in San Francisco, the city where the environmental movement was born.

I never thought I'd be investigating global warming. I've believed it's real

that saving the planet is good.

But now I'm on my way to see a guy named Noel Shepard. He says he has proof some

people are using global warming as an excuse to make money and control the

world.

That's a conspiracy I want to expose.

So what you're telling me is that there's more to this global warming than

our media and what our government and everything is telling us. And is it

money making?

Very, very much so. Very much so. But isn't stopping pollution a good idea?

Stopping pollution is a great idea, Governor.

This has nothing to do with pollution.

That's the myth. This is much more about power and money and control of the

population.

Power. Money.

Control.

The global warming movement says our planet is headed to disaster because

factories and cars are heating up the atmosphere with carbon dioxide.

Noel Shepard says it's all a scam.

An industry that feeds off our fears, forcing us to buy billions of dollars

worth of green products, making us lose sleep, worrying about our carbon

footprints.

Everything is so connected to carbon dioxide and the emission of carbon

that... Everything you do is going to go up in price. This is going to control

virtually every industry that you could name. We're talking about energy. We're

talking about transportation.

We're talking about our very way of life is going to be radically changed. And

that's bad. Why? This is considered to be the biggest tax increase on man that

we've ever seen.

And once it's put into the system, we'll never be able to get it back.

Shepard says it's all a polluter's Ponzi scheme.

Politicians say they want to set limits on carbon dioxide emissions.

At the same time, they allow corporations that want to pollute more

trade carbon credits from companies that pollute less.

Permission to pollute if they pay.

This is one of the biggest Ponzi schemes we've ever seen. Basically what that's

going to allow is a company like an oil company.

They can go out, they can spread as much carbon dioxide as they want. And

pollute as much as they want. Pollute as much as they want, but then go out and

buy these credits and just say, oh, we're carbon neutral. The net result is

going to be the greatest control over mankind that we've ever seen.

This whole thing is absurd.

One more thing.

Despite the media blitz, Shepard says hundreds, even thousands of scientists

believe that global warming is not even a problem at all.

I don't believe that you've gotten all the truth. I don't believe America has

gotten all the truth. So I've got a list of scientists that I want you to talk

to. You will learn a lot from these folks. I promise you, you'll think much

differently about this after you speak to them.

People are going to become very, very wealthy pushing this concept of global

warming down the throats of the whole country and, for that matter, the world,

and that it truly is going to be used to make money, not necessarily clean up

And, I mean, it took me back because I was a believer. I am a believer in

warming. But he gave me this sheet of paper with these three names on it. And

says, if you don't believe me, he said, talk to these three.

So I think this is something we ought to check out.

There definitely is climate change going on. No, that's not true. I've read a

lot of stuff about this.

June, I've read a lot of this stuff. No, no, no. The climate change is so

complicated. There's so many factors into it. And as a matter of fact, people

think the Earth is cooling in the last, I think, like eight, ten years. The

climate, the weather is changing. Wait, I got the answer. And in the way that's

causing problems.

Can we look at the polar bears?

Okay, there's the list. Here it is with these three people.

Go out and prove it wrong.

Prove it wrong.

Who are these people? It's a question that I ask myself and my family in our

What's their point? Why are they trying to destroy me? All I'm trying to do is

get the truth out there and get some evidence out there. And I have to come

the conclusion that I'm threatening their power. I'm threatening their

and their money.

So that means there's a powerful force out there silencing people, clearly.

But what about Al Gore? I mean, he's been the face and the voice of global

warming this whole time. Do you think he's in on this scam? I don't know. I

mean, Al Gore's a friend of mine. I hate to say that he would be or wouldn't,

but I can tell you this, he's no more of a scientist than I am.

And I think that, you know, if he's got tunnel vision on this and he's making a

ton of money off it, apparently, who knows?

Well, we actually have found a company called Hurrah that is basically poised

be the Microsoft of carbon emission.

It's like a kind of carbon monitoring software that every company is going to

have to get. And Al Gore is a patron for the company.

But they won't talk to you. They won't talk to me? Why not?

Well, because they know you're going to ask them the hard questions.

I got an idea, people.

Now, what he says is that Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth is full of errors.

Martin, what exactly is wrong with the film Inconvenient Truth?

There are two major errors in Mr. Gore's film. The first is that carbon dioxide

is changing the climate.

The second is, if the world is warming, as the world occasionally does, will

there be lots of catastrophic events?

