[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

[Episode 39]

Everyone,

you are all disciples of the Wansheng Clan

and the loyal people of Nanyin.

Our clan has been hiding for more than 100 years.

Now,

it's finally the day

to revive Nanyin.

We will pray to the heavens,

sacrifice Sui and Yan

for fire.

Pray for the prosperity

of Nanyin

and great success.

Congratulations, My Lord.

Congratulations, My Lord.

I've finally come this far.

Today, I will wear

the supreme robe of Nanyin

[Five Energy to Origin]

and make the world bow down before my feet. [Five Energy to Origin]

and make the world bow down before my feet.

Welcome the Karmic Bug!

What are you doing?

You foolish thief,

you won't succeed.

His Majesty and the people

will never forgive you.

Xiaobao.

Fang Duobing.

Princess.

Master! Madam!

Master, are you alright?

I'm fine.

Mother,

I'll leave this to you.

I'm going to find the mother bug.

Xiaobao,

be careful.

Fang Duobing,

you must be careful.

Don't worry.

Protect the princess and Lord Fang.

[Zhurong Hall]

Master.

Master!

Master.

Fang Duobing broke in with his men.

What’s the hurry?

Fang Duobing.

This unfilial child is always going against me.

I've spared his life once.

How dare he come here again?

What should we do now?

Master, please tell me.

As long as the Karmic Bug is in my hands,

they can't succeed.

I'll leave this to you.

Okay.

[Zhurong Hall]

My junior,

I was looking for you

and you came to me obediently.

Shan Gudao,

you look so ugly

in these clothes.

What was the saying?

You don't look like an emperor even in the imperial robe.

How long do you think you can be a hero for?

Open your eyes and look around.

My men are everywhere.

Everything is under my control.

You think the few of you can stop me?

Today, I want you to see

how I will rule the world.

The ritual outside has failed.

I guess Fang Xiaobao has destroyed your mother bug.

I'd like to see how you can rule the world,

now that the tides have turned.

[Fly to the Sky]

Sigu Sect.

Great that you know.

Go!

Protect the princess and the civilians.

I'll go help them.

Yes.

The Shaoshi Sword specializes in killing criminals

and eliminating evils.

Today, I will help Master

cleanse the sect.

Since you want to die,

I'll grant your wish.

You killed Master.

How dare you still use his internal power?

You have no right.

Fei,

you don't have to interfere.

Today,

I'll take revenge

for our master

and the debt of Sigu Sect.

Today, I will use your head

as sacrifice for my success.

Your skills have improved a lot.

Li Xiangyi,

you really surprise me.

It's just 20 or 30% of what I had before,

but it's enough

to defeat you.

Then I'll let you taste

our master's most powerful skill.

This is the solution that I got

from Jiao Liqiao.

The child bug dissolves into the blood when in a human body..

Although that can't be remedied,

we can kill the mother bug.

Once the mother bug dies,

the child bug won't be a threat anymore.

How can we kill the mother bug?

Ashes to ashes,

dust to dust.

The blood that created the child bug can kill it.

The current Karmic Bug

was created by Princess Nanyin 100 years ago.

In other words, it was created by Consort Xuan.

If we can a descendant of Consort Xuan,

we can destroy the mother bug.

Shan Gudao?

Let me do it.

Why is there no response?

You...

You managed to break through my Celestial Sword Cut.

As I thought,

Master only taught you all these techniques.

This is Master's Carefree Independent Sword.

It's the first set of sword techniques

our master taught us.

Impossible.

Impossible.

You can't defeat me

with a beginner technique.

Don't think I'll believe whatever you say.

There's no need to go all out to defeat you.

It was like this in the past

and the same today.

I used to let you win.

Now,

I'll use Master's first lesson

to cleanse the sect.

So what if you can win me in martial arts?

In the end,

the whole situation is still under my control.

In the end, I'm still the winner.

Just wait to die!

Xuanyuan Xiao, protect me!

Fang Duobing,

you unfilial son!

I got the mother bug.

Are you okay?

I'm fine

Di,

extract the blood.

The mother bug was made by Princess Xuan's blood.

Master is of Princess Xuan's bloodline.

Why can't his blood counter the mother bug?

Why?

How could this happen?

It seems that the heavens are helping me.

At this point,

let's see what you can do to me.

Go!

Madam.

