In the coming days, we get to be at Franzensfeste

for the Kids Culture Club to create an amazing event,

with lots of kids from the "Michael Pacher" middle school Brixen,

on the topic of songwriting, rap, and complaining.

What's your topic?

- Social media. - Absolutely!

How do you feel about complaints?

I think complaints are important and fantastic,

because complaining just helps you get something off your chest.

Right?

The kids have already collected complaints beforehand.

On these complaints, there were sometimes... rhymes.

Some were one-liners, some were already full verses

We then used those

to work further and filtered out a few themes.

What interests the kids, what do they want

to complain about, what’s on their minds...

And then we actually got them to start writing.

And now they are basically ready for the stage.

Yesterday, we wrote raps

in pairs or in groups.

I really enjoyed that,

and now I’m really excited to go to Franzensfeste.

This way, we don’t have to go to school,

and the project is pretty cool too.

I wrote about racism and respect.

I don’t really remember exactly what it was…

But we already have a beat.

Well, that’s totally normal,

when you start something you’ve never done before

and you don’t know how it works, then at first

you might be a bit shy.

closed off before.

are concerned with the topic of bullying,

because they might be experiencing bullying themselves.

So, all of this really came from them.

We didn’t give them any prompts,

we just took their notes and said,
