, arm up.
Right shoulder, arm up.
- [Anna] Let's take him from behind.
- [Kings] We like great. Right arm up?
- No. - No.
- [Anna] There were many cherubs.
There's so many.
We look at arm position,
the back of the hair on this cherub
and we all start taking pictures of it.
I'm like, "Come on guys. We only need one photo."
- [Kings] There's one here.
- [Fili] Looks like it could be it.
How's this?
- [Anna] Yeah, that's, it looks like it.
- [Kings] Okay, so it's kinda like a shoulder tree.
- I reckon this one. It was a girl wasn't it?
- But it had that same grape-like hair.
- [Kings] So you got a photo?
- I've got a photo of that. - Of this? Okay.
We'll save all our photos. Save our photos.
- Brodie. - Coming.
- [Kings] Team, we've got it.
Thank you.
(dramatic music)
- Where are you?
- [Anna] Meet at the branch.
- [Brodie] Okay.
How the fuck do I get there?
- Not that way.
- [Brodie] Yeah.
- What? Fuck.
- Go. - This way.
- [Brodie] Oh, this is a long way.
- [Dylan] Well, it's the only way we got.
- Where's Brodie?
(dramatic music)
- There she is, yay.
(group cheers)
- [Anna] A couple of them we've got to compare.
- [Fili] Now sprint 'cause we're late.
(group cheers and applauds)
(dramatic music)
- [Paul] Time is running out. Just a few moments left.
Anna, thank you.
Did you take this photograph?
- Yes I did.
This was always going to be the tricky one.
(dramatic music)
Congratulations.
(group cheers)
(bells ringing)
- I'm over the moon 'cause I feel like that mission
was really on our side of the team's shoulders.
(group cheers)
- [Colin] Great run guys.
- I'm so ecstatic that we nailed that.
- Enough self congratulations.
Although that was nice work team adding another
$4,500
giving you a grand total
of $14,500
so far.
Bittersweet though, isn't it?
Because I will be seeing you at the round table
where another of you is set to be banished from the game
for good.
Sayonara sweet peas.
- Woo. - Goodbye.
(group cheers)
- All right.
- Seeing us come together, work for a common cause
and increase the money, that's so awesome.
And then you come back down to earth
with like, now we've gotta eliminate someone.
This is just an absolute nightmare.
(dramatic music)
- [Brooke] Who are the people you trust the most
in the game at the moment?
- Who do I trust?
I definitely trust you because I knew that you would be
very, very different if you were a traitor,
even though you thought you'd be exactly the same
and really good at it.
- [Fili] You guys have played cricket together, right?
- And I hate.. - We would just
spend so much time together.
Like it'll be the one thing I think
that would reduce your level of chat.
- Yeah.
- is if you were nominated as a traitor.
- Yes, you're right.
- My main strategy for this game is
to be slightly under the radar.
You know, I'm an actor. I'm used to playing roles,
pretending, taking on personas.
And I think at this point in the game,
no one really suspects me.
- That's the one thing I've said is
that I think I could tell if you were a traitor, Dan.
Dan and I have known each other for, you know,
over 20 years.
Brilliant poker player and he has this incredible ability
to detach himself from the emotion of the game.
I know him well enough to know when he's hiding something.
And that this morning, he just did not seem comfortable.
Imagine you're planning this really slick game
and you think you've got us.
And then we go
and find a traitor on the very first round table.
He seems a little bit on edge,
avoiding conversations, avoiding eye contact.
Perhaps he had a late night.
(dramatic music)
I think Dan Sing is a traitor.
(dramatic music)
(dramatic music)
- I'm 80% sure that Dan is a traitor now.
And that could be crazy for me.
(group chatters)
- [Colin] Do you know what else we've got to do?
Is we've gotta mix up the cars.
- [Brooke] So we should mix up the cars.
- Yeah.
- We can't just stick with our buddies and then
and get caught in a warp.
Because you two are often seen together
and you don't want.
- Dan and I? - Yeah, you two.
You know you're an intelligent man.
You don't want these guys to look at you two just going,
"Look at those two. They're always together."
- That's right.
At some point in time, I've kind to either banish him
or he has to murder me.
The problem is Dan is a very light and popular person.
Anyone that thinks that because we are friends
that we're gonna take it easier.
- Work together, Yeah - On each other.
- [Anna] It's worse. Isn't it?
- Yeah, I would suspect that you would never
let me live it down it you knocked me out.
You'd love it forever.
I reckon I could convince like four to banish him.
I just can't convince ten people to vote for Dan.
So my next step is to find out
who the other traitor could be.
- To be honest with you, I did feel like I was
in a car with two traitors.
- Oh? Who are they?
