RODGER: Previously on The Traitors, 24 hotel guests...
Hi. Hi, everybody!
..dialled 'M' for 'murder'...
Smell betrayal already.
..when they joined our deadly game of whodunnit.
WOMAN: No-one is trusting anyone. Watch your back.
Four were chosen as the Traitors.
You know, the sneaky ones who killed off a Faithful each night.
Just cannot wait to conspire to murder.
Oh, and the rest were the Faithful,
the ones who had to convince the group
who they think is a Traitor and then banish them.
I have spoken to my spiritual team
on the other side for some advice, so I have chosen you.
At first, they were well off the mark.
I am a Faithful. Faithful.
Faithful.
(CONTESTANTS EXCLAIM) Oh, my God!
But then...
MARK: I just need a Traitor gone.
I'm gonna stick with Angus.
..they started getting it right.
Ah, you guys got me. I'm a Traitor.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
And before long,
there was backstabbing and betrayal amongst the Traitors.
A Traitor has to go. Can I trust you 100%?
I am strongly encouraging Claire's name being thrown around.
I am a Traitor.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Then Alex received a secret invitation.
(MARIELLE READS) "Traitors, your numbers are dwindling."
Welcome to our club.
I am super impressed with Alex. She has done a really good job.
But then she turned on her fellow Traitors.
Sometimes you've just gotta come in and be the new boss.
'Cause I was a Traitor from day one! (CONTESTANTS CHEER)
I am a Traitor.
(CONTESTANTS EXCLAIM)
Then Alex recruited Kate. It's nice to meet you.
Which brings us to our end game.
Two Traitors versus two Faithful.
LEWIS: I want to win like nothing else.
CRAIG: My motivation to win is to bring home that prize.
Playing to win a mind-blowing amount of silver.
My ideal end game is to end up in that room with one Faithful.
Then I take all the money because I'm the last Traitor standing.
It's not too late for the Faithful to work out who's playing who.
I'm fairly certain Alex, and we might as well take the chance.
Or is it?
It's called The Traitors for a reason.
Oh, my God! (LAUGHS)
Oh, my God! Oh, my God! (CHUCKLES NERVOUSLY)
Oh, wow!
Wow!
Oh, my God! Oh, Jesus. That is spectacular.
I can't believe I'm in a helicopter right now.
(KATE LAUGHS)
Final four, guys. Final four. Grand final.
Final four, Grand Challenge. CRAIG: We get to do this.
That's crazy.
It's the grand final. It's our final challenge.
This is our last chance to win silver. Every little bit.
(LAUGHS) Sick.
Honestly, I didn't think I was gonna make the final four.
I'm just chuffed with myself. Like, FIGJAM. (LAUGHS)
There's the home stretch. Home stretch.
I want to win like nothing else.
I'm gonna give a little bit to my parents
just 'cause they're bloody awesome
and, you know, number two item on the list
is definitely a ring for the missus.
Wow!
Welcome. Well, here we go. G'day, mate.
Very nice to meet you. I'm Lewis. Smell betrayal already.
(LAUGHS)
People just look at me as the simple sparky, you know.
From the get-go, I have thrown everything into this game.
(WOMEN EXCLAIM AND CHORTLE)
I didn't come here to bloody play it safe.
I've taken risks.
I'm quite risk-averse and Lewis is not.
Let's go all in on black.
LEWIS AND NIGEL: Black! Yes!
(MEN CHEER)
I have fought tooth and nail.
(GRUNTS TRIUMPHANTLY)
Lewis is the winner...
Yeah! Yes! ..of the Shield Challenge.
This is my game and I'm gonna win.
ALEX: Oh, here we go. Oh, nice.
Yeah! We've done well.
Split it four ways.
This is a huge version of the biggest game there is.
I want to win the biggest game I've ever been in.
I've ticked every box there is in this game so far.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
There is not a chance that I would still be here
had I not been recruited as a Traitor.
I came into this game as a Faithful.
Yes, yes, yes!
I was a Traitor hunter.
But I made really bad choices early on in the game.
Kash. Dirk.
I am a Faithful.
Sorry, guys, I'm a Faithful.
And then everyone started targeting me.
Yeah, Kate, you were at the top of my list.
I think you're a Traitor.
I've gotten through by the skin of my teeth.
I'm surprised I'm still here.
But then I got two Traitors in a row.
Fi said yesterday to me, "If I'm not at breakfast..."
Marielle says... OK, OK.
"I think it's Teresa.
"If I'm murdered tonight, remember what I said."
I can't get it out of my head.
No, she wouldn't. I know!
Let's get rid of Marielle.
I was a Traitor from day one.
