that now is in the majority.

With Kyle, shauhin, Joe and myself,

it should be pretty cut-and-dry.

We just pick off the other members.

situation, meaning the alliance

that I'm a part of, because

if the four stays strong, even if

Mitch or kamilla wins immunity,

the other one would go home.

Today is a huge day for me.

Each letter was so powerful.

But my son writes in the
letter... Dude, look at that.

I want to give you a hug."

Says... "You're the

bravest dad ever."

He wrote, "bravest dad ever."

And then he said,
"believe in yourself, dad."

And... he's ten.

It is hard to believe in yourself out here.

And then, you know,

your ten-year-old son has
the wisdom to tell you that.

It's pretty awesome.

My dad said, "you make me
so proud in so many ways."

"I can't promise to be here
" for the rest of your life,

"but I can promise that I will love you,

"believe in you,

and be proud of you for the rest of mine."

I've never heard him...
Say anything close to that

my entire life.

Yeah, dude.

Never have I heard him
say anything like that.

That's a blessing, real.

So, today's a big day for me.

I lost my sister to domestic violence,

and it was pretty brutal,
the way she passed. And

my last night, before she passed,

we fought on the phone. And

I've been struggling with that
since she's been gone now

for a while.

We fought

that night, and I never
talked to her again.

And it's just hard to explain that weight.

We always say

we love each other when
we get off the phone, but

we didn't that night.

And then... I never
heard her voice again.

I never saw her again.

And so... Living with that
has been very difficult.

Think I'm gonna just lay
in a Sandy spot out there.

Like, in what world...

the most competitive person here?

Like, we're... He... I'm, like, frustrated

with how things are going at this game.

It was like, "all right, if we get to six",

"like, we can make moves.

"We can make sure that we're in control,

that we fuel the right people."

But the move shauhin
made didn't make sense

from a competitive standpoint.

It's stupid. Like...

I'm playing this game with
a bunch of knuckleheads.

Mitch is, like,

super frustrated with
shauhin at this point

for handing Joe a million dollars,

because you are feeding the enemy.

We need Joe to not win immunity.

It's like, "dude, if you wanted

to vote him off tomorrow,

By choosing to fuel Joe,

shauhin might have sealed his fate.

So I feel like if Joe wins
immunity, shauhin can go.

It felt like all my boys
went out on the town,

a banger of a night, and
left me home with my parents.

I'm sitting home with two,

like, adults that want
to, like, watch the news.

But I hope that they do think of me

when they're there and maybe, like,

I've been spooked of shauhin

ever since he went through my bag

and lied to my face on new
vula, so, I realized shauhin

is now starting to sort of
make his play, and I think

that he needs me to be a part of that.

And it's like the game of chicken

between me and him, because

it truly does come down to
who might make the move first.

To me, I feel as if both of
us still have a chance to win.

But, like, I'm now in a place

- where I'm also thinking about the game.

to not think about the game.

You don't read your family letters and go,

"yeah, let me just give it to Joe."

Like, you want to take Joe out at fire?

Is that what I try and do?

The reward of getting Joe out

is that, probably, we're the front-runners.

- And then what does he do?

The only real play at
six is getting rid of Eva.

Thankfully, shauhin helps me out

by proposing to me betraying
the other people on our alliance.

Now I think he's actually ready

to make a move against Joe or Eva.

We get rid of Eva at six.

Eva goes home with
the idol in her pocket.

And really only the two of us know

- that we're working together.
- Right.

So that would have to be a secret.

I mean, it would... it would
be the ultimate trust play.

You would have to trust me...

Burn me.

I want to make a move,

but I don't want to make shauhin's move.

And whether this
conversation is real or not,

it gives me every single bit of

moral go-ahead to play
the game the way I want to.

That, I think, is our best play.

And... 'cause Eva wouldn't play the idol

because she wouldn't
know that it's coming.

The game of chicken is over,

but I do have to beat him to the punch.

And it just so happens that
he's my punch line. He has

to be my target, and I have to figure out

a way to paint the
perfect target on his back.

I was able to get full
and get a clear head, but

I couldn't sleep that much
because I was thinking

about all the things
that needed to get done.

We all do our
pleasantries, but then I know

it's kind of time to get to business.

