We have imprints from Two different pairs of shoes. One is a boot.

The other is most likely A common running shoe,

And the contusion To the hand shows that best.

There's another type of wound With lacerations that suggest A weapon--

Maybe a pipe, Maybe a stick-- Who knows?

Those wounds are all over--

The upper chest, The back, the arms, the legs.

The most extensive bruising Is associated with the kicking.

Over a period of time While the body is alive,

Bruises color progressively From red to purple to yellow.

You can see red and purple Around the kicking wounds.

Those would have taken Several hours after impact To develop.

- so the bruising only develops When the person's still alive? - both: right.

So those wounds were closer To the time of death.

So we're looking at him Being alive for several hours

- before these blows Here were administered. - that seems to be the story.

Now, if you take a look At the bruising on the wrists,

Where it's red, you can see A pattern of ligature.

He was tied up?

I think so. That may explain The wrist fracture.

So the timeline sounds like He was kicked, he was tied up,

And then he's beaten With a weapon.

- two different kind of shoes, Two different beatings. - that suggests two assailants.

Whether two assailants Were both active

In the beating With the weapon, Can't be concluded

From what we've seen so far, But take a look at the head.

There's an impression Of what appears to be A boot heel.

You can almost see The manufacturer's logo.

The impression's fairly deep. Obviously, it was A powerful blow.

Notice there's no bruising Around the heel imprint.

That would imply it occurred Closer to the time of death.

We think This was the fatal blow,

But we'll know more After we open him.

They applied The first beating.

Then after that, They tie him up.

Now they beat him With a weapon,

And then one assailant Kicks him in the head,

And that's The fatal stomp, maybe.
