Login to the beach for a client I go to the IP address of my vcenter server

I can use the home icon up here at the top to rapidly navigate to any other object categories that I need

All of these ones here for the inventory objects

Under Administration I can manage user roles you can see we have the default rolls of administrator read-only in

And for each one of those rolls I can see where it is being used in the environment

And which User it's been assigned to as well as what privileges are for that role

I can create a new role by clicking on the plus

Under single sign-on configuration this is where I manage my identity sources

Currently we have loud. Local which is the local SSO identity source

And then we have the local operating system which is the operating system that vcenter server is installed on

That was not used very often

If I wanted to add either an active directory or an ldap server I can click on the plus

And then entering the configuration information for that server

Once I do that then I would need to go back up to roles and assign new users to the administrator role in

So that those users have the ability to login to vcenter server

Under licensing I can install any product licenses that I may have it's a two-step process

First we go to it licenses and install the license keys

And then we go to assets and

Assign them to the specific product that they're going to be using

Most objects have this getting started page which doesn't really provide all of that much useful information so we can hide those pages

If we run into any issues with the well client either it's not displaying the information that we expect or something seems out of

First thing that we should do is refresh

Just to make sure that we're looking at the most useful information if we're still not seeing what we expect

I recommend logging out of the web client