(CONTESTANTS EXCLAIM)
I am a Traitor.
(CONTESTANTS EXCLAIM)
And then I became a Traitor.
(GUFFAWS) It's nice to meet you.
(SIGHS) It's us versus them.
My game has completely shifted.
To ensure I take out the win today,
I need to use every skill I have ever learned
of deception and misdirection.
I wanna be the only Traitor standing at the end.
Whoo! Game time.
Yeah! There's the waterfall. There's the waterfall.
Oh, my God.
Oh, Jesus. Yep.
Very exciting.
Oh, let's go, guys. Get this off.
Let's get this!
Thank you.
Ooh, I can hear the water.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
Ballerina. Ooh!
Welcome to Devils Falls.
Congratulations. You've made it to the Grand Challenge.
And as you can see, we've saved the best till last.
Today we have $40,000 in silver bars,
potentially bringing the prize pot up to $250,000.
If you manage to collect it from...from down there.
CRAIG: Yeah! Come on! (LEWIS CHUCKLES)
You'll be required to stare death in the face
and abseil down the falls.
I don't think I wanna be here right now.
Now, you'll abseil in pairs.
And to make something totally terrifying even more terrifying,
it will be a race against the clock.
You'll have 20 minutes on the clock
and just to raise the stakes a little, because, you know, drama,
this will be an all-or-nothing challenge,
meaning all players must complete the challenge
or the team get nothing.
I'm glad you're doing this with me.
I'm glad we're doing it together. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, what happens next will determine the ultimate grand prize.
40 grand on the line. 20 minutes to get it.
Now or never. Time starts now. CRAIG: Righto!
We're good to go, I think, Kate.
Oh, my God. What?
I'm gonna have a heart attack.
Ooh, I can't. No, you're right.
There's a little ledge. Have a breather.
Yeah. Yep.
Then lean back a bit more.
Going over the top,
like that first bit going over the edge of the cliff
and allowing the harness to hold all of your body weight
is, like, honestly one of the hardest things I've ever done.
Trust a rope with my life.
It seems counterintuitive 'cause, like, it's a 100m drop.
Oh, my God!
(WHIMPERS)
We're doing it. (LAUGHS)
What the hell! (SIGHS)
Oh, my goodness. That waterfall's getting close.
Oh, my. This is really slippery.
You're doing amazing.
We're doing it, Kate. We're doing it.
(LAUGHS) I can't believe we are.
Oh, my God. It's so slippery here.
Oh, shivers. Argh!
I'm going bush.
Do we just keep going straight? Are you OK?
Yeah. I've got no wall here.
So my motivation to win
is to bring home that prize for my wife and my daughter.
They are my life and my sole purpose of being here.
I've played this game as a Faithful from the heart.
Authentic and with integrity.
Traitor hunting. Yeah!
Traitor-hunting season.
My strategy in the game was to establish relationships with people
and work with them to my advantage.
And so you would have some opinions, my guess?
Absolutely.
We've gotta think about a name we're gonna put down.
Who are we suspicious about? FI AND CRAIG: Angus!
I have followed my own intuition.
That's something that I am proud of.
Ah, you guys got me. I'm a Traitor!
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
Maybe, Marielle, you are in fact a Traitor.
I was a Traitor from day one.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER)
But my emotions have blinded me in this game.
You being on top of that list
is someone whose name I just wouldn't be able to put down.
Like, we'd had this connection from the start.
I know. I know.
Everything, the entire game, has been leading to this end game,
so I need to separate head from heart.
I'm so sorry, my brother.
I don't know what else to do.
So this is it.
I'm gonna do everything in my power
to fight tooth and nail.
I cannot take the chance of letting a Traitor get to the end.
I've just gotta keep my eye on the finish line.
Oh, I can see the silver.
It's directly beneath you. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, the silver!
Hello, baby. Oh, my God!
Have you got your bag? Yeah, baby.
Got your bag?
Three. (LAUGHS)
Four.
Five. Oh, my God.
I don't think I've ever had $10,000 in my pocket before.
You take your time. Oh, my God.
Alright. Let's go.
We got it! Guys, we got it!
Give us five. Yeah! (LAUGHS)
(BOTH COOEE)
Winning is my love language.
This is what I came for.
Oh, I'm slipping.
And here comes Craig, closely followed by Kate.
Both now. And here they come.
Go, Kate, go, go! (LAUGHS)
(CONTESTANTS EXCLAIM) Go, go. You guys go!
How many bars of silver, guys? Off you go!
We're gonna go! We got our five. We got our five.
Oh, my God! Second team.
You have nine minutes remaining.
