Episode 121

Facing Mu Gu, who had come to snatch Heavenly Flame and the Flame Mantra,

Xiao Yan, with Xuan Kongzi’s help, forced him to retreat.

Xiao Yan learned from Han Feng

that not only was Mu Gu an Honorable Elder of the Hall of Souls, he was also one of the culprits who murdered Teacher back then.

Due to Pill Tower rules,

Xuan Kongzi could only exhort Xiao Yan and other highly capable alchemists

to make sure to stop Hall of Souls members from entering the Pill Tower Top Ten.

The Pill Gathering arrived as promised.

To obtain the Three Thousand Burning Flame, Xiao Yan must enter the Top Ten.

The journey ahead is filled with challenges.

Quickly look!

Five Great Families’ people have come.

Cao Family’s Cao Ying...

she’s the favorite to win this time’s Pill Gathering.

This person next to her

should be Pill Tower’s youngest Elder Song, right?

Dan Family’s genius came as well!

There’ll be plenty of competition to watch in this time’s Pill Gathering.

Hall of Souls people...

where would they be?

What powerful auras.

These three are Pill Tower’s Big 3.

Their strength is unfathomable.

This person must be

the one among Pill Tower’s Big 3 who was in seclusion for many years.

the one among Pill Tower’s Big 3 who was in seclusion for many years. Xuan Yi

Xuan Yi

I am Xuan Kongzi.

On behalf of the Pill Tower, welcome to all alchemists who have come to this place.

Everyone has traveled a long way to join the Pill Gathering.

I won’t waste time then.

The Pill Gathering is the same as before,

divided into three selection stages.

The first stage:

Soul Fantasy Realm.

Competitors who leave the Fantasy Realm within the allotted time

will directly enter the location of the second selection, Pill Realm.

Those who get lost within the Fantasy Realm shall lose the qualifications to compete.

Little Friend Xiao Yan,

passing the first stage may not be difficult for you.

However, it is better to be careful.

Alchemists who enter the Pill Realm

will receive a checklist of medicinal ingredients.

Only by gathering all the listed medicinal ingredients can you exchange them for a Spatial Stone

and participate in the final stage, the pill refining competition.

The champion this time not only gains a spot as a candidate leader of Pill Tower,

they can also obtain an ancient Soul Cultivation Method scroll.

Stepping into Tier 8 or even Tier 9 Alchemist would be within your sights.

Tier 8, or even Tier 9?

Goodness!

If I could obtain an ancient Soul Cultivation Method,

becoming a legend would no longer be a foolish dream!

The candidate leader spot will be mine!

The rank of champion,

no matter what, I should try for it.

Good.

This is the kind of fighting spirit you should have.

The Pill Gathering

officially begins!

All competitors Tier 5 Alchemist and above,

please enter the first stage:

Soul Fantasy Realm.

Will those fellows come?

Three Thousand Burning Flame is far from what an ordinary Heavenly Flame can compare to.

Tian Leizi Hall of Souls will definitely come to join the fun.

Hall of Souls will definitely come to join the fun.

Among the younger generation,

there are many incredible figures.

I believe they won’t let the Hall of Souls succeed.

However,

what I’m most curious about

is Xiao Yan,

just how far can he go.

Xiao Yan?

That champion from the Five Great Families examination?

Correct.

He is also a disciple taught by Yao Chen.

Yao Chen...

According to what Xiao Yan said,

Yao Chen’s spiritual body

has fallen into the hands of the Hall of Souls.

After the Pill Gathering ends,

we need to think of a way to help Yao Chen.

Who let that fellow show off back then?

He clearly knew that the Hall of Souls was targeting him

yet still dared to leave the Pill Tower to roam around.

This kind of outcome is what he deserved.

You speak nonchalantly

but we all know that you’re the one who is most worried about him.

That’s right.

These years,

you dispatched quite a few people all over to inquire about Yao Chen’s whereabouts.

Both of us are aware.

I don’t care whether he lives or dies.

After the Pill Gathering is over,

I want to personally meet Xiao Yan.

No matter what,

he is his disciple.

Come,

come over here.

Beauty,

wait for me!

I’m coming now!

These treasures

are all mine!

This kind of Fantasy Realm

indeed looks troublesome.

This place...

Brat, you only know how to cause trouble;

you scared away all my fish!

Teacher?!

Woke up,

Yan’er?

Woah,

careful there.

Why so agitated?

Father!

You all—

Stinky brat,

quickly come help.

Yea.

If you still don’t put in some work,

the entire family will be hungry tonight.

When kids go hungry, they can’t grow tall.

Fishing is my specialty.

Watch me!

I’ve been fishing for this long;

are there even any fish in this lake?

Hooked, hooked!

Yan’er, not bad, eh?

Kid,

when’d you learn?

It seems like a big fish!

Together!

Yan’er,

this fish is indeed quite large.

be careful.

I don’t believe that we can’t settle this fish today.

Harder, harder;

it’s almost out!

