Welcome to finale night for survivor 48.

It's been a fun season of survivor... a lot of humor.

Been a competitive season.

Six different players won individual challenges.

It's also been an emotional season.

And that's really been the big theme this season,

is how those early relationships

that were formed between strangers

became deeply emotional and interconnected

and survived tribal after tribal after tribal.

Because, typically,

it's the discovery of a tight relationship

that gets you voted out.

This season, it's been the opposite.

It's not having one that got you voted out.

But as we saw at the last tribal council,

there is always a reckoning on survivor.

It was inevitable there would be blood,

because in order to win this game,

you got to get to four to have a shot,

you got to get to three to plead your case.

So there will be more blood tonight,

because there has to be.

And it will be personal, because it is.

All right, our final five:

Mitch, Kyle, kamilla, Joe and Eva.

They'll compete in two immunity challenges.

We'll have two tribal councils

and then one fire-making showdown.

Then the final three will get a chance to plead their case

about why they deserve the title of sole survivor

and the million dollars that goes along with it.

And then we will crown a winner of survivor 48

and immediately go into the after show.

It's a big night here in Fiji.

Let's get to it.

It's the finale of survivor 48.

This is it.

It's electric.

It's adrenaline, fear, anticipation.

And it's happening right now.

Previously on survivor...

All right, bear with me.

- Yeah. - But I think I have an idea.

Yeah.

This plan is absolutely wild.

We're gonna frame shauhin tonight.

Yes, yes, yes.

A move like this... it's a little harebrained, but

I think that we can pull it off.

I check in with kamilla. She was like,

"shauhin showed me the idol."

And he basically is claiming he has an idol?

Yeah.

Wow.

If we can pull this off, it'll be huge.

So is there any chance that this is bull...?

Who can we actually trust?

I'd be lying if I say

you don't feel a little bit paranoid every time

somebody breaks off

and has a one-on-one. The scary thing is

is do emotions cloud what's going on,

are emotions blinding you as to what's going on?

There's so many different things that can happen

with whoever you played with.

If you weren't paranoid enough, you'd go home.

If you're too paranoid, you go home.

Yeah, walking that fine line between paranoia and trust

with people who are great players.

You just got to come back

to the thing that got you here

those foundational relationships.

My plan was to send shauhin home, so...

The game of chicken between me and him is finally over.

It was a really tough move to pull off.

And it felt nice to put on my acting hat with kamilla.

We got away with a pretty good heist.

I set it up, and-and she dunked.

You know, it was an alley-oop.

That's a really tough one.

- Yeah. - That's a really tough one.

You guys have been there since day one with him.

Exactly.

I'm just... I'm glad we Bo... we made it through, though.

- Yeah. - That's... great work.

Appreciate you.

The most important part here is

we got Joe and Eva to vote out their number three.

But I wanted to come out of this vote

with the best possible working relationship

with Eva and Joe,

because now we're in a position where I have

all the options to get to the final four.

I think we made the right call to make sure that we can

- make it to that end together. - Right.

I do trust Kyle.

It's, like, you wonder, in the back of your brain,

"did we both just get duped

"by somebody that was working us," you know?

No.

I think that Kyle wants to be with you and me.

And that this next vote, we vote out kamilla.

It feels amazing to have made final five,

because I have an idol.

I'm for sure gonna be in the final four.

So that's an even better feeling.

But I want to make sure that my allies are safe, too.

So I want to look out for Joe and I want to look out for Kyle.

I can't believe he didn't go fact-check with shauhin

and be like, "hey, did you say this to kamilla?"

'Cause that's what he should have done.

Yeah. Thanks for

listening to my crazy-ass ideas, though.

No, it was a great idea. I loved it.

- We brainstorm well together. - Yeah.

That was a great idea.

Got to show off my acting skills again.

I didn't realize how good I am at lying.

Because this isn't

my first time lying to people straight to their face

to get them to, like, believe me.

And, like, every time, it work.

Joe believed my lies. Eva believed my lies.

And at tribal council, shauhin didn't feel scared at all.

So I do think I deserve an Emmy.

Nobody knows that we are, like,

working this closely together. It's crazy.

We are so good.

I am here to fully own every single lie I've told.

Because that's the way I came out to play this game.

But I'm not gonna say anything until final tribal council.

Look at that coming through.

- Yeah. - Ooh.

Day 24?

- Final five. - That's crazy.

Final five.

I'm so proud.

I'm so happy to make the final five.

I really didn't think I'd make it this far.

I'm proud for dads. I'm proud for older dudes.

I'm proud. I'm proud.

This is the fourth quarter.

It's like the game right before the super bowl,

and we're away, playing green bay.

It's cold, I'm tired, but you survive.

And you go, "okay."

"I got to strap on these pads now,

and now it's time to play."

Fun, fun, fun.

This morning, we look around

for tree mail, and there's no tree mail.

Instead, we see our names on these little podiums

and that puzzle lock.

We're like, "damn. The game begins."

"An advantage for today's challenge is up for grabs."

"Inside each of your puzzle locks is a key."

"The symbols around camp hold the clues"

"that will help you crack the code."

"First person to enter"

"the correct word into their puzzle lock"

"and retrieve their key earns the advantage."

"Good luck."

On the animal signs around cam,

there are clues to help us unlock our puzzle locks.

And then it says "go," and we all start sprinting off.

People run off to the symbols again.

And we realize there's something new on these symbols.

There's these little dots on each of the symbols.

And, immediately, I'm like, "okay. This corresponds

to letters of the alphabet."

There's obviously really high stakes here.

Winning immunity at this point of the game means

that you are guaranteed a shot in the final four,

which means that you

have a strong chance to at least make your case

at final tribal. That's everything.

I need this, because these next few tribal councils

are gonna get messy.

Hearts are going to be broken.

This game forces you to dig deep and be

mentally and emotionally resilient.

The Mitch who showed up on day one is nothing

compared to the Mitch who is sitting here on day 24.

And I'm excited to show what I have in the tank.

People don't think I have what it takes

to get the advantage.

But my strategy coming in was to, like, take advantage

of the fact that other people will underestimate me.

I have been lying to everyone

at every single point in this game

but I haven't been sent home yet.

It's gotten me pretty far.

You can lie and deceive.

You just can't get caught.

Frick.

Right now, I'm in such a tight group with people

who all think that I'm working with them.

It never hurts to ask question.

Closed mouths don't get fed, so.

"Mitch, what was that?" And thn

he hesitates for a second and then he tells you.

And then, next thing you know,

you got the letter that you need.

Yeah, what are you...

I-I have... there's two that are five, so those are e's.

Okay, you have two fives?

Or Eva, when I'm standing at the puzzle lock.

I-I got all the letters she has.

She just tells me there's another "e." And then,

next thing you know, I got all the letters.

So I know that there's an s, an r, two e's, a u and a c.

So, immediately, my mind goes to "rescue."

And I'm like, "I got it."

Click, click, click, click, click, click, pow.

Bam.

I thought I had it.

Let's run.

I've played a ton of scrabble with my mom

in my life. That's something that

we really bond and do together.

And so, I was just thinking, I was like, "come on, mom."

And rearranging 'em, rearranging 'em,

and then it clicked, and I was like, "secure."

That is definitely a survivor word.

That's got to be it.

Got it.

- What was it? - "Secure."

- "Secure." - yes!

I feel ecstatic.

I knew something good was gonna happen today.

"Congratulations. You were able to secure

an advantage in today's immunity challenge."

