Growing up, me being an only child, you know,

I got a lot of one-on-one time with my mom and dad.

I love my mom to death, and she's the best woman on earth.

after the experience I had.

I feel bad for Haley. She was so close.

She burned a lot of calories trying to get there and back.

- I think hearing everybody's favorite foods,

and, you know, Jake being able to choose

is a huge advantage in the game now.

- At this point,

everyone should be gunning for the strongest.

He's the last person that we needed to win that.

So Jake is the one to beat right now.

- I think that is the only way.

- I think our biggest strengths would be our overall mindset.

We're very similar in that sense

and we're all very confident in that.

- We are connected so deeply that sometimes I feel

like I can feel her emotions as well.

I think we're just on a frequency.

Like, there's not always things that need to be said

or actions to be taken.

It's just like you can feel something.

I just hope nobody takes his sleeping bag.

Right now, the people that we trust the most are Justin,

Austin, Abby, and Gerrad.

Since Haley and Meagan had no items taken,

they will not be receiving crates

to put their supplies into.

and Woody's family gunning for Jake.

What we chose to take wasn't dire.

just because Jake is the strongest competitor.

will be in serious jeopardy.

since having his flint and steel taken away

by Austin and Justin.

His survival depends on being able to start a fire.

- Nice.

and then somehow, it was taken away.

But whatever hell the show wants to bring to me, I'll beat it.

because they want to keep them around

so that they can smoke them in the finale,

and Karly sees all the [bleep] and ain't buying it.

They're just gonna keep coming for Woody until he's gone,

but he's not going to leave.

and he's just going to sleep in the dirt.

- Attention, families. A survival trial is imminent.

Please report to the control room.

- This survival trial will test

how much faith you have in your survivalist.

- Yes.

- Supply crates will be dropped at two locations in the wild.

You will decide which location your survivalist will go to.

There are maps and navigation tools

labeled with the two drop locations.

The green location is closest to the lake

and relatively easy to find.

It has food and water inside.

The red location is farther from the lake

and has much tougher terrain, with dense forests

and steep elevation gains.

- This is crazy. - Good God!

- However, the red location crate holds food, water,

and a satellite phone for a two-minute call

with your loved one. - Ooh!

- Oh, my God, that's so fun.

- You may only choose one crate to send your survivalist to.

You will have 20 minutes to complete this challenge.

- Okay. Let's go.

- Armed only with a compass and a vague sense of direction,

the family members will have to decide

how best to navigate their survivalists to the crates,

and many of them have never used a compass before.

- Will they be given a map like this or not?

Just instructions.

- Just instructions that we write down.

- A phone call would be amazing,

but she needs the food,

and we think it's going to be easier to get to the green.

So we have to prioritize getting her that food.

- Trying to come over here.

- We decided to choose the more difficult crate

to find at the red location.

- That two-minute discussion on the sat phone,

we thought would be really valuable

for finally him to hear our voice

and let him get some more information from us.

- I don't understand.

- Because we're not facing north right now.

- So it's just us. - That doesn't matter.

- We chose the closer destination

because I know for a fact Haley does not know

how to read a compass,

and she also can't follow simple directions.

- As much as we want the phone call,

food is definitely going to be our main priority.

- 10 minutes remaining.

- Woody kind of got the brute end of the stick

the last few times.

We really just wanted to ensure that he got a box,

so we wind up going with the green point.

- Yeah, I think that's good.

[ Timer beeping ]

- Family members, your time is up.

But before your compass and maps

are sent to your survivalists,

there is one more phase to this survival trial.

- Oh! - Alright.

- Oh, man. What are we gonna have to do?

- Phase two will take place anonymously in the supply room.

- There's a twist. It was too easy.

- In this phase of the survival trial,

you will vote for a survivalist

to have their crate contain nothing.

- Any survivalist with two or more votes

will receive an empty crate.

- We have seen empty crates break some people.

And this might be what it takes to push a few people

over the edge and be extracted.

[ Dramatic music playing ]

- In this survival trial,

not everyone is guaranteed supplies.

you wish to receive no supplies.

I think it's obvious to all four teams

that Jake is the strongest.

We definitely don't want to do Haley, for sure.

And while it may be easier to find,

the survivalists will still have to hike two miles north
