I'm a little wary of shauhin.

If shauhin actually is
working with kamilla,

there's one easy way to solve this,

and that is to get kamilla out.

It doesn't make any sense, bro.

Trying to work with
kamilla moving forward

it just can't happen.

- You need to let that go.

You're scaring me, bro.

All of a sudden, David
wants to disrupt everything.

So I need to do whatever it takes

to keep kamilla in this game.

I'm looking a couple steps ahead, and

I see these strong players
taking over the game, and

there's gonna come a point
when they're gonna be unstoppable.

Shauhin.

Ninth person voted out

and the second member
of our jury: Chrissy.

- The tribe has spoken.
- Thank you, Jeff.

I'm chilling, bro. I'm,
like, 100% all good.

Obviously, like, seeing your
name at tribal is never fun.

But I'm chilling. I'm super, super good.

Chrissy went home because

she tried to take a very early stab

at someone that she shouldn't have:

Me.

I don't know why she came at me.

She seemed to be very
upset with all of the muscles.

And I don't know how

that ended up being... Being mad at me.

- I felt like the tribe had my back.
- Absolutely, yup.

And sure enough, the
tribe did have my back.

Yeah.

Every single person

voted for Chrissy except for Chrissy, but

I don't think that it was
unanimous in their hearts.

I think it was unanimous on paper.

- You good?

- I know you look really nervous.
- Yeah.

I was trying to be like,
"you're good, you're good."

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

So... You're a horrible liar. Don't worry.

David is dead to me.

He parades himself around camp

talking about how he's playing
an honest and truthful game.

And he was the one person
who lied straight to my face.

He tried to vote me out,

and David wants to keep all
the strong people in the game

so that he can continue to have

amazing survivor challenges.

This dude is a complete idiot.

He thinks he's out here

for the olympic qualifiers
with him, Eva and Joe.

He's completely forgot
that we're on survivor.

People just use you guys
as shields all the time.

Yeah.

A meat shield.

Somehow, when the
strong people get together,

it's like, "hey, you can't do that."

Yeah.

The last tribal council was cutthroat.

It was brutal.

Personally, I would have
rather have seen kamilla go.

I think she's a bigger threat in this game.

But there seems to be some hesitancy

with voting out kamilla
on the part of Kyle.

Everybody plays this
game in a different way.

But Kyle's been scaring me lately.

Why is he so hesitant
to vote out kamilla?

I got to figure that out.

We need to gather the
wood today, by the way.

Last night, Chrissy went home.

It was a really tense vote,
but everybody voted together,

including those not in the core six.

I'm happy she went home.

I think that it's definitely a better vibe

around camp without her.

And I think

that as long as it's not one
of my people, I don't care.

I mean, Mitch is the
most likely to win one.

Well, I see that.

I'm in backseat on this one, so

I don't... it really doesn't
matter who, to me,

as long as we all do it.

David wakes up and gets

right back to work. He's still hell-bent

on getting kamilla out of this game.

And David has a new number
one, which is Mary, and,

it's David's way or the highway.

And that's just how he kind of operates.

David and I's
relationship really fell apart

when he tried to pressure
me into voting out kamilla.

So I'm feeling pretty pissed off because

kamilla is my number one in this game,

and we work well together.

But it also showed me

that he really wasn't with
me at the end of the day.

I've been riding the middle
very hard in this game,

and I think that's starting to fall apart.

So now I got to play.

So the only way they can
take a shot at you or me is

- by getting her out of the game.
- I know.

They know they can't take us out,

but they're trying to, like,
neuter us or something.

When in reality, me and
you have been rock solid.

So the first thing that I had
to do was talk to shauhin.

And I had to explain to him that

David and Mary don't
trust shauhin and I at all,

because I need to make
this personal for shauhin

so that I don't reveal just
how close I am with kamilla.

They are coming for me.

Mary's trying to take you and I's spot.

