[NARRATOR] To avoid destruction
from an alien attack,

Captain Gloval gives the order
to perform a fold operation.

However, the resulting
space-time warp

has transported
not only the SDF-1,

but part of Macross Island

and even some of
the surrounding ocean,

far out into space,

depositing everything

somewhere near
the orbit of Pluto.

The entire population of
the island is now sheltered,

somewhat uneasily,

inside the gigantic
battle cruiser.

Slowly, the inhabitants

have picked up
the pieces of their lives

and are now doing their best to
return to a normal lifestyle,

if you can call
living inside a battle cruiser

floating in the middle
of space normal.

We wasted half the day
standing in line for this.

- -We were lucky to get anything.
