We're here.

[The wizard from Yunzhou]

I didn't expect

to be caught in such heavy rain on my way.

What's worse, I got lost.

I have nowhere to go.

May I

stay in your place for a while?

Sir, look.

My clothes are drenched.

Okay.

Sir.

There's a bug on your clothes.

That's the Gu bug I raised.

They won't hurt you unless I order them.

Damn you, Enchantress!

What did you do to my Pearl-Devouring Beast?

[Novoland]

Move aside.

Move!

[Nanhuai City]

So many Yulin Guards are here.

Yet we still lost a little thief.

Split up to look for him.

Keep searching!

Yes.

Fish for sale!

Fresh sea fish!

Come and take a look.

[Zheng Shicai, the astrologer]

That's Zheng Shicai.

He's going to start the fortune-telling.

Let's go.

That's Zheng Shicai.

Lotus emerges from the water.

From spring to winter.

It's an auspicious sign.

So amazing.

[Shi Qiutong, Princess of Yan]

How come?

Four stars in a line.

That's the sign of Tang.

The turmoil of war will rise everywhere.

It's hard to resist the fate designated by the stars.

What's wrong with him?

Four stars in a line.

Four stars in a line.

Four stars in a line.

Four stars in a line.

Four stars in a line!

Help me!

Help me!

Help me!

Help me!

I'm dying!

Someone is trying to harm me.

Look!

His head!

The Star Calamity has come true!

My head hurts!

Run!

My kid!

My kid!

Don't be afraid.

Don't cry.

Don't be afraid.

Mommy's here.

Don't cry.

[Yun Zhan, the ranger]

[Yun's Investigation Agency] [One day before]

[Wanted]

Zhu, be good.

Zhu.

Don't move.

Zhu.

Zhu.

Zhu, be good.

Don't move.

Zhu, don't move.

I'm coming.

We finally have a deal to do.

Don't ruin the cat-finding business again.

[Yun Mie, "Tayewusheng"]

I can't watch it anymore.

Don't tell people that I'm your martial arts teacher

in the future.

Looks like I have to use my real skills.

[Xiaoming, the top courtesan]

Miss Xiaoming.

Mr. Yun Zhan.

You really found Zhu for me?

Of course.

There's nothing I can't do.

Your Zhu

is so troublesome.

It

just likes catching birds.

How should I repay you?

Repay?

Repay…

We found the cat.

That's ten taels of silver.

What's going on?

Which family is holding a funeral?

It's Mr. Chen, the richest man in Nanhuai City.

The one lying in the coffin

is said to be a friend of his in the underworld.

Friend?

Such a big scene.

I thought Mr. Chen's father was gone.

Silly son.

You don't need to talk so rudely to offend others.

The old mister is right.

I heard this friend of his fell from a high place.

It's said that it's related to the Star Calamity.

In order to resolve the disaster,

Mr. Chen not only held a funeral banquet

but also invited the wizards of the tribe

to chant sutras for three days and nights.

He's really full of affection and righteousness.

Host guests for a banquet?

A big family?

Isn't there a lot of delicious food?

Didn't you receive the invitation?

Why don't you know about it?

Heaven above and Earth below.

Heaven above and Earth below.

[Mr. Chen]

Heaven above and Earth below.

For the peace of Nanhuai City,

Mr. Chen has really spent a lot.

Exactly.

His Majesty hasn't attended court for a long time.

I'm afraid the world order will change.

Bro,

have you learned some secrets from the underworld?

I'm a vegetarian.

Sir, you have no idea.

Mr. Chen's friend

was not killed by accident.

Have you heard of Tianluo before?

It's the most mysterious assassin organization

in Novoland.

I heard from my friends from the underworld

that the victim was killed by Tianluo.

Do you know

who in Tianluo did this?

It was the number one assassin in Novoland

"Tayewusheng,"

Yun Mie.

The ceremony is completed.

The Star Calamity

has been resolved.

Run!

Run!

Old man.

What should we do?

Let's go.

Go have a look.

Watch out!

My...

How dare they attack me with my weapon?

Retreat!

Why don't you chase them?

Pack your things and leave Nanhuai City now. Something will happen.

Let's go.

Old man.

Why didn't you let me chase them?

Are you afraid I can't beat them?

Brat, don't think of showing off all the time.

Darn it.

There are so many Yulin Guards.

Shameless thief!

Who do you call a thief?

I am

Yun Zhan, the No.1 ranger in Nanhuai City.

