Tonight, on the Dukes.

Billie Joe, Deputy Sheriff of Hazzard County.

When Enos is taken off his beat..

- Promote me? - We want Enos.

Your entire county's under 10 feet of water.

And Hazzard could wind up in a watery grave.

Uh, the dam?

Anybody see who done it?

Yeah, well, never mind about that!

Help!

Yee-haw!

I'm fixing to give y'all some elements

to make up a pretty good Dukes yarn.

Come on, fellas. We promised Uncle Jesse we'd be home by 10.

But first, you take the Hazzard Dam..

Which has been the Dukes' fishing hole

for about four generations now.

We got enough for dinner. So come on, Bo.

It ain't enough for me.

Henry, I'll be back to get you some other time.

The Dukes was fishing. Now, y'all got that, ain't you?

Now, about this time, Enos' car had give up

when the fuel pump decided to take an early retirement.

At which time, Boss Hogg was on a personal inspection tour

to figure out another way to milk the county.

And that's how things got started.

Never mind. Dang, dang it.

- Hey, Enos. - Hey, Bo.

Enos.

I tell you, Boss, isn't that phony school crossing..

'Isn't that clever? Or is it clever?'

Well, we'll find out soon enough

when someone comes along, won't we?

And it better work.

'Cause like I tell you, the cash flow from all my scams

has slowed down to an itty-bitty little drip.

- 'Oh, look at that.' - 'Oh, there's a victim.'

I don't remember seeing that school crossing sign yesterday.

There ain't no school anywheres around here.

Oh, great. There's your answer, right there.

Rosco's been out fishing too.

- It's Duke fishing. - That's right.

It's another one of his phony speed traps.

That ain't fair.

We ain't got time to stop now, Uncle Jesse's waiting on us.

I know it, we're going.

Press that peddle. Go on after him.

I got that pedal to the metal.

- 'Come on, Bo.' - What am I supposed to do?

There ain't room but for one car.

- 'I can't do nothin'.' - 'Oh, here he comes.'

- Cut him off! Cut him off! - I got him. I got him.

- Alright. - Alright.

- 'You got 'em.' - I got 'em.

- 'You got them.' - What are you doing, Rosco?

Alright, you Dukes, I caught you this time.

I got you cold turkey going through that school crossing.

That's gonna cost you a 100 simoleons.

- 'And I got a witness.' - Yeah, I'm the witness.

And I seen everything plain as day.

Excuse me, sheriff. But that ain't right.

- Enos! What in the... - Enos.

Well, that's definitely not a legal school crossing, sir.

So if you're writing them a ticket, that's cheating, sir.

You heard the deputy. We got us a witness too.

Yep, and all the people in Hazzard

take his word against yours, Boss.

So I guess, it's time to say, farewell.

- Bye. - Well, nice try, Rosco.

Rosco. Come on, give them a ticket.

I can't give them a ticket.

Enos! How dare you?

- Enos, I'm warning you. - Enos. One day...

Enos! That's it!

'That's it. This is absolutely the last straw!'

Look what I did.

Oh, and that's your last box of cigars.

- My cigars. - Oh.

Well, you know it's all Enos' fault.

'Oh, it surely is.'

I mean, do you realize how much

that goody two-shoes deputy, Enos

has cost us all these years?

Well, it must've been a fortune.

Listen, suppose we just get rid of Enos once and for all

and hire us a deputy... who thinks like you and me.

Oh, that's marvy.

If we pick out a real tough cookie for the job

he might just catch them pesky Duke boys as well.

'Yeah, yeah, well, of course there could be a flaw'

'in the slaw there.'

- What's that? - Well, it's the town folks.

Never mind about them. Listen, I can't get this...

Let me do it. Don't worry.

Listen, I got them town folks all figured out.

Because I ain't gonna kick Enos out.

- Oh. - I'm gonna kick him up.

- Yeah. - Gonna kick him up.

- Yeah, I'm gonna promote him. - Oh, that's marvy.

How nice of you.

Uh-oh.

Boss, I got good news and bad news.

- Wh-what's the bad news? - Your hat's on fire.

- What? - Yeah.

- Well, what's the good news? - Well.

I think... it's out.

- Can't you do nothing right? - I'm sorry..

Meanwhile, the Dukes finally raised Cooter

and his tow truck on their CB.