She's under... she thought
she could undercut both of us

by taking out kamilla.

That's why kamilla needs to stay, bro.

David and Mary are in trouble

because they pushed too hard too soon.

And they're trying to push kamilla.

And the reason they're pushing kamilla is

because they're afraid of kamilla's

relationship with me.

And so, Kyle's trying to enlist
my help to get rid of Mary.

And I'm down.

Something in my gut tells me

that Kyle and shauhin
are gonna flip on us.

Like, you can't just
ignore all these signs.

There's a blaring neon sign that says,

"they are working together."

Shauhin and Kyle are worrying me.

It-it might not be you, but the four of us.

They're after the four of us.

And it's most likely
gonna be me and David.

There's a wall up with shauhin,

Why all the pushback
yesterday against kamilla?

I feel that David and Mary

are being extremely paranoid.

I get that we're at nine, and that

if one person from our group swaps,

then it changes everything.

But nobody's gonna swap to me.

Like, I feel like I trust all of them.

And so, I'm not liking that

there is this weird extra tension.

- Yeah. Why?
- Okay.

I mean, yeah.

You and Kyle good?

It sucks for the people I
trust not to trust each other.

Please. Like, you guys are so cool.

I want all my friends to be friends.

I think we're beating a
dead horse. We're all good.

What the hell is going on?

David's paranoia has
translated into bullish behavior

towards other players in this game.

And I've had a lot of experience, dealing

with confrontational or
argumentative people

in various circumstances.

I don't like it in the real
world, I don't like it here.

I don't know why you're so-so tense.

Dude, I'm an emotional guy, man.

There's, like, a lot of
things going on in this game.

It's, like, you know...

While I would love to
just remedy this behavior

by talking to him about it, I can't.

So, at the end of the day,

his number... His new
number one's got to go,

and he's got to go soon after.

- All right.

At the taco reward, I
had reached in my chips

and pulled out a tiny little scroll,

and the scroll told me that I
would need to sneak out of camp

the night after the taco reward

in order to get some new advantage.

Once it's finally dark and all
the conversations die down,

I think I can go now.

I'm really excited, but
I need to make sure

that I don't get caught
with my pants down.

So I start creeping my way out of camp,

and I don't think that
anybody sees me go.

I woke up in the middle of the night,

and I see this shadowy
figure, and I realize

it's little old Eva.

Usually, in past seasons, when
someone creeps out of camp,

they have an opportunity
for an advantage,

and Eva just went on reward.

Well, where do they tell you
that you have an opportunity

to go sneak out of camp
and get an advantage?

When you're on reward.

That's what I think is happening tonight.

So, boom. Game on.

So, I'm laying there asleep, and

like a wombat, here comes shauhin,

a bearded man, standing over top of me.

He's staring into my
eyes, and he's like, "shh."

And he grabs my face,
and he whispers in my ear...

"Eva's gone."

And he goes, "she's
been gone for a long time.

Don't fall asleep. Wait
for her to get back."

He's super worked up, but

I am not worried at all about Eva. I'm not.

She's a team player,
and I trust her with my life.

So, whatever it is,
we'll talk in the morning.

Shh.

Once I sneak out of camp,

I walk all the way down the beach,

and I can see that there's these torches

that are lighting a
little area off to the side.

And I am a little worried
because all the journeys

that have been happening this season,

you lose your vote by
going. And I was like,

"it said I'd get an advantage,

but I might be risking my
vote, too, just by being here."

When I walk up, I see

this table waiting for me. And I was like,

"this is crazy."

"Congratulations! This
extra vote is yours."

So, I read the note, and the first part

is that I get an extra vote.

I'm really excited. I'm
super pumped to see this.

I get an extra vote.
And that can be mine or

I can bet it for a safety without power,

where I would pick between two scrolls,

and one would give me
the safety without power

and one would give me nothing,

and I would lose that extra vote.