I specialize in looking for people's lost items

-or investigating an affair… -Behave yourself.

Slow down.

-Old man! -I have difficulty

in walking.

Mr. An.

[Jiao Donglin, Deputy General of Yulin Guards]

Princess Shi Qiutong has caught the suspects.

She invites you to go to the palace

to interrogate the suspects together.

So fast?

In Nanhuai City,

few people know how to use Tianluo Silk.

What is its background?

It is the exclusive weapon

of Tianluo, the No. 1 assassin organization.

Although it is as thin as silk,

it's extremely sharp.

It can cut iron like butter.

Most importantly,

ordinary people don't even have access to it.

You mean this case

is related to Tianluo?

There are warriors standing under the sun,

while there are also assassins hiding in the shadows.

My Lord, I am wronged.

My Lord.

Let us out.

My Lord.

Old man,

why didn't you let me make a move just now?

Is it good now?

We don't have food or drink.

And we got caught here and are so humiliated.

How dare you accuse me?

It's all your fault.

You cursed Mr. Chen's father.

In the end, we didn't even get to have a free meal.

I got into trouble

before I even drank the wine.

Are you blaming me?

Are you blaming me?

Let go.

Do you miss me?

If you speak rudely again,

I'll pierce your mouth next time.

She can't beat you.

I know.

Mr. Chen only invited

his old friends or the celebrities of Nanhuai City.

You don't know the deceased.

Nor do you have any relations with Mr. Chen.

Why did you sneak into the banquet?

Tell me.

Who says I'm not a celebrity?

I am the No.1 ranger in Nanhuai City.

I'm presentable anywhere.

There's no banquet that I can't attend.

Cut the crap in front of the Princess.

You're still denying your crime even when facing death.

Princess?

So, you are the legendary Red-clothed Demoness,

Princess Regent, Shi Qiutong?

You...

Princess.

Calm down.

You two are indeed

the top masters in current Novoland.

You're even so good at talking.

Who are you?

The Princess' husband?

Mr. Yun.

This thing

is not strange to you, right?

Tianluo Silk.

I found that the body

murdered Mr. Chen,

manipulated by Tianluo Silk.

Tell me.

In the whole of Nanhuai City, who else

could use such a weapon

except for you two?

Don't accuse anyone without evidence.

You can only prove using Tianluo silk to murder

is related

with Tianluo.

I quit the organization long ago.

I haven't done anything for years.

In that case,

I can only ask you two

to bide here for a few days

before the truth is out.

I haven't finished yet.

Come back.

Where are you going?

Is there any wine for me?

I can hold on for a few more days if there is.

Princess,

although Yun Mie and his disciple have something to do with this case,

I think

there's more to it.

What do you mean?

When I examined the body,

I found it was a wizard from Yunzhou.

Besides, Mr. Chen

had a transaction of a huge sum of money recently.

Even his family doesn't know where the money went.

Yunzhou?

A huge sum of money?

Yes.

The death of that wizard

caused a huge shock to the public.

Everyone is saying that

the prophecy of the astrologer has begun.

Plus...

Say it.

Plus, His Majesty hasn't attended court for a long time.

Nonsense.

Bring me the astrologer

who spread rumors.

I want him to see

what his fortune is.

This Hantian Orchid...

[Shi Zhiheng, King of Yan]

Tong got it for me from the northern land.

Long, if you have time today,

you can watch it and appreciate it with me.

Princess Tong is so filial.

It's not just a blessing for Your Majesty,

[Shi Long, Prince Rui]

but also a blessing for the whole Kingdom of Yan.

I've been sick for years.

Tong is young.

The stability of Yan

is all thanks to you, Long.

Now that Tong's marriage is settled,

I'm relieved.

Your Majesty,

the Princess's wedding is in three days.

I'll present a treasure then.

What treasure?

Your Majesty

Prince Rui.

Princess Tong has caught

the assassins who assassinated Mr. Chen the other day.

She's tightening the security.

He was just a councillor.

Why make such a fuss?

Your Majesty, you may not know this,

but Mr. Chen was the richest man in Nanhuai.

He was also a patron of the Yulin Guards.

His death may cause rumors among people.

We must guard against that.

I've lived in the palace for a long time.

I don't know the world well anymore.

Forget it.

Let Tong be.

The Enchantress

is transformed from consciousness.

Both its form and spirit are dispersed.

It's perfect

for divination.

I know you pity your people.

But you have to understand that

if the master behind us

can accomplish the great cause,

I'll be in a high position,

and your human form will not be damaged.