- That's it. - Good job, Eva.

I have had so many advantages in this game.

I have a hidden immunity idol.

I have a safety without power

that I let expire without using.

And now I have this final five

challenge advantage, too.

I feel on top of this upcoming challenge,

and I feel on top of this game.

Come on in.

How are you doing, sir?

- I'm doing great. - Good.

Day 24.

Survivor 48.

We're down to five.

We started with 18.

All right. Shall we get to it?

- Yeah. - Yes, sir.

All right. First things first, Joe.

For the fourth time... Thanks, Jeff.

I got to take it back.

Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.

For today's challenge,

you're gonna race up and over a steep ramp

and through a muddy net.

You'll then throw a ball at a target

and maneuver it through a long cage.

Once the ball is free, you'll toss it into a basket,

revealing numbers.

You'll use those numbers to retrieve a key.

You'll then race to the top of a steep ramp.

Use that key to unlock the pieces

to solve a survivor fire puzzle.

First person to finish... Wins immunity.

Guaranteed a spot in the final four, which means

you can't be voted out of this game.

At the very least, you're making fire for a shot

to get to the end.

In addition, you're playing for a reward.

where good things happen, for pasta.

Everything you've got up and over that ramp.

Now you're through the muddy net.

It's twisting.

You've got to turn to get through it.

Joe quickly working through the mud.

Kamilla struggling a bit.

I went the wrong way, didn't I?

It's Joe out first.

Start tossing that ball.

You got to get it through that target.

Joe misses.

Here comes Mitch.

Mitch with one toss.

It's now Mitch in the lead.

Joe right behind him.

It's Joe and Mitch, side by side,

working on those sandbags.

You got to get all those sandbags out, then your ball.

Kyle's through.

Eva very close.

Kyle trying to get the ball through the target.

- My god. - Kyle misses.

Eva's out now. Everybody but kamilla.

Do not stop, kamilla. Keep digging.

Figure this out.

Keep turning your body. That's how you untwist it.

Kyle's ball goes through.

Here goes Eva.

- Eva just misses. - Come on.

Joe at the end. He's got all his sandbags.

He's gonna start tossing them out now.

Mitch is right on his tail.

Joe's got all his sandbags.

Now he's going back for the ball.

Joe broke his down into pieces.

Mitch is doing it at the same time.

So is Kyle.

Here comes kamilla.

Dead last once again, but still fighting, as always.

It is Joe in the lead.

He's got to chase the ball down now.

Eva got a lot of mud in the eyes.

your thoughts in control.

It's a long challenge.

How difficult can a puzzle be?

Pretty difficult on day 24 of survivor,

when you're exhausted mentally, physically, emotionally.

So far, no pieces for anyone.

Kamilla has her key.

and guarantee her a spot in the final four.

That is the biggest comeback I've ever done in, like,

anything in my life.

I have my second individual immunity necklace,

which is crazy 'cause I didn't even think

I'd wear it once.

And so this one is for mom and dad.

Their baby's not getting voted out of this game.

Coming back from the challenge,

there was nothing we could do other than just I...

Just l-laugh about

how ridiculous all three of us looked.

At this point in the game, if I never see mud again,

it'll be too soon.

We're little kids in a kiddie pool trying to clean off

ten pounds of mud.

But at the end of the day, we earned this.

We earned the right to dive in that mud.

Tonight, Joe is vulnerable.

And for the first time, me and kamilla and Kyle

are on the right side of the numbers.

If all three of us put down his name, he goes hom.

Yeah.

We have to-to take the shot.

Mitch sells me that we need

to write down Joe's name, no matter what happens.

He thinks it's our only shot

to get the biggest threat out of this game.

Plus, in Mitch's mind, we have the numbers.

Do you think something might go down?

No.

I don't think anything will go down.

- Okay. - I don't.

I mean, obviously, Eva's gonna play her idol.

- Okay. - Like, you know, what else could happen?

'Cause we got three.

Yeah, 100%.

On the other hand, I have Joe.

And I think Joe's plan

all along has been to sort of send out Mitch.

He could get a lot of votes at the end of the game.

He has no blood on his hands.

And so Mitch is a very scary person to have in this game.

So you kind of have to weigh

Joe, who's a huge threat for a couple different reasons,

and Mitch, who's a huge threat for a couple different reasons.

And I really have to sort of sit with it and think.

I can't believe your parents would have said

that you wouldn't do well.

It's crazy because I'm at the last reward of this season.

And I'm wearing the immunity necklace.

I never expected that I would get there on my own.

Like, I won that challenge.

And I brought myself there.

And so it's an insane feeling,

knowing that no one has written my name this game

and no one will be able to write my name

until they vote for me at final tribal council.

Can't believe it.

- We're going to final four. - Yeah.

- Yeah. - The two girls left.

My god. Yeah.

Tonight's vote is super easy.

It's Mitch.

So I'm trusting that everyone is doing that.

And the thing is, if they're not, I'm not at risk.

I'm playing my idol. It's the last day to use it.

I'm so excited.

And it... like, it'll be so... we just... Mitch gone.

And then it'll be a really fun group.

Yeah.

This vote is huge.

And so I have a big decision to make tonight.

What's up, pasta ladies?

Wearing the immunity necklace,

you kind of feel like you can sort of dictate

where the vote's going.

So I feel like I have this power.

There are many reasons to take out Joe.

He is dominating this game.

He's dominating the challenges.

But, also, Mitch and Kyle are a threat to my jury votes,

because if people want to vote civa,

the votes are gonna get split between us.

And while I know that Kyle

is the biggest threat to my game,

I don't want to send Kyle home today

and then have me go home tomorrow

and have neither of us sitting at final tribal council.

Because I, for some reason,

have decided to play this game for the both of us.

And it's crazy

because I never thought I'd be playing the game this way.

I thought I could separate the logic from, like,

the heart and the emotion in this game.

And I can't.

I think, after that

massive move with all the lying yesterday,

I'm not concerned about Joe and Eva.

I'm not, either.

To me, it seems easy on Mitch, but I... you know,

I could have blind spots.

I think Mitch would be good

- because he will help us get jury votes. - Yeah.

- He's a jury vote for either of us. - Yeah.

Yeah, I think Mitch tonight.

Tonight is about getting me and Kyle

closer to that final three.

And the decision I'm making tonight guarantees that.

I feel like if I sit next to you at final three, you win.

- There's no... I, one... - I'm telling you.

Everybody loves you, Mitch.

Girl, out of what world everyone...

- Everyone loves you, Mitch. - There's no way.

I think that i-I'm the easiest person

out of the four of us to... To-to... To beat.

Kamilla tells me that she

doesn't want to sit next to me at final four, and

it's absolutely devastating.

Kamilla just told me she's not...

She's gonna vote me out tonight, so...

Yeah.

You know it's because we like you so much.

And I know that's terrible to hear.

I knew that at some point, I might go home.

It is true that, you know, it's out of mad respect, though.

But to be this close to the end and not get to pitch

why I deserve the million dollars is tough.

What are you feeling right now?

It just sucks.

But "you're just too likable."

Like, the wor... the wor

the worst reason to get voted out.

I can't... I know, bro. I kn-i know.

I should have made a move.

I just

thought I had y'all fooled a little bit.

Coming out here, I think the biggest fears I had was

that my stutter would hurt me out here,

that it would be challenging to build relationships

with people.

But I was able to overcome tha.

It just goes to show you that regardless of what

other people believe you're capable of doing,

none of that truly matters.

