Mukil was not interested in the human form of Kunjambu.

She was lusting after the goddess that he was.

That evening, while performing Theyyam (ritual),

Kunjambu had to face... the wrath of Kulashekeran.

And that came in the form of a serpent worshipper

Kunjambu lost his life in an in-between metaphysical state... where he was neither goddess nor human.

From that day onwards, mysterious things started happening in Brahmagiri.

These stories reached the local kingdom.

So, the king stepped in to stop these mysterious happenings.

He took the help of a legendary Perumalayan (Divine Oracle).

The Perumalayan trapped Kunjambu's spirit and... locked it in forever inside the same sacred cove.

The king then cut off the Brahmagiri region completely.

To avoid any trespassing, he ordered the local river to be rerouted around the sacred cove.

No animals venture into this region,

birds don't even fly above this region.

Tribals believe in this till today.

Decades later

the land where Kulashekeran's house stood,

a bungalow was built by the British

But they left the sacred cove as it is, maybe due to fear or respect...

And it is in the same bungalow, this reality TV show tragedy has happened.
