Back in the day, the Rolls Royce
would have been painted

in cellulose paint
which all cars were back then.

That's the best technology they had.

So, we're using
a modern technology paint,

which is obviously black paint,
but it comes with a clear lacquer.

That lacquer is like
a varnish coat over the top.

But if we put that on
and get it very thin,

it will actually
look like cellulose.

With this technique
where you put extra thinners in,

if you hesitate,
if you slow down too much,

it will run everywhere.

So, this is a big gamble.

If you can get it on
really tight to the surface,

it's like a jet fighter.

Really low and really fast.

That's it.
The paint, the lacquer is on there.

I can do no more.
I have given it my absolute all.

get a piece of metal

and make it the shape

fits against the back wing

because there's a big ugly gap there

and I know it's gonna
put extra time on the job.

that piece of metal.

Weld it in.

And then when the door's on there,
the gap will be gone.

Put it in the shrinker stretcher,
then give it the curve of the door

and then get it lined up.

that our measurements

are right to the door.

So, we're making this 15mil bigger.

is the gap will be right.