-You can put it down. -The mother bug dissolved.

Why?

How could it dissolve?

What's wrong with me?

Why?

Only Princess Xuan's bloodline

can destroy the mother Karmic Bug.

Could it be...

Could it be...

Is Li Lianhua

the true descendant

of Prince Fangji and Princess Xuan?

Impossible.

Absolutely impossible.

I have Consort Xuan's token.

Nanyin's totem is engraved on the jade pendant.

Look.

Take a good look.

I am the descendant of Consort Xuan,

the Supreme Lord of Nanyin.

Feng Qing, you recognized me because of this.

Also,

this scar on my wrist

is the important clue you've been looking for.

Do you dare to say

I'm not the one you're looking for?

Ridiculous.

Shan Gudao,

do you really think you're a nobleman from Nanyin?

You were just a little beggar

Qi Mushan and I

took from a group of beggars.

I can tell you now

what really happened.

Back then, Qi Mushan

and Li Xiangyi's father were best friends.

The Li family used to live in seclusion.

But one day, in order to save someone,

they angered the bandits in the mountain.

The bandits attacked the Li family overnight

and killed the Li family.

Only two sons survived

and were left on the streets.

After Qi Mushan and I found out about the disaster,

we searched for the two sons.

Unfortunately,

when we found them,

Li Xiangxian, the eldest son of the Li family, had passed away from sickness.

This jade pendant is all I have.

I'll give it to you.

Please take care of

my little brother, Xiangyi.

Li Xiangxian.

My brother?

Two sons.

There were two sons.

-We had no choice but bring back -Xiangxian.

Li Xiangyi, who was less than four years old, from the group of beggars,

and

the little beggar who was close in age to Li Xiangxian

that guarded Li Xiangyi.

Is this Xiangxian?

Who are you?

Who am I?

-You are Shan Gudao. -What is this?

I'm Li Xiangyi.

You said you would be my brother.

That jade pendant belongs to you.

This little beggar was you.

Nonsense!

It's all nonsense.

How come I never knew about this?

Madam,

are you lying?

Fine.

Let me ask you.

How much do you remember from the times

before we took you to Yunyin Mountain?

You don't remember, do you?

When your master and I saved you,

your hand was injured.

This injury on your wrist

caused you to have a high fever and fall unconscious.

When you woke up,

you lost most of your memory.

As for Xiangyi,

he was still a child.

He was not old enough to remember things,

so it's natural

he can't remember some things.

The Feng clan

have searched for Princess Xuan's descendant

for over a hundred years.

Until 20 years ago,

we learned that Princess Xuan's grandson

had a ten-year-old son

studying under Qi Mushan.

With this clue,

the royal Nanyin jade pendant,

and the mark on his body,

I welcomed back my master.

In the end, it's all wrong.

Li Lianhua,

you are my true master.

This was why Shan Gudao's blood

didn't work on the Karmic Bug.

Only Li Lianhua's blood could destroy it.

I don't believe it.

I don't believe anything you say.

I don't believe a word you say.

Madam,

it's been ten years.

Do you know how much effort I put in?

What about you?

You just say it's a misunderstanding

and a joke.

I think you are the laughingstock.

And you, Li Xiangyi.

Why should all the good things belong to you?

No one has ever competed with you.

It's just your own obsession.

I want to tell everyone

the martial arts world is mine.

The world is mine.

It's all mine.

If I can't have it,

no one can have it.

Now that you lost all your martial arts,

and your meridians are all broken,

I hope you'll act in your best interest.

Mine...

Everything is mine.

Mine.

Everything.

Everything.

Everything.

Is...

[Fire God Palace]

Thanks to all of you,

a disaster was prevented.

I am extremely grateful.

Lord Fang,

you're welcome.

Silly,

no need to act so polite.

Ridding the world of evils

is our duty as members of the martial world.

Fang Duobing,

it's all thanks to you this time.

I didn't expect

you to be a good hero.

After I return to the palace,

I will tell Father everything

and ask Father to reward all of you.

Everyone,

the Imperial City Division came to report

the situation in the palace

has been secretly settled

by His Majesty.

Then we will go to the palace to see His Majesty first

and thank you all in the future.

Mother, you can go back first.

I want to be alone for a moment.

Why don't you check on him?

So many things have happened.

Give him some space.