It just matters what you beliee you're able to do.

We'll now bring in the members of our jury.

Okay, let's start with today's immunity challenge.

Kamilla, you get your second individual immunity win.

It was not without a lot of effort.

You were dead last - getting to the puzzle.

Yeah,

and in that challenge today,

when I was stuck in that horrendous mud net,

there was this voice that was inside of me,

and it was just saying, "keep going, keep going, keep going."

And eventually, that voice got louder

than the voice that was telling me,

"you're gonna lose this."

And that got me the immunity win at the end of the day.

And hopefully, that'll show me

to drown out the bad voice inside my head

and listen more to, like, the positive voice.

All right, so, one of the themes

this season has been these big emotional bonds.

And yet, at a certain point,

as we saw in the last tribal council,

it starts becoming personal because it has to.

So, Kyle, what's it been like at camp

with only five people?

Things were definitely a little bit more direct today.

I think that people knew whose name we'd be writing down.

Everyone was honest and open with one another.

That doesn't mean that it's an easy vote

by any means whatsoever.

Who's the name?

I-It was Mitch.

Joe, you concur? Everybody talked about this?

Yeah, Jeff, we thought about

how much respect we have for each other,

and just thought instead of

play games or run around trying to cause deception,

just say, "hey, this is what's going down," and just

leaving it at that, almost as a way of just

trying to show the most respect as you can to a human.

Mitch, what's that like to experience?

Because it's very direct, can't be easy to hear.

It's heartbreaking.

I felt like I was in a good place

with people I trusted.

And whenever your two people

who you've been playing with this the whole time

look you in the face and say, like,

"I'm sorry, but I can't take you any farther,"

um... It sucks, but I get it.

Like, it's a game for a million dollars,

and both of these people have to do

what is the best move for them

to not only make it there,

but to have a shot at winning.

And I don't have, like, any regrets.

And, like, that's enough.

That's enough.

I had about this experience was blown out of the water.

I am so proud of myself.

I played a heck of a game, and you can't be too upset

about making it to day 24.

Final four, baby!

Yes! We did it!

We freakin' did it! I know.

I mean, I just can't believe I.

Making final four is just unreal.

And the crazy thing is,

what you have is two groups of two that have played

very different games.

On one hand, you have kamilla and myself,

a very undercover duo.

It's required a ton of deception,

and nobody knows that we're even close at all.

I'm super pumped about it.

Then you have Joe and Eva, a very, very public duo.

Everybody has known that they've been together

since, like, the beginning of this game.

So it's been two different stories,

and I think now they're coming together in a really cool way.

And honestly, I think any one of us could win this game.

Good. It's a beautiful sunrise.

Look at that.

Yup.

It's our last challenge. We've just got to have fun.

This last immunity challenge is huge

because I want the power to decide

who I sit next to in the final three.

If I win, I'm taking Joe,

which I'm sure a lot of people would think is a dumb decision.

He's my biggest competitor.

But we've been together since day one, and

I think I have a very unique story to tell

about my life and my role in this game.

So, I don't think that it will hurt me

by having him next to me.

- Here it comes. - There it is.

I know... not to get corny, but it has been, like, - yeah.

I'm gonna be honest with you, Kyle.

I think my best shot is

if we don't sit next to each other in final three.

This morning, I realie

I can't be sitting next to Kyle at final three.

Like, that will cost me this game.

We've made pretty much all of our moves together,

and I feel like

the votes are gonna get split between us.

So, if I win, I've decided to put Joe up against Kyle

at making fire,

because my best shot of winning a million dollars

is for Kyle to be on the jury.

I completely understand.

Me and kamilla have been together since day one,

and she's like a sister to me.

But we have played pretty much the exact same game.

So, I think going with Joe and Eva to the final three

is exactly what I need to do.

it's the biggest one of the season,

'cause if you win, you're going to the final thre,

and you decide who's going with you.

If I win, I'm absolutely picking Eva, period, end of story.

She's my number one.

But if not, I've tried to maneuver myself

to avoid making fire at all costs.

'Cause it could just be an off day.

So my goal is to win, but if Kyle wins,

honestly, I hope he picks me.

I think I might actually bring you.

That is what I want, like, looking you in the eye,

like, I swear on my life.

This is the most important challenge of the season,

and I-I got to pull it out.

I worked my ass off to get to this point,

so I don't want to screw it up.

This is it. Your final challenge.

How's that feel, Kyle?

I mean, it feels incredible.

I can't even... it's surreal.

This challenge... like, I've wanted

to do this ever since I saw the show.

I feel like a little kid right now,

just ready to go, but there's...

The stakes are so high. I don't know how to explain it.

How about you, kamilla?

When you see a classic challenge,

what does it stir up inside you as a survivor fan?

I mean, yeah, this is typically the final challenge,

and I know people are excited because it's a classic.

But for me, I'm just, like,

I wish I got to do the one they did in 46

that had a puzzle instead.

Like, this is a very scary challenge, because

if you're not on it for one split second,

or if you mess up your left and right,

which I constantly do, you're out.

It's so easy to drop in this challenge, and so

it's-it's really high stakes.

Just for fun, let's tell that with the new kamilla.

Frick.

You know what? Anyone can drop out.

If I think I can drop out at any moment,

so can any of these three.

And so I do have a chance at this.

I don't need to be that scared.

It's a scary challenge, but not just for me.

- It's scary for everyone here. - Sounds a lot better.

First things first, kamilla.

Got to take back the necklace for the second time.

Once again, for the last time,

immunity is back up for grabs.

As discussed, this is a survivor classic.

It's called simmotion. Here's how it works.

You're gonna have one hand tied behind your back.

On my go, you're gonna drop a ball down a chute.

It's gonna spiral to the botto.

You'll catch it, put it back I.

At regular intervals, we will add more balls,

making it more difficult.

If at any point, your ball drops

you're out.

Last person left standing wins immunity,

guarantees themselves a spot in the final three.

You will get a chance to plead your case to the jury

about why you deserve the title of sole survivor

and the million dollars that goes with it.

You also have a lot of power

because you decide who you put in that second seat

and you decide who you force to go earn

that third seat by making fire.

There is a lot at stake.

Everybody here has won an individual challenge.

Anybody here can win this challenge.

This is your warm-up period,

just one ball to kind of get used to the pacing,

how long it takes, get used to the idea

that it's gonna rotate when it drops once on the right,

then it'll be on the left.

Then it'll be back to the right.

So now it will come out on your left side.

Now it's gonna come out on your right side, so you're gonna

constantly be going left-right, left-right, left-right.

I'll give you warning when we're gonna add

that second ball.

Just start imagining where you'd want to drop it.

The spacing is critical in this challenge.

All right, you've got 15 seconds to drop a second ball.

Use all that time, use a little of that time.

So, I don't want her stepping on my toes

in that final tribal council.

And I need her to go.

I can't... I wish I could bring her, but I can't.

I have absolutely no idea what you could do.

And I... I think I'm not gonna make the mistake

of underestimating you.

Kyle and I both agree

that only one of us can sit at final three.

I-I know that for both of us,

doesn't make sense to sit next to each other.

So, here I am making fire at final four.

I'm very proud of myself that the reason I'm being put

to make fire is 'cause I'm a threat to someone's game.

This is, like, way further in the game

than I ever would have expecte.

I didn't even expect to win one individual immunity,

but I'm out here, I won two.

And so, if I pull out a fire win

against Eva, I still have a solid chance

at beating out Kyle and Joe, that final tribal council.

