My life has
been a wild rodeo.

I grew up in Oklahoma, and
the moment I met Josh at 16,

we fell in love quickly.

We got married and
had three kids,

but our marriage was
always up and down.

everything to be better.

My mom was always our
biggest cheerleader.

But when she passed away from
cancer, I needed a change.

I moved to Florida.

It was a fresh start
for me and Josh,

but it didn't last long.

I filed for divorce, and

That's how long it's been.

He became addicted to pain
pills after an accident

at work when I was a kid,
and he's been struggling

with addiction ever since.

When I got addicted to pain
pills myself as a teen,

he enabled me.

It's been hard.

It's just been toxic
my entire life.

After going to rehab
and getting clean,

I decided to create
strong boundaries

and distance myself from him.

I'm not angry.

I forgive him.

I just think that I get to
be firm in my boundaries.

be careful because there's

a difference in supporting
someone through this process

and enabling.

- If you have some sort of
part of you that supports him,

I think, one,
he needs to know that.

I accepted him coming
here because something

did feel different.

He's wanting to go
straight to detox.

- There's just a few
things that we have to wrap

up before he goes into detox.

And I think it would be
nice that when you're ready

or when you feel
good to step in

with whatever type of support
that you want to give--

because you can relate to the
stuff that he's going through

and what he's going
to go through.

- If he commits and
follows through,

I will meet him at the entrance
of the detox facility--

through those doors.

But if he checks out--

be a little proactive.

you know that you're

ready for another child

- If Zach showed up in
different ways that provided,

like, my mind more stability.

I think listening to you,
like, and being active,

it just makes me think like,
OK, am I doing everything

I can to make sure I'm
putting energy into,

like, that conversation-- not
saying, like, I want to have

a baby but also
not saying, like,

no, I don't want to have one.

It's not like I'm
getting younger.

I should just go and at least
meet with the fertility doctor

and see what the options are.

- But I do think that's
a good idea, you know,

just so you can get the
knowledge and just know,

you know-- pretty sure, you
know, they could be like,

you have 10, 15 years.

You're still good.

You don't need to
worry about that.

Or it could be like you have,
like, you know, 10, 15 months,

- I'm going to make
the appointment.

I don't want to say no,
but I don't want to say yes.

And I don't want to do either
answer without knowing all,

like, the pieces of the puzzle.

So it's crazy, but I
haven't spoken to my mom

in about six months ever
since the Carly visit.

with the kids.

as a kid either.

I mean, I feel like the
only hard aspect is, like,

not having help with the kids.

Just the fact that there is
no effort is crazy to me.

her the freedom

of, hey, like, my kids-- you
always have access to them.

I don't restrict it.

them in the past multiple times

from their iPads.

For me, it got to
the point where

it's like I should not be
anxious dropping my children

off with their grandma.

my kids to look at me

me from my grandma.

She actually has surgery

and we're flying my dad in.

able to get pregnant.

you're going to be waiting,

then it's something
to consider, you know.

But if you're waiting
till 35 or 36--

if at 35 or 36 you're not
pregnant within six months,

you could do it then.

If you want, we can go
inside, and do an ultrasound,

and look at your ovaries,
see how many eggs

really are in both ovaries.

Even with my childhood,
I've done the work

to do what I needed to do
to make sure that it does

not reflect on my daughters.

And that's why boundaries
are so important to me

because there was a lot that
I went through and didn't even

speak on or didn't
even know that bothered

me until I went to treatment.

And you can see it.

Like, you can see it come to
fruition in my kids' lives,

in my own life.

But I will not allow anything
to come between that-- nothing.

And I will not allow
them to be exposed

to the same trauma or pain
that we were exposed to.

- I understand that, and I
need to do something about it.

And that's what I'm
prepared and wanting to do.

on the right path.

my dad had passed away.

I was prepared for me
to be like, oh, OK.

So this is, like,

different than I expected.

It's going to be a struggle.

It's going to be hard.
