until you've dated a demon.

It's the oldest story in the world. Girl meets demon, girl falls in love,

girl breaks up, girl goes back to demon.

| loved so many of their boyfriends,

and | always felt so bad for the girls

that they couldn't ever really find love

throughout eight years, and then they finally did.

I'll call you.

| will answer.

Yes.

Tell them I'm getting closer.

Julian is so sexy, and so dynamic and so sort of powerful,

and so evil when he's evil, and so good when he's good.

He was so conflicted in being part human, part demon,

and such an interesting character

in his relationship with Phoebe.

| Know who you were,

who you used to be,

and that's not the person you are anymore.

Aren't |?

Belthazor still exists inside of me.

That hasn't changed, nor does it change

what I've done.

But just think of all the good you've done since then.

You see why he was Phoebe's true love.

You see why, but you also see that bad side of him that you know,

like, it could never work out.

| think that women loved the story line so much because

they could relate to falling for the bad guy.

The impossible love that you can't quite make work

but you wanna make work.

That was something that always touched me.

Phoebe, we tried it up there.

It doesn't work for us.

So where does that leave us?

The minute they were on-screen together,

you know, you sensed the chemistry between them.

They had a natural chemistry

that translated well,

and that's, you know, the key to any great relationship.

It was so thrilling to be able to get him back for the 150th.

There was a moment in that episode where he walks by

and she feel-- She senses him, even though she can't see him,

and it's, you know, it's that sort of eternal love.

Oh, my God.

Let me call you back.

Jason!

Jason Dean came in and he was Phoebe's boss,

and he had all sorts of visions about

changing the newspaper around. He was a real go-getter.

| just thought he was such a great match for Phoebe,

and | think all of the writers wanted them to get married.

We just thought, "Here is the guy that, like,

he's big, he's handsome, he's smart, he has his own career.

He shouldn't be threatened."

| love the moment where he finds out that Phoebe's a witch

and he just passes out.

This big, strapping guy just passes out.

| mean, wouldn't you faint if you found out

your significant other was a witch?

He was not for her not just because he couldn't handle

her magic, but because he had a life of his own.

That scene when they say goodbye in the rain,

you just felt that pain and you felt so sad for them.

It's a scene that | felt absolutely privileged to be part of,

not because of anything that | did, but because of what they did,

and the emotion they put behind it.

Eric and | had actually broken up in real life,

because | dated him for a little bit.

And so | was able to tap into, like,

a legitimate thing, as an actress,

and sort of pull up this memory of when

Eric and | broke up, and allowed that moment to transpire

within the scene.

- Hey. - Richard.

What are you doing here?

| came to apologise.

We liked the idea of there being a magic-aholic

in the sisters' lives,

someone who showed the bad side of magic,

and what could happen if you used too much of it

and you basically couldn't stop.

What would make me really happy is if you just stopped

with all the potions and all the magic, just for a while.

He had the magical version of substance-control issues.

He was really addicted to magic.

It's almost like she's falling in love

with a part of herself that's obsessive,

that can't let go, that does it too much,

and then she sees it in him and she's like, "Whoa."

It kind of makes her look at herself and say:

"You know, I'm a little like that myself."

Richard.

- What? - Just stop.

I can't. I did this. | need to fix it.

No. Hey, please.

Just, no more magic.

I'd better call you back.

Hi. | hope it's okay. | just wanted to get started.

Leslie?

Surprise!

She thinks of herself as this, you know,

woman who knows everything there is to know

about, you know, relationships and love,

and in comes this man who has an equally unique take

on relationships, but from the male perspective,

which gave them a lot to bicker about,

and was the basis for the stories that we had.

There was some good advice in there, considering you're a guy.

Well, thanks, | think.

He was a challenge for her because he was charming

and sexy and so funny,

yet he was horrible to her

and just loved tormenting her,

and knew he was, you know, he had her where he wanted her,

and she was frustrated by him.

When they meet Nick Lachey the first time,

she's under a spell, and soon as she sees him, she starts to fall in love.

She starts chasing him around the office

and ends up kissing him.

The tension building to that kiss had been building so long.

They were so giddy by the time they actually kissed.

It was pretty funny.

| figured since we got the first kiss out of the way and everything...