Kamilla.

Hey.

So I need to talk to kamilla.

The best leverage I have in this game

is that no one knows

that kamilla and I are
working the room together.

And we've really been trying

to workshop ideas on how we both can

get to the end, how one of
us can get to the end, and

most importantly, how one of
us can get to the end and win.

- All right, bear with me.
- Yeah.

- But I think I have an idea...
- Yeah.

That can get us both final four

and one of us guaranteed final three.

- What?
- It's a move. I-I swear it's a move.

Okay, so, what are our goals, right?

We need to undermine
Joe's game somehow

so that one of us can win.

So, shauhin is ready to flip.

He's ready.

Like, I can't tell

if he's trying to fake me out or not,

- yeah.
- But he brought it up.

So, what if I tell Joe, shauhin said

that his plan is to take Eva out?

Yeah.

I'm trying to figure out
a way for kamilla and I

to guarantee ourselves to the final four.

And the only way that
I could think to do it

is to actually get rid
of shauhin, but to do it

without blood on kamilla and I's hands.

To the contrary,

I actually need it to
look like kamilla and I

saved Joe and Eva by
saying that shauhin's trying

to flip and you're the target.

So, what about this move, okay?

What if we leveraged
our secret relationship

and I went to Joe and I said this:

"Shauhin showed kamilla
that he found the idol."

Yeah.

This plan is absolutely wild.

Kyle is going to start a little rumor

that involves me.

And I'm gonna say that
shauhin wanted to make a move,

and he showed me he had this idol.

A move like this... it's complicated,

harebrained, but I think
that we can pull it off.

The beauty of this plan, kamilla,

is that Joe and Eva are
gonna be indebted to us.

- Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- Exactly.

- In the...
- Good job, man.

Good... job, man.

And I'm like, "damn, Kyle is smart."

Like, I couldn't have even
thought of something like that.

Like, that is an amazing plan, and I think

through it. I'm like, "this
actually could work."

- We just have to do our acting.

- And we're good at it.

This is gonna be a very hard sell.

Kamilla and I have had to act together

a lot through this game, but to me,

this kind of seems like our
final act that we need to do.

The same narrative that Mary
and star had been telling me

is that Joe's in control,

Joe's been in control this entire game.

But like, we can just
undermine that narrative

and say, "no, listen,
we've been the brains"

"behind the entire
operation the entire time."

Yeah.

- "We even got Joe to eat - shauhin."
- Yeah.

This plan is, like, super risky.

But if we can pull off this move,

we can take out one of the
bigger threats in this game.

Coming into this game,
my motivation was my sister.

She's the one that wanted to be here.

She's the one that saw
it from the first episode.

That's why I applied.

I wanted to be Joanna's voice.

And so, I needed some closure to try to

hopefully help start some healing.

The night before you passed,

I said some things I didn't mean.

And I never spoke to you again.

Passed that morning.

And, I feel closer out here to you.

For today's challenge, you're gonna toss

a sandbag to release a rope.

You'll then use that rope
for balance as you walk

on a barrel and make
your way down the course.

You'll then crawl under a net

and retrieve a bag of balls.
Once you reach the finish,

you must maneuver both those balls

through a winding snake track.

First person to finish wins immunity.

With the immunity necklace,

it means you're safe tonight at tribal.

That means you're
guaranteed a spot in five.

That means you will make
the finale of survivor48.

Losers, different story.

Tribal council, where somebody will be

the 13th person voted out,

become the sixth member of our jury.

and kamilla and I are already prepped.

of figured out our roles.

The first person

that I need to talk to and the first step

of this plan is, I need to get to Joe.

But shauhin's the guy that Joe's been

working with since day one.

And Joe having the necklace
makes it all the harder,

because Joe, when he
doesn't have the necklace,

has shown to be not cool-head Joe.

So, it makes my plan
to blindside shauhin

even harder to sell because I needed Joe

sort of in a little bit of a tizzy.

But regardless, it's now or never.

It just requires a
little bit more creativity

from kamilla and I.

Okay.

You got to roll up your
sleeves and go to work. I always

have my sleeves rolled just in case

I got to do a little dirty work.

"We should make a move, right?

"Like, you and me are
in the middle of all this,

"if you really think about it,

"'cause you got Mitch and kamilla,

and you got Joe and Eva. They're tight."