And Enos switched rides.

I been over to Allabee's, eating me some meat loaves.

Bye-bye.

During all this, Boss went to his little black book

and pulled out the name of some out-of-town trash

he'd used in some of his dirtier deals.

You heard right, Billie Joe, I'm offering you the job

of deputy sheriff of Hazzard County.

And this ain't some kind of joke?

'I never joke when money's involved.'

Now, you gotta understand me being shook up, Boss.

I done a lot of jobs for you, but never

on the side of the law.

Let me tell you somethin'. This'll be the best scam yet.

I guarantee, you're gonna get a very nice piece of the action.

So, what do you say?

Deputy Coogan.

It sounds strange, but, uh, I'll take it.

Oh, good, good. Good, I'm glad to hear that. Now, listen.

You just report to me here in Hazzard County on the double.

I'm on my way. See you soon, commissioner.

Eddie, that is the break we've been waiting for.

How about that?

We've been looking high or low for a big hit.

It's been handed to us on a silver platter.

With me on the inside and you on the outside..

We can rip off them yokels in Hazzard

and really make a big killin'.

- I done it! - Oh-h!

- I pulled a double whammy. - Oh, yeah, double.

Don't do that.

I got me a new deputy who's gonna take care of them Dukes.

Plus, at the same time, help make us a fortune.

Oh, make us a fortune, I love that. I love it.

- Look at this. - What's that?

According to my secret ledger..

There it is. I got $151,238.67

put away in money I've skimmed

from the county over the past few years.

Oh, shame, shame. Everybody knows your name.

And with all my scams going full blast again..

That figure's gonna climb, climb, climb.

I know!

- There's Enos, though. - Uh?

You haven't told me, what you're gonna uphim to, to get him out.

Oh, no, yeah, well..

Wait and see, Rosco, wait and see.

Wait and see.

There. Come on, come on, let's go.

I wanna get my hat cleaned.

Well, yeah. Well, that is a mess, isn't it?

'How faithfully he maintains law'

and order here in Hazzard County.

- Yep. - Yeah.

And so, Enos Strate... uh, to reward you

for all your magnificent work..

I'm proud and pleased as punch

to announce that I am promoting you.

- Promoting me? - Isn't that wonderful?

- Yeah, that's great. - Alright!

Right, I am promoting you to commissioner...

Possum on a gum bush. Me, police commissioner?

Oh, no, no. Not police commissioner.

No, that's my job.

I've got a long, long time to run.

No, no. I-I'm saying that you're gonna be commissioner

of... records.

'That's it. Commissioner of records.'

'Uh, but listen, you're just gonna'

have to hand in your gun and your badge.

Because from now on, you're gonna be a civilian.

- A civilian? - There's the catch.

Please, don't promote me. Let me stay as deputy.

That's all I ever live and work for.

Why don't you just leave him where he's, let him stay deputy.

Yeah, what kind of deal is this, Boss?

Enos is the only decent lawman we ever had in this town.

Hazzard needs him.

Uh, now that Enos is going up, up, up..

It's time to introduce you to his new replacement.

Come in, Deputy Coogan!

Reporting for duty, commissioner.

Yeah. At ease.

Folks, let me introduce you to Billie Joe Coogan..

Deputy Sheriff of Hazzard County.

You didn't waste any time replacing Enos, did you, Boss?

'Where'd you from anyway, fella?'

Wait a minute, Deputy Coogan is from Cedar City

and he's very, very experienced.

I interviewed hundreds of applicants for this here job.

'And as police commissioner, I can assure everybody here'

that he is the most highly qualified. So there.

Alright, give him your..

Go on, go on, give him your gun.

That's it, and the badge too. There you go. Give them up.

- There you are, Cooligan. - Alright, that's the idea.

And now, folks, if you'll excuse me

uh, me and my lawmen, we got important work to do.

Enos, I'll see you in my office in town, in one hour, you hear?

- If not sooner. - Alright. Ten-hut. Forward!

Looks to me like our buddy Enos got railroaded.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on but now he needs cheering up.

Yeah. Hey, Enos. Hey, congratulations, buddy.

- Congratulations. - Yes.

It's dark in here. Go on in.

- Go on, now. - Get down them steps.

- What the... - Did you just...

- Where's the light switch? - It's over there.