Everyone will be happy by then, won't they?

It's just for fun.

Do they really think they can lock me up?

Go have fun if you want.

I'll be staying right here.

Old man,

are you being stubborn again?

You silly son.

This is clearly a mess.

If you go out,

you'll only cause more trouble.

We can take the chance and hide here.

Don't you want to know

who gave us the invitation?

And who

dragged us into this mess?

What are you doing?

Someone broke out.

This has nothing to do with me.

He wants to escape!

Help!

Help!

Help!

I just don't understand

what you are thinking about.

Are you leaving or not?

I'm leaving anyway.

Remember to get me some wine.

Wait for me to come back.

I'll take you away openly.

Mr. Yun,

you're leaving in such a hurry.

Why don't you stay for a cup of tea?

Enemies indeed tend to encounter each other.

If you hadn't committed murder,

I really wouldn't want to be enemies with you.

Do you actually want to be friends with me?

I'm not interested in men.

Over there!

Hurry!

You actually shot an arrow while I wasn't looking!

Have you had enough running?

If you have, then go back to the prison!

Shameless bandit!

Take him down!

July 7th?

On July 7th,

the phoenix flies in the sky.

He is a member of the Bird Clan.

That's right!

I only hold the sky in reverence!

I will never be a caged bird!

It looks like he's just a dark bird.

Catch up to him!

Yes!

Meteors fall,

heralding a great war.

A change in the nation's name

indicates imminent rebellion.

A virtuous king will bring prosperity to the country,

and his nation will rule the world.

A king without virtue will perish,

and his subjects will lose their ruler.

Xiaoming?

What is he doing?

What's that smell?

Oh no.

Miss Xiaoming.

Mr. Yun.

Why are you here?

I'm taking a bath.

Miss Xiaoming,

don't misunderstand me.

I...

I have a question to ask you.

Last time you helped me find Zhu.

I haven't had a chance to thank you yet.

It was you

who took away the Tianluo Silk.

The romantic night is short.

Why are you bringing this up now?

The only one capable of stealing the Tianluo Silk

from close to me is you.

It...

just loves catching birds.

You're an Enchantress, aren't you?

Only Enchantresses can bewitch a person.

You said you were bewitched by me.

Was that true?

The Yulin Guards is investigating a case.

Make way, bystanders!

Step aside!

You two,

go search over there.

Yes!

Are they here to arrest someone?

You've been hit by the Light Feather Arrow's poison.

Only by soaking your body in this

can the scent dissipate.

Thank you very much.

I'll come back for you.

There are so many Yulin Guards.

How could they lose track of a mere thief?

Split up and search!

Keep searching!

Yes!

Indeed, Xiaoming is the compassionate one,

and skilled in treating illnesses and saving lives.

Unlike that Red-clothed Demoness.

She surely couldn't have imagined

I would dare to return to Yun's Investigation Agency.

Do female harassers nowadays walk so silently?

If you keep talking nonsense,

I'll cut off your tongue!

Why are you always thinking about my tongue?

You...

Can you shoot me after I get dressed?

Stop yelling!

I'm going to gouge out your eyes!

I'll kill you!

Go ahead.

Boss, we lost him.

The secret technique I injected into the Light Feather Arrow

was somehow neutralized by Yun Zhan.

After his scent disappeared,

the owl also lost its direction.

The princess told us to split up and search.

But now we can't contact her too.

What should we do?

Where did you guys split up?

Shouldn't you, as a noble princess,

be waiting to get married?

Yet, you always come out fighting.

Aren't you afraid of losing your life?

I was born in the royal family.

So naturally, I have the responsibility of governing the country.

It's not something a commoner like you can understand.

Yes.

You have a great responsibility.

And I

am just a commoner.

I...

grew up with the old man.

If someone wants to scheme against him,

then they'll have to deal with me.

So,

I must personally uncover the truth.

You have someone you want to protect.

I also have someone I want to protect.

Help me!

Help me!

Help me!

Help me!

Keep quiet.

I can't stand it anymore!

Someone wants to harm me!

Kid!

Step aside!

Move!

Don't cry.

Don't cry.

Mommy is here.

Don't cry.

This way!

What is this?

This...

This...

This is called Ice Snow Worm,

originating from the ice fields of Shangzhou.

They lay eggs and grow inside the human brain.

Princess, are you alright?

Nanhuai City is warm like spring all year round.

The Ice Snow Worm you mentioned

simply cannot survive here.

