[Episode 23]

Yunchao.

Yunchao.

Yunchao.

How do you feel?

I saved you twice,

and you saved me twice.

We are even now.

I'll take you out.

Mother is still angry.

I can't get out now.

When she calms down,

she will let me out.

You must not argue

with my mother again.

But look at you,

you won't even hang on till that moment.

Anyways,

mother saved my life.

If she wants it,

then just take it.

By the way,

where did you get the Cold-Resisting Gold?

Tian Xin gave it to me.

I fear owing others the most.

Anyways, you owe a lot.

If you want to repay them,

then live well

and repay them when you get out.

Don't worry, there is no one else here.

This should be the echo of the wind.

How could the ice walls have an echo?

I was curious when I first came in,

so I took a look.

I found that the ice walls

can refract different sounds.

But it's hard to hear clearly what they are.

Maybe it's caused by the cold wind.

I'll go take a look.

Could it be left by father?

In the past, someone practiced in there

and nearly lost their lives.

Echo Spell!

Father cast an Echo Spell here.

[Tianxing Mansion]

[Grand Boundless Soaring]

Father.

- Lixue. - Father.

Father, you always practice martial arts

and never hang out with me.

Lixue, be good.

I want to cure your coldness as soon as possible.

Then you won't fear the cold

and can play with other children.

Don't you want it?

But I am always alone.

And no one talks to me.

Can't you talk to me for a while?

Lixue, be good. How about this?

I will teach you a spell.

You can seal what you want to say inside.

After I finish practicing, I can open the spell

and listen to you then. Is this okay?

- What a fun spell! - Right.

Father, teach me.

Lixue,

in this extremely cold place,

I thought to create a set of techniques

to deal with your internal coldness.

But I failed.

I am sorry for you

and your mother.

I am useless.

Lixue,

you have to live well.

Bishop Feng,

are you planning to give up?

Master.

The Ice Cicada is actually a pair, mother and child.

He gave you the mother Ice Cicada,

and gave the child Ice Cicada

to his daughter, Feng Lixue.

Lord, you found Feng Lixue

and took ten years to raise the child Ice Cicada.

Now the ten-year period is over.

Lord, why don't you combine the mother and child Ice Cicada?

In this way, it can greatly enhance your power.

Lord.

Why are you here?

I learned

that you are locked up here,

so I came to see you.

I have made a mistake.

It's natural for mother to punish me.

She is not punishing you.

You have the Cold-Resisting Gold to protect you.

It's just for show

to me.

Lord.

If you are still dissatisfied,

you can give me another punishment.

I am

willing to accept my punishment.

Rise.

You have saved Lixue many times.

As her master,

I should

thank you as well.

Don't mention it.

Lord,

you came here today,

I suppose it is not just to thank me.

That's right.

You have always managed the ancient books of the Tianmo Sect.

I have something

to consult you on.

Don't be polite.

Please, Lord.

Do you know that in this world,

there is something called

Ice Cicada?

Ice Cicada?

It is the most evil thing in the world.

It is said that if one can combine the mother and child Ice Cicada,

he can obtain supreme power.

So, how do we combine a separated pair of Ice Cicadas?

Master.

Where did you go?

I wanted to meet Xu Yuan Yunchao,

but didn't expect

that I couldn't see him.

This time,

Xu Yuan Wushuang was sensible,

which spared him from my severe punishment.

If he dares to make the same mistake again,

he won't be let off as easy as today.

However,

if you listen to me

and change your mind,

I will immediately release him.

I will hold a banquet at Tranquility Palace tomorrow

to announce something important.

Dress up formally and attend.

What important thing?

You will know it tomorrow.

Prepare well.

Master,

does my father's death

really have something to do with you?

Jianchuan.

In the medicine that the Sect Leader took,

only one herb is new.

After taking this, he immediately vomited blood.

The key lies in

the new herb you brought back.

Do you have anything to say?

Master Xuan Zhen, and all the masters,

that herb was indeed picked by Senior Brother Lu from the back mountain.

He thought it could help with Master's ankle injury.

Moreover, that herb is hemostatic.

How could it be poisonous?

Right, Senior Brother Lu?

I have nothing to say.

Jianchuan, if you have any grievances,

clarify it in front of us.

We can also

find out the source of the poison.

If you keep silent,

are you really going to acknowledge

that you poisoned the Sect Leader?

Senior Brother Lu is very devoted to Master.

How could he poison Master?

We know your devotion

to your Master.

However, there is an issue with this new herb.

If you know anything,

say it now.

So, we can find out the truth as soon as possible.