Second team, you have nine minutes remaining.
Nine minutes.
Go, Alex. You can do it. Go, guys!
(SNIVELS)
I don't know what...where my feet are going right now.
MAN: That's it. That's it. Like, you're totally there.
I don't know.
(SOBS) I really don't think I can do this.
Yeah?
Good job. You can do it, Alex. You got it, Alex.
ALEX: Being in the final four feels pretty surreal.
I have come so far in this game.
I came into the Traitors with the goal of flying under the radar.
I keep forgetting that there are Traitors in this room.
So I'm like, "Oh, I love everyone."
Then I'm like, "Hold on a second. Someone is actively deceiving me."
The fun side to being quiet is you do a lot of listening and watching.
You get pointers along the way of what to do and what not to do.
And then you came into breakfast and then you pointed at me and said,
"Teresa's your Traitor."
And I wholeheartedly believe you're a Traitor.
But I wasn't afraid to put my suspicions out there.
From the start, Claire.
I just had this weird feeling
and that's why my vote is going to you tonight.
But then my game changed.
After two Traitors were recently hunted down...
..Team Traitor decided to go on a bit of a recruitment drive,
if you know what I mean.
I didn't choose to be a Traitor and deciding whether or not to accept
was a hard decision for me.
Oh, my God.
But I realised what I'm here for.
I came into The Traitors with the goal
of starting a family with my partner Tiffany.
For a gay couple to have kids, obviously we have to go through IVF.
Which is a gruelling and lengthy and expensive process.
And I think I speak for anyone out there
that has, you know, struggled to have kids.
It's...it's very, very motivating.
From the moment that I became a Traitor...
Hello, darling. Hello.
..I have leveraged each and every single one of these relationships
to manoeuvre my way here.
(WHISPERS)
After Marielle was banished,
I obviously had to change my way of thinking
and that meant looking at the people that I was close to.
Yeah, so I'm coming to the realisation
that...maybe I can win this game.
LEWIS: Oh, you're a trouper, Alex. Good work.
Walking back, nice and slow.
It's getting easier. Ooh!
You're the best, Alex. (LAUGHS)
OK. I'm never gonna do this again.
Nah, you're... Such good work, Alex. Look how far you've come.
This is it! This is it!
Oh, watch out.
You're a trouper, Alex.
Look at ya!
OK.
You did it!
Not long to go now. Four minutes to go.
Four minutes.
Alright. I'll see you up there.
Craig, Kate, Lewis and myself,
we've survived this long.
So we have all played a very, very good game.
Getting to the end game will take a lot of determination and willpower.
But this is my shot. I really can't slip up.
Alex, you're just gonna walk it over the top, alright?
We're gonna help you get up here. I'm ready.
I'm ready to take on three very strong players
to fight the hardest.
Whatever you need to do to climb over.
I have to make it to the end. Ooh!
One minute to go!
KATE: Yes! CRAIG: You did it! You did it!
(CONTESTANTS APPLAUD)
Alex, you're a legend!
Yoo!
I'm so proud of it!
What a fantastic effort, Alex. Well done.
Legend! Just in the nick of time.
Congratulations! You did it!
Can you believe it?! You did it!
Well, guys, $40,000. Incredible effort. Congratulations.
(CONTESTANTS CHEER) Good job, guys.
What a day! What a bloody day!
Whoo!
Well, a grand finish to a Grand Challenge, wouldn't you say?
(CONTESTANTS LAUGH)
Friends, together, you've created a grand prize
of $250,000.
Well done. Congratulations!
Enjoy the moment but...
..don't let the warm and fuzzies fool you,
because make no mistake, from here on in,
it is every player for themselves.
At tonight's banishment,
you'll determine exactly who will go through to the end game.
Faithful, last night, you managed to banish one of your own again.
You cannot afford to let that happen
because the only way a Faithful can win the end game
is by banishing all the Traitors.
If even one Traitor slips through the cracks, they will take it all.
I will see all of you tonight.
CRAIG: He knows how to bring down a mood, doesn't he?
ALEX: I just jumped off a bloody cliff for you, Rodger.
As a Faithful, this is it.
This is the final piece of the entire puzzle.
Eliminating all of the remaining Traitors is going to be so crucial.
I cannot take the chance of leaving a Traitor get to the end.
That's not an option. There's no second chance.
If there's a Traitor left at the end, they get everything.
ALEX: Being in this position in this part of the game
honestly is the best position in the world.
I hold all the power.
I know how many Traitors there are. I know who they are.
And I know who the Faithfuls are.
My ideal end game is to end up in that room with one Faithful.
Then I take all the money because I'm the last Traitor standing.