[Palace]

[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

What are you doing?

Are you feeling better?

Here.

Have a piece of candy.

He's my biological father, after all.

I still feel bad

seeing his tragic end.

If...

There's no if.

No need to look back.

Xiaobao,

you've improved a lot

through this journey.

Compared to back then,

when you were a kid

using a wooden sword

and claiming to be Li Xiangyi's student,

you're much stronger now.

As your teacher,

I am very pleased.

Stop taking advantage of me.

I'm not your student.

You don't respect your master at all.

Then, Master,

what do you plan on doing now?

I need to find some pieces of wood

to repair my shabby building.

After repairing your shabby building,

what then?

Director Di.

Director Di,

you need to fix your bad habit

of eavesdropping.

You've done everything you wanted to.

What’s your next plan?

From now on...

Look.

I'll find a place to get some sun.

I'll go fishing.

How comfortable!

I won't let you live such a carefree life.

Styx Flower.

First, it's to repay you.

Second, it's to remind you

that we have another battle.

I thought we're friends now.

So what if we're friends or foe?

Don’t try to cheat in our battle.

The Styx Flower and Yin and Yang leaves are all here.

The Yin Leaf is too strong alone.

You'll die from your Genuine Qi exploding.

If you take it with the Yang Leaf,

it can cure this aggressive effect

and remove the poison in your body

to save your life.

Director Di,

you searched for this all your life.

You're willing to give it to me?

See you at the East Sea

in half a month.

The great battle at the East Sea half a month later?

I was right.

Di Feisheng

is giving up on his own wish

for you to live on.

At least he has a conscience.

Li Lianhua,

after struggling for so long,

you finally have the Styx Flower.

Your poison can finally be detoxified.

The Styx Flower is indeed a magical cure,

but I've had the Bicha Poison

for many years.

The Styx Flower

has at most

a 30 percent chance to cure it.

Even 10 percent is a chance.

Let's go find Guan Hemeng now.

He must know how to use the Styx Flower.

Why should we find Guan Hemeng?

I'm a miracle physician, aren't I?

You...

But recently,

my internal power is unstable.

I need to adjust it

before the Styx Flower can be used.

Don't worry.

Fine.

It's indeed not good to feast after starving.

I'll put the Styx Flower away

so that you can recover in peace.

No.

I have to find a Thousand-gear Lock first.

This way, no one will try to steal the Styx Flower.

Don't worry.

With you guarding it,

no one can steal it.

We have to make sure nothing goes wrong

so that we can be more at ease.

I've thought about it.

After you detoxify the poison,

we'll solve all the mysterious cases

and explore the martial world together.

Come on.

To encourage you,

here's candy for you.

I wish you longevity

and for all illnesses to be cured.

Thanks.

I'll do it myself.

[Tianji Mountain Manor]

Mother. [Tianji Mountain Manor]

[Tianji Mountain Manor]

You're finally back.

Yang is here too.

Fang.

Li.

Your father went to the palace to care for the emperor and still isn't back.

The seasons are changing soon.

I wonder if he brought enough clothes.

So,

Lord Yang was passing by.

I asked Lord Yang to bring some clothes

for your father.

Care for the emperor?

My father has been in the palace for this long?

Lord Yang,

how is His Majesty?

The Imperial Hospital gave many prescriptions.

His Majesty is getting better,

but he has been in low spirits.

He still needs to rest in bed.

Fortunately, several lords

are accompanying His Majesty these days.

It's just that Lord Fang will be unable

to leave the palace for now.

I have work to do,

so I’ll take my leave now.

Take care.

Yang.

Li.

Are you able to

bring people to see His Majesty in the palace?

Your Majesty, greetings from Fang Duobing.

Fang Duobing?

Official Fang,

you are a cultured and educated man.

How could you

name your son like this?

Your Majesty,

I wasn't home when he was born.

My wife said

he was sickly

and might not survive,

so she nicknamed him Duobing.

After that,

we never gave him an official name.

Official Fang, you are loyal to the country,

but you treat your wife and children so lightly.

It's inappropriate.

How dare you!

At this point,

you still dare to hide it from me?

Fang Duobing is the son

of the rebel, Shan Gudao.

Am I wrong?

Your Majesty.

My son didn't know much about his background before.

He has no connections with Shan Gudao.

Your Majesty.