Although this kind of bug

has extremely high requirements for its living environment,

it's not impossible

to raise it

in the East.

As long as you find the right person.

Don't you know how to cultivate Ice Snow Worms?

Then come with us.

I'll go.

I'll go.

What a smell.

I know it can't trap you.

You deliberately came here with me.

This is all for my master.

The three bodies in front of you

are the recent deaths of the wizard,

Mr. Chen, and Zheng Shicai.

I heard that you always

call yourself an information source in Nanhuai City.

Now let me see what you're capable of.

Zheng Shicai was an astrologer.

I bet he had never predicted

that he would die so miserably.

Someone stole my Tianluo Silk

and used the wizard from Yunzhou to kill Mr. Chen.

So the only clue...

must be on him.

Based on the body's condition,

he indeed seems to have fallen from a high altitude.

This is a strangulation mark left by the Tianluo Silk.

What is this?

The Gu bug feeders in Yunzhou

use special incense to make symbols on their bodies

to prevent the insects from backlashing.

The shape of the symbols is related to the type of the Gu bug.

The first symbol

is the Ice Snow Worm that killed Zheng Shicai.

The second one

is called Dark Blood Prison.

I haven't seen

the third symbol before.

The whereabouts of the Gu bugs are unknown.

I'm afraid there will be more victims.

Ice Snow Worms thrive in extreme cold environments.

To cultivate and sustain them in the East,

one must use jade boxes made from the ice

extracted from underground to feed them.

Fortunately, I happen to know

who can make

these jade boxes in Nanhuai City.

There's no time to waste.

Let's go find this person now.

We've been busy all day.

Can we take a break? I'm so tired.

What if he is killed too?

Even if someone wants to kill him, they have to find him first.

Without me leading the way,

you will never find him in your lifetime.

Wait!

Well, tonight,

please put up with staying with the three deceased, Mr. Yun.

Shi Qiutong,

you're not playing fair!

Come in.

Boss.

I found out how they managed

to infiltrate the banquet of the Chen's Mansion.

Their invitations

seem to have leaked from the Prince Rui's Mansion.

Prince Rui?

Your Highness,

you are brave, righteous,

open-minded, and tolerant.

If the Kingdom of Yan is under your governance,

it will surely prosper.

Your Highness, your talents in governance need no mention.

His Majesty has been seriously ill,

recuperating in the palace for years.

With the court currently without a leader,

we urgently need a wise ruler to lead the government.

His Majesty has been generous to me.

Let's not mention it again.

Your Highness,

your loyalty to His Majesty is unquestionable.

However,

I would like to take the liberty to say something.

If one day His Majesty encounters unexpected events,

we will all stand by you and support you

in ruling the country with all our efforts.

We will surely support you, Your Highness!

Have you heard about the Star Calamity last night?

Yes.

I wonder who will be the next unlucky.

Who knows?

Come and have a look.

These items are all unique.

There's nowhere else you can find them.

Come and take a look.

Old Weirdo Xian,

are you scamming people here again?

Nonsense! These are all genuine goods!

I've been in Nanhuai City for so long.

I've never heard of such a place.

You're used to living in bright places,

unaware of

the many shady dealings in this city.

Sir.

Most of the people who come here

have committed serious crimes.

Who would want outsiders to know this place?

Overe there.

Where is Mei Luo?

I don't know Mei Luo.

You can fool others but not me.

I said

I don't know anyone named Mei Luo.

The mysterious gate

to all wonders.

To find this gate,

one must wait until the stars fall to the west.

[Craftsman, Mei Luo]

It's you.

Are you finally decided

to give me the Tianluo Silk?

Let's put this topic aside

and talk about the Ice Snow Worm, shall we?

Ice Snow Worm?

I'm not going to talk about that with you.

Bro!

Mr. Mei, now that you have appeared,

you can't let us new friends

make a wasted trip, right?

It hurts!

Is this the jade box used to cultivate the Ice Snow Worms?

Don't break it!

Did you, little old man, make a fortune?

Don't break it!

There are actually people buying such scarce items?

Boss.

Look.

It really is Mr. Chen's symbol.

What is this?

Novoland, in a thousand years since creation,

has witnessed eight dynasties

and countless bloody battles.

With the escalation of warfare,

the ancestors of Heluo invented an armor

called mechanical armor, which cannot be pierced

by swords or spears.

I had only read about it in books before.

I didn't expect to witness it firsthand today.

Little old man.

