A few days after returning to England -

flew a mission over Trondheim.

they were shot down again.

Davenport was captured and spent
the rest of the war in a German prison camp.

Smith died in the attack.

war cemetery in Trondheim.

Josef spent the rest of the war
in a prison camp in Canada.

In 1977, Horst received a call
at his home in Munich.