I'm in the middle, and
everybody trusts me,

but they don't trust each other.

And all hell could break
loose if something goes wrong

with this core group
that I'm working with.

This extra vote is good,

but fifty-fifty shot at having

a safety without power.

Being able to evacuate
tribal and stay safe

that seems like a huge advantage here.

I think I'm gonna risk the extra vote.

I think it's gonna be a
lot more helpful for me

to have a safety without power

than to just have this vote.

So, I'm gonna go...

"Congratulations. You now
have power in the game.

"This advantage offers
you safety without power.

"When Jeff says it's time to vote,

"announce that you have the
safety without power advantage.

"You will leave tribal council immediately.

"You will not cast a vote.

"But more importantly,
you cannot be voted out.

"The last time this can be played is when

there are seven people left in the game."

Okay. That's huge.

But I'm not done yet.

I have another decision to make.

"You can risk it again

by choosing one of the
next three bamboos."

"The sun will be up soon. Good luck."

So now I will get to bet

again if I want, and I
can bet on three scrolls.

So I have a 33.3% chance

of picking a scroll that will give me

a full-on hidden immunity idol.

And they all know I have the idol.

But if I had an additional idol

that everybody didn't know about,

then I'm safe twice,

or can save an ally and
save myself, which is huge.

But now I have to go, "do
I want one of the three?"

Boy. Like, I have an idol,

but, like, two idols? That's big.

And do I get greedy here?

This is a big decision.

And the game is at a really tough spot.

I'm not gonna go for the next step.

I'm gonna stick with this guy.

I feel like I have all the
ammunition right now.

Like, the artillery is full.

I think that I'm sitting

with the most power
in the game, currently.

And that's a great feeling,
but it's also a dangerous one.

I know what you're
thinking. You want to apply,

but you're never going to.

Good news is you don't have to.

This has to stay between the four of us.

- Yeah.

And it told me last night

there would be a
chance for an advantage.

Last night I said, "I am
not worried about Eva."

I wasn't gonna ask her. I
wasn't gonna approach her.

I felt that confident. And what happened?

First thing in the morning,

she's like, "all right, here's what I got."

So I feel good. I'm happy for her.

So I go, like, way down.

I go up in this table, and this table says,

"automatically, you
now have an extra vote.

"Or you can risk it

and you get safety without power."

So I was like, "well, this extra
vote, that's not super powerful.

I think it's better to have
the safety without power."

- Yeah.
- I risk that, grab the scroll,

I get the safety without power.

Eva... two advantages in the game.

I almost blew a gasket last night,

but her telling me

all this information solidifies trust.

She's dangerous to win
this game for sure, but

I trust Eva. I'm not coming for Eva.

The last time I can play
is the tribal before six.

All right.

- Okay. That sounds...
- Got it.

Yup, it's always been kamilla.

- Hey.
- Hey.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

I cannot lose kamilla in this game.

I know that we have different
strengths and weaknesses.

I'm able to sort of
navigate this game socially

and grab information from people,

or at least try to be in the know.

Whereas kamilla, on the other hand,

has a great strategic mind.

And she's also good at solving problems.

So it's been very helpful for
me to bring problems to kamilla

and sort of workshop them together.

So David and Mary...
they want to get you,

and they're coming
after me and shauhin.

we are trying to, like, play

how good we are at

is why they were so strong

about switching it to Chrissy,

and which is why they

he convinced you to do Chrissy.

The last few days, I've been

really trying to build a
relationship with star.

The fact that she's out
here doing it and trying,

it just goes to show you

that anyone can come out here

The swimming

of the breaststroke and
then the moving of the feet

it just reminded me that I definitely got

to sign up for these swim
classes whenever I go back,

because when Jeff calls me,

I promise the next time Jeff sees me,

I will be a swimming pro.

They're way out there.

Some of those spots, they
might even be able to stand.

Things are really tense right now.

a war seems to be burgeoning, and

I still seem to be a person
that's right in the middle

of all of this conflict.

