put that gun away I'm not one of those

Outlaws you ain't well what are you

jumping a Well's Fargo stage for I'm not

jumping you I'm trying to help you I'm

working for Wells Fargo too special

investigator name's Rocky Lane fine I'm

sker Davis right glad to know you Lane

you've been assigned to ride guard on

this run I haven't been assigned

anything yet but from the looks of

things there's enough going on around

here to keep keep a man busy I'm on my

way to the main office at Fairfield well

that's where I'm heading you can ride in

with me fair enough first I better

collect that dead gunman back

there then the other two rode off into

the woods I saw skeer here was having

trouble controlling his stage so I took

out after it heard a lot about you Lane

I'm glad they assigned you to this

District only I didn't know I was going

to put you to work so soon I hope I can

help Mr Mills you sure can Rocky Right

Guard for us on account we ain't been

able to hire nobody since these raids

started but then there's only one of you

them thie and outlaws have been hitting

almost all our stages well I had

something else in

mind if we had any line at all on the

gang that's doing the raiding it doesn't

seem to be the work of just one gang the

descriptions we have are different men

at every hold up there must be some

reason they're hitting just this

territory

there's one thing to go on

with

here I'll show

you here's Fairfield our regular runs

Move Along these routes every time that

we've had a hold up our reports show

that The Outlaws have been escaping in

the same general

direction could be Cedarville that's the

last we ever see or hear of them any

reports from the local law man well they

none Mr Mills sent me the descriptions

but I ain't seen hiding her hair up

nowhere besides we got got a law abiding

town there a decent respectable

community did you find anything on the

dead man yes it's over

here what's

this Oasis 412

9:15 4:30 p.m. looks like some kind of a

code does I wonder what it means wait a

minute Oasis that's the name of the

saloon at

Cedarville very

interesting did you ever see that man

around there of course not the Oasis is

a respectable place we even turn a card

there myself at times I mean around town

have I'm going to pay a visit to

Cedarville I'm going to need your help

stage back to

town brother what now miss feathergill

$20,000 Mr Thornton say that was quite a

haul I know someplace I'd like to haul

that low- living skunk you your

passengers get a good look at him I told

you he he was masked I didn't have only

one passenger cantankerous old gal that

kept hauling her head off about going to

tell Joe about this I'd sure hate to be

Joe too bad any more hold up and Wells

Fargo is liable to pull out of

cederville Wells Fargo ain't quitting

and neither am I we're going to get

these Outlaws and sooner than you think

that's going to be kind of hard to do if

you don't recognize him well you fellas

keep your eyes open if you hear anything

known him and his family for years it'll

kill his kid brother Tommy if we have to

bring him in we're going to have to do

it not before he takes me to his boss I

don't like the idea of you going in

there alone I'll be all

right

as long as I don't have these bonds with

Tommy Ed I do you know where he lives

he's my brother we better take him home

and find a doctor right away

yeah how is he

doc he should be coming out of it in a

minute will he be all right young boys

are pretty rugged Carol

outside some skin burns and bruises

he'll be

fine it's a good thing he wasn't dragged

by his bad leg Yeah has he got a bad leg

doc Tommy had an accident about 5 years

ago the bone in his leg has never

knitted

properly it has to be reset by a

specialist back East that's a

shame and soon too Ed oh I know it costs

a lot of

money but if this goes on much longer

will have a limp for the rest of his

life I

know he's coming out of it

now well young

man oh hello

Doc and hello Tommy how do you

feel all right I I guess oh Tommy you

gave us such a scare what did I tell you

about staying away from horses I know

but I was doing fine then I

guess my horse got scared when I

yelled it's a good thing you were there

to stop him well I didn't do it Tommy

was Mr Lane here he pulled you clear go

thanks thanks a lot Mr Lane glad I was

able to help Tommy and the name's rocky

rocky you a friend of EDS well

uh you might say we're business

associates well whatever that means you

couldn't have a better one than Ed I

just hope Ed can find a way to repay you

Mr Lane I'm sure he will very

soon now young man we'll get you

upstairs to bed oh GE do I have to you

have to I'll take

it I'll be right down take your time

I'll see you soon Rocky I hope so Tommy

you just hurry up and get well I will

[Music]