And the evidence is that there will not be lots of catastrophic events. The

science didn't stack up. Are you calling Al Gore a liar? Because I know the guy

and he seems pretty sincere to me.

Mr. Gore does seem to be very sincere, but then he's a politician.

Clearly global warming is a...

Money is the root of all evil. Follow the money.

That's the way to think about it. So do you want to tell me a bit about Hara and

what you do, the technology you own? What we decided to do was build a

to help companies manage energy, water, and weight.

And secondly, help a lot of companies think about their way to contribute to

climate change without adversely risking the profit -making of the organization.

You're still quite small as a company now.

And so what is the plan, as it were?

Well, I mean, the carbon market is expected to be in the United States a

trillion dollars by 2015.

And so the technology that we're delivering plays as little as 10 % to as

as half of that number.

The CEO has admitted that his company is in line to rake in billions from global

warming.

Jesse Ventura listens from the next room.

He hears the businessman deny profiting from cap and trade laws, government

permission to pay and pollute.

Well, we don't directly benefit from cap and trade. The big driver for us is

actually showing cost savings through energy efficiency plays.

Now the CEO is parsing words.

What's next?

Denying a connection to Al Gore?

One of the things that sort of come up in the research that we were doing on

guys is that if Al Gore is somehow connected with your company and then is

a big advocate for global warming, that it isn't in any way a sort of conflict

of interest.

You'd actually have to ask him, but we don't have any direct relationship with

Al Gore.

No direct relationship with Al Gore?

Let him tell that to me.

This is Governor Ventura.

I'm a chatterer. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. And we've been talking

about Harar and all they do.

If this cap and trade goes through, they're telling me that Al Gore could

profits in the billions of dollars. That's how wealthy he'll become. Is that

When people lobby to get the government to pass a particular law, generally the

people lobbying for it are doing that because they're going to benefit

financially from it.

This is no different, right?

The CEO is dodging the questions, but Jesse Ventura is not about to let him

the hook.

I don't think that you're getting in trouble. I thought that it's the normal

thing that happens.

Let me give you an example, the Iraq war. Wait, let me give you the Iraq war.

All I can defend is what my company does. I can't speak for anybody else.

They're huge profiteers. They've made huge amounts of money. And that happens

whenever the government goes to, quote, war.

And if this is a war on the environment, well, there are going to be profiteers

from it.

I don't know if I would qualify that we've ever gone to war for making money.

I wouldn't feel comfortable with that line of questioning.

If this is a war, I don't think that's either the purpose either.

He was trying to protect his people.

Yeah, maybe they never met at the company picnic, but Al Gore owns a piece

his business.

He makes sure they make payroll.

Al Gore's making lots of money on global warming, and that's the problem. He's

not hiding. He's upfront about it.

He won an Oscar and a Nobel Peace Prize.

But is he out to control the world?

I know Al Gore. I don't think he's out to do that.

There's got to be someone else behind this.

Someone who's a lot less public.

Someone behind the scenes, really pulling the strings.

can be traced to one man, and he's not Al Gore.

Let's go to Sir Maurice Strong, a senior official of the UN. He has long been

quite open about his desire to establish a world government, by which he does

not mean a democratic government.

Maurice Strong.

If Al Gore is the front man for global warming, Maurice Strong is the wizard

behind the curtain.

Maury Strong.

Born in Canada, he's worked for decades with the United Nations. And he's gained

a reputation as the world's leading environmentalist.

Nations must accept responsibility for the consequences of their actions on

others, in my view.

Maury Strong was Secretary General of the UN's 1972 Conference on the Human

Environment, the one that launched the Green Movement.

First Director of the UN's Environment Program.

Organizer of the UN's Earth Summit in Rio in 1992.

the one that set the stage for the Kyoto Treaty on controlling greenhouse gas

emissions. We are united as one family on one home in this universe, and

it's called the Earth, and it is the home of all of us, and it can only be

by the cooperation of all of us.

But many say Maury's strong as a wolf in sheep's clothing, that he pretended to

be green so he could get rich and take over the world.

Under the polluter pays principle, those who create the damage should pay for

it. And of course, we in the industrialized countries are creating

And therefore, we need to pay for most of it. You see, Maury Strong is also a

billionaire, an oil billionaire.

He's a director of the Chicago Climate Exchange, which trades and sells carbon

credits, the ones that give permission to pollute.

And he was linked to the United Nations oil for food corruption scandal.

After that, he quit the UN and moved to Beijing, China.