So I just had to talk to Joe about, like,

why I was feeling the way I was feeling.

I wanted to share with
him a couple of experiences

I've had in my life that
might make it difficult

for me to be in sort of
confrontational situations

or very tense situations.

I know I probably look a little different

around camp and stuff like that.

Yesterday and, like, just
the aggressiveness and, like,

- the whole nature of it?
- Yeah.

It just kind of triggered me a little bit.

It was an odd day, but I wanted to

- well...
- Clue you in on this so you don't think

that I'm, like, trying to be

I know you don't think
that, but I know that I can tell

people kind of see a little
bit of a difference in me.

And, like, when I say
yesterday was rough,

I'm actually being serious.
That was, like, a tough day.

Growing up, I was a little
bit of a wild child, and a lot

of that was how I was
doing socially, you know?

I started drinking and
"partying" at a very young age.

As an athlete, as somebody
who was kind of in the in crowd,

like, that's what I did.

And because of that, I also
ended up in a lot more trouble

than... Than the average kid.

You know about my, like, history,

and how I was as a
kid and stuff like that.

We have the same blood in us.

And I got pretty rowdy
for a little bit. You can talk.

Yeah, it's-it's never
really, like, weighed on me.

Like, I have certain
things that, like, hang on...

Right.

That I hang on to because of that.

Like, all my stuff is,
like, -yeah, yeah, yeah.

Nonviolent, like, very
minor misdemeanors.

The charges and the things
that I sort of confronted were

underage possession
of alcohol, you know,

which is drinking
alcohol before you're 21.

You know, like, a
disorderly conduct charge,

you know, for walking down the street

with a beer or something like that.

And, you know, that results

in me having to... to go to
jail for a couple of weeks.

I never thought I had any
issues with that type of stuff,

or, like, sort of those experiences

and how I've, like, come out of it.

But, like, honestly, up until yesterday,

and I don't want to
draw a direct connection,

'cause it's a little different.

It's definitely... And it makes sense.

I'm glad you told me that.
That makes a lot of sense.

You know, most people, if you screw up

or if something happens to you,

you kind of just give up, you know?

You might think, if you're in law school,

and you get sentenced to 30 days in jail

that your life is over,

but that's not the
case for me, you know?

I convinced the judge at that time,

before I actually had to do my sentence

to let me come out on
furlough so I could actually

take one of my exams in person.

I wrote an essay that I
needed to turn in that semester

on a jail computer

in the corner of the room while, like,

my cellmates were
watching game of thrones

behind me on the small TV.

I had my fiancée Maggie
actually bring books to the jail

so I could study.

And how... I even had a
professor come and visit me

while I was in jail

so that I could give her an
in-person oral exam, which I...

You know, and I got
great grades that semester.

And, sharing that with
Joe was really nice for me.

It really kind of let me get
something off my chest.

In a game where I'm lying
about my entire profession,

part of my life, I felt
like I could at least

share one thing about
myself that doesn't define me,

but is a big part of who I am.

To able to share that with Joe,

who I really do trust to be a good person

it was... it was really
game-changing for me.

- I'm sorry, man.
- No.

You know, I imagine
my dad went through

I remember you told me.

He's been... he was in
prison for a little bit, and...

So, I feel for you.

Kyle shared some really deep things

about a little bit of a troubled past,

and places he's been.

And there's been a lot of stress

with Mary and David, and
he's feeling the tension.

And I'm glad that he entrusted me

to just kind of open up and
say why it was a trigger for him.

It's not even David, bro,
to be honest with you.

Just the whole situation of the day,

and, like, the intensity of it.

- Dude, this is getting crazy.
- And-and-and...

And what was my word?
He goes, "well, you should...

You were gonna vote kamilla."

And I said, "David, we talked about this."

- We decided on Chrissy.
- Man...

"And you're trying to mani..."