I can't find it. Here it is.

- Enos, go ahead. - There we are.

- Yeah. - Come on, come on.

- I hate a coward. - Spider webs here, Mr. Hogg.

- Don't worry about them. - All sorts of creepies here.

This is gonna be your office, commissioner.

Like I told you, here are all them records.

- Yeah. - All 50 years worth.

You're gonna be busy, busy, busy.

- Sit down. - This place gives me the..

Look at that.

- Sheriff. - This stuff's stuck, ain't it?

- Sheriff, this... - 'Watch that, will you?'

Watch that, will you?

- Get me out of here! - 'Get him out.'

Get me out of here, will you?

Give me your hand. Get me out of here.

- Wait. - For goodness sakes, Rosco.

- Wait a minute. - Get me out.

- Enos. - Mr. Hogg, I'm sorry.

While Boss was showing Enos through the records downstairs

upstairs, old Billie Joe, who was naturally nosey..

Had found Boss' secret ledger.

Of course, the bigger secret was that Billie Joe could read.

I want you working down here... from 8 to 5, you hear?

I don't want you showing your face outside.

We'll send you lunch.

- Come on, Rosco. - Where?

Get us out of here.

You know, you nearly got filed.

Commissioner. You start filing, you hear? File, file. Yeah.

'Alright, come on, Rosco.'

Alright, alright, that takes care of good old Enos, don't it?

- That takes care of him. - Thank goodness.

Now we can get all our scams heated up real good.

You know, them floating crap games

them rigged parking meters, phony speed traps..

The moonshining, the bookmaking, the works!

You sure got it figured out, Boss.

Yeah. The only thing that can mess us up are those Duke boys.

- That's right. - So listen, Cooligan.

- I want you to... - No, "Coogan."

Whatever. Keep your eyes peeled.

Don't worry. I ain't gonna let nothing mess up this sweet deal.

- I'll take care of them Dukes. - Yeah, you do that.

Now, nothing could stand in our way.

- Nothing. - We're gonna go Hogg wild!

'You see Enos' face when we dropped him off to his new job?'

Like he's being led to his own hanging.

We gotta get him his badge back.

I know it.

Being deputy is his whole dang life.

'That Coogan fellow just don't sit right with me.'

Speak of the devil, there he is.

He sure don't waste no time, does he?

What?

He's using the artillery.

Coogan, what the heck are.. Luke.

A tree in the road up front. And a rat shooting from behind.

Now, won't that churn your breakfast?

Okay, you Dukes. Get out of that car and spread 'em.

Now, hang on a second.

Yeah, you ain't got no call to go shooting at us.

This badge gives me all the call I need.

'Now, spread. You're both under arrest.'

What for?

You ain't gonna start with that phony traffic-citation routine.

'Oh, you fellas are in a lot deeper than that.'

Not only was you speeding..

I'm charging you with evading arrest.

Now, up against your car..

Before I spread you myself..

All over this landscape.

Cool it!

You boys ain't dealing with Enos now, or that boob sheriff.

You. On the hood of the car.

You better follow orders..

Or you might not just make it.

Mr. Tough Guy, huh?

Where'd Boss and Rosco find you?

Yeah, never mind.

That's tight enough.

You boys got another charge against you.

- Attacking a police officer. - Oh, come on.

Now, I'm gonna throw you both in the jug..

And I'm impounding your car.

Oh, now, you can't do that to us.

Oh, no? Watch me.

Move it.

Well, ain't Billie Joe bad boy, bad news?

The first day, and he's got the boys and the General locked up.

And it ain't even lunchtime yet.

J.D., you're really getting me riled.

All you're doing is hounding the boys, Boss.

Listen, I keep telling you, Jesse.

If you want them two troublemakers of yours

out of jail, $500 is what it's gonna cost you.

Uncle Jesse, don't pay it. It...

It's gonna take all my seed-corn money

but I can't let you boys sit in there when you're not guilty.

'Alright, Coogan, let 'em out.'

Yeah, unstuff 'em.

We gotta go to the impound yard and get the General out.

- Come on. - Oh, no, you ain't doing that!

No, siree, Bob, that General stays under lock

and key as evidence until your court hearing next week.

- You can't keep that car. - No, that ain't legal.

Yeah, I decide what's legal around here.

