These guys that had me, they were crazy

They made me believe that they were
going to kill me.

For five weeks, I thought that each day
was going to be my last.

And they liked to play jokes.

See, they staged fake executions. They'd
take you right up to the final

moment.

I was so scared, Lou. I was just so
scared.

I mean, they came into my cell. They
fired a gun to show me that it had real

bullets.

And they put it to my head.

And before I heard the click of the
empty chamber,

Wiped my pants.

I broke.

You know, we all walk around thinking
that we have something called humanity.

Disappears so fast.

Bravery is gone in five minutes.

Dignity is gone in ten. Humanity lasts