I was too slow. I grabbed the wrong edge of this.

This fire gets me

one step closer to winning that million dollars,

which will change my family's life.

There is still hope.

I know I can pull it out.

I can do this.

God.

I do not want to make fire at all.

Sure, I went in the backyard of my apartment

and made a fire every day leading up to this.

But that's nothing compared

to making a fire under pressur,

knowing that my game is on the line.

And I just keep trying and trying and trying.

And I can't do it.

And I just am getting more and more frustrated.

Just was building on all this pressure,

and just the intensity of

needing to do this and not being able to

and the frustration.

It was just, like, crushing me.

It's not... it's not wrong to put her in this position, is it?

I think we might need to go check on her.

I'm gonna bring her some husks.

When you-when you look at her,

like, think about what...

How she's doing and stuff like that.

Eva is having a really difficult time right now.

Um, I really heard her in pain in the jungle.

I know that there are more layers to...

To this than... than the game.

Eva is incredibly strong.

She has overcome things out here,

but it's hard to hear somebody

go through something like that

and to know that you have a part to play in it.

What I thought was going to be an easy decision

and what I... what I treated as an easy decision

is-is anything but that.

I think this is the... Most difficult

but important decision I will ever make in my entire life.

It might be time for me to step up

and take care of kamilla mysel, which I think I can do.

But again, people have underestimated kamilla

this entire game.

I haven't.

And because of that, it makes it even scarier

to go against her.

Yeah, this... This is... this is hard.

I-I'm not a coward, either, though,

and I'm not... And I'm not afraid

to put myself into fire if that's what needs to happen.

You okay?

It was devastating to see her that upset.

"I just kept saying," it's okay. Breathe.

It's okay. I'm here for you."

And then, immediately, I felt her start to calm down.

The harder I squeezed, the calmer she got.

And it made me feel like I needed to protect her.

No. No.

Joe, this is my thing. I have to do it.

I'm going to get it.

No. No, I'm gonna do it.

I'm gonna get it.

- I'm gonna do it. I know that I can. - Okay. Okay.

Joe is the most amazing human.

Like, he just is so selfless.

And he's like, "I will step in, I'll do the fire."

I say, "no. No way in hell

am I letting you build a fire instead of me."

This has to be me. I have to learn to do it mysel.

I have to do this.

Can I get a few things just to help you for a minute,

and then just sit with you for a minute while you try, please?

Yeah, but you can't do it.

I'm gonna do it. You can help me prepare.

My gut does not want to put her in a spot

where she can be hurt, but

the other side of that coin is she needs this

to prove to herself that she can do it

and show others that are similar to her

that she can do it.

So now it's time to get to work.

There are points where I got frustrated.

I'm like, "why is it not working?"

Is it my flint? Is it this?"

And I start blaming all these external things.

That is definitely the old kamilla.

The new kamilla was like,

"clearly I am doing something wrong."

"I need to figure out what am I doing wrong."

"This is what I was doing wrong? Great.

Don't do it anymore. Do the new thing."

And so, I was able to learn, thanks to the new kamilla.

This new side of me is, like, not letting my brain waste time

beating myself up.

Hopeful of so many things going my way tonight.

I know the steps,

I know what works, I know what doesn't.

I just got to remember it when I'm there.

that was for the little kid who's been dreaming about it

about what we talked about today, and it just

I just reflected on my journey here.

Like, I have fallen short,

quite literally, a lot of times in this game,

and I've had my victories.

I don't want to be over dramatic,

but this last one just felt great.

In this game, it's been a roller coaster

of emotions for me, but

to come out on top when I felt as if I'm so close

in so many of these challenges,

I mean, it just meant the world to me.

So you go back to the beach.

With that necklace, there has to be a little bit of relief.

There are no more challenges.

There's nothing left for you to do other than start

preparing for tomorrow night.

So, walk me through it. What happens

do people approach you or do you approach them?

I think I sort of kicked it off.

I kind of came in today knowing where my mind was,

and I-I wanted to give everyone the respect they deserved.

If I was somebody else on the other side of that position,

I would want to know that, "hey, I'm making fire tonight.

"Give me the chance to practice. Give me the chance

- "to do what I got to do." - Wow.

So, it sounds like you've made your decision,

but let's be official. Give me the layout.

Who are you bringing with you to the final three?

So, you know, from a strategy perspective,

or just thinking about the game,

um, you know, I-I promised Joe if we got to this position,

um, I would be bringing him to the end.

Um, ultimately, that-that is where my mind was

when it came to this decision.

Joe, congratulations.

- You got a seat at the final three. - Yeah, Jeff.

It's overwhelming.

Kyle was just a straight-up guy about it.

You know, just honest.

I felt it was heart-to-heart, and he's a man of his word.

But it's kind of crazy, Jeff.

So, Kyle, you're bringing Joe.

He gets the second seat.

Kamilla and Eva are gonna battle it out

in a fire-making showdown.

Kamilla, you're nodding like you knew that was coming.

Yeah. Me and Kyle

both know it's best for our games to not be sitting

next to each other at final tribal council.

And so, Kyle told me straight.

He's like, "hey, you're gonna be making fire."

So, Eva, how did it go today? Walk me through it.

Did you and kamilla both find a space and start practicing?

Um, yeah.

I prepared so much with the coconut and everything,

and I was just like, "okay, I've got this down.

"I can do it that way." And now, I thought

that we were gonna have coconuts and, just, like,

the same stuff that I was practicing with,

and now seeing that it's not makes me really scared.

- You got it, - you got it, it's the same. - Yeah.

- Yeah, that's true. I mean, I'll get it. - You got this.

- I can do it. - I practiced so much today.

- I'm good. I'm ready. - Yeah.

- I'm gonna get it. - All right.

Take your spots at your fire-making stations.

Decide which one you want.

- Yup. You can have purple. - Okay.

All right, I'm gonna give you both a minute

to settle in,

get your head focused, and then we will go.

Okay.

All right, we are ready for the survivor 48

fire-making showdown.

You each have the exact same kit.

Your job is to make a fire that burns hot enough

and high enough to burn through that rope

and raise your flag.

The first person to do it earns that third seat

and will face the jury tomorrow.

Out of the game, becomes

the eighth and final member of the jury.

Kamilla, you good?

- Yeah. - All right.

- Eva, you good? - Yup.

Let's begin.

It's on.

You need three things to make fire.

You need heat,

which you're gonna get from striking that flint

and getting a spark.

You need fuel, something to burn, which can

either be that hessian or it can be the magnesium

that you're both scraping right now.

And then once you get a flame, third element is oxygen.

Your fire needs to breathe.

Kamilla's first to try to get something going.

Got a lot of spark.

That's what you need. That's the heat.

Eva's now going for it,

trying to get something to catch.

My god. My leg is.

I'm shaking.

Eva's got a little bit of a flame.

She's gonna try to get it to catch

with more of that hessian.

The good news about the hessian:

It ignites quickly.

It burns away just as quickly.

I'm shaking.

- Why? - And that oxygen is key.

You can smother your fire.

But what Eva's doing really well is placing sticks

and trying to get them to catch

'cause they will burn longer.

Kamilla continues to try to get something going.

I can't even do this?

Trying to get in this.- ... I made this at camp, man.

Eva doing a really nice job to build her fire.

One stick at a time.

Keeping that fire going is key.

Got to let it breathe and nurture it slowly.

And it could be earning her a spot in the final three.