Yes, Senior Brother Lu,

say something.

I didn't do it.

I didn't harm Master.

You!

What's the point of denying it?

Where is the source of the poison?

What's going wrong?

You should at least say something.

Alright, Xie.

Be patient.

We are not accusing Jianchuan,

but just hope to find some clues from him.

But I think the priority now

is to treat the Sect Leader first.

Alright,

you three were scared today. Go back.

Tell us if you have anything new.

- Yes. - Yes.

Alright, go ahead.

- Ce. - Father.

- You're back. - How is the Sect Leader?

What's wrong with Senior Brother Lu?

It's a long story.

You just got back. Take a rest first.

I'll explain it to you later.

- Okay. - Go ahead.

Greetings, Star Lord Shaohao.

What's the matter?

The Lord asked me to deliver the attire to you.

Please dress up and head to Tranquility Palace for the banquet.

Did the Lord mention what it's about?

You'll know once you get there.

You are so beautiful.

Lord.

Feng Lixue colluded with the disciple of the Shushan Sect

and destroyed our sacred artifact, the Suyu Tripod.

Her crime deserves death.

I have already confined Xu Yuan Yunchao to the Dragon Stone Cave,

enduring the punishment of extreme cold.

Although Feng Lixue is your disciple,

please do not shield her.

Star Lord Xu Yuan.

What do you want then?

Throw her into the Demonic Abyss

as offerings.

Spirit Pool?

It's like sending her to die.

Yes.

Today, I hold this banquet and invite you all here

because I have something important

to announce.

Star Lord of Shaohao Palace, Feng Lixue

is about to become

the Demon Queen.

Soon, I

and Feng Lixue

will hold a grand wedding.

Congratulations, Lord.

♫ Your face is bright under the remaining moon behind the screen ♫

♫ Clouds gather and fog swirls, I crave that one glance ♫

Star Lord Xu Yuan.

Are you trying to throw

my Demon Queen

into the Demonic Abyss?

♫ The returning swallows' bell toll chisels my heartstrings ♫

♫ Fingers linger over that page with ease ♫

♫ Words are familiar, tone hard to distinguish, leaving it to fate ♫

♫ Separation and reunion unfold amid the wind ♫

♫ The smoke disperses, emerging in dreams ♫

♫ The sword in my eyes, the thread in my heart, inseparable ♫

Is this why you don't want to leave with me?

♫ Fallen flowers rise, the flowing water is indifferent ♫

♫ The flowers gathered is like a dream, also like you ♫

♫ Even if wordless for a moment, I have mixed feelings ♫

♫ Wiping away tears, I never leave you ♫

♫ Drenched by a lifetime of rain, I still wait for you ♫

Exactly.

Why?

Because only by becoming the Demon Queen,

can I understand the core of Tianmo Sect,

then I can find out

the truth behind my father's death.

I told you I would help you.

You will help me?

Mo Xiao,

don't forget who you are.

You're the Young Leader of the Shushan Sect,

the successor of Fengyue Sword Lord.

You should protect people in the world

and stop the catastrophe.

You have your mission,

and I have my responsibility.

You should leave.

I must find the Rootless Flower as soon as possible.

Star Lord Xu Yuan, please stay.

Star Lord Xu Yuan, regarding Chong Guang's intention to marry Feng Lixue,

don't you have anything to say?

What do you expect me to say?

As the Demon Lord of Love and Desire,

Chong Guang cannot develop love and desires,

otherwise, he will be devoured by the demonic power of Love and Desire.

But he publicly announced that he would marry Feng Lixue,

isn't he afraid of it?

As the owner of the Lust Demonic stone,

he knows he cannot develop love and desires.

But he insists on doing this despite knowing it,

naturally, the point is not who to marry,

but why to marry.

Then why does he

want to do this?

Now Chong Guang holds two sacred stones,

once he retrieves the third Sura Sacred Stone,

then he can restore the Demonic Edict

and command the 100,000 demon soldiers of the Demonic Clan.

In this world,

the one who can help him find the third sacred stone,

besides Feng Lixue, the daughter of Feng Xingtian,

is there a better choice?

But Feng Lixue is his disciple,

I think it's okay that he asks her to retrieve the third sacred stone.

There is no need to make her the Demon Queen, right?

It seems that you

have forgotten that disciple of the Shushan Sect.

He wants to keep Feng Lixue

completely under his control

to prevent her from leaving him.

This action is brilliant.

It not only keeps Feng Lixue,

but also makes the Demonic Clan

more subservient to him.

Especially,

he can regain the support of the Seven Caves and Nine Netherworlds,

making them to believe he can definitely find the third sacred stone.