What's your purpose in making so many armors?

Are you plotting

to overthrow the father of our princess?

You're quite audacious.

The creation of these Gu bugs and armors serves only one purpose:

someone intends to rebel.

Tell me,

who commissioned you to make the mechanical armors?

I really don't know.

I only received a deposit and the blueprints.

I've never met the person

who paid me behind the scenes.

Truly, I haven't.

In that case, Mr. Yun,

please have a good talk with Mei Luo.

Leave this place to me and Princess.

No problem.

You

don't need to worry about anything right now.

Just tell me everything you know,

and I promise you'll be fine.

Dream on.

Three people have already died outside.

A wizard from Yunzhou,

an astrologer from Nanhuai, and a local businessman.

Rumors about the Star Calamity are spreading throughout the city.

If you don't tell me what's going on now,

you might lose your own life,

do you understand?

Don't play this game with me.

You actually want to scare me.

Three people died, so what?

Even if 30 people died,

it has nothing to do with me.

Twenty years ago,

I came here underground,

just to escape from the Star Calamity.

I was safe and sound, turning bad luck into good.

How could I die of that

after 20 years?

The Star Calamity happened once twenty years ago?

You'll have to ask your master about that.

He knows it the best.

How about this?

Let's make a deal.

No.

I'll lend you the Tianluo Silk for research.

Now you tell me who hired you

to make those jade boxes and mechanical armors.

Really?

Of course.

Then let me tell you.

As for the buyer for these mechanical armors and jade boxes,

I really haven't seen them.

Wait. Listen to me.

Young people lack patience.

Put it down.

Although I haven't seen this buyer,

every time

they send over the gold,

they bring me this.

This kind of ore is the raw material

for making mechanical armors.

Only a few people know its origin.

But if you want to find it, it's easy.

Just go to...

Dark Blood Prison?

The roots

of this plant

can firmly attach to the victim's heart.

Once the victim becomes nervous or excited,

the blood vessels expand,

and the plant grows wildly,

eventually bursting out of the victim's body.

Then a prison of vines will be formed.

That's why it's called the Dark Blood Prison.

The last clue we had led us nowhere.

Who poisoned Mei Luo?

Isn't it obvious?

Yun Zhan

must be involved.

Did I really trust you wrongly,

Yun Zhan?

Do you still believe him

at this point?

I only believe in evidence.

In that case,

there is one thing

I have to say.

Go ahead.

I found out

that the invitation that Yun Zhan and his disciple received

was given by Prince Rui.

Who are you?

It was you who sent the invitation

of Mr. Chen's banquet, right?

What's your basis?

Rumor has it

that the wizard from Yunzhou sent you a magical bug.

He died soon after that.

Master and I had no contact with Mr. Chen.

But we were invited to the banquet.

We witnessed the body controlled by Tianluo Silk

killing Mr. Chen.

That's why we were imprisoned.

At first, I thought it was the murderer who deliberately set up a suspicious formation

to lure us into the trap

and frame us.

But we had nothing to do

with the subsequent cases.

So there is only one explanation left.

Someone noticed

there was something behind the death of the wizard from Yunzhou

but he dared not ask someone to investigate the case openly.

So

he sent us the invitation secretly

in the hope that we could find out the truth.

Am I right?

Prince Rui.

What made you think

that the invitation was sent by me?

Because Yun Mie, my master,

was your retainer

twenty years ago.

What on earth happened

between you and my master

back then?

Don't you want to know

what happened between your master and I?

Back then, Yun Mie did a poor job in getting rid of dissidents.

I sent the invitation

so that your master could make up for his mistakes and pay the price.

Otherwise,

you would be the one to face the consequences.

Four stars in a line.

It has been decided.

It's destined.

It seems that we are doomed this time.

You don't have to persuade me.

I've made up my mind.

The country I've been trying my best to protect for my father

will never be tainted by outsiders.

Actually,

I envy you.

Because

you have a family worth protecting.

Unlike me,

I lost my parents when I was young.

I don't know where I came from.

His Majesty adopted me.

He gave me a chance to learn martial arts so that I could repay his kindness.

So

I will do anything

His Majesty asks me to.

We were ordered to get married,

but no one has ever asked about our feelings.

Now

I want to make my own decision.

I want to find out the truth.

No matter what decision you make,

I'll support you.

Boss.

Your Highness.

I found it.

Over there.

Hya!

Hya!

Hya!

Hurry!

Boss, look.

There's still Ice Snow Worm.

