A bomb?

Thanks.

This is a pendant of Lady Liberty.

It symbolizes freedom.

=Episode 14=

(Police)

Please get your license.

What are these electronic parts for?

Gotta check them out.

(Police)

Get off work early and visit your mom.

I know.

Sir, routine inspection ahead.

Please get your license and registration.

Boss, done.

If you can't handle your job,

just get lost!

Fine, I will.

You do your job, and I'll do mine.

You reckless fool!

I'm a grown-up man now.

I'm ready to fight

for you on the frontlines.

From now on, I'll follow your lead at work.

But in life, you need to listen to me

and get back in shape.

Okay, I'll listen to you.

Really?

You promise?

I promise.

Here, let's pinky swear.

Okay.

Keqing,

Dad passed away.

In this world,

I have no family left.

I stayed here all night,

lay down all night,

and cried all night.

No matter how I acted out,

no one in the house

even scolded me.

Keqing,

meeting you for the first time

was the biggest surprise of my life.

It's like fate smiled on me.

I still clearly remember

the hotel room number where we met.

If I could make a wish,

I would wish I'd met you sooner.

Maybe everything would be different.

Keqing,

in this world,

the only person I can trust

is you.

Why?

Because you made me feel something real.

But I lied to you.

It doesn't matter.

I've been to that Japanese eatery.

Keqing,

promise me,

you'll never leave me,

okay?

Jin,

I don't need to stress Azure One's importance.

Lin Yasheng is too young, and he's not a tech expert,

while Gao is

too old to keep up with the development.

Although you stepped down from the administrative role

and I've figured out the explosion,

I'll report to the board...

Come in.

Jin, that's all for today.

I need to meet a friend.

I'll take my leave then.

Thank you, Deputy Mayor Jiang.

I trust you'll handle things well.

Thanks, I will.

Okay, see him off.

We're such a big company,

but Mr. Lin's memorial is so low-key.

This is kinda pathetic, isn't it?

The board wanted to keep it simple

since Azure One is at a crucial stage.

Alright, get back to work.

Mr. Gao,

you've been really good to Mr. Lin.

Even real brothers aren't that close.

Shoulong and I worked together for over 20 years,

side by side, to get here.

I never thought

he'd passed away just like that.

Mr. Gao,

now that Mr. Lin's gone,

no one here has more experience or reputation than you.

You need to lead everyone

and keep moving forward.

Has Deputy Mayor Jiang's schedule been confirmed?

Isn't that the board's decision?

What does Deputy Mayor Jiang have to do with this?

Shoulong Group has been

personally supported by Deputy Mayor Jiang.

His opinion carries serious weight

with the board.

Plus, he's the one who

pushed through the new energy project.

The whole future of Shoulong Group rides on this.

So you tell me, does he have something to do with this?

Where's Vice President Jin?

He's at the city hall.

(Jincheng Municipal Government)

Gao, have a seat.

Deputy Mayor Jiang,

please help Shoulong Group.

What's wrong, Gao? Take your time.

Since President Lin passed away,

Shoulong Group's been leaderless

and in chaos.

Gapung is watching us closely.

I'm worried if this keeps up,

the whole Shoulong Group could be ruined.

Right now, we need someone

who can stabilize the situation.

Do you have any ideas?

I just saw Jin Chuan here.

Technically, he's the best expert we have.

But in management,

especially dealing with Gapung,

I'm not sure he's right for Shoulong.

Alright, I understand.

I'll have the board to consider it carefully.

Deputy Mayor Jiang, I...

Do you have a good candidate?

Not at the moment.

Actually, I did think about Jin Chuan,

but after thinking it over and over,

I don't think he's the right fit for the role.

Okay, I've got it.

I'll suggest it to the board.

Okay.

Then, that's it for today?

Okay, I'll take my leave.

(I don't think I get a chance based on Jiang's response.)

(Viper) Pull yourself together.

It just got started.

(First-Aid Center)

(Operating Room)

My precious girl's out there,

doing such dangerous work.

Tell me, what mother

wouldn't be scared to tears?

Tang Tang.

Ma'am, are you looking for something tangy?

Take care.

Aren't your national security office jobs 9-to-5?

How come you're working late now?

It's so late at night.

If you're hiding something, I won't let it go.

Dig in.

You're not eating?

You made me lose my appetite. I'm not eating.

Seems like we both have secrets

and things we have to bear alone.

I'm sorry.

It's all my fault.

(Stairwell) (Operating Room)

Thank you.