And he's like, "if Joe doesn't win

He was, like, check in with kamilla.

So, I check in with kamilla.

And this is where it gets
a little interesting, bro.

Basically, she was like,
"shauhin showed me the idol."

The truth is that shauhin actually

is thinking about
flipping. The flat-out lie is

that kamilla saw shauhin with an idol.

I need to see Joe's
paranoia come out a little bit,

because if he is scared of an idol,

he won't go to shauhin
to confront him about this.

So, Kyle just approached me.

He tells me that shauhin has flipped.

He pitched to Kyle, like,

to split us up, and
they were gonna get us.

And that they were gonna
devise a plan tonight,

if one of us didn't win, to get us tonight.

Okay? Allegedly.

Come to find out, kamilla
tells Kyle he got an idol

and showed her the idol.
That shauhin actually...

That shauhin actually has
had the idol this whole time?

That's allegedly what kamilla
said she saw with her own eye.

Hearing that shauhin was flipping on us

felt like a punch in the gut.

I've been working with
him for a very long time.

But he's smart enough to realize

if he sits next to me
and Joe, he's not winning.

So we got to figure out who's lying to us.

Who do we trust?

Is Kyle lying to us? Is shauhin flipped?

Is kamilla making all this... up?

I mean, this literally is brilliant

'cause it could be anybody.

- I don't think this is it.
- I get a

I get a better vibe, honestly,
from Kyle than shauhin.

I do, but I don't know.

He could be... us all together.

- Yeah.
- I'm talking to kamilla next.

- Yeah. Yeah.
- Cool? All right.

I could very well be played here,

but, it's just, in my gut,
I feel I can trust Kyle.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes, please.

When Joe pulls me aside, I'm like,

"all right, it's my turn to-to lie."

- So Kyle shared with me.
- Yeah.

- It was gonna be me or Eva.
- Yeah.

- And was that put in play by shauhin?
- Yes.

- Now, my...
- He came up, and he's like, "don't worry."

- And he opened his bag.
- Okay.

And he showed me beads.

And he basically is
claiming he has an idol?

- Yeah.
- Wow.

I don't know now.

And that was straight
from shauhin's mouth?

Wow.

So I corroborate Kyle's story with Joe.

I tell him all of the lies,
and Joe seems to buy it.

Okay.

I will throw shauhin
completely under the bus.

My favorite thing to do on
survivor is just pick a person,

don't give them any heads
up, run them over with a bus,

back up, run them over again.

That's just what I've been
doing out here, and it's fun.

- So the thing is...
- He's... and this whole time,

he's never showed me
an idol the whole time.

- I-I...
- Not once.

- The thing is, I have been...
- He physically showed you?

Yes, and it did not... It was... it...

So this is scary to pull off because

if Joe goes back to

it's very likely that I'll get caught

in all these lies, and I might be

the person going home tonight.

I felt like, this morning,
there was a very simple plan.

We got to make sure we
have all information out.

Are there any other things in play?

Like, idols, advantages? No.

If we vote four strong, we get Mitch.

There's nothing they can do.

I have a conversation with shauhin,

and I straight went dad mode.

And that's where you believe
now, based on the facts,

there's a possibility

your kids put their
hands in the cookie jar.

I'm trying to... Process reality right now.

It felt like I was being put on time-out.

He just got, like,

walking around like this the whole time.

He, like, gets upset and is, like, moping.

Give me a break.

That really bothered me,

the way that Joe just talked to me.

And he was like, "I'm not
saying anything. I'm not..."

But then he's, like...

He's pretending like
he's about to vote me out.

Like, that's the vibe I got at
the end of that conversation.

He is not going to vote you out, bro.

This is my nightmare.

It's a very meta sort of

inception like experience where I know

that I'm trying to flip on shauhin

and get him out of this game.

And to do so, I have

to talk through all of
the options with him.

Like, it makes me want to go after Eva.

She's, like, not a threat to win this game,

and she's a guaranteed
Joe Stan on the jury.

- So the right play is...

If we take out Mitch tonight,

This does remind me a
little bit of the new vula days

when kamilla and I kind of had
to put on a show for everybody.