For me to get to the end game,
plan A would be convince Craig that Lewis is a Traitor.
Get Lewis voted out.
Plan B is get Kate voted out.
I wanna play alongside Craig.
Up until now, I don't know how I've gotten here but I have
and I'm kind of like...is it because we were both friends with Traitors?
Like, they were keeping us close. I know. Yeah.
Because they were using us as pawns
and planting those ideas in our heads.
Yeah. Yeah.
Craig is a very loyal Faithful.
But he's also way too trusting and can't separate heart from head.
That is his biggest mistake.
And it would be silly of me not to use it to my advantage.
I'm 100% Faithful and I have been the whole game.
Me too. Yeah. And will be till the end. OK.
I'm being strategic in the fact that
I don't wanna bring Lewis and Kate's name up.
I want him to bring it up first.
I'm freaking out of my brain
that they're planning something, the two of them.
And it's to come against you or I.
Yes. Yeah.
But I don't know whether it's Lewis pulling the strings
or it's her pulling the strings.
One of them could be the new recruit and one of them could be an OG.
Or, like, one of them could just be a Traitor. Like, you know?
Yeah. Yeah.
And Lewis trying to change the vote last minute to Teresa.
Yeah, yeah.
You have to promise me that you're gonna vote Lewis, though,
'cause I don't wanna stand alone.
Hell, no. That's what I'm doing.
OK. OK. That's the only option, alright?
KATE: The stakes going into this banishment are monumental.
The thing is, if I get to the end game with Alex,
I need to trust that she's not gonna take me out
like she did all the other Traitors.
So actually the best-case scenario is getting her out before we get there.
All I have learned in this game is that you can trust nobody.
It's a game of deception and lies.
We're basically each other's pawns.
But there can only be one queen at the end.
Alright, do you wanna go first? What are you thinking?
Like, you are, you know, definitely the one that I trust the most.
I have never explicitly heard Alex say that she is a Faithful.
Or she's not a Traitor. She never says anything.
She sits in that room and watches us burn each other.
Yeah, that's right.
There's at least one Traitor out there who's just sitting there.
They're just one step away
from taking $250,000.
As a Faithful, there's only one thing left to do
and that is find a Traitor, banish them
and just take it home for the Faithful.
At this point, the person that I can trust the most is Kate.
She's been, like, master Traitor hunter.
I believe, through her actions,
she's proved herself to be more trustworthy than Alex and Craig.
Do you remember... 'Cause...
I believe when Teresa was going me and then Alex jumped in and said,
"Yeah, why did you go for that Shield so hard?"
And it's, like, my head was on the chopping block, so I needed it.
But Alex said, "I just feel guilty.
"I'd feel guilty you're going for the Shield
"when there's people on death row, you know,"
and why would you feel guilty
about a decision that you have no power over
unless you are the Traitor
and you're feeling bad that you have to send someone home?
No-one's ever questioned Alex in that banishment room.
No-one's written her name down.
And since the recruitment,
the suspicion's grown with Alex definitely.
For me, your reaction at the end of the last banishment
was the only, like, normal-sized reaction
to Teresa going, as far as I was concerned.
Being like, "Well, this is shit." Yeah.
Those crocodile tears that went for, like, two minutes.
'Cause she's very sweet. Yeah, she is.
And I'm sure it would probably be very hard voting out people
that you already know are Faithful.
And then Craig hugged her.
And I'm like, "I don't know if that's because he's a lovely man
"or because they just congratulated each other."
If I was able to convince Craig and then I perhaps have Kate on my side,
then I'm looking pretty bloody good.
I'm fairly certain on Alex and we might as well take the chance.
CRAIG: How are you feeling today?
I was just trying to run through everything
and, like, I think the time of going in there and saying
"These are the reasons that you're a Traitor" is beyond us.
Now it's the time of saying why we're a Faithful.
Right, yeah, yeah, yeah.
This is the whole game for me and any of the Faithfuls left right now.
We can't win if there's Traitors left in the game.
It's just so wild because we don't even know
if there's one or two Traitors left.
I know. Which just makes my stomach churn.
I've just been paranoid all night.
So I'm at a stage, I believe, with Alex
that of the three available options left,
she is the most trustworthy for me.
I 100% believe Lewis to be the Traitor
but I can't rule out that Kate has either been working with him
or, in some capacity, orchestrating some of the moves as well.
What do we do?
I mean, I believe that Alex is a Traitor.
If we vote Alex and it turns out she's a Traitor,
we should be alright, but if she's a Faithful,
then we know that Kate has to be a Traitor, right?
Mm. Mm. Yeah. Yeah. You know?