Looks like

this is the residence of the wizard from Yunzhou.

This is the ore

found in front of Mei Luo's body last night.

Obviously,

this must be a clue

left to us by Yun Zhan on purpose.

This kind of ore is special.

It exists only in the Luoyan Forest in the suburbs.

Then why did Yun Zhan

leave this kind of ore?

This is the material for Mei Luo to make the mechanical armor.

He must be guiding us here.

Your Highness.

I found a letter.

It turns out that the wizard from Yunzhou worked for Prince Rui.

In the letter, Prince Rui asked the wizard from Yunzhou

to bring a magical bug called Pearl-Devouring Beast

and present it as a gift

to His Majesty on our wedding day.

Ice Snow Worm.

Dark Blood Prison.

Pearl-Devouring Beast.

Is Pearl-Devouring Beast the third strongest Gu bug?

Today is our wedding day.

Prince Rui will surely do it.

Go back to the palace.

Let's go.

Someone dares to attack the Yulin Guards?

Protect Her Highness!

Who are you?

How dare you attack the Yulin Guards?

Guards, fight your way out!

You're indeed Prince Rui's lackey.

Your Highness.

Retreat.

Mr. An.

Your Highness.

Thank you for being here today

to celebrate the wedding of Princess Tong.

Where are Tong and Xuewu?

Report!

Your Majesty.

Princess Tong and Mr. An were attacked in Luoyan Forest.

Backup is requested.

Why are they in Luoyan Forest

on the wedding day?

Who attacked Tong?

It remains unknown.

Hurry.

Hurry.

Send someone to find Tong.

Go.

Yes.

[Bounty for wanted fugitives]

His Majesty's rewarding a thousand taels of gold for the whereabouts of Her Highness.

This is our chance to be an overnight millionaire.

You still want to be an overnight millionaire?

Her Highness was missing on her wedding day.

I guess the country will be in chaos.

It's none of our business.

Besides,

have you ever seen Her Highness?

Can you recognize her if she passes you by?

No.

Your Highness.

How do you feel?

It will hurt a little.

Please bear with it.

By the way,

where is the letter?

Here.

I saw Prince Rui's gold token

on the assassin.

Looks like Prince Rui has made up his mind to kill us.

The fallen meteorite

represents a war.

The country is occupied

while soldiers become leaderless.

The virtuous will prosper.

Their country will be prosperous.

The brute will perish.

The ruler will die.

The fallen meteorite

represents a war.

Your Highness.

Girl.

What song did you sing just now?

When Mother and I entered the city,

an astrologer sang it.

What did the astrologer look like?

The astrologer who was shot in the head the night before yesterday.

Okay, I got it.

You may leave.

My uncle is sure

that people in Novoland believe in destiny.

So he builds prestige for himself

by spreading

this folk song away.

Your Highness.

I can't let him succeed.

You may ride my horse and go back first.

I'll gather the Yulin Guards.

Thank you.

No need to thank me.

Be careful.

[Tianyan Hall]

Your Majesty, don't worry.

Today is the wedding day of Her Highness.

Her Highness and Mr. An are blessed.

They will be fine.

How can I not be worried?

Tong is missing on her wedding day.

It remains unknown if she's still alive.

Do you remember

the treasure I wanted to present to you

on the wedding day of Her Highness?

Tong is still missing.

Even if there's a priceless treasure,

I don't have the mood to see it.

Then please allow me to present it as consolation.

Your Majesty.

Long.

What is this?

Your Majesty.

I sent someone

to find this from the Milin tribe in Yunzhou.

It's called the Pearl-Devouring Beast.

It feeds on pearls.

It glows after eating

and shines brightly.

Your Majesty, do you want to see it?

Good.

Very good.

Father, be careful.

Tong.

Tong.

What happened to you?

Father.

Please read this letter.

Is there anything strange

with the Pearl-Devouring Beast?

Father.

The wizard who was close to my uncle

had kept three kinds of Gu bugs.

The first two kinds

are the cause of several murder cases in Nanhuai City,

while the Pearl-Devouring Beast you saw just now

is the third Gu bug.

In addition,

someone used Gu bugs to destroy the evidence

so as to rebel.

This person is my uncle,

Prince Rui, Shi Long.

Long, you...

Your Majesty.

I can testify for Her Highness.

We were ambushed

right after we found this letter.

Long.

How do you explain it?

Your Majesty.

I'm innocent.

Those murder cases

have nothing to do with me.

Please investigate it, Your Majesty.

