Hi, I'm Tamar.

- Hi, I'm Alex.

- And this is "Last Looks."

(groovy music)

- It's Greg Excitement,

Charlotte Excitement. - Excitement.

- Telling you to shut the fuck up

and enjoy what we do.

- Brennan and Izzy, the two wrestlers,

they were obviously a clear choice

because not only are they married,

but they also perform together all the time.

So we knew that they would have a really fun dynamic.

- It was our first one back in it.

- Yeah. - And it was so fun.

And they both bring such great energy.

- I mean, they came in hot.

The first episode of the second season,

the chemistry was, like, incredible.

- Our sexual life has never been more powerful.

- So you are still seeing each other intimately?

- No. - No.

- Okay. - I have to keep

my eyes closed!

(upbeat music)

- This was a look that I think everyone

was immediately on board with.

- It seems like a pretty obvious choice

because we knew it would be physical.

We knew that we could kinda go wild with the color palette

and just make it really pop on screen.

And we didn't need to use prosthetics,

which I know we were kind of looking for some looks that-

- Some balance. - Some balance there.

- We found a lot of interesting references

from the '80s with different facial hairstyles,

and I had reached out to a friend, Kristy,

over at Top Knot Wigs.

We had sketched out what we wanted.

- It's always important to get a healthy breakfast,

drink water, get eight hours of sleep,

and take care of yourself the more you know.

- [Alex] He was fun in the chair because he has no idea.

He just feels stripes going on his face.

With Izzy, we wanted to transform her

with a beauty makeup and contouring

and a heavy eyeshadow and glitter.

- They made me too hot. (hands clap)

- They didn't make me too hot,

and that's sort of what I'm trying (wheezes) to address.

- And it was funny seeing how beautiful she went,

and then Brennan with his facial hair.

It was such a great duo

in the way they fed on that.

- I am 100% positive

that this is breakaway,

and I'm going to, in real life, pick it up

and smash it on my head. - [Tamar] No, no, don't break that.

- I know it's breakaway. - It's rented.

As we were kind of coming up with possible props,

one thing that David Kerns had recommended,

which was brilliant, was a breakaway chair.

And Caroline, our props person,

was like, "Yeah, I can get that easily."

And so one of us was like,

"Let's also get other breakaway stuff.

Well, you know, I didn't know that this was an option.

Can we get breakaway glasses?

Can we get, like, this cat is breakaway?"

I'm not gonna break it right now,

but I want to. - I wanna see you break it.

- I really want to. - Do it, do it, do it.

- Is this real glass? - Yes.

- Great. - Okay.

Because the breakaways are very easy to break.

And because it's a chair,

and someone could accidentally sit on the chair,

Caroline had created kind of like a border with cones

and like, caution tapes,

so no one would touch the breakaway chairs.

And then it became such a big part of the episode.

- We're gonna cuck him. (chair cracks)

- Well, okay, okay. - Whoa, shit!

Now, hop up, you sit down. - Okay, think so. Okay!

When we were kind of deciding,

are we gonna do duos this season?

Are we only gonna do singles?

We decided to do duos because Brennan

and Izzy would perform so well together.

- Physical circumstance is very different.

Doing this episode together.

Neither of us

are pregnant. - Are pregnant.

(hands clap)

- Last season, how everyone kind of took the duos

was that they were kind of on the same page,

but what Brendan and Izzy did

and also what John and Kate did, which I think was so great,

was they created a contentious backstory.

- I love you. - I used to love you.

- I'm getting there. (smooches)

Business partner, okay.

- Okay. (chuckles)

It really did make the episodes

just that much more developed.

- Everybody get out!

- I'm like a bird. - Everybody get out.

- You heard them, get out!