good

rocky

rocky what are you doing in here I

thought of my help I followed you and Ed

at a distance I saw what happened how's

Tommy he'll be all right they just took

him upstairs to bed you shouldn't have

come in here this ain't where you're

going to meet the big boss is it no and

there won't be any meeting at all if

Hines comes down here and finds us

together get out of here sure I'll wait

for you

outside

I hope you'll excuse us for leaving you

alone Mr Lane that's all right I was

looking at these pictures of your family

oh these yes well here's one of Tommy

and Ed just before the accident 5 years

ago and this is a more recent one of

them taken right out in the yard

mhm this is on Tommy's last birthday and

he's wearing a brand new outfit Ed gave

him as a present this is the three of us

take a just last month well it's about

time they included one of their big

sister and that's quite an

accomplishment too those two are so fond

of each other so it seems I know Ed

hasn't said much but he sincerely

appreciates what you did for Tommy and

if he can ever repay you I'm sure he

will meanwhile you'll stay for supper

won't you

well Ed and I had kind of a business

appointment well it can wait till after

supper Carol the doc wants some warm

water will you take it up sure Ed excuse

me

it's after 7 don't you think we better

get started we're going to meet this

boss of yours the deal's off Lane what

do you mean I said the deal's off you

got to leave right away get out of town

fast hadn't you better let your boss

decide that I've

decided get out of here if you know

what's good for you and be sure that you

don't

Mr Lane aren't you staying I'm afraid

not Carol he was just saying that he has

to go now well that's too bad maybe the

next time you're in

town maybe

so thanks just the same

[Music]

Miss

[Music]

[Music]

Rocky what happened he called the deal

off why I don't know why do you suppose

he got suspicious maybe he

listen

who's that ain't sure looks like brick

mason who's Brick Mason hangs around

town mostly at the

[Music]

saloon hello brick boss wants to see at

the Oasis right

away

you see Tommy was hurt night the boss

don't like to be kept waiting yeah I

know well tell him I'll get there as

soon as I can you told me to bring you

get your

head all right just a

[Music]

minute

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

I'll go over and see if they're meeting

anybody in there you keep out of

[Music]

sight

red and

odd look look Mr thoron I can

explain what happened Ed why didn't you

bring that fell out to mine to see me

but he wouldn't go for the deal what do

you mean he wouldn't go for the deal

don't you know your job yet what do you

think I made you manager of this place

for so you can contact those guys

promise them anything then bring them to

me and it's all ours because dead men

can't make Bargains remember Ed but he

changed his mind I don't know why maybe

got suspicious he just said he wouldn't

go for the deal you're lying what are

you trying to do going to business for

yourself no honest honest I've always

been on the level with you not this time

you haven't

what

happened all right I'll tell

you that's

better I I told him it wasn't any deal I

just couldn't see him killed not after

what he did for Tommy he saved his life

you're getting soft dead no I'm just

beginning to see a few

things you just wouldn't understand all

I understand is you lost me $20,000

because of that crippled Brad brother of

yours don't say that about Tommy why not

it's what he is isn't it shut

up don't tell me to shut up you and your

fancy ideas about paying for an

operation he's just a dirty little

and that's all he'll ever be why

you

[Music]

you

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

all

hey hey wait for

me

hey who was that somebody from town

probably but we're not hanging around to

find out who come

on what's the idea you were heading

straight into an ambush that got set up

over there they

who I don't know

who well they're G now let's get back to

your office I would stick my my big foot

into

it one thing is certain Ed Hines was

trying to warn me about something when

he told me to get out of

town you figure that's why he was killed

could be the reason his sister and

Tommy's going to take it awful hard just

hope they'd never find out about their

brother maybe they won't if we work

fast as soon as that's Saloon opens

tomorrow I'm going to contact that

drummer Charlie try to set up the deal

again you better get me one of those

Bonds in case he starts asking questions

sure I never had any chance to put him

anywhere wait a minute they're gone what

I had them in that pocket they must have

fallen out no wonder look at that rip it

wasn't T like that before don't you

remember when it happened

no wait a minute when I was hiding

behind that chair at the hindes place my

coat got caught and I had to tug it

Loose to get out of there they must have

fallen out in the

house if Tommy or Carol find those bonds

it'll mess everything

up I'm sorry

Rocky we got to get him back

somehow let's

see there's a back approach to the

hindes place isn't there

yes

somebody's with

him looks like John Thornton your

brother and I were very good friends if

I can ever be of any help I'll let you

know Mr

thoron

go ahead I'll see you back

[Music]