And that's... (SIGHS) Yeah.
That's her best chance.
Makes sense.
Yeah.
(SIGHS) Hey.
Is Lewis coming in?
I don't think so. I don't know.
Is he? Why?
He's the one that, like, swayed to vote for Teresa.
OK.
I would never write your name down. OK.
We need you on board. We can't do this without you.
Yep. Can you lead the way?
KATE: OK.
OK. OK.
See you in there, guys.
See you in there. Alright.
(SIGHS)
What a crock of crap that was.
Craig is... He's ruthless.
100%. They're forming a blindside.
I'm in trouble, but whenever the odds are stacked against you,
there's always an opportunity to fight.
You've just gotta rise to the occasion and give it your all.
I've got some fighting to do.
Good evening.
Hi, Rodger.
Well, well.
Don't you all scrub up well?
(CONTESTANTS CHUCKLE)
Sorry, I was talking about the silver.
(CONTESTANTS CHUCKLE) There it is.
$250,000,
or one-quarter of a million dollars
in solid sterling silver.
Feels good to say.
Feel even better to win it, I'd say.
Now previously you've heard me speak about how one player
is going to walk away with that life-changing fortune.
And, yes, that still may be true.
But...there's also another possibility.
The money can be shared.
It's just one of the options in the end game.
But to be clear, if we're left with one Faithful and one Traitor,
the Traitor will take it all.
Let's make no mistake.
Faithful, if you find yourself
unwittingly making a deal with the devil,
hmm, the devil's gonna win every single time.
To make it to the end game, the final three...
..you must survive this banishment.
I hope you choose wisely.
Over to you.
LEWIS: I wouldn't mind taking the floor to begin with.
Just before we walked in here,
I saw you three all talking at the fireplace.
In the past, it was safe to go in numbers and hide in numbers
and come in here with your mind already made up,
but with a decision this heavy,
you have to come in with an open mind
and you have to be willing to listen to what everyone is saying
because we've only got one shot at this.
From the very start of this game,
I've just tried to play as authentically Lewis
as I possibly can.
And that's why I can sit here and put my hand on my heart
and look at everyone right in the eyes right now
and say that I swear on my mother's life that I am Faithful.
I've never wavered from that
and I just want you all to keep an open mind with this decision.
Because it's...massive.
Lewis...I've seen several things about you throughout the game
that have given me reason to suspect you.
And it's a confusion, this dichotomy of what...what you are.
That lovable tradie
but also the very astute, very smart man that you are, mate.
Of all the people left,
you're the main one that I have suspicions still around.
I'm 100% Faithful.
That's all I can say sitting around this table,
but I just don't know where else to look.
Out of everyone, we spent the least time together.
Yeah, yeah.
And so I believe that there is gonna be some bias
in your decisions and it's because you've been able to spend
a bit more time with everyone else and just because I'm the least down,
that's why I'm up on your list so much.
Could be.
I believe that, you know, if you are a Traitor,
we should all be worried because you had...
You've done so well.
You're so lovable and you're such a bloody awesome bloke.
But is that the perfect cover?
Lewis, why did you try to sway the last vote?
When I was trying to swerve to Teresa?
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
It was getting to the point where keeping Teresa in the game,
she would have been too dangerous to me,
'cause she was really gunning for me at that point.
So it was purely just, you know, try and get rid of her
so that less people were looking at me at that stage.
Right.
But, like, if you are a Traitor...
..that would probably be the perfect move.
Trying to sway the vote onto Teresa to save yourself.
It can definitely be interpreted that way.
This game is all about trust
and I really believe that trust is earnt and not given.
And I was trying to keep people at arm's length.
Whether it's to my detriment or, you know, advantage,
we've just gotta wait and see.
OK.
Thank you.
Alex.
The last banishment really rattled me about you too.
(OMINOUS MUSIC)
KATE: Alex...
..the last banishment really rattled me about you too.
For me at the end of that banishment when Teresa left,
Lewis's reaction, for me, was the only right-sized reaction,
which was, like, "Well, we're done now."
The crying, it's an excessive amount of tears.
For me, it reads as guilt.
I think, for me, like, I took that one pretty heavy.
As much as, like, I thought she was a Traitor...
..I had to look her in the eye and lie and say,
"Hey, man, it's gonna be OK. I'm not voting for you," you know.
And, like, I don't want to do that. She's my friend.
And then to come in here, put her name down
and then find out she's not a Traitor,
like, that's heavy.
That would be heavy on anyone.
I'm not calm when I come in here.
Like, I'm clenching my jaw every single time I come in here.
It's super hard coming to this room. I actually, like, hate it.