- Matt and Vanda.
- We've got..
- I'm just going from group to group trying
to figure out if we've got any tips or clues.
- You had Vanda as well on you?
- Yeah, Vanda and Robbie.
- Yeah.
- Vanda's name is coming up a lot.
But every now and then someone will mention Mike.
- One of them was in your car.
- Say again?
- One of them was in your car.
- One of whats?
- The main people's name that's going around today.
- Oh really. Who?
- Mike.
- I know Mike Puru very well.
He clearly, clearly is a genuine guy.
He doesn't have a dishonest bone in his body.
Why?
- Not my one either,
but it's out there.
- The faithful are pack animals.
They get their pitchforks out. They light their torches
and they destroy anyone
who has shown even 30 seconds of silence.
I wouldn't,
I have never thought that.
And I've just been in the car with him the whole day
and we were mainly talking about traffic.
- I think people are gonna vote for Mike
and I don't wanna do that.
But if I go against the grain, then am I a target?
Have you heard any others?
- There's a lot of,
you know, Vanda
defending
her move.
- Oh right. - Yep.
- The two people whose names have been presented to me,
- [Dan] The noisiest guy in the room.
- Can you think how I felt?
- I don't have full belief in
and I'm panicking.
(dramatic music)
(dramatic music continues)
- Deciding who to vote for is hard.
Do I follow my gut?
Do I listen to my friends?
It destabilises you.
(dramatic music)
- [Colin] A whisper here, a whisper there.
Do they like me?
Do I like them?
That's what makes it terrifying.
- It's time for another banishment,
on my birthday as well.
Brutal.
Today at my lavish garden party
you made $4,500,
which means the prize pool currently stands
at $14,500.
"The Traitors" lost one of their own last night.
Thanks to you.
They hit back immediately.
Can lightning strike twice?
This is your chance to banish another traitor
for good.
Who would like to begin tonight's round table discussion?
- Well, it's interesting how last night
we all sort of came in here with a name.
To try and do that again tonight
I think it's gonna be difficult.
- Numerically the odds are stacked against us.
- Our biggest clues come from last night's round table.
13 of us voted for Loryn.
Four people didn't. - Right.
- Three of whom are still here.
- Who didn't vote, yeah? - Okay.
- Myself.
- I didn't vote for her.
(group chatters)
- No.
- Can you all explain why you missed the boat
or why you didn't vote for Loryn?
- I didn't hear Loryn be brought up much.
And then Loryn talked to me
for the first time for a long time.
And so the whole thing,
everyone was saying she was so quiet.
She was not quiet.
I feel like I've overshot the mark in how I've been behaving
and I'm not great at right down the barrel lying.
I'm in trouble here.
- I have felt totally sideswiped by the Loryn thing.
Coming into the round table
she wasn't on my radar, whatsoever.
I was kind of fixated on Chris
and I didn't read the room very well.
- So what about Colin?
You were big on Vanda yesterday.
- Vanda, I picked Vanda obviously because just watching
your nerves.
And that you have a skill set to be a traitor.
- [Fili] It's kind of like the same 'cause,
you know, I've spoken to you.
- [Vanda] Yes.
- And I don't know you too well.
Sometimes you seem a little bit nervous
when it's almost like...
- Who said I'm nervous?
- I know, of course, yeah.
- But this is huge.
- So, Vanda, what would you say to convince us,
'cause your name has come up, that you're not a traitor?
- Well, I'd say straight out, I'm a faithful.
I wear my heart on my sleeve a bit
and I sure as hell don't have a poker face.
And I'm beginning to think
that I've got totally shit judgement
on reading people, as well, around the room.
Look, I'm faithful through and through and through.
- Can I just say?
There was a deliberate pile on, on Robbie.
And I feel like there's a deliberate pile on, on Vanda.
Started by you actually, Colin.
It's very convenient that Vanda votes for Chris
and then Chris gets murdered.
Hypothetically, if you're Vanda,
are you that stupid to murder Chris that night?
(dramatic music)
- I've got a question.
Loryn and I were both probably up for elimination yesterday,
but she chose not to pick me,
which I would've thought I was an obvious choice.
And instead she picked you, Dylan,
I'm just asking if you had any clue as to why
she went down your road?
- There was no reason she would've written a traitor's name
on the board in that scenario.
So I'm wearing it,
as a badge of,
you know, faithfulness.
- It's just such a strange move for her, right.
You can see why it's weird. - I agree.
- Yeah, yeah.
- Yeah.
- [Justine] It's clear to me that maybe a traitor
did also vote for Loryn.
So,
she might've been trying to get back at another traitor.
- After we eliminated Loryn, we did this, "Woo."