"You're trying to manipulate me"

"right now 'cause you
know that I value that."

- What is going on?
- And everyone's noticed.

Like, his demeanor has changed

- the last 24 or 48 hours.
- Yeah.

I'm feeling completely
different about David

after that conversation,

about him saying I
went back on my word,

'cause I did not go back on my word.

I know myself. I'm getting super irritated.

And to be honest with you,

I don't like working with this guy.

But I'm trying to play this game

as honorable as possible, I truly am.

But I want to just see
where Eva's head is at.

I wanted to rap with you because

- you're my number one.

And we haven't talked in
a while, it's been so hectic.

And I know, like...
So, here's where I'm at.

Like, I am feeling super uncomfortable

about a few things, and
you're the only person

she's very fond of Mary.

Because I want to make

It doesn't create a good environment

for our group.

The one person that I know is sweet,

and I know is all these things is, like

Mary just gives me a lot of pause.

But I don't want their paranoia to be

I don't understand
why people are starting

to get spooked about
each other, but maybe

I just feel extra safe
because I do have an idol.

have to be trusting here.

And if you hesitate for a moment,

like shauhin just did,

So you're gonna be looking at endurance

Mary drops. She's out.

You're trying to keep that pressure,

but you don't want to give
more pressure than you need to,

because it's gonna exhaust you faster.

So it's a balance of how much is enough.

Kamilla hesitates.

Just a little bit of movement.

Her ball drops.

Mitch's ball is on the move. Mitch drops.

of pain they're in right now.

which is why you got to keep digging,

Shauhin cannot hang in

Each of them have already
won individual immunity.

It will be the second win for somebody.

And it will guarantee you a spot at eight.

I didn't even see it coming.

The challenge can get
you a couple of ways.

You're gonna feel it in your arms.

You're gonna feel it in your biceps.

You've got to stay concentrating.

You've got to stay on that platform.

You step off, you're out.

Your ball drops, you're out.

Kyle, you're off. You
stepped off. You're out.

Kyle's out, and we are down to two.

It is another showdown.

and concentration,

Two stories

the smile on your face,
the despair on David's.

Immunity is yours for the second time.

Once again, safe tonight in this game,

guaranteed to get to eight.

So let's talk about this moment.

The numbers are very small.

This is a big win.

You can see the showdown
again, both of you wanting it.

What does this mean?

It just means that, obviously, each vote,

as you get closer to the end, is pivotal.

So every single one of us

thinks this could be our night.

So I can't explain how important this is.

David, is that part of the despair?

'Cause I've seen you down,

but you're down like
I've never seen right now.

I should have won that.

I had a lot left in the tank,

and I'm not feeling confident today.

I don't think anybody should be

feeling confident
going into tribal council,

unless they're wearing that necklace,

and I should've had it.

And I'm not taking
anything away from Joe,

but I'm just beating myself up over it,

'cause I feel like I
had a lot left to give,

and I made one mistake, and he won.

Sometimes that is all it is on survivor.

One mistake can be enough
to get that torch snuffed.

That will be the case
for somebody tonight.

But before we get to that,

David is really upset
that he lost that challenge.

Mary actually kind of
had to console David

for quite some time.

It looked like... It looked like they were

no, i-i-I'm not gonna say it.

It... they looked like very close friends

in that moment.

It was hard to see David

in that emotional state, but...

Then when I look at
David and Mary together,

it just reminds me how tight they are.

They're a really dangerous pair,

and they need to be split up.

They're definitely planning something.

They have to be planning something.

They absolutely are.

A-Absolutely.

There's a chance that
shauhin has a real idol.

Yes.

I'm thinking shauhin would
use the real idol on kamilla.

Wouldn't you do that, too, right?

Yeah.

When you don't have
that immunity necklace

around your neck,

you do have to look at things
from a different perspective.

Like, you do feel that you
are maybe on the bottom.