Anyway,

he kept Feng Lixue as a pawn ten years ago,

definitely aiming to use her to the fullest.

Perhaps…

Perhaps there are more benefits

that we couldn't anticipate.

So,

he marries Feng Lixue

just for show.

After all, he can't truly be moved by love and desire.

Since he wants to marry,

we have to give him

the best wishes

and a perfect wedding.

Is this the courtyard Po Yun mentioned?

Mo Xiao.

It's me, I am Po Yun.

- Po Yun? - My lady is worried about you,

so asked me to come to you.

The Rootless Flower you are looking for

is planted in the courtyard of Chang Ming.

That Rootless Flower's stamen is poisonous,

and its stem sap is the antidote.

As long as you get the Rootless Flower, you can get the antidote.

However, that courtyard has set up a maze.

You must be careful.

Maze.

Mo Xiao.

Mo Xiao.

What happened to him?

My lady.

He fainted after fetching the Rootless Flower.

Now his internal force is severely damaged

and his body is extremely weak.

He was seriously injured before,

and saved me in the Ancestor Hall.

His injuries must be even more severe now.

I'm afraid

medicine won't have an immediate effect on him now.

How about taking him to the Longqiu Spring for recuperation.

Longqiu Spring?

Isn't that where the former Demon Lord

built as a place for Star Lord Xu Yuan to recuperate?

Exactly, as far as I know,

that Longqiu Spring was built by the former Demon Lord Ye Yuan

for Demon Queen Xu Yuan Wushuang

as a place for recuperation,

where is with abundant spiritual power.

Moreover,

the cultivation way of the Nuwa Clan is similar with the Immortal Sects'.

Taking him there

should be of some help.

But Xu Yuan Wushuang will never agree.

Have you forgotten

the girl from Spiritual Palace

still owes you a favor?

Tian Xin?

Exactly.

Let's go.

Where is this?

This is a place to help you recuperate.

Lixue.

Go with me.

I'll take you back.

My lady.

Chong Guang took some people to Shaohao Palace, you'd better head back.

Okay, I'll head back.

Take good care of him.

- Yes. - Lixue.

- Lixue. - Mo Xiao.

You'd better hide yourself

and have a good rest here.

- Master. - Save those formalities.

Master, why do you come

to my Shaohao Palace?

Do I have to have a reason to come to you?

I don't mean that.

I chose some rare items for you.

See if you like it.

Please come with me to the inner hall.

I'll measure your body for clothing.

Master.

I know you announced to marry me

to prevent me from being thrown into the Demonic Abyss.

And I am grateful.

However, I don't want to shirk my responsibility

with the excuse of marriage.

Please take it back.

You don't want to be the Demon Queen?

I am your disciple.

I have nurtured you for ten years,

because I'm missing a disciple?

I'm really grateful

for your kindness.

Greetings, Lord.

What's the matter?

You even

came to Shaohao Palace to find me?

I am here to congratulate you.

This is the Phoenix Brocade of the Demon Queen.

Now you will marry Feng Lixue as Demon Queen.

Then consider this attire a wedding gift to you.

I heard

this Phoenix Brocade

was a gift from Ye Yuan to you.

How can I take it away from you?

Lord, please don't mention this anymore.

Earlier I was too eager for revenge,

so making some misunderstandings between Miss Lixue and me.

Please don't mind it.

This Phoenix Brocade represents my sincerity.

If you do not accept it,

then it means you still hold a grudge against me.

Alright, then

thank you for that.

Do you think I don't know

that you refuse to become Demon Queen

because of Mo Xiao?

But you saw it.

The wedding attire has already been prepared.

All you need to do is to wear it

and stand by my side.

Don't let us down.

Why did you

give them the Phoenix Brocade?

Indeed, I don't want to,

but I want to see

how Chong Guang, as the Demon Lord,

will marry the Demon Queen.

You want to see

the backlash of the demonic power of Love and Desire?

- Did you… - I applied the Philter on the Phoenix Brocade.

As long as Feng Lixue wears it,

whether Chong Guang really loves her or not,

he will develop love and desires.

By then,

his demonic power of Love and Desire will surely face a backlash.

What a brilliant plan.

Since the Demon Lord is getting married,

why not release Yunchao from the Dragon Stone Cave?

What? Why do you plead for Chao now?

We must not let those close to us suffer

while our enemies rejoice.

Tian Xin.

Yes.

Go and get Chao out.

Tell him

Chong Guang has already appointed him

to prepare the wedding ceremony.

Yes, Star Lord.