- Out of the way? - Sorry.

My character was designed

as a love interest for Rose's character, Paige.

You hungry?

Starving.

| think we should go, then.

We also wanted him to tie into the overarching mythology that year

which involved the Avatars,

and what we discovered along the way was that

his parents were murdered by the Avatars

and he had a grudge against them.

When my parents uncovered this, they didn't just discover a potion,

they discovered a battle fought 5,000 years ago over our future.

They fought the Avatars then, and we gotta fight them now.

He came in and plunged in full-bore, with full enthusiasm

and won both the respect of the actors and of the crew.

| really liked Kerr and, you know, | loved his character,

and, you know, she was in love with him.

Parting is such sweet sorrow.

He was right.

I never knew what that meant until right now.

Billy Zane was the next demon

who was mortal, who could understand what Phoebe had gone through,

but he only got to live for a year.

They were so mismatched,

but yet he brought out sort of a fun, playful side of her

that | think she needed at that time in her life.

He sort of showed her that she could love again

and that she would find love and when he left, it wasn't--

It was poignant, but it was so beautiful

because she was left with hope that she would find love again.

And then there's a scene in the ending

where Drake actually talks to Cole as he's moving on,

and so you get this moment of both these ex-boyfriends

sort of talking about how much they loved Phoebe.

| loved that moment.

You did all that | asked for.

You saved Phoebe.

| did more than that, buddy.

| fell in love with her.

Understandably.

Farewell, my friend.

You don't need to fight me, Phoebe. I'm on your side.

- Like hell you are. - He's been sent down by the elders

to find Phoebe love and, you know, the children

that she was promised to have,

and he ends up falling in love with her.

Because | love you, Phoebe Halliwell,

with all of my heart, with every fiber in my being,

| love you.

Now, I've found love for thousands of people

all over the world, but | have never found love for myself, not until now.

Until you. And | know you feel the same way

because | can see it.

| know what love looks like.

And | am not letting this get away from us, Phoebe.

And that was the Elders’ plan the entire time, so it worked perfectly.

We were supposed to fall for each other,

and have these beautiful children and get married.

Phoebe falling in love with Cupid.

| thought that that was really sweet.

When someone specifically asks me out on a date,

- that maybe-- - Who did that?

- You did. - 1--? No.

Yeah. You said,

"Would you like to go for lunch on a date?"

| said, "Would you like to go for lunch at Nate's?"

When they first meet they're like, you know,

water and oil. | mean, they couldn't be more different.

He's just, like, hardcore realist probation officer,

just down and dirty.

And she's just, you know, like, this little angelic--

Believes in the human spirit.

- | love her. - And | love him.

Paige. Paige, you can't be serious.

Yeah, we're both serious.

The fact that they could sort of get it together

and work it out, and end up getting married

| just thought was pretty great.

| think if there's probably one relationship that defines Charmed

- itis the Piper-Leo story. - You have two people

who are destined to be together and they are the heart and soul of the show.

Very early in season one, Leo arrived posing as a handyman,

and then it was later revealed to them

that he was, in fact, magical,

and, in fact, the whitelighter, their guide.

And Piper and Leo fell in love

and he had to choose her love over being a whitelighter/Elder.

When he jumped off the bridge and became human,

he took, literally, a leap of faith.

That's the true romantic love.

I think that's what, you know,

sort of the archetype of what we all want.

The had a real chemistry,

and when actors have that chemistry with one another,

it just makes that story, that relationship on film

that much more believable.

And there's something about Leo in that Leo dies.

She'd seen him, had him die so many times before, you know.

They'd been through these moments,

and every time, they were able to make it real, honest

and like it never had happened before.

Leo. Leo, come on.

These are those moments that you really live for, as a director,

to watch these talented people do their thing.

Brian was with me for so long,

it was, like, you know, we had that one part

in the last season where he wasn't there,

and it was literally like | was missing, like, my right arm.

Piper and Leo's relationship was sort of the emotional core

of the show.

| always wanted a happy ending for Charmed,

and you can't have a happy ending

without the Piper-Leo relationship working out.

And at the very end of the show, the very last thing we see

are old-- Eighty-year old. --Piper and Leo,

climbing the stairs, going up to the bedroom.