- That's right. - Now, listen, you just scoot.

Before I change my mind about lettin' you go.

- We ain't got no seed-corn. - I'll deal with you boys again.

- 'I'll get you back here.' - Boys...

The way to handle this now is just to walk away.

Move it. The lot of you.

- Oh. - Listen, you!

You put a hand on that girl again

I'm gonna stuff you right through...

- Uncle Jesse. - I want you Dukes out of here.

If I see you here, I'll lock you up and throw away the keys!

Yeah, you do that. Oh, my, oh, my.

Such temper, that whole family.

That Jesse will..

- Well, the coast is clear. - It's clear.

Now, let's get cracking.

Rosco, you get on the phone and see

about my floating crap game, you know.

Coogan, come on, we'll go check out

the deliveries of my moonshine.

Then after that, you can get out and start giving out citations.

Well, Flash, Daddy's gonna be rich.

What do you think of that?

Deputy or no deputy, that Coogan fella and I

we're gonna have it out one day.

Probably gonna be right out here...

Just take it easy, Bo, we'll get rid of him.

- But we're gonna do it legal. - 'Hey, y'all.'

Hey, I was coming to spring you.

Listen, things are happening fast.

Boss has got his floating crap game floating again.

He's got his bookie joint operating

and that old still of his is running shine like water.

It's clear why Boss got rid of Enos and hired Coogan.

Yeah, so he could run this county wide open again.

Wide open for Boss.

The people ain't gonna sit still for that.

That's right. We can't let him get away.

The only way I can see is to pin something on Coogan.

Then we get Enos back as deputy and things go back to normal.

As normal as they ever are.

M-Maybe we'll get our bail money back.

Maybe we can get the General back too.

I hate to ask but could we borrow the pickup?

If we tail Coogan maybe we'll catch him

with his hand in the cookie jar.

- But... keys are in it. - Thanks a lot!

Listen, you boys, if, uh..

If they weld them doors shut, or..

Maybe I can find out something over in Cedar City.

- Can I use your phone? - Yes, sir.

Maybe they got something on this Coogan over there.

You know what we ought to do?

Is form a committee to get Enos back his job.

Great minds work alike.

- Let's do it. - Okay.

Now, this is gonna put some thick in the buttermilk.

That's Billie Joe's partner.

And his bad takes up where old Billie Joe's leaves off.

Won't that throw your hat in the creek?

'Why would that guy take off like that'

'in front of a Smokey?'

Well, this is Hazzard County, ain't it?

It is strange, though.

Okay, buddy, what do you think you're doing?

I'm sorry, officer, this accelerator got stuck.

That's what they all say. Let's have your license

and none of your lip.

- I got your call. What's doing? - I hit something big.

I got a look at Boss Hogg's secret ledger.

He skimmed over 150 grand in county funds

and stashed it in a hidden account.

You figured out a way we're gonna pry it loose from him?

Not yet. Hogg's a sticky-fingered as they come.

Think we can pull some kind of con game?

No, he wrote the book.

Maybe we can scare it out of him somehow.

How about a bomb threat? We used that one once.

Yeah. I can write a ransom note demanding that 150 grand..

Or we'll wreck this town.

And you... you can blow up something.

Give them a little example.

Great.

I'll run over to Greenville, see if I can

pick up some, uh, dynamite and stuff.

He's taking a long time to give

that fellow a ticket, ain't it?

You got that right.

And don't let me catch you speeding again.

Ma'am? Excuse me.

By the vehicle. I'm gonna have to cite you for jaywalking.

It's alright, honey. Just come on over here.

Get out of the street.

That Coogan fella sure has one busy pen, Luke.

Bo, I get the distinct feeling that Coogan and that guy

in the green car know each other.

You reckon they're cooking something up?

Let's tail him, see where he's headed.

Remember, this ain't the General Lee.

He's taking the road to Greenville.

We're never gonna catch up in this thing.

I got it to the floor now.

Come on.

- 'Bo, look out.' - Shoot.

Oh, shoot. Uncle Jesse ain't gonna be too happy with me.

The point is, we cannot tail Coogan without the General Lee.

Yeah, I guess we only got one choice.

We'll have to break him out of that impound yard.

That won't be too easy.

Clyde's the best guard, Boss ever hired over there.