Why did you save me?

Senior.

The truth has come to light.

Prince Rui conspired to rebel.

We need to gather

everyone possible

to help Her Highness.

By the way,

where is Yun Zhan?

I'm still looking for him.

Do you know where he is?

Stabbing in the back?

What kind of hero are you?

Brat.

What are you doing here?

Old man.

I said

I would take you away openly.

Openly?

I think you are here to kill us

on behalf of Prince Rui.

An.

Your two followers

have shown their true color.

Are you sure you want to keep pretending?

Old man.

Look at this man.

Doesn't he look familiar?

Shi Long.

You are audacious in the extreme

to rebel.

The evidence is solid.

What else do you have to say?

Your Majesty.

I really don't know how to defend myself.

Today, in front of all the officials,

I swear with my life

that my desire to rebel

has disappeared years ago.

Your desire to rebel?

Explain it!

It's been 20 years.

I thought it had long been buried.

When Your Majesty ascended the throne,

I was under an obsession of power

and became disloyal.

At that time, I gathered a group of eccentric artists,

including wizards who kept Gu bugs,

Heluo people who were good at forging weapons

and astrologers who knew the destiny.

After maintaining close connections with them,

Prince Rui had been preparing to rebel.

Before the action was carried out,

Shi Long was afraid of the leakage of information,

so he decided to kill the pawns

who have been working for himself.

The one who helped him kill

was the best assassin in Novoland

who was known as Tayewusheng.

That is my master,

Yun Mie.

How do you know these things?

Are you okay?

Shi Long's plan changed again.

My master

should have killed all of them.

But at the critical moment,

he showed his sympathy.

Those who haven't been killed

should be what Shi Long called the price that my master needed to pay.

Back then,

the descendants of those who were killed by Shi Long

wanted to reproduce what happened 20 years ago.

In the name of Shi Long,

they contacted some wizards,

merchants,

astrologers and craftsmen

to mislead the people

that Shi Long wanted to rebel again.

And then killed them.

Then they misled Shi Qiutong step by step

to frame Shi Long for rebellion.

The reason why you intimated my master and I

to kill Mr. Chen with Tianluo Silk

is that you knew Her Highness could control us

after the incident

to cut off Shi Long's backup

so as to prove he was guilty.

Someone must have framed me.

Please investigate it thoroughly, Your Highness.

Please investigate it thoroughly, Your Majesty.

Donglin.

Where is Mr. An?

Your Highness.

Someone reported there was a strange noise in the direction of the prison.

Many men in black

headed towards Luoyan Forest.

Luoyan Forest?

Oh no.

Mr. Yun.

I didn't expect

you saw through the scheme

that I've been planning for years.

But there's one thing

I don't understand.

Do you want to know

when I started suspecting you?

Yes.

The night before I visited Mei Luo.

Shi Qiutong locked me up in the morgue.

When I was half awake,

I smelt something familiar.

That

is the smell of your Light Feather Arrow.

On the night Mei Luo died,

everyone thought

there was something wrong with the food and wine I ordered for him.

But I knew it clearly.

I checked the food and wine.

You were the only one who touched Mei Luo

before this.

Miss Xiaoming.

Where are you, Miss Xiaoming?

Miss Xiaoming,

I want to ask you a question.

I...

The Light Feather Arrow.

I will come back to you.

Even among the people of Heluo Tribe proficient in craftsmanship,

Mei Luo could also be considered a top craftsman.

I'll wait for you to come back.

The Light Feather Arrow for long-distance use

must be made by him.

While in Nanhuai City,

only one person

is proficient in archery.

In order to avoid being invaded by the Gu bugs,

I guess you had to form a seal on your body.

So the most direct evidence

that can prove you are the murderer

should be hidden under your arm armor.

What a pity.

What a pity.

Now I just need to kill you two.

Then the story you just told

will remain a secret forever.

It really was you.

It's hard to resist the fate designated by the stars.

The story the princess will hear

will only be like this.

Shi Long wanted to kill the assassins he hired.

I took my men there

but I failed to stop him.

An Xuewu,

just stop.

This has nothing to do with others.

I deserve it.

Bro, please let me go.

For the sake of our years of friendship,

please spare me.

Besides,

I've already...

I've already

brought the two astrologers to you.

I...

I swear

I will never appear in Nanhuai City again.

Mei Luo,

you traitor!

When the mask was broken,

I realized

-this woman saved me before. -Mother!

-But it was too late. -Mother!

Mother!