And it makes you go
through contingencies,

makes you go through what
could happen, what could go wrong.

You and me... our lives are on the line.

- They're gonna write our names next time.
- Yeah.

They're writing our names.

And if we're wrong, we're wrong.

pretty sure we're right.

And so that's why it has to
be Mitch, because it can't be

I think they're gonna play an idol on her.

And I don't want it to be star

got to work with star.

but I came here to tell y'all

we have a lot of options moving forward.

For some damn reason, David thinks

shauhin has an idol.

I know shauhin has no idol.

But with that being said,

you got to go with the majority
or you're gonna be next.

So, tonight, Mitch goes home.

All of this is delicious.

- He looked so good.

At this point in the game,

my hands have been
tied behind my back,

because I haven't had the numbers.

I haven't had the immunity necklace

to make the moves.

And it's so frustrating, but in survivor,

you don't go out without swinging.

The only thing I'll say about this morning

is just that it's been more of the same.

Because of people's paranoia.

- And it's, like... -Yeah.
- Hard.

That was it. That was what killed me.

When Mitch says that
he wants to go after David,

that got me excited.

We've been gunning for Mary,

but at the end of the day,

the move of taking out
David is a bigger move.

I just have to be careful,

because when you push
too hard, people pull away.

But I have been planting the seeds

to let that move happen for a while.

In order to get the David thing to happen,

this had to start, like,
four or five days ago.

Trying to play a Boston Rob style game.

Nobody can talk to nobody.

You have to sit here
and babysit each other.

David was like, "why
were you talking to Kyle?"

Kyle's in the alliance.

- I thought I could talk to Kyle.
- Yeah.

David wants too many
people in his back pocket.

Someone's gonna have to tell him,

"hey, man, you keep trying
to keep all your pets around,

and, soon enough, they're
gonna come for the owner."

And that is key, because,

all along, you allow the others

to see it for themselves.

- Hello, hello.
- They're back. -Hi!

It feels like a war

that I've already been preparing for.

Welcome to the party, David.

I've been here for a minute.

Let's party.

Something's not right.

The whole pushback against
kamilla made no sense.

And even Joe going back on his word.

Something's going on, Eva.

- Like, I feel it.
- Yeah.

Coming back into camp,

the first person I wanted
to talk to was David,

but he's still saying we can't trust

shauhin and Kyle, who are two people

that I trust very much in this game.

I don't even want to tell shauhin

who we're gonna vote for.

Kamilla said there was a decent chance

that shauhin had an idol.

I think they're gonna
give kamilla the idol,

she plays it herself...

We can do Mitch.

Great. If we're being
paranoid, we're being paranoid.

We still have the
strong six going forward.

Again and again, David
and Mary have been

causing this paranoia

and constantly, like,
attacking my-my friends.

It's really bringing me down,

and I just, I'm not liking it.

Mary and David keep counting
you and shauhin with kamilla.

And they're like, "we
think they have an idol."

"So if there's an idol played on kamilla,

then we know that they're with them."

On principle, right now, Eva, like, I'm

I am considering writing David.

Kyle said to me he might

try to make a move on David.

And my heart sank.

This is someone that we
had had this plan together

about playing an honest and loyal game.

I've been trying to be,
like, diplomatic about this,

but, like, at this point, I don't know.

At the end of the day, I'm trying to get

two loyal people to turn on their alliance.

It's a really delicate
balance that I'm trying to play.

Joe and Eva are both straight up players,

and they don't want to
turn on Mary and David,

but somewhere along the way,

I fell out of David's good graces.

Would you be comfortable writing David,

- if that was, like...
- Of course.

At this point, it's probably the thing

that I'm the most comfortable with.

I-I want to talk to Joe, because I haven't

- had a chance to talk to him at all today.
- Yeah, talk to Joe.

And I want to make sure that
Joe and I are on the same page.

So I'm hoping when Eva talks to Joe,

it's full steam ahead, and
we send David packing.