I hate it.
(SIGHS)
I'm just scared. I'm really scared.
RODGER: OK.
Final four, now it's time
to write down the name of the person you wish to banish,
therefore deciding who the final three will be
to go through to the end game.
And now you may vote.
(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)
OK.
It's now time to reveal everyone's votes
to decide who will be banished
and exactly who will go through to the end game.
Tonight, we're gonna start with Lewis.
I think that you just started off this game so strong
and you were just so perfect that no-one would ever touch you
and you'd just make the perfect recruit.
So, one for Craig. Now, let's hear from Craig.
I can assure you I'm not a Traitor or a recruit.
And, likewise, I hope it actually works, mate,
but I think you are the Traitor.
So, one for Lewis, one for Craig.
Alex, your vote.
Um...
I think that what really cemented it for me in here
was the fact that you tried to sway the vote to Teresa
to save possibly yourself.
Nothing else makes sense, but that does.
And that's why I'm voting for you.
Two for Lewis, one for Craig.
One vote remaining.
Lewis, obviously, with one more vote, you will be banished.
Let's hear from Kate.
KATE: It's the only one that makes sense for me.
And so I hope you're a Traitor.
And so it is done.
With three votes tonight, Lewis,
unfortunately you will be banished.
If you wouldn't mind joining me up here?
Now, before you let us know
whether you are indeed a Traitor or a Faithful,
is there anything you'd like to say to the group?
Yeah, I mean, I enjoyed this whole game,
and, like I said,
I've been as honest and as transparent as possible
and I looked you all in the eye
and swore on my mother's life that I was a Faithful
and I wasn't lying.
I'm Faithful.
(INTRIGUING MUSIC)
CRAIG: It's gut-wrenching when you send a Faithful home
at this stage of the game.
Losing Lewis may have changed the entire game for me now.
Making the final decision between Alex and Kate,
there's a lot weighing on it.
I guess it's a question of who I feel I can believe more,
who I feel I can trust more,
'cause both ladies are saying flat-out bold to my face,
"I'm a Faithful, I'm a Faithful, I'm a Faithful."
One of them, you would suspect at least, is lying.
Which one is it?
KATE: The stakes going into this banishment are monumental.
We're at kind of the tip of the sword now
because Alex and I are both Traitors.
Craig is out of the running.
He gets no money whatsoever right now. That's a shame, but the truth.
This is between two Traitors - Alex and myself.
This is the biggest decision I've had to make in this game.
If Alex and I both banish Craig,
the two of us could share the money.
But she's banished all the other Traitors,
so the idea of trusting a Traitor at this point,
it's kind of impossible.
Going into this chat with Alex,
I really want Alex to believe that I am going along with the plan.
This is a lot. Ooh!
Um...
(SIGHS)
Obviously, to vote for Craig... Yes.
..we both have to say to him
that we're considering each other as well.
I agree.
Well, I'm still all in if you are.
Yep. All the way. I really am.
OK.
I don't know how I can promise it any more.
Yeah, neither can I. It makes sense that it's us two at the end, right?
I brought you into this so that it was us two at the end.
Yes. OK.
It's OK, we can share this. It's fine.
I really want to. It's a lot of money.
(LAUGHS) It's more than enough.
OK. I'm just gonna trust you.
Alright, so, we both just say to him
that we're still considering each other.
Yep.
It's not gonna be easy.
That's all I know.
Ah, Craigy...
My last Hail Mary now is to try and subtly suggest to Craig
that I am going to be voting for Alex
and I'm hoping that his heart will sway him away.
OK.
Here we are. Hi.
Yeah. Oh, my God.
A bit freaked? Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. I want to believe in you.
I want to believe...
What we said yesterday of taking you and me,
I want that more than anything!
I want that too. But am I being blinded by that?
Because you're such a good Faithful. So are you!
I need to know. Are you gonna tell me the truth?
I'm telling you the truth, 100%.
If we're on the same page, though,
we need to figure out what we do here.
Yeah, I know.
So, we have to get her. It just...
Alex's demeanour in that banishment room every time
has been, like, cool and calm the ent...
..every single banishment.
The only other two people who have been like that
the whole time is Marielle and Nigel.
Mm.
They're the only people who have sat there in every banishment
and just breathed and watched everyone fight among themselves.
Alex will never in a million years think I'm gonna write her name down,
so if we say to her...
Unless she's playing us both right now.
Well, yeah.
Craig's really hard to read,
but I feel pretty certain...
..that Craig will vote for Alex.
So, Alex is banished
and then as soon as I reveal myself as a Traitor,
I take home $250,000.
You doubted yourself in trusting me.