- Mother has calmed down? - Yes.

She has already calmed down.

Did she give Lixue a hard time?

No.

Star Guardian, you are concerned about everything,

but you care the least about yourself.

The Demon Lord will marry the Demon Queen soon.

And the Star Lord asked you to prepare for the wedding ceremony.

Marry the Demon Queen?

Chong Guang is going to marry Lixue?

Star Guardian!

Star Guardian, be careful.

Tian Xin, guard here.

Alright.

Lixue.

Star Lord Xu Yuan has released you?

You agreed to marry Chong Guang

and become the Demon Queen?

But you love someone else,

why did you agree to him?

I have my own reasons.

This is my fate and my tribulation.

I should face them myself.

What do you want to do?

Any plans?

Alright.

I can definitely find a way to persuade Chong Guang to give up.

Wait for me. Do not agree to him.

My lady.

What Star Guardian Xu Yuan just said

is exactly what I wanted to say.

I know that you have to do this,

but if you don't want to,

I will definitely find a way

to help you leave here.

Po Yun,

from now on,

I don't want anyone to risk their lives for me.

I can handle my own affairs.

If you really want to help me,

then make sure Mo Xiao stay away from this

and send him down the mountain.

Alright.

The Longqiu Spring indeed works.

I must stabilize my spiritual breath as soon as possible

and take Lixue away before her wedding.

It seems that on Suyu Mountain,

I cannot summon Hualang.

Mo Xiao, how do you feel?

Po Yun, how is Lixue doing?

Did Chong Guang give her a hard time?

Don't worry.

My lady is fine.

Mo Xiao, I have a favor to ask.

Feel free to speak.

My lady

has been unfortunate since childhood,

and after the Bishop passed away, she has been lonely and suffering.

Now,

in this world, only you

would risk your life to protect her.

I also know that she loves you.

Hereby I beg you,

if you have the chance, please take My lady away

and leave Suyu Mountain.

Tianxing Sect has been dispersed for years,

yet you're still being loyal

and staying by your lady's side,

which is truly admirable.

Don't worry, I will

certainly do what you request.

Thank you.

But there is one thing that worries me.

The Shushan Sect is an Immortal Sect,

if My lady follows you,

she might be criticized by the world.

Don't worry, I am here,

and I will surely protect her.

With your promise,

I can be at ease.

I wonder if there is anything I can do to help.

Even if it risks my life,

I am willing to help you and My lady

to leave Suyu Mountain.

Po Yun,

I indeed have

a favor to ask.

Please.

At this point,

we still haven't received any news from Mo Xiao.

We cannot wait any longer.

Yes, rather than waiting,

we might as well go look for him.

But we don't know

where the Young Leader is. Where can we go to find him?

Even you and Young Master Jing

cannot detect the spiritual breath of the Young Leader,

that indicates

he is still on Suyu Mountain.

Do you mean

we should go to Suyu Mountain?

Stop it, you guys.

Do you think Suyu Mountain is the Shushan Sects backyard?

You can come and go whenever you want?

Young Master Xie, when the Suyu Tripod was broken,

you and Young Master Jing

secretly infiltrated into Suyu Mountain

and made it back. Maybe we could…

Do you think good luck happens every time?

It's easy for two people to hide,

but if so many of us go there…

What do you want to do?

We'll be caught before we even find him.

We would disgrace the Shushan Sect.

Then think of a solution.

Well, I'll go alone.

You guys wait here.

- No, if you go, I must go too. - We'll go too.

So everything I just said

was for nothing, right?

You all…

Hualang.

Wait.

He seems to lead me somewhere.

I'll go check it out.

You guys wait here.

Why is it you? Where is Mo Xiao?

He asked me to deliver something to you.

- What is this? - This is the antidote for the Rootless Flower.

Did Mo Xiao find it? Where is he?

He asked me to tell you

to immediately send the antidote back to the Shushan Sect

and do not wait for him.

What else did he say?

That's all, farewell.

How is it? Where is Mo Xiao?

Mo Xiao has successfully obtained

the antidote for the Rootless Flower

and sent it down the mountain.

He must be fine.

He left a message for us. Jing,

let's go to the bottom of Suyu Mountain to meet him.

Guardians,

you take the antidote to the Shushan Sect.

The Sect Leader will only believe Mo Xiao is safe

when he sees you three return.

Remember, you'll tell them

Mo Xiao is seriously injured,

and needs to rest for a few days. Got it?

Understood, Young Master Xie.

We won't let the Shushan Sect worry about the Young Leader.

Good, you set off early tomorrow morning.