And then we were still like pretty excited.
And I looked over there and Mike was like this.
(Mike laughs)
- And everyone else was still up, was still in.
- Is that right, Mike?
- Oh look, I can't recall how my reaction was afterwards.
- But are are you a traitor, Mike?
- No, I'm definitely not a traitor.
- The only person I noticed in that moment who wasn't
radiating positivity was Mike.
- Well.. - And that's, literally by..
- Good on you for observing that as well.
I mean that's gonna help, isn't it?
But don't read anything into it.
- [Dylan] No, and I'm gonna say that..
- I think Loryn was sitting next to me.
Maybe I, you know, and I felt bad that I...
- [Dylan] And you written her name.
- voted for her. - And she's right next to you.
- [Mike] Yeah, and you know.
- I love you dearly, mate.
You would make such a great traitor
'cause you just have been sitting in the
background the whole time.
- Can I just say, having been with Mike on the way
to the missions.
Mike did say that
sitting next to Loryn was hard.
(dramatic music)
- I feel like a lot of people are aiming at you, Vanda.
There was an out for you there
because people were starting to focus on Mike.
You literally just came to defend him.
I'm almost definitely sure you're a faithful now.
Oh man, this is hard.
- [Brodie] I agree with you.
- [Anna] Very good point, that's so good point.
- Vanda.
Yeah.
I think you're faithful.
- Come on. - Oh, that's a lot from.
- Hey, hey. - Hey, hey.
- No, no, I'm allowed. Listen, I'm allowed.
- You have hung her out to dry for two days.
- Hey, wait.
- Just wait. Yeah, can everyone just like,
just wait a second as well?
(dramatic music)
- Vanda?
Yeah.
I think you're faithful.
- Come on. No, come on. - Oh that's a lot from...
- Hey, hey, hey. - Hey, hey, hey.
- No, no, I'm allowed.
Listen, I'm allowed.
I'm allowed to see someone in real time
have a real breakthrough.
- Okay, all right.
- And I, you know, I think you're faithful.
And I'm allowed to say that.
- Sorry, I know. - You know.
- I just was angry because you've picked on her.
- And I won't be put in my place to say I'm not authentic.
- I apologise. It's big day. Big day.
- [Anna] It's nice. Yeah, it's a big day.
- [Paul] The time for chitchat is over.
I need you all to write one name down.
Who do you think is a traitor?
(dramatic music)
(dramatic music continues)
- [Paul] Everyone has locked in their answer.
Brooke, please show us who you voted for and why.
- I'm taking your word that that's what you saw.
You introduced me to my wife
so this could go really south,
really fast buddy, if we're wrong.
I'm not invited to any more parties.
I'm so sorry buddy.
- [Paul] Sam.
- Sorry Mike,
it's you as well.
I'm sorry.
- That's fine.
- [Paul] Fili.
- I have no idea what was going on.
So I think I am gonna mix it up a bit.
- [Matt] Oh (laughs).
(Mike sighs)
- So tonight I choose you Julia, sorry.
- [Paul] Kings.
- Kind of like my friend here.
I got a itch last second
to change it to Julia.
- She is cadence.
- [Paul] That's two votes for Mike
and two votes for Julia.
Vanda, who have you voted for and why?
- Colin.
I can't read you.
I find that really difficult
and that is why I've chosen you.
- [Paul] Mike.
- I voted for Colin because
he's a master at putting people off.
I think you're a traitor. Sorry mate.
- No, don't be sorry.
- [Paul] Two votes for Mike,
two for Julia,
two for Colin.
Colin.
- So I did have you in my sight and the winds changed.
Mike,
I chose you.
- Fair enough.
- [Paul] Julia.
- I'm so sorry, Mike.
- Oh, okay.
- [Julia] I had to vote for you.
- It's okay. - I'm really sorry.
- [Paul] Justine.
- I also made a real point yesterday
straight after the eviction of looking around the room.
And Mike, I'm so sorry, you did act kind of weird.
And boy oh, flippin' boy, do I hope we're right.
- [Paul] Robbie.
- Ah, well I obviously didn't get CC'd into the memo.
Everyone that's gone has been a female.
So I figure one of "The Traitors" has to be a male.
And Dylan, I'm really sorry, but
the only reason I'm saying you is
because of
Loryn's choice.
- [Paul] Dan.
- I was also gonna vote for Vanda coming in,
but I have voted for you Dylan.
One thing that was not answered was why did she
decide to put her name on?
I didn't think there was anything wrong
with how he responded to that,
but what did kind of sit with me is
that you were really quick to then deflect it onto Mike.
- [Paul] So that's now five votes for Mike,
two for Julia,
two for Colin,
and two for Dylan.