That day I got back to my apartment,

I saw Mom had cooked me a whole spread of dishes.

Every time she comes,

she can't help but refold all my clothes,

even the uniform I've been hiding.

Now, looking back,

she must've known everything all along.

I was the one kept in the dark.

I didn't even know when she retired,

and I even forgot

she lives alone too.

I used to think she was

annoying when she came to me.

She just wanted more time with me.

I guess

she already knew what my work was like.

She just never asked.

I can't even imagine

if she came to the convenience store

to tell me about her breast cancer.

But I didn't dare call her Mom.

(Operating Room)

Aren't mothers all the same?

They know everything.

Wanted to buy candy for her grandson?

How'd she know if I would have a boy or a girl?

Shanshan,

it's close.

What's close?

Close to catching the culprit.

When your mom gets better, spend more time with her.

Then, you can decide on having a boy or girl.

It won't be late.

I can't even with you.

Boss, we're just one part short.

Then we can assemble it.

Section Director Xu,

we've provided customs all the legal paperwork.

Any similar electronic parts

will be held temporarily.

(Electronic Parts) Good.

Please take a look.

These electronic parts

may seem ordinary on their own,

but once assembled,

(Bomb Sketch)

they form a bomb.

A bomb?

Well, judging by its size,

the blast radius shouldn't be large,

still controllable.

(Bomb Type Analysis) But what kind of bomb is it?

(Cutaway diagram) That depends on the missing piece.

So, what is that?

Hard to say.

Tell Feijiang to hold that thing.

And track Peng Yonghui.

Yes.

Where is it?

It's being held.

Being held?

Customs said the paperwork didn't check out.

Can you pay me now?

Get lost.

Boss, the last part was held by customs.

Why?

For some paperwork problem.

That's not the real problem.

I'm afraid this way won't work.

We can't use this method anymore.

It'll be tough to get it in.

There's another option.

We can use 3D printing with some special materials.

But we'll need

an industrial-grade 3D printer.

I'll take care of that.

You prepare the paperwork.

I'll get the printer.

Okay, I'm on it now.

Deputy Mayor Jiang,

we'd really appreciate your support as Shoulong Group moves forward.

Personnel decisions

need to go through the board.

Let's see Mr. Lin off first.

Thanks.

Everyone, stay strong and take care.

Yasheng,

you've got a long road ahead.

Do your best.

Thanks.

What's going on here?

Don't you get it yet?

Young Mr. Lin might be taking over.

Seriously?

I never thought

they'd choose me as president.

I know

you're not interested in this now,

but you can't run from it.

Whether you're in or out,

it makes no difference.

You may not care about Shoulong,

but don't you care about

your father's wish?

Yeah,

my dad's gone so suddenly.

He didn't even get to tell me

what to do next.

Right now,

I'm just worried someone might

take advantage of the chaos.

I think

it's best to back up the most important data

of the company.

Keep it in your own hands.

If something goes wrong,

you'll be prepared.

Class is over.

Stand up.

Goodbye, teacher.

Goodbye.

(It's 3D printed and ready for delivery.)

Sir, all done.

Good job.

I have a gift for you.

This is a pendant of Lady Liberty.

It symbolizes freedom.

Got it?

Yes.

Go find your mom.

Go get the stuff back.

No screw-ups this time.

Cause a stir if needed.

Yes, boss.

(Longhorn)

Feijiang.

Boss, Firer's on the move.

Firer's on the move.

Yalong, update Thunderbolt.

On it.

Danni, alert everyone.

Copy.

(SAD's Firer located. Butterfly to lead tracking. Apprehend if needed.)

Move out!

Get Lu up.

Time to roll!

I just got off shift and laid down.

Wake up, stay sharp.

Access Skynet. Locate Peng Yonghui.

Yes.

(Name: Peng Yonghui, Codename: Firer, Note: Member of SAD)

Found him.

Turn right ahead.

Copy.

What are you doing?

I came in the back door.

Spider, Ant, cover the other exits.

Stand by to pick up them.

Lu, back up Feijiang.

Roger that.

Got a reservation?

We're from National Security.

So what? I'm security too.

Everyone needs a ticket.

Get him a ticket.

Come here.

We're from the National Security Bureau.

We're here for a suspect.

Just say you want in for free.

No shame in that.

(National Security) Take a good look.

Open your eyes!

Sorry, sorry, I just...

Did this guy go inside?

There are too many customers. I don't remember.

Why don't you...

Let's go.

