My tarp is dumping water right now.

- The eight remaining survivalists

have just weathered a grueling, stormy night.

As this competition becomes more challenging,

only those with the strongest of family bonds will thrive.

I think I'm sleeping better here

than I am in my king-size bed at home.

It's hard to be away from my wife for so long.

- It's super hard because

we're not able to communicate.

I think I knew to some extent

that this would be a mental game for us.

I'm not sure that we quite grasped

how hard it was gonna be.

- Last night, an ominous announcement told the families

they would have to rank survivalists

from strongest to weakest

and that the order would have consequences in the game.

- Stayed dry last night, baby.

- I honestly think Haley is...

- We have Haley at, like, number two.

- Yeah. We have Haley pretty high.

She's set. Like, she knows the berries

to forage. - She's got tons of food.

- She's totally fine in there.

- I think Ryan is number one. - I don't know.

He's been complaining about a headache for a few days.

- In recent supply drops,

the weakest players have been rewarded...

- Not big boy, but two.

- ...and the strongest have been targeted.

- Whatever is happening today, it's better to be in the middle.

I don't think you want to be the strongest today.

- There's gonna be some hard decisions that have to be made.

And, you know, I'm gonna look out for the people

that have been looking out for me first.

- Okay. I don't want to hurt anybody.

You know, he didn't say like, "Yes, this is what

we're gonna do or anything,"

but he agreed with what I was saying.

And me, Sean, Sarah,

and hopefully Roger and Candace

have formed a bit of an alliance.

- Attaboy. We need to have friends.

We need to know who we can count on.

And I was really happy today that Blake understood

and talked to Ryan H's family.

- Blake-- he's over there talking to Sarah and Sean.

And I'm not gonna back-stab or hurt nobody intentionally.

- I mean, his shelter he built.

I mean, he's got stuff hanging up inside of it.

Roger and I-- we're gonna work together

in our own alliance

and do what we think is best for Ryan.

- And do what's best for my son 'cause at this point,

nobody else is helping us out.

[ Alarm blaring ]

- Attention, survivalists and families.

A survival trial is imminent.

which survivalists are the strongest and the weakest.

- [ Laughs ] Wonder how I fall in there.

- I think I'm beginning to finally understand

that the competition is between the family members.

We just either suffer by their decisions

or we celebrate their decisions.

I know Jake is strong mentally and physically.

- Yes, it's flattering that people think highly of Jake

to put us as the strongest competitor,

but in the end, it does kind of hurt us

because everyone's gunning for us.

You guys are flying so far under the radar, it's crazy.

Pretty hard to lay low,

considering Haley is quite obviously killing it.

I think we need to change our strategy.

as far as their alliance goes.

I think everybody's kind of playing dirty.

- I thought we had an alliance with Ryan H's family.

The strategy there was for the strongest

to quit obtaining the advantages.

- The order you have chosen will have consequences.

In the supply room are hunting weapons.

Hunting is an essential survival skill

necessary for harvesting food.

Some weapons are better than others,

and there are limited quantities of each.

Meagan's family, since your survivalist

was ranked the weakest,

you may enter the supply room first

to choose a weapon.

- I consider Meagan the underdog,

and in a lot of situations,

the underdog turns out to be a very good position.

- Alright.

- Each family will choose one weapon

to send to their survivalist.

There are four spears, best for close-range ambushes,

three bow and arrows for long-range precision,

and eight slingshots,

lightweight and ideal for small game.

- I think we should definitely give her

a chance of doing the bow and arrow.

Meghan has never shot a bow and arrow.

- But I think she'll pick it up pretty quick.

So, let's do the bow and arrow. Do you agree?

- Yeah. I agree.

- I don't even want to consider giving her a spear,

because I think that's high risk

of her not being able to catch anything.

- She'll have to be really close to it.

- Yeah. She'll probably have

a better chance with the bow and arrow.

because she's gonna struggle without it.

Her tarp needs improvement.

Everyone looked at Meagan as the weakest competitor.

I want her to have a fighting chance.

- I think we're gonna sacrifice Robyn for everybody else.

I think it's the right thing to do after we watched her

get three items yesterday,

I felt it was our time to make a gesture of goodwill

because Robyn has received a lot

and a lot of things have gone her way.

We have debts to pay,

so we needed to do something for someone else.

- Jake and Ryan H. need to get their letters no matter what.

- I appreciate that. We were gonna say that those two

have really not had anything in their boxes,

and all he's got is the slingshot.

is that while our survivalists are playing a game out there,

and trying to survive,

we are playing a game in here and trying to survive.

And I think that was really the first time

that we have seen a family break because of the toll

that headquarters takes on you.
