When Zach had said he

I had said I wasn't sure
for a number of reasons.

So I'm like, if you could at
least get a job that covers all

of our health insurance, you're
covering a big chunk of money

that we pay every month.

But then he told
me he had an idea.

What are you looking
at fireman stuff for?

- A career.

- EMT, of course, you need to
have that as a prerequisite

to become a fireman.

So over the last
couple months,

I've been coming around
to having another baby.

I'm thinking it, and I'm
like, if we're going to do it,

it needs to happen now.

haven't seen big enough,

like, changes.

don't think I am ready to bring

life into the world.

I have a felony on my record.

It was like once in
fifth grade, and that's all.

- They just told you about it.

They didn't really, like,
explain detail or how to,

like, protect or anything
like that.

- Being 17, when I first
got pregnant with them,

I had this conversation
with them all the time.

- We probably wouldn't know
any of, like, the things

that we do know if our mom
didn't tell us about them.

- For them, I was like,
I want to be on top of it.

I want to prevent
them from going through

the same experiences
that I have went through.

- From what I know,
the laws in West Virginia

are there is sex ed in schools.

It's comprehensive.

- When you say
comprehensive sex ed,

what are they supposed
to be learning?

- The law itself
is pretty vague.

And that can be
good and bad, right?

Because then it's up to
the State Board of Ed

to decide what that looks like.

And then it really, like, each
county and each school decides.

In West Virginia--
and you guys probably

won't be surprised--
there have been bills

to ban sex ed completely.

To say, you can't even talk
about this happening at all.

- Wow.

- And I mean,
that would be terrible

because your teachers
should be talking

about what healthy
relationships look like.

What consent looks like.

What good communication looks
like in those situations.

What if you're gay
or queer in some capacity?

That's going to be a totally
different conversation.

But I think something that
I find is that government

is hard to understand.

And some things
are state things,

and some things
are city things,

and some things
are county things.

But there are so many
things you can do.

And the biggest
one is education.

Learn about the government,
and learn about how it works.

Find social media
accounts where

you can get better
education on how

you can change those things.

Call your representatives,
because even

though you're under 18,
they still represent you.

You might know what you
want the end goal to be.

Say you want free period
products in schools.

Great.

Our prisons don't have
products guaranteed.

Our schools don't have
products guaranteed.

And even crazier,
they're taxed.

So if you go buy them
at the grocery store,

they're not cheap.

They're not cheap
at all, especially

if you want the good stuff.

- So I think this
was productive.

You guys have a better idea
on how you can be of support

to those around you, how
you can make a difference,

and all the questions you had.

I feel like I've

me come to terms with life

being nothing but important
big decisions for the rest

of your life was getting
down to the reasons

why I was even feeling
the way I was feeling.

Counselors and therapy?
Counseling.

- Counseling and therapy. Yeah.

I don't know.

I guess while I
was in treatment,

I got trained
to think positively

all the time, no matter what.
- Yeah.

- So, like, I could be going
through the worst situation

ever, or be getting ready to
make a huge decision that I'm

scared to make, you know what I
mean, but my head stays level.

I don't panic about it.
I don't overthink it.

I just let it flow.

Especially with Chey.

100% transparent with her,

But there is some things
that I do hold back on like--

about to bleed out.

I need to go to the bathroom.

You cannot tell a girl no
if she's on her period.

She can't help that.

So if she wouldn't
let me, I was

going to walk out to
show that I'm going

to go do what is natural.

- I mean, if you have
an issue like that,

you just need to ring me,
and I will call the office.

So that way, you're not
getting in trouble either.

- But I didn't
have time for that.

I needed to go now.

I was in my new jeans.

That I wouldn't have been
so mad if this didn't happen

to multiple other girls.

if you take EMT now,

how long do you have to
go through that before you

can become a fireman?

- Well, once you get your EMT
license, I mean, you know,

if you go a six-month program,
a three-month program,

depending on how you want
to do it, once you get that,

then you're in
position to start

going through the other steps.

Actually, there's-- I know
with LA City, they're still

down over 300 positions.

So it's actually a good time
to get into the processing

right now.

as hell to get in.