That flame's starting to touch that rope.

But she's not there yet, kamilla.

My hands are not working.

Everything is cramping. My legs are cramping.

Eva's got a nice fire.

That is a great base.

Potentially a million-dollar fire

you are making right now.

No flame at all for kamilla.

Eva's flame is growing now, more.

That is a solid flame right now.

The flame is right on that rope.

Kamilla, in the middle

of a million-dollar fire-making challenge,

is encouraging Eva to stay calm.

Eva now blowing it into place on that rope,

and it's working.

Kamilla has a bit of a flame.

Can she nurture it into something?

No, I can't.

Kamilla had a flame, but it's quickly gone.

Eva's flame is back and burning very high again.

That rope doesn't have a lot left.

but it was nothing like what happened today,

because I felt like I had no shot

of doing what I just did.

And Joe came and he helped me calm down,

and we got to work.

Having Joe and Kyle just keep telling me that I could,

and... and even kamilla giving me encouragement

when we're competitors.

I appreciate the hell out of it.

This was really, really, really hard, but I did it.

I'm so... I'm so proud of myself.

You should be, and you're in the final three

as a result.

Kamilla, what is the biggest personal takeaway?

Because you've been so open

about "I'm not good enough,"

and "I'm my most negative thinker."

But what I just witnessed tonight

was such a positive person.

In the middle of your own panic,

you still had enough compassion to look next door and say,

"Eva's struggling. Let me help her a little bit."

So what's the emotion about?

Your question was some... something

about my biggest personal takeaway,

and I've been very open about the confidence stuff.

And how I have this voice in my head that's always like,

"dude, you suck, you suck, you suck, you suck."

But then,

there is this other voice in my head that's been

becoming louder and louder and louder

as I've been playing survivor and as the days go on.

And it was just like, "you know what? Chill."

Like

I'm just glad that I had the chance to make fire

and I didn't get voted out.

No one wrote my name down.

Me having to sit in that position meant

that someone thought I was a threat to their game.

I never expected that.

So, even if I sucked at fire, I'm proud of the game I played.

And I had a blast playing.

but I think that the bonds in this season

run really deep.

I can't believe I didn't know you 26 days ago,

and now I can't imagine my life without you guys.

This story, this adventure... it's led all the way

up to this moment, and it's just time

to, like, see this thing through

all the way to the end.

But you never know what a jury's gonna do.

My motto coming into this game was "people first."

The reason I was able to dictate and finesse most of these votes

is because of the relationships that I built

at the beginning and throughout the entirety of this game.

It allowed me to see this game from an overhead view.

I had an idea, I had a pulse

on what everyone was thinking throughout the entire game,

and I think that matters.

If the jury doesn't know it ye,

then they have to know it tonight.

I was in control.

Kyle probably played the most strategic game out here.

He aligned himself with the right people

at the right time and was willing to turn on those people

when he absolutely had to and not a moment too early.

He has super deep connections with everyone.

He's a damn good liar, and he's a good strategist.

He can win.

He just needs to present his game clearly tonight,

because the rest of the jurors don't know his game.

He used relationships to his advantage.

He needs to own the cutthroat game

he truly played, and if not,

then I'm not voting for him.

This is our first reward together.

Yeah. This one is my favorite,

because I get to be here with both of you guys.

Heck yeah.

This season has shown me so many things

about myself that I never expected.

I went through some very intense mental times.

And I battled through that

in the most depriving situation I could possibly be in.

It's come at a great emotional toll,

but it's also brought me great friends, great happiness,

and it's brought me to the end.

So, if there's anything that I have contributed

to season 48, it is heart.

Eva has done something

that I've never really seen anybody do on survivor,

which is just wholeheartedly trust people.

Sometimes she wholeheartedly trusted the wrong people

who fed her lies, but I think that Eva

was incredibly courageous.

She was a physical beast, and she aligned herself

with people that had her best interest

at advancing in this game.

She might be one of the smartet people out here.

She just didn't show it.

Maybe she did things to lower her threat level.

And if she can reveal to the jury that

that was part of her game and own it,

she could win a million dollars tonight.

Well, I figured, while we're chilling,

there's something I haven't told you guys.

All the stuff I said about reffing is true.

I am a hockey ref, but that's my side hustle.

I didn't transfer from Georgia tech.

I graduated in only three years.

And I immediately went into my phd at brown,

where I'm getting my phd in engineering

and fluid and thermal science.

I'm a fellow at the national science foundation.

I do research for the Navy.

It's been so hard trying to talk about teaching

"with you and Mitch, when you guys are like,"

"you're becoming a teacher, too." And I was like,

"I picked that as a cover story

'cause I figured nobody was gonna know about teaching."

So, on that note.

I did teach for two years.

But afterwards, I went

to law school, and I've been a lawyer

- for the past four years. - You're a lawyer!

- My god. - So I did... I did do that.

What the hell?!

You're a lawyer and this one's a... basically a doctor?

- So, what-what are you? - What are you?

I'm just a... fire captain.

That's what I am.

When I came into this game, I said

I wanted to play an honorable, straight-up,

kind of this loyal, honest gam.

I truly believe that I have,

because I refuse to do certain things

that compromise the man I am.

You know, I wasn't willing

to just do things to build a résumé.

I wasn't willing to just stab somebody in the back

to shock and awe a potential juror

that might say, "wow, that's so impressive"

"that you were scandalous in that moment."

And to pull that off and make the final three

that feels really good.

Joe is a stand-up guy.

Strong competitor. I mean, challenges... wow.

Challenges are my favorite part of survivor.

I loved competing.

I have to give credit where credit is due,

and he was doing really well with the challenges, but

Joe broke a lot of promises.

He had me believe that we were gonna go to the end together.

Maybe that was foolish on my part

and great game play on his.

As long as he says that that was part

of his plan the whole time, he might get my vote today.

Joe is 45, and you would think

he's 20-something, the way he played this game.

His name was only written down, like, one time.

I think Joe deserves to win because

he took the game and dominated.

How are you guys feeling?

- I'm excited. - Same.

Tonight's gonna be a fight, dude.

A good fight.

I'm gonna battle like hell against Joe and Kyle.

And I want to win this money.

I want to win this thing. I want to be the sole survivor.

First of all, congratulations to the three of you.

Watching you guys do this has truly been an honor.

Each of us, I think, came in with either one

or several weaknesses.

What was that weakness that you played this game with

and how did you work to minimize

those weaknesses to further

propel your game to where you are right now?

- And Eva, we can start first with you. - Awesome.

I would like to first say

that I don't believe that this is a weakness,

but it does cause weaknesses in myself.

My autism is something that I carried into this game.

I get extremely overwhelmed and have these episodes,

which you all were able to witness.

So, I chose an ally that I felt I could trust

to never lie to me.

Additionally, if I just showed this openness

and truthfulness to others, it was often

reflected back at me in return.

And so, I appreciate all of you respecting me

and seeing me for who I am,

despite that there are these challenges that I face.

Joe, you go next.

Yeah. Honestly, a huge weakness of mine is

that I tend to wear my emotion on my sleeve.

And that's something that, coming into this game,

I was petrified of,

because it could give someone a false impression of me.

And how that changed for me is

instead of looking at that as a weakness,

I was really able to harness that

and turn that into empathy

and try to build strong alliances

that would help me navigate pivotal points in this game

and allow me to make strategic moves

at the appropriate time.

Yeah, I think a glaring weakness of mine,

coming into this game, was overconfidence.