Yeah, but Clyde is as hung up on Daisy as Enos is.

- Hey, yeah, you're right. - Let's give her a call.

And while Daisy decoys Clyde..

Then me and Bo can slip over the fence, see, and..

We'll figure some way to bust the General outta there.

While you're doing that, I'll run out

and haul in Uncle Jesse's pickup.

Sounds good.

I'm gonna stick around here

and wait for that phone call from Cedar City.

They'll get back to me on Billie Joe Coogan.

I'll tell you what, I'm gonna have some fun. Clyde's cute.

Well, let's get going. The General and Clyde are waiting.

- Okay. - Clyde's real cute.

- He is. - 'So are you.'

Meantime, Boss was out collecting his cut

of Hazzard's oldest floating crap game..

Which he started when he was in high school.

You see, Hazzard does have some tradition.

Well, I'd much rather count the moolah and let you drive.

And back in town, Coogan's partner

had returned from Greenville.

And was busy planting dynamite

that he was gonna set off as a warning.

And to get their attention, he picked Rosco's car.

Sheriff's office, Deputy Coogan, talking.

Our little bundle's been planted.

Okay. Stand by.

Now, you know that B.J. ain't too smart.

Why, there's a witness sitting right there.

Shut up, mutt!

'Okay.'

- 'Good luck, huh?' - Yeah. Thanks a lot.

'Hey, Clyde.'

- Hey, Daisy. - Hey.

- Got a problem? - I sure do.

Sounds like I got a clogged fuel pump or something.

- Sounds like something wrong. - 'Clyde, I'm late for work.'

'Could you take a look for me?'

Take a look. Look at it. Yes, sir.

Thank you.

- What's that? - What's what?

Oh, I just kicked a little pebble with my foot.

It must have been what you heard.

Yeah.

- Uh. - Maybe it's the carburetor.

Carburetor.

How the heck we gonna get him out of here?

'There's our escape route right there.'

- 'Do you mean up and over?' - 'You bet.'

'I tell you what, it's your lucky day.'

- 'You get to drive.' - Thanks a lot, I think.

Wait, it's your dang cousins!

- Hang on. - Right.

You reckon, them Dukes ever tried anything the easy way?

Yee-yaw!

Dang!

Alright. Nice going, General Lee.

Come back.

Hey, Clyde, Dixie's running just fine now, thank you.

Daisy, you was fibbing!

There wasn't nothing wrong with your Jeep!

No.

Sure is nice to have the team back together again.

Let's get back to the business of finding Coogan.

Yeah, and getting Enos' job back.

Now, we've already figured out that Boss fired Enos

so he could have Coogan come in help him with his rackets.

But what we gotta get some concrete evidence.

We figured that's gonna be right in Boss Hogg's office.

To give you a reason to get into the office

we figured, you could take Enos some lunch

and give us a high sign when it's clear.

Good idea. I'm on my way to the coffee shop.

- Let's do it. - Thanks a lot.

Let's head over to the park.

Boss and Rosco was returning from making the rounds of all

of their illegal operations, to find out the bad news

from the guard at the impound yard.

- Oh, no! - What?

Oh, you numbskull, you let the Dukes snooker you.

Listen, we don't get that car back, it's your job.

Don't worry, Boss, I'll round 'em up

and toss them back in the jug.

And there they're gonna stay, bail or no bail.

Come on, Rosco, we got work to do.

Don't growl at him, he's on our side.

Close the door, will you?'

I'm gonna stash the cash I just collected, here in the safe.

That's a good idea.

But don't you listen to these little clicks.

Oh, good grief, Boss.

I want you to get on the phone and find...

What?

Get on the phone with the still.

Find out how much cash flow is doing on all the shines.

And then, I want you to call the bookie...

Here's a note for you.

- Yeah? Good, read it. - Alright.

"We want that $150,000 of the county funds you're holding

or we'll blow up the town."

- What? - Wait a minute.

"Get the cash ready and wait for our call.

Signed, The Doomsday Gang."

Doomsday Gang? Blow up the town?

Anything wrong, sir?

Don't come in here and sneak up...

Scared the life out of me without knocking.

Yeah, something's wrong.

- Read this. - Yeah.

'Hey, Luke, he's right there.'

Ain't that, that fella we were tailing?

That's him, alright. He's back in town.