If I can't get them on
my side, then my game,

while still alive, might be in the gutters.

Talking with Kyle,

he was like, "I think we should do David."

That's really hard for me,
because I know, like, we both

have this thing where we're,
like, we're playing with trust.

I'm with you, so if you're...

- If that's what... I'm sticking to it.
- I'm with you, always.

I hate that I might have to
go against my word to David,

but it's so

hard for me, because I do see
things in very black and white,

like I trust you or I don't.

And here, I'm, like, I trust Mary,

and I trust David for me.

I trust that they are with me,

but I don't know if they're with my people.

I'm good.

As long as you're good,
I'm good. I'm with you.

I don't want anything to damage us.

It is so good to know that I
have someone I can fully trust

in a game where there is no trust.

I'm telling you right now, I'll go home

- before that.
- I'm dealing with

two really hard options right now.

One is I go with this initial plan we had,

where we vote out Mitch.

Outside of the six of us,
he is the most likable player

and the biggest threat
to win this game, but...

There's another option that

is blindsiding someone I trust

and getting out David.

David and Mary have been

creating a lot of paranoia,

but I'm someone who's
always been part of a team,

and I believe that you need a team

to accomplish anything.

And I do still believe
in this core alliance.

And it's a lot to weigh because
this is a big decision here.

And I didn't think I'd have

this decision to make this early on.

Now bring in the members of our jury.

All right.

So, every survivor player knows

that the game is played in stages.

It wasn't that long ago we
were in the merge stage.

And seemingly, like that,

after tonight's vote,
there will be three people

already on the jury

and only eight people left in the game.

So, shauhin, what's
different, fundamentally,

about this phase of the game?

I mean, with this little
number of people left,

it's a lot easier to make
those emotional connections.

And when people are making
those emotional connections,

alliances can be shifting.

That creates paranoia

in the game. And all of a sudden,

things feel tighter.

So then, Joe, what's the key

to being able to play right now,

because you can't get
tighter at this point in the game.

At this point,

to really play well and move forward,

hopefully you did some
work before you came out here

and you know your
strengths and weaknesses.

Specifically, socially.

It's not just how you want to play.

It's about understanding and adapting

to what's changing every day

certain vibe, what's going on
and understanding the mood.

Star, does the game change

with this number of players left?

Do you see people starting to shift?

At this stage, where there's
only but so many days left,

you see it.

It comes to a time where
you're looking for cracks

and just trying to see,
where can I break in?

What alliance can I decipher through?

Is there any way I can get
the crowbar and bust it open?

And who can I switch
or flip or get to my side?

And, Eva, can you feel that happening?

Is there just a sense and energy

where you know things are stirring?

I mean, I feel really solid.

And I don't feel swayed

by this crowbar coming
to crack me open.

Maybe I'm just set in my way,

but I've put a lot of trust in people here.

I'm depending on that trust.

And I'm open to say that,

that I'm locked in to what I want to do.

David, you were the
same way at the last tribal.

You said, "what's wrong
with having a strong alliance

and being public about it?"

Yeah, I mean, obviously,

I was pretty public about it,

and I don't think that's
a bad thing sometimes.

Everybody knows what's
going on for the most part.

We know where the alliances are.

We know the people that
are talking to one another.

And we just have to accept that.

Like Eva says,

"we can be sturdy. We can be strong.

We can stick together."

Shauhin, is there any risk in saying,

like David's saying,
"I'm good and I'm solid."

The risks are that,

if someone wants to
take advantage of that,

that is the way that survivor is played.

The reward is, if you
believe it, if you buy it,

if you think it's the real honest truth,

then it's so rare to find that

that maybe you want to bottle that

for as long as you can.

Mary, that is a really
dicey part of survivor.

You want to survive.
You want to make a move.

You also want to earn a little credit

in front of the jury, but it's risky.