Literally, on day one, I, volunteered for something

when I had a stuntman on my tribe.

I overestimated the challenge entirely.

Immediately after that, when I had a chance to earn it back,

I lost a head-to-head battle against a guy

who just dislocated his shoulder.

But I think that, in a way, that was a blessing,

because I had to pivot.

Socially, I knew I was going to have to play a more social game.

Strategically, I knew I was going to have to play

a more strategic game.

So my weakness is overconfidence.

I sometimes think it's my superpower,

but it forced me to pivot in this game multiple times.

- Thank you. - Mitch.

Okay, first of all, congratulations on making it

to this point in the game.

So, this season, a lot of the tribal council votes

were based on deep, meaningful, real relationships.

So how did you leverage these relationships to propel

your game forward?

Right. For me, I came into this game

not expecting the social game to be

so important to me.

And so, of course,

then I must bring myself to talking about Joe.

Within the first day of knowing Joe,

I knew that he was going to be

there for me through the game.

And that relationship was so strong

that when he saw me in a situation

that involved my autism,

he went across those tribal lines, and he helped me.

He didn't care about his game.

He cared about me as a person.

And I believe that we are one of the strongest duos

to ever exist in survivor history, 100%.

I think that you're dead-on,

that you created a social bond,

and you also insulated yourself with your social game,

which I do think surprises people

for someone who is neurodivergent,

- has autism, is on the spectrum. - Yeah.

I don't think that people saw that coming from you.

And I think it is very impressive in your game.

I didn't see it coming.

- For sure. - I have a question, though.

So, yous guys are tight, obviously.

But only one of you can win the million dollars.

So you got to go at each other.

Like, so is this the point where you betray each other?

Like, I don't understand the whole

"we're so tight. We're this."

But one of you's only getting the million.

I don't think we have to betray each other

- to say how our games - are different. - You do.

'Cause only one of yous can win.

But we are battling it out respectfully.

And I want to be clear to everybody.

I did not want to address that issue at all,

throughout this entire game.

And I thought, I'm not gonna leverage it against any of you.

I'm not gonna use it as, "we're this duo taking you out."

It's something that came up that I feel like I needed

to do, personally, outside of game play,

that I'm gonna to leave off to the side.

And if it got into this situation like we are right now,

I am not gonna take direct jabs at her,

but I am darn sure gonna try to win

for my own personal reasons and try

to win you on my game.

If she does a better job than me, then she wins.

want y'all to know that your families will be proud.

What I want to know is exactly what undercover moves,

possible betrayals or even secret moves

that we don't know that you did.

Tell me something to wow me because my mind is not made up,

and I honestly would like to know

what is it that we don't know?

Tell me something new.

Who do you want?

- I definitely want to start with you. - With me?

Okay. Awesome.

First off, something that everybody knows

is that I had a hidden immunity idol from star.

Thank you.

But what you guys didn't know that I had

is an advantage I never played.

I've been holding on to a safety without power

that I got from a secret advantage mission

in the middle of the night.

So, the move that I'm about to say I made with this

is actually no move, because to me,

it mattered more that I got my alliance through a vote

than just securing my safety for one more tribal.

So this is something I was holding on to,

and I never actually ended up playing it.

Kyle?

Um, I think that, you know, I don't mean to...

Let's just get it out all into the open.

One thing that I haven't shared with all of you

is that i-I've spent months of my life incarcerated.

Because of how I grew up, the people I grew up around,

I often tried to be overconfident

and show off socially,

and that landed me in jail a couple times,

because of nonviolent misdemeanors related to alcohol

and my social situations, um...

But I turned my life around.

I became a teacher, um

I then went to the university of Michigan for law school,

and I got a legal degree to go and help people

who were in situations like me.

So, yeah, I get down on myself and I get back up.

And that's how I've carried about in my life.

And that's exactly how I've moved forward in this game.

I have a question.

So, are you a teacher or a lawyer right now?

So, I am-i am currently a lawyer.

I've been a lawyer practicing in New York

- for the last four years. - Wow.

Wow. You just blew my mind.

You want your mind blown again?

Yes.

What do you guys think I do for a living?

You're not a student that plays hockey with boys?

I... So, I am a hockey official,

and I'm super proud of that, but my main career

I graduated in only three years with my bachelor's in physics,

Well, that kind of leads into the question

that I wanted to ask.

So, you guys have been sending people to the jury.

So, my question tonight:

What do you think is the jury's perception of you?

And are we wrong?

For me, I definitely knew that, coming into this,

a lot of you guys were going to believe that

I was just Joe's plus-one.

And I know we are the strongest duo in this game,

but I think you guys were underestimating

how big of a role I have in that duo.

I'd like to say that we were a collaboration,

and together we made our moves as one.

You can say what you wish,

but at the end of the day, they're just words.

We don't know if you're telling the truth right now.

I want clear examples that proves what you're saying.

Yeah. For sure. So, back to the shauhin vote, then.

We were given information that he had come up with a plan

to knock me out of the game.

So, I come to Joe, of course,

and I come with this logical perspective,

looking at what is shauhin's best interest in this game.

And to win this game, he needed to split Joe and I up.

And so Joe and I had talked this out together,

and, no, he hadn't made this move yet,

but we knew it was coming.

And so it was the time that we needed to address this issue.

So, just to push back on that a little bit,

my vote that night was not for you, Eva.

I voted for Mitch.

Your best move was absolutely to get rid of me,

because I thought my best move

was to sit next to you two at the final.

So, r-respect for the move.

I have no problem with the move,

but I never made the move to get rid of you.

Fair enough, but - yeah.

I think it is important that...

- Go ahead. - Yeah, go ahead, kamilla.

So, I just wanted to clarify.

You're saying that this is a strategic move

that you did, right?

- Getting him out? - Correct.

Kyle, can I have, um...

Your perspective on the shauhin vote

- and what went down? - Yeah.

So, shauhin felt me out during the loved one's visit,

and he brought up a plan

of potentially getting out Eva or Joe.

That's the truth.

But I couldn't tell if shauhin actually

wanted to carry out the plan

or if he was trying to get me caught up in a plan

to get me out of this game. That's the truth.

So, I wanted to make a move against shauhin,

and I leveraged the only thing I had in this game

that no one knew about,

which is my relationship with kamilla.

I worked with kamilla hand-in-hand

throughout the entirety of this game.

Ooh!

And I have to disagree with Eva and Joe

that they are the best duo in this game.

I think that they are the most public duo

and I think that they're a very strong duo, but I think

that kamilla and I were the best duo in this game.

I mean, I was doing a lot of stuff in the shadows

with kamilla. So, I told

Joe and I told Eva about shauhin's plan

to get them out, but I planted a lie in the story,

which is that shauhin had showed kamilla

that he found the idol on new vula.

And because no one knew that I was working with kamilla,

she told them that he did show kamilla the idol.

I had to make that lie

because I needed to have kamilla sitting in the final four.

And I also needed to show to everyone on the jury

that their perception was not the reality.

I do think the perception was that Joe was the muscle,

Eva was the heart, and shauhin was the brains.

And I took out the brains of this operation because I had to.

You would have figured out

that kamilla and I were working together,

and we would have never actually

been able to move forward in this game.

So, as soon as you gave me the bullet, I had to load it.

And, that's what I did.

They're the reason why I came here.

I wanted to compete and I wanted to win as many challenges

as I could.

Every single one of you

won an individual immunity challenge.

How did that help your game

and how did you use that necklace to your advantage?