Back in Boss' office, things was heating up.

Listen, they're gonna blow up Hazzard and probably Flash.

- Yeah, but... - Let's use the county funds.

That's $150,000 in county money and it's my money.

That's because you skimmed it off the county.

Yeah, well, never mind about that.

Listen, who are these out-of-towners, anyway?

'I mean, trying to muscle in here.'

How did they find out how much cash I got stashed?

That's what I want to know.

This note sound like they mean business, Boss.

My advice is to pay.

No way, no pay.

Now you're being a fathead, listen, I'm not gonna stand

'for you blowing up Flash and Lulu and me and Hazzard.'

I'd sure like to know who he's talking to.

- J.D. Hogg here. - Say, hello from Rosco.

Make it snappy, because I...

- It's them. - Who?

- The Doomsday Gang. - 'Don't say hello from Rosco.'

- Did you get our note, Hogg? - Yeah, yeah. Sure, I got it.

Listen, let me tell you something.

You got your nerve threatening me.

Don't make 'em mad.

Oh, we ain't threatening, Hogg, we mean it.

You don't come up with that money, that'll be

the end of Hazzard.

What if I said, I didn't believe you?

I think you're bluffin'.

Oh, yeah?

Look out your window.

- Says look out the window. - Look out the window.

Holy smoke!

The old patrol car, blew it up to smithereens.

The Doomsday Gang, fella on the phone.

They really reached out and touched someone.

Hello?

- Hello, are you there? - What?

Oh, they hung up. Come on, we gotta get out there.

- Listen... - Wait a minute.

- How did this happen? - Wait a minute.

- For goodness sakes. - 'Wait a minute.'

'Let me out of here. Come on, come on!'

What happened?

Look out, look out.

Did anybody see who done it?

'Oh, look at my vehicle scuffed beyond recognition.'

I told you not to get 'em mad, Boss.

- Get who mad? - The Doomsday Gang.

That's the ones. You know what they did?

They called Boss and told him if he didn't give them $150,000

of county money that they were gonna blow up Hazzard.

That's enough.. Don't babble on like that.

The Doomsday Gang?

'They're gonna destroy the whole town?'

Right, and this is just a warning.

Looks at this, a detonating device. It was a bomb, alright.

Let me see that.

Rosco, hold it by the wire. Hold it by the wire.

J.D., you're the one that's been getting the phone calls

and everything. What's this all about?

Well, there ain't much to tell.

I mean, it's just a bunch of hoodlums

calling themselves the Doomsday Gang.

They send me a threatening note then made a phone call.

When did they call?

Just before the horrendous explosion.

That guy in the car was on a car phone just before the explosion.

Yeah, he sure as heck ain't here now.

Mr. Hogg, my advice is for you to pay 'em off.

You can't tell what they're gonna do next time.

Not on your life. I ain't paying out no $150,000 of my..

My county's money.

Since when does Hazzard County got a $150,000

in the treasury, Boss?

Yeah, I didn't know we had a $150,000

in the county treasury, Boss.

'We don't, we didn't, and we haven't.'

I don't know where them hoodlums got that ridiculous idea.

I mean, they're not car wreckers

they're rumormongers that's what they are.

It don't make no difference how much money the county's got

we're not knuckling under to these hooligans.

Wait a minute. Coogan, you was giving that guy

in the green sedan a speeding ticket, not long before this.

'That's right.'

You both better leave the law enforcement to me.

'Right now, I'm gonna arrest you'

'for breaking your car out of that impound yard.'

Now, wait a minute. Do that later this is an emergency.

I want you and Rosco to scour the area.

You know, find the Doomsday Gang.

- Alright. - Come on.

I'll get vehicle number two.

Well, we have had some problems in Hazzard before

we never had no Doomsday Gang, y'all.

Uncle Jesse, you think they're really gonna destroy

the whole town?

Well, they did a pretty good job on Rosco's patrol car.

If we only knew who the devil they was.

Listen, I'll go east, you go west, and we'll nail 'em.

Hot pursuit. Oh, I love it!

I just know that Coogan's involved in this.

See the way he was pushing Boss around to pay them the money?

This whole mess started once he got in town too.

Uncle Jesse, you haven't heard from Cedar City, have you?

No, I ain't heard a dang word. And I should've by now.

Listen, Cedar City ain't that far away.