here howy miss Carol Tommy I just wanted

to tell you I'm Mighty sorry thank you

Mr Le I'll do anything I

can yes I know

Rocky but who could have done

it I don't know Tommy but I'm going to

try to find out I promise you

[Music]

that Ed was such a swell guy always

trying to

help why would anyone want

to

somebody's in

[Music]

there what what are you doing here hello

Tommy I I guess I dropped your

picture what are those why they barns

well so they are wasn't there some Barn

stolen from your stage a couple of days

ago uh yes ma'am there was

these are probably them but but what are

they doing here what are you doing here

yes I don't understand you and Mr Lane

well Miss Carol you see um sker and I

figured on trying to find some clue to

your brother's killing we didn't want to

say anything to you until we found

something but but what do these bonds

got to do with

Ed well uh somebody hid him here

figuring it was a good place and Ed

found out about it yeah that's it Tommy

then then they'll be back why don't we

leave them right here in the same place

they hit them I'll keep guard but we

could that's a good idea Tommy where'd

you find him behind that chair then

we'll put him right back

there

there you take good care of your sister

Tommy if you see anybody prowling around

out here you report to sker don't worry

I will that up boy and let's keep this

quiet huh just between ourselves I won't

say a word good come on

sker I don't get it Rocky why'd you

leave the bonds in

there it's as good a place as any Carol

and Tommy might have gotten suspicious

if we'd taken them this way they'll keep

still about it I get it but I thought

you wanted one of them I got

it when I hit him back to the chair now

let's get to town I'm going to try to

make another contact through that

Charlie lanon get your

horse hello friend howy

too bad about your pal last night yep

downright shame nice fell it can't

imagine who'd want to kill

him kind of spoiled our little deal

didn't

it I guess I'll have to go someplace

else to do

business maybe you can still do it

around

here yeah got any ideas maybe if you

were to meet me here say around 1:00

tonight I might have the right parties

here see what I can do

1:00 be sure you have those those things

with

you I think you're crazy going in there

alone they won't kill me for just one

Bond I want to know where the rest

are

what's the matter four men just rode

[Music]

up looks like they're setting a

trap this could be what Ed Hines was

trying to warn me about don't go in

there Rocky I tell you it ain't worth

it there won't be any trouble getting in

might be a question of getting out I

still think you're crazy well you stay

here and keep your gun

ready I'm going to get Blackjack and

keep my

appointment brick and the boys are out

front now as soon as you get those bonds

send Lane out first and they'll take

care of him where will you be out in the

back meet me there

right

[Music]

well I see you're right on time I didn't

want to keep that right party waiting

very considerate of your friend you

brought the bonds of

course the others they're in my saddle

bags my Hors is

outside I see we're alone or do we go in

the back office now nope as a matter of

fact the boss doesn't like to do

business in the saloon you know allergic

to liquor mhm where does he like to do

business if you come with me I'll show

you let's

go

after

you after you

friend what what I want to make sure

you're four friends out there so you

come out

first I don't know what you're talking

about maybe not but I like to play

everything on the safe side so you first

Charlie what's the matter

Charlie you're afraid your friends will

get you by

mistake look look

Lane I'll make a deal with with you you

mean with the wills Fargo

[Music]

company I'm after the top man in your

outfit and you're going to take me to

him sure sure sure I know just where to

find him so call your men off outside

your

gun it's a good thing I came in Rick was

wondering what was going on get his

other gun

Charlie

[Music]

he

[Music]

[Applause]

n

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

so far so good the boss ought to have

them bonds by now then maybe we can

start moving this stuff out of here and

cash

in turn around

slow move over

here your hands

high

nice setup you got

here looks like a Wells Fargo

Warehouse so this is the way you do

it look Mister there's plenty here for

everybody so it seems join up with us

we'll catch you

in That's mighty generous of you I got

other plans don't move

Lane drop

it get your hands

high won't be necessary to cut him in

Brick turn

around

this isn't just the way I expected to

meet you Mr Lane but it'll

do keep your gun on him

brick

well this is

interesting where are the others you

don't think I'd be fool enough to carry

him around do

you maybe

not you wanted to make a deal with

me yeah I do if you're the right

party I'm Miss

it tell you what I'll do I'll take all

those bonds off your hands and give you

a fair

cut nice of you I think so under the

circumstances you tell me where the

others are no not a

chance but I'll show

you fair

enough in the morning I'll send brick

with

you how do I know I'll live long enough

to enoy that fair cut you promised me

you just have to take my word for that

Mr

Lane it's about all you can

do keep your eye on you

boys you're really not going to cut him

in are you of course not you see Brick

the good people of Cedarville are going

to have the answer to those

murders in the morning

as soon as you get those bonds take care

of

him they might even pin a metal on

[Music]

