Welcome to Quick Draw Mixology. I am here with my favorite person in the

Lavinia Webb slash Lavinia Dunlop. Those of you who've been watching the series

know what I'm saying.

And on Quick Draw Mixology, we introduce drinks from the 1800s that you can

enjoy at home while you watch Quick Draw.

And this drink is for our season ender, our final episode, which is called the

Railroad Spur.

Not going to give too much away. And the drink that you can imbibe while

enjoying that episode is called the whiskey cobbler.

So it sounds like a pie. It does sound like a pie. But it's not. With whiskey.

Yeah. All right. So here, it's very simple.

Fill a tumbler with ice, which you've already done. Yeah. And then add two

glasses, which is about one cup.

They use the wine glass as a measuring device. I'm just going to use it. Which

is interesting.

That's a lot of whiskey, man.

That's a good cobbler. Yeah, it is.

One tablespoon of sugar.

And you know what a tablespoon is. I do.

Okay, that's what it is.

All right, and two to three slices of orange.

Do you think we should do two or do you think we should do three?

Let's do two.

Why wait?

All right, and then fill a tumbler with ice.

Bake well.

You're doing it. You got it. Oh, well.

I don't know, whatever you're doing, it's fantastic.

All right. We like it.

Heck yeah, we like it. Oh, look at that. And it says here, 1862, imbibed through

a straw. So apparently they had straws, or we had straws back then. All right,

let's bring our taste tester, the My Deputy, Eli Brocious.

You're going to enjoy that, I think.

There's whiskey.

Mm -hmm, whiskey.

Something he enjoys.

There is whiskey, you're right.

Is it cold?

Yeah.

Sugar? Yeah.

And then I can see the orange. Yeah. Good. All right. We just got it.

That's a sophisticated palette.

You could work at a perfume shop, too, because you have a nose. Yeah.

Well, I mean, you do, too. Thank you. I mean, you both do.

Yeah, we do. We all three have our olfactory tools.