I think I'll go there and build a fire under

that sheriff's department.

Well, I'll drive you, Uncle Jesse.

Enos, I got a little lunch for you.

Thank you, Daisy.

- Sure. - Appreciate that.

- Take it easy, Enos - Okay, Uncle Jesse.

We'll see what we can turn up around here.

I'll go get my truck and haul off this mess.

I sure wish, I was still deputy.

Don't worry, Enos, you will be.

Can't stand looking at you in that suit much longer.

Thank you, Bo.

- Eat your lunch. - Yeah.

Blowing up that patrol car didn't work.

We gotta show these hicks we really mean business.

How about we blow up something bigger, like a building?

I'm through fooling around.

Especially with them Duke boys getting nosy.

We gotta hit these farmers where they live.

How about a grain elevator or a cotton mill?

'Better yet, how about Hazzard Dam?'

Dang it, they're gonna ruin one fine fishing hole.

'Perfect. That's it.'

Them rubes don't pay us this time, we'll flood them out.

You mean, we're gonna blow it up?

It'll take a lot of dynamite to blow up that baby.

'We don't have to. You see them spillway turn valves?'

'A couple of turns and we got us a river'

'headed right towards Hazzard.'

That's beautiful.

- Sounds good to me. - See you all.

Clear this mess, Cooter. Looks terrible.

I sure would like to know how Coogan fits into all this.

Well, he didn't make that phone call because

he's in with Sheriff Rosco and Mr. Hogg.

He could have left the note, though.

We gotta look around for some clues around here.

I don't know where we're gonna start.

I sure would like to pin something on him.

- Look here, fellas. - 'What you got?'

That looks like the kind of paper

they wrap dynamite sticks in.

- Is that right? - What?

It's a shame the name tore off. Let's see, "Green.."

- "Greenv.." - Wait a minute.

When we chased the green sedan, we chased him to Greenville.

That's right and at Greenville they've got a place called

the Greenville Construction Company.

And they sell dynamite.

- Let's check it out. - Alright.

- You got a dime on you? - No, you got a dime?

- No, I've got two nickels. - That'll do.

I'm gonna leave Hogg another ransom note to hand over

that 150 grand. Or else..

I turn 'em valves and..

You got that right.

Thanks a lot.

Said, we just missed him.

Couple hours ago, fella with a green car bought

a whole bunch of dynamite.

It sounds like he's part of the Doomsday Gang.

'Hmm, I'll bet Coogan is too.'

Just wonderin' where they're gonna strike next.

That's up to Luke to figure out. And you better do it in a hurry.

'Well, there's our ticket. Coogan himself.'

Let's go check out that patrol car.

Come on, Enos.

Hey, Luke.

Hey, Luke, take a look.

He's marked the Hazzard dam.

'They blow that thing, every farmer in the whole county'

'is gonna be washed right out.'

Possum on a gum bush, we gotta stop them.

Don't panic, we don't know nothing for sure.

'Alright, here's what we do.'

We'll go check out the dam, you go work on your records again.

But every now and then take a peek and keep an eye on Coogan.

- Okay, Luke. - We'll see you later.

- Good luck to y'all. - Thanks, Enos.

Better try and reach Uncle Jesse

see how he's been doing.

- Good idea. - Lost Sheep to Shepherd.

'Lost Sheep to Shepherd. Come back.'

'There they are.'

This is Shepherd back to the Lost Sheep.

Shepherd back to the Lost Sheep.

We're on our way back from Cedar City

and been trying to call you.

- 'Where you been?' - Sorry about that, Uncle Jess.

We've been away from the General for a while.

- You have any luck? - 'Did we have luck.'

That sheriff's department in Cedar City

really come through.

It seems that that Billie Joe Coogan fella

he's done time for embezzlement and ext.. Ex..

Taking money from people that doesn't belong to him.

Well, that's the icing on the cake.

You reckon, Boss knew about that?

I don't know, but even if he did, I'll bet you

that Coogan's double-crossing him.

We better meet and talk this over.

You got it. Uncle Jesse, we got an earful for you too.

Where you at, what's your 10-20?

So the Dukes had a meeting to figure out what was happening

and what they was gonna do about it

and who was gonna do it and all.