Matt.
(group laughs)
- Everyone laughed at my vote yesterday
for some reason, but I was for, I thought I cannot read you.
You were still the Colin today that you were yesterday
and no other piece of evidence jumped up.
So you know. - Yeah.
- [Paul] Dylan.
- The fact this person is such a nice person
is what would make them an excellent traitor.
I have written Mike's name.
(whispers) Sorry.
- [Paul] Anna, who have you voted for and why?
- You are the first person I trusted Mike,
but now my mind has changed.
I'm sorry buddy.
- [Paul] Brodie.
- [Brodie] You're gonna hate me.
I trusted you too and I think that you're amazing.
I probably might not forgive myself
because you're a good friend of mine
and I've known you for years (sighs).
- [Paul] The votes have been cast.
Mike, with the largest number of votes,
you have been banished from the game.
Please come and join me.
(dramatic music)
- Mike, before you leave the game forever.
Please reveal whether you are a faithful or a traitor.
- Well, before I leave, I just wanted to say,
this has been an incredible experience.
You guys are playing the game well,
but not that well.
I am a faithful.
- [Group] Oh.
- [Group] No.
- Oh, Mike.
- [Sam] I'm sorry Mike.
- [Paul] You have just banished your first faithful
from the game.
Thank you, Mike. Goodbye.
So a message to the faithful,
maybe last night was a case
of beginner's luck and nothing more.
Traitors will meet again tonight.
How many of you will be at breakfast tomorrow morning?
I suggest you sleep with one eye open.
- I thought it was Mike.
- [Dylan] I was shocked and almost sickened
to see Mike's name come up on so many slates.
- [Brooke] I felt strong.
- This was my big swing and it missed.
- This whole game I've been saying I'm going off my gut.
And I've gone swayed and I'm mad.
Yeah, I'm mad.
- [Brodie] I didn't have a gut feeling about him,
but I still voted for him probably to cover my own ass.
* Into the fire *
* Oh *
* Light it up *
* Tear it down *
* Into the fire *
- What I'm observing is the faithful
are far more evil than us traitors.
* Light it up *
* Tear it down *
* Into the fire *
- They'll just kill someone as good and honest and real
as Mike Peru like that.
I lost all feelings of remorse for the faithful.
(dramatic music)
(flame crackles)
(dramatic music continues)
- Oh, that went well. - That went well.
- That went well. Yeah.
- Oh my gosh.
- So the Chris murder played out.
- Perfect for us.
And now there is just total confusion.
- And there's two new targets.
- Two key targets. - Julia and Dylan.
- [Dan] Yeah.
It could not have gone better.
The best part about being a traitor is the power.
The power to see all and the power to murder.
- The question is, do we need another traitor?
- If we seduce today, it'll create a new level of chaos
after everyone's just been deflated.
Especially the people that wrote Mike on the chalkboard.
- I think we seduce. What do you think?
- Yeah They have to have the influence,
but they also have to have the trust.
- Kings.
- [Dan] Undetected.
No one would think that he's on the other side.
No one wants to banish him.
- No one wants to banish him.
- [Dan] Does he have enough influence?
- For me it's between Anna and Brooke.
'Cause I think Anna is
working and talking.
She's in the game.
- But is she influencing or is she just facilitating?
Whereas I think Brooke is currently the loud voice
in the room that everyone seems to buy into.
He will be able to feed misinformation through.
- Yes. - For us.
- Brooke will make a great traitor
because one, a lot of people are a 100% sure
that he is faithful.
As someone I know really well and that I trust,
he and I could pull strings together.
He has the talents and skills to play exactly the same way
with the cape on.
- Brooke?
Yeah, it has to be the smartest play.
- Brooke.
Brooke has the power to influence large numbers of people.
That's a threat to us.
It's also a massive advantage to us if he is on our side.
He's the perfect person to become our third traitor.
The game is afoot, my friend (laughs).
(flame crackles)
(dramatic music continues)
- Oh, holy hell.
Ah.
"The Traitors" would like to offer you the opportunity
to join them.
You now have the choice whether to become a traitor
or remain a faithful.
- Now we wait.
- [Paul] Next time.
Could this be an offer?
- I know that he really wanted to be a traitor.
- [Paul] Too risky to refuse.
- If I say no, it would piss "The Traitors" off so bad.
See you later, guys.
- [Paul] And just who will survive?
- I did not say that.
- I'm not making this up.
- Fili.
- [Paul] When the predator...
- He's being overlooked. I am suspicious of that.
- [Paul] becomes the prey.
- There's a lot of people mishearing things you're saying.
- That's actually uncool.
- You guys are going to look really, really fooled.
- I'm in so much trouble.