This is the smartest thing you've done all game, is trust me.
I promise you. Hold my hands.
Feel the steadiness in my hands.
Look at my eyes and hear my heart.
I can't lie like this. I can't lie this good.
The Traitors is the hardest game
that I have ever played,
but it's a game.
It's a game.
I just feel so bad that Craig is caught in between
the middle of two Traitors.
There is no way that he can win this game.
Hi.
You OK?
I'm definitely thinking about my future
and what this money can do to change it.
It would go towards starting a family with my girlfriend, Tiff,
so all is riding on this.
Are you and Kate playing a game against me?
Like, I feel like I'm the only Faithful sitting in the room.
No, I'm 100% Faithful. That was horrible in that room.
Yeah.
I'm not sure about... I'm not sure about either of you, to be honest.
I just don't want to place a vote
and then have myself voted out because I'm a Faithful
and I have been this entire time
and I think that I'm sitting here between either one or two Traitors
and I don't know who to trust.
I've spoken the truth 100% the entire game
and that's all I can do.
There's nothing more I can do than that.
If Kate and I vote Craig out,
that means we go head-to-head
and we either steal or share the money.
I want to believe Kate,
but I know that you cannot trust anyone in this game.
I just don't know who to believe.
I feel like whatever I do, the only thing I know for certain
is that I'm Faithful and I feel like now it's a 50-50.
It's tricky.
The only guarantee is to betray Kate
to get Craig to vote her...
..so that I can win the money.
What makes the most sense to me right now
is that Kate is a Traitor and you're a Faithful.
She's so good at this game.
I just don't know how I've survived this long with her being around.
Like, I've been hiding in the numbers just like you have been,
and, like, I'm no good, better at this than anybody else.
I feel like I have had a death warrant since day one
and it's just creeping closer and closer
and I'm wondering if this is the final moment that happens.
I don't know if I can trust you.
At the end of the day, the vote lies with Craig.
Trusting Craig is my best shot at that silver,
but I don't know what way Craig is gonna go.
He could completely absolutely turn on me.
You will not be hurt by this decision.
We put it to a vote and we put down Kate.
OK.
(CLOCK TICKS)
ALEX: It would be silly of me to think that Kate is gonna let us
share the silver.
So, I assume that she will betray me, so I will betray her.
I just hope I can trust Craig's word
when he says that he's gonna vote Kate.
If Craig puts down my name, that's my time done.
It's out of my hands at this point. It's about survival.
I'm fighting for my life here.
(OMINOUS MUSIC)
Welcome to the end game.
Craig, Alex, Kate,
congratulations for making it this far.
A truly awesome effort.
Thanks, Rodger.
Now, at this point, all you have to do is make a simple decision.
Faithful, if you believe you've eradicated
all the Traitors in the room,
you can choose to share the prize.
If you all agree to share
and you all are indeed Faithful,
then you split the pot,
which would be approximately $83,333.33 recurring.
(CHUCKLES) Give or take.
If you do choose to share and there are still Traitors amongst you,
then unfortunately the remaining Faithful exit the game.
Now, there is another way to play it.
If you think there still are remaining Traitors,
you can choose to vote
and one more player will be banished.
If we're left with one Faithful and one Traitor,
the Traitor will take it all.
So, now you know what the options are,
you know the implications
and you know you're about to make
one of the biggest decisions of your life.
OK.
Would you now write down your choice?
Either 'share' or 'vote'.
OK, let's find out whether the group
would like to share or take it to a vote.
Craig.
Rodger, I believe my only option at this stage of the game
to stay in it is to go to a vote.
Alex.
I still think that there are Traitors in the room,
so I would like to take it to a vote.
And Kate.
I assume that there are two Traitors here, not just one,
and I might as well get one of them.
Unanimous. So, everyone agrees to take it to a vote.
Well, then we go into the final banishment.
In a moment, I'll ask you to write down the name
of the final person that will be banished from the game.
But before then,
I'll give you a short moment to discuss.
Can I just say that, like,
I'm so torn between the two of you
because I'm, like, stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I feel like this is my one shot.
Maybe there's only one of you, maybe there's two,
and I just want to get it right.
I really just want to get it right.
I just ask you both to look into your heart
and the Craig that you knew
is the Craig that is finishing this game,
the same Craig that started this game.
Yep. I won't hurt either of you.
If either of you decide to go to the end with me,
you will not be hurt by that decision.
That's all I can say and I promise that. I promise that.
I do know that in the banishment room,
consistently, you have always been the calmest person in the room
from the day we got here.
And the only other people who have ever been as calm as that
are Marielle and Nigel.
Both of them were Traitors.