But the hope is that we pull
off this plan to blindside shauhin

and that kamilla and I are
rock-solid undercover still.

That's something that I
don't want to be revealed

until the very end of this game.

And you basically said it's

to be the case today?

Because, um, I'm trying to remind myself

that this is just a game.

It, like, hasn't

played out exactly how
I wanted it to, but, like,

you just hope and pray
that it isn't you going home.

Eva, was today more
difficult for you in terms

of deciding who you're going to vote out?

I mean, honestly, for me,
I really just turned back

to the people that I
have built this trust with.

I feel really good about the relationships

I've built, and I did not expect
that at all coming out here.

And I thought I'd be taken advantage of

for being too trusting

and for not recognizing
people lying to me.

But I've found that the reverse is true,

is that by showing so
much trust for other people,

they've kind of returned that trust to me.

So I'm sticking with it.

Kyle, how about for you?

Yeah, I mean, the emotional element

has been consistent
throughout this entire game.

I think what's more difficult is,

there's sort of less places to hide.

And, maybe that inserts another element

of, like, paranoia or whatever it may be.

But the fact that we've been so personal,

I think, is what makes it really hard.

So, kamilla, what did you
do today to try to make sure

it's not you tonight?

I mean, I went back to the group

that's always been letting me in.

And I was like, "hey,
I've been true to you"

"however many votes
it's been since the merge.

Keep me around."

And I try not to show,
like, the paranoia or panic.

And I feel like I haven't
really been chaotic,

been, like, pretty level-headed
in my discussions with people.

I've, like, explained, like, my logic

to try and build that trust.

And I'm hoping that I'm writing
the right name down tonight.

Shauhin, when you
imagine being on survivor,

and you run through all the scenarios,

"I might have this strategy.
Maybe I'll look for an idol.

"Maybe I won't," you don't anticipate

this deep emotional connection

that you're gonna make
with people that you then have

- to lie to - to vote them out.
- Yeah, it's funny

because the rhetoric you used

"before you come out here"... is

"I'm down to cut throats
and do this and do that."

And then when you get out here,

the way you talk about
survivor has to change.

Because if that was your strategy,

you're just not gonna
last very long in this game.

And things can change in an instant.

And that's not something
that you can think of at home.

You don't think of the
personal connections,

and you don't think how
fast things change out here.

Kyle, how much talk is there

about idols and advantages?

And how much concern is there?

- I think it's always out there.
- Kind of like

the bogeyman... you don't
know when it could pop out,

but it could end your
game in a heartbeat.

So I think there's always talk about it.

You obviously don't want to let it

override your brain or
think about it too much.

Um, so I'd be, I'd be lying if I say

you don't get a little bit paranoid...

Every time somebody breaks
off and has a one-on-one.

You can't let these
things that are out there

that you don't know
about take advantage.

The scary thing is that your
emotions cloud what's going on.

Are emotions blinding us?

And then, you know...
People are variables.

There's so many different
things that can happen

because, you know, we
all have different emotions.

But just got to keep
on coming back to trust

and what that is and what that means

for you as you've sort of
gotten to this point of the game

with whoever you played with.

Shauhin, you were nodding.

Is it the trust, that you
have to go back to trust?

That's all you have?

I was nodding about the paranoia.

No matter what you do

in this game, you're constantly trying

to fight off that paranoia,

and even when you've built a ton of trust.

You've seen it season
after season that, you know,

if you weren't paranoid
enough, you'd go home.

If you're too paranoid, you go home.

So you're walking that tightrope

between trust and paranoia.

Yeah, walking that fine line between

paranoia and trust, and it's

really tough, especially
this late in the game,

with people who are great players.

You just got to come back to the thing

that got you here in the first place,

which is those foundational relationships

that you established.

Joe, did you experience
any paranoia today?

I mean, it's...

It's difficult to say that, right,
when you have a necklace.

But tomorrow's basically already here.

And you have to think
two or three steps ahead.

And then you talk to the
people that you trust and go,

"hey, walk me through this.

"This is kind of where my
head is starting to go again.

Going to the bogeyman
or to the what-ifs.".

And then you kind of just collectively

work on it as a family,
really, and go, "okay",

"let's try to cool the waters a little bit.

"Let's think logically about this

and then move forward."