Let's start with Joe.

So, I was fortunate enough to be put in a position

where not winning one, not winning two,

not winning three, but winning four.

So, how I simply used that was

when we had the strong alliance crew, I'm like, "well",

"I'm the one you want to keep, then, 'cause I'm gonna

keep banging out all these immunity challenges."

And then, there's Jeff saying, "hey,

you're one away from tying the record."

If I'm not gonna say right now

that that doesn't climb in somebody's head

when we're at the very end, it absolutely does.

And one last thing, if I could add to that,

you know, when people are 20 years younger than you,

15 years younger than you,

45 years old out here, and nine months ago,

complete reconstruction surgery of my acl, both meniscus

and was in a cast.

So, coming out here and doing that,

and trying to use it as intimidation,

was definitely a factor just to sprinkle that on top.

Kyle.

So, no one cared about me, physically, in this game.

The only thing that people commented about me physically

was that I had a bubble butt.

You know? I know I'm caked up.

I'm gonna have to call one of cedrek's friends

to get it fixed.

But, um, but when it mattered,

and the challenge that decided

who had the ability to sit here, guess who won? Me.

And, I am so glad that I got the chance

to compete against every single one of you.

I had fun.

Eva.

Well, to me, I had come into this game wanting to play

a super physical game, and I had these high hopes.

Like, we'd watched Maria, who was an old woman,

almost break the female record.

Hey, hey, hey, hey.

She is nowhere near as fit as you, Chrissy.

I have so much faith in you.

More than her.

And I loved that I was competing against people who were

better than me, so we could battle it out.

Yeah, you're huge.

Like, Joe and David were literal superheroes.

And to get up on that pole and compete against you guys

and beat you, I was like,

"not only can I run with the big dogs out here,

"but I am one of the big dogs.

I got to wear the collar."

So I had this positive attitude,

like, "I'm still a big dog 'cause I beat you guys."

All right, Joe, Eva, Kyle, I'll give you one last chance

to address them. Short and sweet.

Hit it hard. Make your case.

Um, I have joked to myself throughout this game

that I'm the best average guy that you'll ever meet.

I'm kind of athletic,

kind of funny, kind of good-looking.

- Um, and... - Kind of good looking. - Kind of?

Yeah, it's a humblebrag.

I think that this game gave me a chance

to show what a well-rounded person can do.

I won challenges.

I built relationships that matter a lot to me.

I-I played the game with those relationships.

Um, I rode the middle hard in this game.

And when people tried to sound the whistle

and push me out of it, I pushed them out,

and I rode the middle to the very end of this game.

Um, I caught a pretty yellow fish. I

I had-i had a lot of fun playing this game

because it allowed me to succeed in so many facets.

I ask you that you let me be the representative of this season

because I think a lot of you have played good games,

but I am so proud of the game that I played

and I thank you for letting me play it with you.

So, at the end of the day, I just hope that you realize,

like, when it comes to this game,

you know, being a 45-year-old dad,

coming into this game as viewed as a threat,

winning the most challenges,

make the relationships that I need to make,

only have my name written down once

and get yourself all the way to the end

with those massive targets on your back.

I would have been happy to vote for any of them,

but the reason I did Eva was because,

for me, I value someone who plays in a way

that is true to themselves.

And Eva did that through and through.

Eva also showed me that she was hell a strategic.

I was like, "she's a lot more intellectual

than she gives herself credit for."

Okay. No... She's getting her phd.

How about you, star? What was it about Eva's story?

Um, it was yesterday, actually,

for me, seeing Eva in fire.

She powered up. She came through.

She had her opponent saying, "girl, you got this."

- You can do this." - You killed it.

And that had me like, ""

I said, "you know what, girl?"

"You are very much getting this vote

because you wowed me."

Star, I'm gonna say, too,

you were a spark plug this season.

Yes.

You really were, because

you have such a great sense of humor

and you can sort of just sit back and make jokes,

but you were clearly very aware of what was going on,

- so congratulations to you. - Very much so. Thank you.

So, everybody else voted for Kyle.

Let me just see, though,

a show of hands, so we can see who all that was.

Kyle, when you look around and you see

those arms in the air, what's the feeling?

I mean, I-I can't even describe it, Jeff.

It means the world to me. Um... I mean, I

I'll come back to you.

I'll let this settle in, 'cause I realize it just happened.

- T-Thank you. - We're in real time right now.

You're trying to put a little pizza down.

- Yeah. Yeah. - So here's a question.

If kamilla's in that final three,

has she got a shot to win?

- She gets every vote here. - Yeah. She would've got...

- Yeah. - All across the board.

If kamilla was in that final three,

- kamilla wins the whole game. - Yeah. - For sure.

Kamilla represents everything that is survivor, period.

- Absolutely. - Yep.

How does that feel, kamilla?

Because it does seem like a win for Kyle is,

in some way, a victory for you as well.

Me and Kyle were very proud of our game,

and we wanted it to be represented at final three.

So if both of us made it to final four,

we were guaranteed

that one of us would take that winning game to final three.

And it wasn't me, it was Kyle.

I want to dive into these two different relationships,

starting with Kyle and kamilla.

You were playing, like, a spy game.

I mean, I witnessed, in the fourth episode,

some of the best acting I've ever seen on survivor,

when you played as though it was over,

which kept Thomas feeling safe.

And he didn't play his steal a vote that night.

- He had a steal a vote? - Steal a vote? Steal a vote?

- Steal a vote. - Okay. - Wow.

Good thing I gave you that... Gave you my extra vote.

- It was a great move. - Yeah, Jeff.

We were both moles.

And we were both playing this game on both sides,

collecting information.

And-and when we had two minutes in passing conversations,

because people sounded the alarm on us,

we'd say, "this, this, that. Boom, boom, bang."

And then we'd go our separate ways.

Maybe I'd get to talk to her once every other day.

We could, like, exchange, like, ten words,

and then know what the plan is.

All right, let's go to the other pair relationship,

Joe and Eva.

Yours was very public.

What's the downside of that?

You know, when you come into this game,

and someone presents something like that to you

out of the gate, you don't have time to think about

all the strategy and what you're gonna do next,

because I'm the type of person that...

That was a real situation.

And so I just made a decision

that, no matter what happens... no matter what

we're in this together.

And-and to be honest, why I am so rejoiceful now

is what no one can take away

is she gave me an opportunity,

in front of the world, to show who I really am.

To show who I really am.

Beautiful way to take that opportunity

- and frame it. - Cheers to that, Joe.

Shauhin, you're a great example

of you have to play survivor to win.

You can't play to not lose.

So, as you sit here now,

what's your feeling about your season?

Yeah, I came here to play an awesome game of survivor,

and I wanted to have a blast playing this game.

And part of my game play was to make it fun to play with me.

And part of the problem with that

is when it's fun to play with you,

people see that everybody's playing with you.

And when that happens, you become the threat.

And if I got taken out because of that,

then cool, I'm happy with that.

That's the game that I came to play.

And it's the way that I play every game

that I play in my life.

If you're gonna go, you might as well win.

You might as well try and win.

So, David, this is what I want to talk about with you.

- All right. - Milk, milk, milk.

Here's your first look at survivor 49.

Welcome back to the survivor 48

after show.

Well, once again, idols and advantages

- were a big part of this season. - Ooh. Ooh.

Eva, you had a knapsack

- of advantages this season. - I had so many.

You had so many, but the one

I'm most curious about is the night sneak.