OK.
For the final time,
please write down the name of the person
you wish to banish tonight.
(DRAMATIC MUSIC)
It's now time to reveal who the group has decided to banish from the game
for the final time.
Let's start with Alex.
Um...
This decision is really hard...
..because a lot rides on it, but...
..this person, I think, is a Traitor.
Kate, I'm voting for you.
(EXHALES)
So, one vote for Kate.
Kate, how did you vote?
(SIGHS UNSTEADILY)
I think you're a Traitor.
So, one vote for Kate, one vote for Alex.
So, it all comes down to a deciding vote from Craig.
Craig, how did you vote?
(SIGHS)
The only thing I'm certain of sitting around this table
is that I'm Faithful.
I want to believe both of you.
I love you both
and you've both played this game in such an unbelievable way.
I'm not sure whether I have this right or wrong...
..but as amazing a person you are,
you might just be a Traitor.
(TENSE MUSIC)
So, one vote for Kate, one vote for Alex.
So, it all comes down to a deciding vote from Craig.
Craig, how did you vote?
(SIGHS)
The only thing I'm certain of sitting around this table
is that I'm Faithful.
I want to believe both of you.
I love you both
and you've both played this game in such an unbelievable way.
I'm not sure whether I have this right or wrong...
..but as amazing a person you are,
you might just be a Traitor.
So, what's done is done.
With two votes tonight, Kate,
unfortunately you are banished.
If you wouldn't mind joining me up here?
Before I ask you whether or not you are indeed a Traitor or Faithful,
is there anything you'd like to say?
Um, I came here because I like playing games
and this was a good one.
I have loved playing with both of you.
Good luck both of you at the end. I love you both.
I am a Traitor.
(GRUNTS)
(GROANS)
I knew it!
(LAUGHS)
Oh, my God, that stare!
Thank you for believing from your heart.
(SIGHS)
Oh, my God.
We did it!
(GRUNTS)
So, and then there were two.
For us to proceed any further,
first we need to find out your true identities.
If you're both Faithful or both Traitors,
it will come down to a game of share or steal.
But if we're left with one Faithful and one Traitor,
the lone Traitor will take the lot.
So, the $250,000 question is,
are you Faithful
or are you a Traitor?
Craig, can you please reveal your true identity?
I am very proud to say that I have been from the start of the game
and will leave this game as a proud Faithful.
Faithful, Faithful, Faithful! (LAUGHS)
Alex...
..if you're a Traitor, the $250,000 is yours.
So, Alex, are you a Faithful or a Traitor?
(DRAMATIC MUSIC)
Oh, no.
I'm a Traitor, Craig.
That's the game.
Craig, though at the moment the decision is hard to take,
let me assure you
you have played the game in excellent fashion
from beginning to end.
It's been an absolute pleasure to meet you.
Making it down to the final two,
beating out 22 other players,
I am absolutely positive your family is nothing but proud of you.
It's been an absolute pleasure.
To everybody, the entire cast that played the game,
my hat's off to them and my congratulations to Alex.
And you have played from your heart
and I respect you so much
for being here in this final...final game.
Yeah. Thanks. That means a lot.
Craig, unfortunately, it must end here.
Yep.
And for the last time, you can say goodbye to the banishment room.
Thank you so much for playing. Thank you.
(GENTLE MUSIC)
Alex... (LAUGHS)
..can I say, firstly, well played?
Oh, my God!
I didn't think I could pull that off.
You got to play both sides
and, may I say, you played both sides brilliantly well.
You started off as a Faithful
and then you were turned to a Traitor.
(LAUGHS)
How does it feel to be $250,000 richer?
It feels pretty good, I will say that,
but also pretty bad.
Oh, bittersweet, I could say, really.
In real terms, what does this money mean to you?
I've been speaking about it being life-changing.
Is that the case for you? Yeah.
Um, it means a house, a family,
most importantly IVF,
which can be very expensive,
but I'm sure that will cover more than needed.
Sitting in the middle of this room
is $250,000 in solid sterling silver
and now I will leave you two to get acquainted.
(LAUGHS)
Do you know what?
To be the first winner of The Traitors,
wow!
I mean...
But I'm so proud of what I've had to overcome -
the toughest players in this game,
some of the strongest voices in the room.
This is life-changing for me, literally!
I am gonna start a family, start my life with my girlfriend.
I feel pretty damn good. Pretty damn good.
And so it is done.
An impressive prize for an equally impressive winner
and the end to our most treacherous game.
Now that hunting season is over, alas, I must bid you all farewell,
but not to worry.
I am certain you'll return to our grand old manor once again.
Until next time, adieu.