Bo, Jesse and Daisy was gonna confront Boss, and old Luke

was gonna watch the dam, which tends to look

the same after a while.

'Bye.'

Rosco, I don't wanna take any more chances.

I'm gonna transfer all my skimmin'-and-scammin' money

into my bank vault for safekeeping.

Oh, that's a brilliant idea, that way when they blow us up

at least our money will be safe in the bank.

Would you quit flapping your lips and go watch the window.

I got Deputy Coogan on the front door.

I'm gonna count and see exactly how much I got here

after today's receipts.

Well, Flash and I will do what we're trained to do.

I'll look and she'll sniff.

Luke was trying to check out the dam from

the rise just above it.

'Wonder where he's at.'

He couldn't see much, so he moved in closer.

Uh-huh.

Alright, hold it right there. Now, don't turn around.

Yeah, Luke, that don't always work.

'Well, you know how upset they get when you fire 'em.'

We was right, you are one of 'em Doomsday Gang. Help!

Help, I got him, Mr. Hogg

Say, what's going on out here, Enos?

He's one of the Doomsday Gang, sir.

He was writing another ransom note. Coogan.

Huh, Coogan?

Okay, get them up or this gun goes off.

Now, wait a minute. Of all the dirty, low-down..

Alright, Coogilan. Listen.

I'm Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, and I'm ordering you

to put that gun down.

Shut up, the lot of you.

Now, I'm through fooling around, I want that 150 grand right now

'or the rest of my gang opens up the Hazzard Dam'

and your entire county's under 10 feet of water.

The dam?

That's what he said.

Well, first thing we're gonna do, we're gonna make J.D.

fire that Coogan fella.

And then we're gonna get Enos his deputy job back.

Right, and I'm gonna do just what I said earlier

I'm gonna get that fella.

- Hey, I'll help you. - Yeah, I bet you would.

It appears as if the Doomsday Gang has got everything

going their way.

- Alright, inside. - Now, wait a minute.

- Inside! - Alright, we're going!

You won't get away with this.

You double-crosser.

- Don't close that door. - Oh, it's just habit.

Listen here. Wait a minute, Coogan.

I didn't bring you here for this.

- My money! - Help!

Hey, there goes Coogan.

- He sure is leaving in a hurry. - We better check him out.

Water Boy, Water Boy. You out there? Come back.

Water Boy here, go ahead.

'I got the money, but I'm being chased, so take off.'

What about the dam?

Open her up and release the water, it'll cover our escape.

- 'And run for it. Over.' - Over.

No.

You can't do that.

Did you hear that?

Yeah, it's Coogan talking to his sidekick.

If they open up that dam it'll wash out

every farm in this valley.

I know it.

Luke's gonna be up there, let's just hope he can stop him.

Meanwhile, we're gonna get Coogan and teach him

a thing or two. I'm gonna enjoy this.

- Hang on. - Catch him.

Coogan, you alright?

Alright, you want to play by your rules, it's fine with me.

Get him, Bo.

Oh. Ah, that's the way.

- That was great. - Thanks.

Take him and cuff him to the door.

It'd be my pleasure.

Come on, Coogan. Let's get going.

Yeah, I'll get the stuff.

Luke's in trouble!

'Look at all that water pouring out.'

- I've gotta stop it. - Go get him, Bo.

Bo, Luke, hook the caps up. Get the valve!

Alright, now.. We was never gonna get here.

Uncle Jesse, the water's stopping.

Yeah.

Alright.

And so that's how the Dukes stopped the bad guys

from flooding out Hazzard.

Help! Somebody let us out of here. Anybody!

- I got claustrophobia. - Bring them right up here.

Boss was so upset that his greed

had almost got Hazzard wiped out

that he had to admit that honesty had its place at times.

And he gave Enos his job back as deputy.

Look at that. There. At least I can trust you.

And Uncle Jesse, after getting back his $500 bail, saw to it

that all of Boss' skimming money went into the official

county account. It will be used for the civic good.

Instead of lining Boss' pocket

until the next time.

This money belongs to the county.

The county's gonna get it.

We're going over to the bank of the county.

That's my money!

Listen, little fat buddy, don't worry. Listen.

And it was a good thing old Enos transferred from handling

them records 'cause he was one slow reader.

You know, what everybody really needs is some neighbors

like the Dukes.

That is, if your cars can take it.