Did you think about how you were gonna get out of camp?

Did you have an ally?

This was actually the one thing that I did by myself.

Um, I, like, waited

until I was hearing Mitch sleep-talking.

And...

And I was like, "okay, like, I'll get up, and I'll go

to a hammock when I get back."

Because then if people are like,

"where's Eva?" Then I could just be like, "I moved

- my sleeping spot." So... - Wait, i-I'm hearing

Joe and shauhin are saying, "no, this is not how it went down."

- Suddenly... - You knew I left?

Suddenly, shauhin sprints over to me.

He goes, "hey." Grabs my face and goes, - actually?

"Eva's gone."

I woke up in the middle of the night,

and I see this shadowy figure.

And I realize it's little ol' Eva.

I'm laying there asleep

and here comes shauhin, a bearded man,

standing over top of me.

And he's like, "shh."

And he whispers in my ear, "Eva's gone."

But I'm not worried at all.

Shh.

- So wait, shauhin. - So you're saying

you saw her sneak out, and... I told you the next day.

- I know. - First of all,

I did tell him in the moment,

I'm like, "chill. It's fine."

I just wanted to make sure that I knew what it was

before I told anyone I was gonna go do it.

Okay, star, walk me through... you... you know

- what I'm gonna ask you about. - I know what

you're about to ask me, and I'm waiting for it.

- Go ahead. - The beware advantage.

I didn't know it was the beware advantage.

Had I known, I still would have took it, but

I didn't know it was the beware advantage.

And then I opened it up, and I'm like, "a puzzle lock?

What is this?"

So now, at this point, I go to Joe,

"this is what I found."

Joe immediately goes, "yeah, I can't help you with that."

And so then I'm like,

- "shauhin, shauhin." - Hey. Got to be transparent.

"He's a professor. He knows. Go to the professor."

And yet, we literally thought the "v" was an "I."

Had we known the "v" was an "I," honestly,

there's nothing silent about me,

I still wouldn't have gotten the word.

- No. - But... The word was "silent."

- The word was "silent." - Right.

And I put everything but "silent."

Mary, you were on the bottom as well,

and it led to another big moment

involving advantages and idols,

when for only the second time

since the shot in the dark has been around, yes.

You played it, you got it, and it turns out you needed it.

So, Mary, what do you think's gonna happen tonight?

I think all the votes will be cast for me.

And then what happens next will,

I don't know, be a surprise. I don't want to ruin it.

Mary, you are

safe.

Yes.

When I went in there, and I was picking,

picking the scrolls, I closed my eyes.

I took my time.

I felt the energy.

- And sure enough... - And sure enough.

- Great move. - It saved my life.

All right, there's so much I want to talk about tonight.

But first, David, you were so funny tonight,

because even I was looking at the jury going...

"What is wrong with him?

"Get... get over it.

You got voted out."

I couldn't make it easy on you guys.

I wanted you to at least feel it a little bit,

because I felt it when I got voted out.

So, David, this is what I want to talk about with you.

Milk, milk, milk.

I heard there's a way you're supposed to drink milk.

So, Steven, we have-we have one of our esteemed...

My god.

Yes! No way!

Forget the champagne, baby!

I want to toss this out!

Look at these grown-ass men.

- My god. - Okay.

So, thank you, Steven.

What I heard, 'cause I'm not on the beach,

is that you don't just drink milk like this.

- No, no, no, no. - Yeah.

Where your elbow is is inherently tied

to your masculinity or femininity, right?

- Whoa. - It's true.

So, you're 90 degrees, like, perfectly masculine,

and down here is perfectly feminine.-.

So, usually, you know, again, 45-degree angle.

You're telling me I've been drinking milk wrong

- my whole life. - Absolutely.

Like, like, take a drink, naturally. What do you

All right, so, Eva, let's talk about you.

You were amazing this season.

It wasn't because you have autism.

It was because you let us witness you fight through it.

And in doing so, will these experiences

help you manage it better?

Yeah, it definitely is,

and it-it was a lot coming out here,

and I got so lucky to have Joe,

who was willing to be there by my side and be support.

And further than that, every single person

was nothing but supportive of me.

And I was willing to fight for myself

and come back from being at the lowest possible point

in this game. So, I am proud that I did that.

I am proud to show what autism is like for me.

And it's different for everyone who has autism.

Right.

But I think that this will change the way

that many people who are on the spectrum,

the parents of people on the spectrum,

think about autism.

Well said.

- Yeah. - Definitely.

Kamilla, one of the things

that happened out here with you

is you were also very open about negative thinking.

Is that gonna make a Mark for you?

Will it change?

One hundred percent.

Like, part of me playing this game,

I realized like, "wow, this negative thinking is horrible."

But, also, I realized

when other people say negative things about me, it fuels me.

Wow. And so I'm excited to see how it

grows beyond survivor.

Love that.

Mitch, I think you're gonna have a lot of people going,

"wow, the guy can play the game. He's one

of my favorite survivor players."

So as you sit here now,

what's your feeling about your season?

The biggest thing that I wanted to show

was that regardless of what your struggles

or obstacles may be, you have to be comfortable

being uncomfortable.

Is this gonna change your life at all when you go home?

I think, like, walking away

from this experience being like,

"hey, like, I am more than capable of, like,

"going out and building " genuine relationships

with complete strangers."

So are we talking, like, dating?

Hey, who knows?

- Yes. - Yes!

- You're single... - Ready to mingle.

- And ready to mingle. - Yes, sir.

Yes, sir.

All right, I want to pop around with some questions,

just to see what you all think about each other. Kyle,

of the group, who's gonna be the most likely

to really engage with that passionate survivor fan

that wants to tell you how much you suck?

I think it's gonna be shauhin.

- Shauhin. - You know what?

The ones that don't think I'm great, I can ignore.

I have so much ego that it's just like, "whatever.

Shut up. You come out here and do it."

But I'll probably engage with the ones that don't think

- they're great. - Yeah.

That's the ones that I'll go after.

Joe, who's most likely to throw

the first group survivor party?

- Joe. - Mitch.

- Mitch. - Mitch.

Mitch is humble, but let me tell you,

that is a wild badger underneath that,

under those jorts.

- Dude, he throws down. - We know it.

So this was not a slam dunk you were gonna win,

but you pulled it out.

- Yeah. - What's the feeling now?

It's incredible.

I mean, this game has pushed me to my limits

every single day, but it's exactly what I wanted.

You know, Mitch said it best.

This game makes you uncomfortable,

and I can't tell you how great uncomfortable feels.

I am so happy to represent this season.

I just can't thank you all enough.

This game is the frickin' best.

Survi vor feels like a culmination of my entire lif.

Everything has led me to this moment.

Being a journalist is freakin' cutthroat.

I can easily pulverize all of these suckers.

I kind of want to play this game like it's a mermaid.

You know, lure people in with my words.

And before they know it

they're drowning.

My name is Rizzo, but

I go by the man, the myth, the legend.

R-i-z-g-o-d. Rizgod, baby.

It was not hard leaving my family at home.

As a mother of a five

and a four-year-old, this is vacation.

I work on capitol hill,

and I think that has prepared me for survivor,

because one of my favorite pastimes is kissing butt.

As a law enforcement officer, I run to the chaos.

And survivor is chaos.

My parents laughed at my face

when I applied to be on survivor, but...

Surprise, I'm on survivor!

I feel like this is when survivor

turns into a horror movie.

They're going one by one by one back home.

Survivor 49 will be in the fall.