She already died due to my Tianluo Silk.

Mother!

After killing the woman who saved me,

I withdrew

from the organization.

I understand your pain of losing your parents.

But if you kill innocent people like this,

more families will be destroyed.

You don't understand our pain at all!

Twenty years ago,

in order to strengthen their power,

the people in power sacrificed our parents.

All of us

became orphans all over Novoland.

And now,

I must make the people

who destroyed our families back then

pay with their lives.

An Xuewu,

why are you so stubborn?

Taking revenge is a path full of blood!

Once we step on the path,

there's no turning back.

So today,

either you die

or I die.

Since I'm the cause of this,

I should end the Star Calamity.

Old man.

Old man!

Old man!

Old man.

Old man, are you okay?

Old man.

The Star Reincarnation.

Now,

it's over.

Xuewu,

just stop.

It's not too late.

Princess,

what did you say?

I don't understand.

On the surface of your boots,

there is light brown soil.

It's what the soil in the bamboo forest is like before the rain.

The dark brown soil

under your boots is the same as mine.

It's from the bamboo forest after the rain.

It means you've been here before.

I didn't expect

that I underestimated you.

After going through a lot,

I didn't expect

that you are the real murderer either.

Mr. An,

just stop.

No.

Everything

is not over yet.

Go!

Take them down!

Even ants

strive to stay alive.

Humans

should cherish their lives.

This ending

is also a kind of freedom.

What are you talking about? Stop talking nonsense.

Stop talking nonsense.

If you die,

who will take me to eat and drink for free?

Remember,

don't let... hatred

con...

continue.

Old man!

Xuewu,

if you surrender now,

I will ask my father to give you an explanation.

Your father,

the emperor of Yan.

He's always absent from the court and incompetent.

If it weren't for such a foolish emperor

who indulged the treacherous officials,

innocent people like us wouldn't have been implicated.

Since you've held a grudge against my father for a long time,

why did you pretend to love me and marry me?

I didn't.

My love for you

has always been real.

In this world, many things are beyond our control.

Take you as an example.

You're a princess, but you can't do whatever you want.

If I were you,

I would return to the palace immediately.

So maybe

you can see your father for the last time.

Take care of yourself.

Xuewu!

Yun Zhan,

my father is in trouble.

Take me back to the palace.

Please.

Please show mercy, Your Majesty.

Please show mercy, Your Majesty.

Long,

since you are loyal,

feed the Pearl-Devouring Beast for me.

Show me

and the officials

how wonderful Yunzhou's treasure is.

Guards.

Brother!

Brother!

This smell is so fragrant.

Father.

All these years,

I've pretended to be sick

and never cared about state affairs.

I just wanted to see

who would

covet my throne

when I spent time with flowers and plants.

So,

even my wedding

was fake.

In the court,

what is true?

What is fake?

If it can stabilize the court situation

and intimidate the prince,

the princess's wedding

and the lives of the officials

are not worth mentioning.

Even so,

it's not your reason for killing innocent people.

Tong,

you will

ascend the throne one day.

I have to make sure

everyone in the court is loyal.

People are unpredictable.

I am teaching you

how to become a real emperor.

I don't want

such a country.

Tong.

Tong!

How dare you!

No one can leave without facing me!

Tong.

Tong.

Tong!

When I was little, I thought the old man

was just a drunkard.

Until one day, I suddenly found out

he had unique skills.

So I kept pestering him and asked him to teach me.

At first, he didn't want to.

He said once martial artists

hold a knife,

they will definitely hurt themselves in the end.

Because the stronger you are,

the easier it is for you to become your opponent's knife.

So,

he just wanted me to live my life

as an ordinary person.

Actually, it's good to be an ordinary person.

I knew I'm not ordinary when I was born.

So since I was little,

I've never expected myself

to spend time with my father like ordinary people.

My happiest time

was when my father was explaining

how to grow flowers and plants

with different types of soil to me.

Because only at that time,

I would think

this is how families get along.

But now it seems

even this is fake.

Unfortunately,

the secret of the Star Calamity

was still found by An Xuewu.

I couldn't save the old man in the end.

I've seen

too many partings since I was little.

So to me,

this kind of scene is just a part of life.

What do you plan to do next?

I can't

go home.

Come with me.

Do you know

Tianqu Warriors?

Demon Lord will keep testing your loyalty.

Only by passing the tests,

can you gain the power of Demon Lord.

Then?

Then,

you can use this power

to overturn the entire Novoland.