Sorry. Sorry.

Hello, boss?

Boss?

It's noisy and crowded in here. Hard to find him.

Alright, got it.

Watch it closely.

Yes.

Hey handsome, are you alone?

Well, me too.

Hello? I'm here.

Where are you?

I'm at the bar counter in the back.

No, in the booth. Hurry over.

There you are.

It's the locker key.

Can I go now?

Join me for a drink.

I don't drink.

You don't?

Then I won't.

Let's hit the dance floor.

Come on.

Come on, let's go.

Let's go.

Look at you.

What's wrong with you?

Feijiang, close the net. Keep civilians safe.

Tell Thunderbolt to

fall back. Don't blow cover.

Got it.

(Don't expose. Pull back.)

You out here playing with toy guns?

Are you serious?

Firer's out. Follow him.

Feijiang,

it's the last day of three years.

Stay safe.

Copy. Thanks, boss.

Lu, find his contact ASAP.

Copy that.

Pull up the locker footage.

Yes.

(Camera)

Too many people.

Which one is Firer's contact?

Zoom in on this.

That's gotta be him.

Yalong, back up Lu.

Yes.

(HongXing Express)

There he is.

You take there. I'll go here.

Stop! Police!

Don't run!

- Get over here! - Who are you?

- Get over here! - Wait, who are you?

Now, over here!

Stand straight. Don't move.

What do you want?

Take a good look.

We're from JNSB.

What were you doing at the nightclub?

I... I didn't go to the nightclub.

You're still lying?

Where'd you put the locker bag?

I was just delivering it.

What's in it?

I don't know.

Seriously, I really don't.

I'm a designated driver.

I took this side gig

for extra money.

You had no idea what you were delivering?

Show me the order record.

Hurry up.

Over here.

(Delivery Details)

Danni, check it out.

Who placed this order?

Mark it as completed.

Done.

Confirmed. It was Gao Jianguo.

Bring the courier back for questioning.

- Let's go. - What for?

- Just go. - What's happening?

I didn't do anything illegal.

Since Gao Jianguo blew his cover,

if it checks out,

take him in.

Boss, I'm back.

The stuff's fine.

Great, start assembling right now.

Yes.

Are you Gao Jianguo?

We're from JNSB.

(National Security, Hu Feijiang)

Officers, why am I being held here?

What does this mean?

You don't know

why you're here?

I just know

I've got a lot on my plate right now.

I know Shoulong Group's dealing with

both internal and external crises.

I need to go back and fix them.

If you keep me here,

it'll cause huge losses for the Group.

Gao Jianguo,

sounds like you care a lot about

Shoulong Group.

Of course I do.

It's my company, for God's sake.

What...

What do you want from me?

Vice President Gao.

Take a look at these photos.

They look familiar, don't they?

Of course they are.

Then I assume you won't forget

how Shoulong Group grew from a small factory

to what it is now.

Vice President Gao,

you once contributed to the domestic economy

and technology development.

You're a veteran CPC member.

We hope you'll cooperate with us.

Lu, Feijiang,

Gao Jianguo's mindset is shifting.

Keep following that thought.

Alright, let's get started.

Start what?

I really don't know

what exactly you want to know.

Start confessing your crimes.

I have nothing to confess.

Gao Jianguo,

looks like I need to educate you

on the basics of our laws.

Our laws are based on

solid evidence, not just confessions.

We don't

detain people without cause.

You can stay silent

and not say a single word,

but the evidence'll tell us what you've done.

What did you send to Matt?

You know the answer.

We're giving you a chance,

a chance to earn some redemption.

Did you think,

after dealing with Jin Chuan and Lin Yasheng,

you could sit comfortably

as the president of Shoulong Group?

I admit it.

I just wanted to control Shoulong Group.

I just didn't want it

to fall into the wrong hands.

Gao Jianguo,

you've got one minute

to tell us everything you know.

Otherwise, like we said,

you'll never need to say anything.

I really have nothing to confess.

Enough!

Is this the hard drive you smashed in the stairwell?

You thought smashing it

would erase the evidence?

You underestimated the modern tech.

We've recovered all the data.

Gao Jianguo,

take a look at this one,

this one,

(Classified Photo Information) this one,

and this one.

Did you send this information abroad?

Do you realize

what you've done could destroy

the entire Shoulong Group?

You've betrayed your colleagues,

your family,

your beliefs,

and your motherland!

I knew it.

I knew this day would come.

I just didn't expect it

to come so soon.