He was one of those who was instrumental in establishing the Intergovernmental

Panel on Climate Change, and the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on

Climate Change has now produced four major assessments of the climate, each

them more blood -curdling than the last, each of them more absurd than the last,

and they've now got things to such a fever pitch that they will, I think, get

agreement on, is that what will become a world government should be established.

Christopher Monckton accuses Maurice Strong of stirring up global warming

hysteria and doing it through deception.

Falsifying data. Falsifying the data. They have been deliberately bending the

data.

And I guess that would lead me to Ben Santer, right, at the UN? That would

you to Ben Santer.

Dr. Benjamin Santer, climate scientist. And according to global warming

skeptics, Maurice Strong's accomplice, they say he altered a crucial UN report

on climate change, deleting opinions that oppose the global warming theory.

In comes Ben Santer and rewrites it for them after the scientists have sent in

their finalized draft.

And that finalized draft said at five different places.

There is no discernible human effect on global temperature.

You've seen a copy of this? I've seen a copy of this. Santa went through,

crossed out all of those, and substituted a new conclusion, and this

the official conclusion ever since.

Now, who is Maurice Strong? A lot of people know him as the godfather of the

environmental movement.

And my dog has mentioned Maurice Strong the whole time as well.

Maury Strong made the statement that the problem for the planet are the

industrialized nations, and isn't it our responsibility to get rid of them?

This guy's been tied to the UN for over 30 years, having different titles within

the UN, but he's also making money off of it. He's made millions.

Well, the one thing I learned in government, if you want to find the

question, follow the money.

Well, a lot of that money leads right to Maury Strong.

All right.

How do we get to Maurice Strong? We've been trying. We can't. There are so many

layers surrounding this man, so many minders. And at the moment, he's in

which makes it even harder.

Well, if we can't talk to this Maurice Strong, then who the hell can we talk

Why do you think there are so many doubters still?

I don't think there are so many doubters still. You will always be able to go

out and find someone who disagrees with conventional wisdom.

June gets to the point. Did he cook the books on global warming, as Christopher

Monckton claims?

There is no proven link between human activity and increases in global

temperature. Five times, in different words, they said the same thing very

plain. Santa went through, crossed out all of those, and substituted a new

conclusion.

Well, Lord Monckton, to my knowledge, was not part of the process.

I was. Our chapter came to the conclusion, a line that's burned on my

memory forever, the balance of evidence suggests the discernible human influence

on global climate.

But did he delete sections of the climate report?

Lord Monckton points to deletions from the chapter, and there were deletions

from the chapter. To be consistent with the other chapters, we dropped the

summary at the end.

Why do you think there are so many conspiracy theorists around this issue?

People love believing a good conspiracy theory.

There's another reason conspiracy theories come up. Because people leave

room for doubt.

Santer doesn't deny deleting information from the UN report.

He just says he's misunderstood.

And that leaves a lot of questions about Maurice Strong.

Rothschild of the Rothschild banking dynasty, and a proposal to create

called a World Conservation Bank.

One of the most important initiatives.

We have as our chairman, fortunately, the person who epitomizes that positive

synthesis between environment conservation on the one hand and

other. And I'm just delighted to have this opportunity of introducing to you

Edmund de Rothschild.

Maury Strong was in charge of the conservation movement, but he was also

Edmund de Rothschild's right -hand man.

You have money and the environment in one person, Edmund de Rothschild.

Now, Maury Strong, I found out during that conference, was the point man, the

one that was making the decisions.

And their aims are what?

Their aims are to create...

An anxiety about global warming to such a fever pace that they're willing

to accept a bank that will accept the responsibility for cleaning up the

environment. And the bank will not be a friendly bank. So we have the

establishment of a World Conservation Bank that will oppose industry,

supposedly.

But the aristocrats will cash in on the conservation projects. They told us

that it would be great to have one bank because then we'd only have one

currency. So this is really about like an all -world government is what you're

talking about here. It's part of the one world order.

So, Maurice Strong had an agenda from the start.

A world bank.

One currency.

Everything under one house.

So this flies in the face of competition.

This is a monopoly.

Oh, no.

Maurice Strong is here in Beijing, but he's a very hard pit to catch.

He stays well hidden, but his influence is everywhere.

He's been here since 2005 when he quit the UN.

He ran away during a scandal, left New York, and settled here.

That's when it became clear that Strong's a double agent, pretending to

environmentalist. But really, he's been working as an advisor to the Chinese

government and helping them make money off global warming.

He's helping China sell and trade carbon credits.

The man who calls himself Mr. Green was actually planning on flooding the

American market with these cheap polluting cars.