you you mean them bonds are here in the

house

all right going on up to the door that

kid Andy sister are here get rid of him

remember I got a gun on

you

Tommy Miss

Carol nobody home good go on

[Music]

in

[Music]

all right where are

[Music]

they in

there

[Music]

he

[Music]

he

[Music]

that

[Music]

Foy hey Foy Foy over

here where have you been I've been

looking for you half the night and

pulled up in the silver mine with the

outlaw boss man named Thornton John

thoron I think he's in town now let's

go

then I saw this fellow lane racing out

of town on his horse right after Charlie

was

killed look here man you know what this

is that's one of the bonds that was

stolen from sker davis' stage the other

day all I saw it drop out of Lane's

pocket was he's mounting his horse so

that makes him one of the

Outlaws and I think the answer to who

killed both Ed and Charlie come come on

man let's F my py and hunt him

down

morning Tommy Miss Carol morning what's

going on Mr Thornton the mened a py to

go after your brothers killer you mean

they found out who did it yes it was a

stranger hanging around town here called

himself Rocky Lane Mr Lane that's right

ma'am but don't worry we'll catch him

all right we won't bother with the trial

oh no Mr Lane didn't do it he and sker

Davis are working together to try to

catch the outlaw Lane and sker yeah he

told me that when they found the bonds

at my place what's that tmy yeah

somebody hid the bonds at our house Mr

Lane left them there to try to catch the

outlaw you mean those bonds are still at

your house yeah I better get out there

right away before they start shooting at

Rocky to try to clear him that's a good

idea Tommy I'll right out with you miss

Carol you'd better wait in town it'll be

safer here all

right Tommy you be careful I'll take

good care of you ma'am

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

Mr Lane sker in here quick before

someone sees you

what's the trouble Miss Carol the town's

people are out looking for you they

think you're the murderer and stole the

bonds what but everything will be all

right as soon as Tommy and Mr thoron get

back thoron yes we were afraid they were

going to kill you so Tommy had to

explain to him that you weren't the

murderer and how you left the bonds at

the house oh my gosh go on so Mr thoron

went out to the house with Tommy to get

the bonds to clear you that's just fine

come on we got to get get out there

but what's happened looks like you've

had visitors maybe they're after the

bonds they're still

here oh that's fine Tommy you should be

in line for a reward from the Wells

Fargo company oh I don't care about that

as long as we clear Rocky hey what are

you going to do with them I'll take them

back to town and turn them over to sker

Davis you stay here all

right what was

that I don't

know I keep get out

here who's heing and what's he doing

here they jumped me before I had a

chance to get the bonds I got him all

right what happened to Lane get

away your Outlaws the kid catch his own

fast we've got to get out to the mine

and get that stuff out of there Lane

knows too much so does he bring him

along no

[Music]

go

[Music]

[Music]

they're gone the mine come

[Music]

on let's move over to those

[Music]

[Music]

rocks

[Music]

Hur up man finish that

loading

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

we got to get out of

[Music]

here

[Music]

here

Rocky hold it you might hit

[Music]

Tommy

[Music]

head out head

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Music]

you

[Music]

[Music]

a

[Music]

I

[Music]

oh

[Music]

whoa

I guess you'll be heading back to the

main office now yep I suppose

so that's just one thing

sker now that thoron and his men are

dead you and I are the only two that

know about Ed

Hines for the sake of Tommy and his

sister

Carol I'd like to leave his name out of

my report I was good as forgot all about

it we heard you were leaving we wanted

to say

goodbye well I I was just going to ride

off to your place I've got something for

you here your share of the reward money

from the Wells Fargo people for helping

recover their stolen goods but I didn't

do anything you sure did Tommy there's

enough there to fix up that bad leg of

yours so you better get packing for your

trip back East oh that's wonderful guys

thanks

Rocky well I better get

rolling

well next time I see you Tommy you can

take a nice long ride on Blackjack here

that's well and I'll stay on top Rocky m

a boy I'll be seeing

you good luck

[Applause]
