but I always just felt like I didn't fit in anywhere.

And there were these young Asian boys

that were kind of the same age as us.

And we were just like hanging about the bus station.

That happened for a couple of weeks.

And that's why, I think, a lot of the time,

The pattern of how to groom a child

that Barnardo's documented in 1996 was new.

The final stage is prostitution,

She's doing him a favour.

They just kept coming and coming.

I think I was going missing every day from that children's home.

I remember one day, like, I was high on drugs,

off all these drugs they'd give me,

and I was trying to run away.

And they put me in the car

and they ended up taking us to a hotel in town.

And we was there for like four days,

and men was just coming and going.

And, in the end, they was like, "Here's a load of money."

Took us to the Arndale Centre and bought me a gold ring,

a mobile phone.

And then dropped us back off at the children's home.

There was another incident where I was anally raped by these men,

One day, there was like 11 men that all done something to me.

And they wouldn't let us go.

These people that were meant to protect you,

You might think that because Chantelle

and Erin's cases happened 20 years ago,

But the reason I decided to go back to investigate

Like, it's too much of a risk

And the statistics show that the vast majority of abuse

But, as I started to investigate

this particular pattern of child sexual abuse,

of the cases that involve British Pakistani perpetrators.

I decided to track down some of the other women

Because, actually, we were talking about children

that were being exploited, trafficked, tortured, raped.

Astonishingly, it says that 268 young women

The report identified that were a lot of gaps and a lot of faults.

And that must have been absolutely terrifying for you.

And then, when they was done with me,