I know my birth father, Shan Gudao, committed a grave crime.

As his son,

I can't escape punishment,

but this has nothing to do with the Fang family.

Your Majesty, please be just.

If you wish to punish someone,

please punish me alone.

I will accept it willingly

and without any complaints.

Father,

this isn't what you said before.

If it weren’t for Fang Duobing

and the others who came to help,

the consequences would be unimaginable.

You can't punish the Fang family.

Silence.

Guards!

Take the princess and Minister Fang away.

Father.

Rise.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Fang Duobing,

you say you want me to punish you alone?

But you can't clear the others' crimes

just with your words.

Please enlighten me, Your Majesty.

I heard that the son of the Fang family

has improved greatly.

He solved many cases in the martial world.

Some of them are related to Nanyin.

Tell me in detail

and I will make my judgment.

Then I will recount everything I have seen and heard

from the beginning.

More than a hundred years ago,

Nanyin was destroyed,

but the imperial family's followers did not give up.

That's the whole story.

How did you know about this?

We started investigating after we discovered

the first Rama Heavenly Ice in Yuanbao Villa

and analyzed the clues step by step.

But we did not understand the full story

until we saw the murals

in the Pagoda of Bliss.

Fang Duobing.

You said you saw the murals in the abandoned pagoda,

but I've already sent someone to investigate it.

The abandoned palace has been flattened

and the vanished pagoda had not reappeared.

How can you prove

that you're telling the truth?

Ask His Majesty,

in the palace's recent murder case

that everyone knows about,

what was the cause

for the deaths of Lu Fang's group

and Liu Kehe?

Your Majesty,

there was a murder case in the palace

that caused a great commotion.

Have you found the cause for Lu Fang's group

and Supervisor Liu Kehe's death?

If you don't know,

I have an answer.

Lu Fang's group of four once found

a dried well filled with treasures in the palace

and mistook it as the legendary Pagoda of Bliss.

When Shan Gudao heard about this,

he became greedy.

He captured the four to seize the treasures

to strengthen the Wansheng Clan and dominate the martial arts world.

Fortunately, Supervisor Liu Kehe

discovered this in time.

He killed the four people

and protected the order in the palace,

but he died, unfortunately.

Shan Gudao's scheme failed

and was finally executed.

This is the truth of the Pagoda of Bliss

and will be the truth in historical records.

This is the whole truth of the Pagoda of Bliss case

and a truthful recount of everything I know.

Good.

This case was solved well.

I'm very satisfied.

Whether it's the Pagoda of Bliss,

or treasures,

this matter is over now.

If you leak a single word out,

I'll kill the entire Fang family.

Yes.

All right.

Ask your friend outside to come in.

Although I'm old,

my mind is still clear.

I pardon you for trespassing the palace this time.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Fang Duobing,

you may leave.

I want to speak to Li Lianhua alone.

Well...

[Imperial Study]

His Majesty's decree. [Imperial Study]

His Majesty's decree.

The Fang family and Tianji Hall Sect contributed to saving His Majesty.

Fang Zeshi, Minister of the Ministry of Revenue,

is loyal and virtuous.

He is granted a thousand acres of land

and ten thousand taels of gold.

Considering his contribution in accompanying the emperor,

he is allowed to leave the palace for a rest.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

I knew Father would be a fair emperor.

Fang Zeshi's son, Fang Duobing, is wise and brave.

He is talented,

but his ambition is in the martial arts world

and doesn't like the court.

He is granted to travel around the world,

patrol the mountains and rivers for the emperor,

and settle the injustices in the world.

The marriage with Princess Zhaoling will be discussed another day.

Best regards.

I accept the decree.

Will be discussed another day?

Why does Father want to discuss it another day?

I'm going to argue with him now.

Princess.

Thank you for speaking up for me and the Fang family.

But with my current status,

it's no longer suitable

to interact more with you or the court.

Let's say

we are not meant to be.

Fang Duobing, you...

Fang Duobing.

Do you really love the martial world?

Yes.

What if

I can persuade Father?

Would you still be unwilling to stay in the palace for me

and be an official?

Since you don't like it,

I won't force you.

Leave.

I've set you free.

Take care.

Princess.

Who knows

what will happen in the future?

Don't forget your words.

Okay.

I'll wait for you.

When you've experienced enough of the martial world,

come back and be my prince.
