We've known each other

for almost a decade now.

And so when we were in

DC, that's where we met.

A lot of our conversations

were around fashion and style.

And I used to gift her

clothes and style her

before we went out.

So this feels very like full circle.

Community is important, right?

That's right.

So it's like in a big

moment, here you are.

And I will say the little

details that you were doing,

but you were doing like

brotherly family moments.

Mm-hmm.

How does that happen?

In terms of what, style or?

No, no, no, no, relationships.

Oh, oh, oh, oh.

I mean, I think for me, I

just try to keep things.

I went to Howard and so

Howard is such a community,

but it feels like a family too,

even with your professors and your peers.

So I think once I left, I

treat everyone like a cousin

or like a mother or sister.

For me, yeah.

Yeah, that's right.

And so I think I extend that to,

especially after, in the last few years,

after the pandemic,

really looking forward

to community and chosen families.

What are you looking forward for tonight?

Honestly, I really

don't know what to expect.

I've just seen lots

of really great photos

of the exhibition itself.

I admire the artists that

did the exhibition design,

Tarquasi Dyson.

She's an amazing black woman, artist

that like dabbles in sort

of art and architecture.

So I'm looking forward to that.

I have no idea who I'm gonna meet.

I've never really been

to the Met for outside

of just seeing art.

So this will be really cool to just to

kind of see what I see

and learn a little bit

about a different side

of the museum.