Father,

Teacher!

Father!

Teacher!

Xiao Yan,

you really are useless.

You can’t even keep the people you love most.

Give up.

You can’t do anything.

You can only watch helplessly as they are tormented.

The person who should die

is you.

Do I really

deserve to die?

If you want to save him,

work hard to become strong.

All of his hopes are entrusted to you.

Brother Xiao Yan,

Xun’er is waiting for you.

Xiao Yan,

you are the student Teacher is proudest of.

You’ve indeed run into a problem with your cultivation.

However, men of the Xiao Family never give up.

Little Yan,

whatever happens,

don’t just bear it alone.

Don’t ever stop moving forward.

If someone bullies you in the future, come find me!

I’ll stick out for you.

Father,

Teacher.

It has been a long time since I saw you smile.

I really wish those fantasies were real.

But I know

the path to realizing all this

is still long.

Thank you for supporting me on this journey until today.

You taught me what love is, what responsibility is.

Rest assured.

No matter how dangerous the road ahead is,

I can carry on by myself.

Is this the Pill Realm?

Competitors who pass the first stage,

after entering the second stage, Pill Realm,

shall receive a Pill Realm map

and a Spatial Stone.

Gathering all medicinal ingredients marked on the map

counts as passing the stage.

If you encounter a life-or-death situation,

crushing the Spatial Stone will transport you out of the Pill Realm.

Preserving your life as such also means failing the stage.

Such a vast Pill Realm;

trying to find three kinds of rare medicinal ingredients here is far from easy.

Based on the map’s markings,

this place should be Ten Thousand Medicine Mountain Range.

It’s actually a 1,000-year Polygonatum Root.

Teacher once said that if you can find Polygonatum Root that is 100-year or older,

there must be natural spiritual objects nearby nourishing it;

even more so for this 1,000-year one.

Core Jade Mother?

This jadestone, through calcination by Heavenly Flame,

has an extremely high chance of yielding Core Soul Marrow, which can forge one’s soul.

Hiding for so long,

don’t tell me

you also want to wait until I’ve refined Core Soul Marrow

and have me deliver it to you?

A natural treasure,

all witnesses should get a share.

If you hand over the Core Jade Mother,

Brother will let you leave.

Saying so much bullshit.

It’d have been faster to directly rob me.

However,

robbing treasures from me,

you’re not qualified.

A mere Two-star Fight Ancestor sure talks big.

Brother doesn’t like to use violence,

especially towards handsome little brothers.

Earth Demon Puppet,

beat him up.

No way, right?

Eight-star Fight Ancestor Puppet?

Cauldron Covering Heaven!

Go!

A true man can yield or grow;

mainly, yield!

Can’t waste any more time.

I must hurry and complete the tasks.

Everyone,

presumably, your maps are marked with this place.

However,

in this Ten Thousand Medicine Mountain Range,

there is a Magical Beast that is half a step into Rank 8.

The task target for many of us

should be in its cave.

Therefore, everyone should be clear

that we won’t be able to easily take away the things here.

Rank 8?

Isn’t that comparable to a Fight Venerate elite?

This exceeds the scope of our strength.

What should we do?

Song Qing?

What are they doing here?

Fighting it alone is indeed dangerous.

However, if everyone joins forces to form an alliance,

we no longer need to fear that Magical Beast!

Kneel!

Reporting to King,

these two alchemists who don’t know life and death

trespassed on our territory to steal medicinal ingredients!

Y’all ate the heart of a bear,

the heart of a tiger, and the courage of a leopard?

the heart of a tiger, and the courage of a leopard? Xiong Zhan

Xiong Zhan Daring to steal from my territory?

Who let you eat the courage of a leopard?

Eat this!

King,

we were just planning to steal, we didn’t steal yet!

King,

it’s all that damned Pill Tower’s fault.

Subordinate thinks,

why don’t we kill the chicken to scare the monkey, using this to deter Pill Tower?

See if they still dare to let alchemists enter the Pill Realm!

Then they’ll be yours to handle.

The fine skin and tender meat of these two, whether braised or steamed,

will definitely be delicious!

Why bother with all that?

I think grilling them is easier!

Save me! I don’t wanna die!

My body is nothing but bones, I’m not tasty!

Who is it that doesn’t want to live?

We can join forces.

But what if some people launch a sneak attack from behind?

Right?

I know what everyone is worried about.

We can form an agreement.

Before settling the Magical Beast,

those within the alliance cannot attack their comrades.

Violators

will be surrounded and apprehended by the alliance.

What do you all think?

What Elder Song said is right.

Up until now, there hasn’t been a better way.

I agree to join!

Me too!

I’ll join too!

Me as well!

I also agree!

What Song Qing said does make some sense.

However,

I’m not used to cooperating with strangers.

You again?

Xiao Yan,

looks like your luck isn’t so good after all.

Your Profound Xuan Sect really is a ghost that won’t go away.

Perfect.

I have debts to settle with you.