Right, right. And, you know,

it's great when you strike first,

but what if you struck first

when the other person
was never gonna strike?

That is something that

I know I would have a
hard time dealing with.

David, how does.

Mary's idea of whether you should strike,

not knowing if somebody
was gonna strike against you,

align with your approach, which is,

"I'm gonna be straight up,

I'm gonna tell everybody where I'm at"?

It's a risk, like shauhin said,

but I think there is a path to win

by being honest and
being true to your word and

call us crazy

maybe Eva and I will be voted out.

Maybe we'll win,

but if we do make it to the final three

with the game that we're playing,

I think that's maybe

something we've never
seen on survivor before.

And I'm willing to take that
risk and take that chance

just to prove that this game can
be played more than one way.

Kamilla, it's a very bold statement.

David does not back off of it.

He said it last tribal.
He's saying it again.

How does that sit with you?

I think he just needs
to keep the jury in mind.

He might be happy with
the game he's playing,

but are the people that he
puts over there gonna be happy

with that type of game? We don't know.

I don't know if he knows.

Why are you laughing?

Because she's just so straightforward,

and it's, like... I need
to be straightforward.

Kamilla's basically like,

"you're playing your
game, and that's cute,

"but I don't care what
game you're playing

if it doesn't float with me."

Kamilla's basically saying,

"you put me over there,
you ain't getting my vote."

She said it better than me.

Mitch, from your vantage point,

when you can see a path to the end,

- does it start to change - how you play?
- Yeah.

I feel like this game
is constantly changing.

What's so hard is,
like, any given season,

what might work for the person who wins

won't work on the next season.

And it just comes down

to who wants to play with who

and who has voted
together, but you have to

continue to build
relationships and just hope that

what you're doing... Is enough.

Kyle, how about for you?

Yeah, I mean, Jeff,

when you see a pathway to the end,

you're kind of in, like,
"don't screw it up" mode.

I mean, a lot of people just screw it up.

You obviously want to do
what you have to do to win,

but you got to make sure that...

That you get there, at the end of the day.

Kamilla, Kyle's really
talking about adaptability.

You're still having to adapt,

but does it get more difficult?

It is significantly more difficult now.

I-I feel like, you know,

if I was on a different season

with less, like, muscular people,

or if I was on a season
with, like, weirder people,

maybe I'd be doing better socially,

'cause I'm an odd person.

But that's not the season I'm on.

So I do have to adapt because
the rest is out of my hand.

So, shauhin, what were
things like back at camp,

after the reward was over

and people started
talking about the vote?

It did seem a calmer version of chaos.

And did that concern you?

Yeah, I mean, calm
on survivor is terrifying.

And so you don't want
to start running around.

And you don't want to sit in calm.

And you don't want to,
and you don't want to,

- and you don't want to.
- Wow.

And so I'm hoping

that I didn't "don't want to" my way

out of this game.

Joe, how do you deal
with the "don't want to"?

Yeah, Jeff, I think
there's one way to do it,

if you want to run around
and do what you need to do,

but it's also an element of

"I can only control so much."

Yes, there is a ton of what-ifs

and, yes, it scares me
and, yes, it's unsettling,

but if you play like
that, then you'll present

a version of yourself
that isn't really you.

You might be fearful,
you might be over talking,

you might be too aggressive, too passive.

So you try to stick

to who you really are
and just have that trust,

which could bite you in the butt.

So, you know, it's that paranoia again.

And, David, while Joe was saying that,

did you just knock wood?

Absolutely.

Of course.

- I'm not tempting any fate.
- Yeah.

Wow, so we're about to vote,

and you've got a wooden
stool you're sitting on

- and you're knocking wood.
- You know, hey,

you can never discredit
anything you can't disprove, right?

Maybe there is such a thing as fate.

Maybe knocking on wood
does something. I don't know.

So that's why I'm gonna knock on wood.

How'd it feel?

Felt like wood.
