[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

[Episode 5]

You know that if we examine Young Miss Qiushuang's body,

and ask the guards presented at the scene,

we would definitely spot the flaws.

So, you burned the body at night.

But you never expected

that Madam Yu would come back early

to retrieve the body that hadn’t been completely burned.

What a pity, Madam Yu.

You were burning with anger,

and you killed all the guards.

So that they will never have a chance to speak.

You didn't care about the guards' lives, and that's

what made you fell into the murderer's trap.

You're so shrewd and deep.

Miss Yun,

you're still infatuated with Master Yu.

But he was going to kill you tonight.

Such a person

doesn’t deserve your defence.

At Xiaomian Inn,

that Soul-snatching Needle

was also stopped by the jade gifted by

Young Miss Qiushuang.

She's been protecting you.

You should give her justice.

Yes.

I was wrong.

It’s my fault.

He wanted the Soul-snatching Needle

to find out the secret inside back then.

So I secretly gave it to him.

I never thought that...

Yu Mulan.

You should

admit all the things you did.

You're not good at martial arts. Be careful.

It's Air-slashing Smack.

I want to avenge Qiushuang.

Fang Duobing.

Stop her!

What are you doing?

If Madam Yu wants to avenge your sister,

I'm afraid you need to wait in line.

What do you mean?

Madam Yu, don't forget

that Young Miss Qiushuang was severely injured before she died.

We've been wondering how the wound is caused.

Our question is solved

when I saw Young Master Zongzheng's move just now.

Young Master Zongzheng.

This skill can shatter

one's internal organs without hurting the skin.

It must be Air-slashing Smack, right?

I've been curious about it too.

Yu Mulan has the Soul-snatching Needle

that can kill Yu Qiushuang on the spot.

So what's the need to give her a smack?

Now that I think about it,

all my doubts are cleared.

She was killed twice

because the two moves came from two different people.

Young Master Zongzheng,

you hit that Air-slashing Smack, right?

I can do that.

But why would I kill her?

Why?

Because you have an affair with Madam Yu,

and Young Miss Qiushuang ran into it.

You are scented with

the osmanthus fragrance in Madam Yu's bedroom.

Meanwhile, Master Yu who has been sleeping in the guest room for years

has no scent on him.

In the moment of heat,

Madam Yu has been very protective of you just now.

All these years,

you never slept with me

or looked at me.

It turns out...

I'm not pure,

but you're no better.

Shut up!

It's you.

Did you really kill Qiushuang?

I...

I hit her,

but I didn't mean it.

I met Hongzhu outside that day

because I wanted to cut ties with her.

But Hongzhu was so angry,

I couldn't just leave.

So I chased her to her bedroom to comfort her.

Hongzhu's temperament is fiery, like fire.

I had been persuading her for a long time

to calm down so that she could listen to me.

But then I suddenly heard a noise outside the window.

We can't let anyone know about us.

So I hit outside the window in a panic.

Later when I looked out the window,

I didn't see anyone.

I didn't know it was Qiushuang.

So it was you who killed your sister.

It's Karma.

We were all part of it.

She shouldn't have died.

It was us.

It was we who killed her.

I didn't dare to save her.

And I didnn't dare to admit it.

I've been

playing innocent with you and shirking

my responsibilities, saying that it was the ghost that killed her.

It's me!

It's me.

After Qiushuang was hit,

she had nowhere to go in Yucheng.

She could only come to me,

her best friend.

Qiushuang.

But she saw me meeting Yu Mulan in private.

Don't get me wrong.

It's not what you think.

She was badly injured.

How desperate must she have been at that time?

But Yu Mulan,

you're worried that it might be exposed.

So you killed her again.

In order to survive,

I could only play dumb even though I know

that you wanted to kill me.

Try it.

Thank you.

It'll keep you safe.

I didn't deserve to be her friend.

I didn't deserve to be her best friend.

I didn't deserve it.

Poor thing.

None of the people she loved loved her.

And none of them wanted to leave her alive.

It's my fault.

I shouldn't have...

You told me there was no one outside.

It was my illusion.

Why didn't you tell me

that she had been killed by your Air-slashing Smack?

Calm down.

She had been following us from the back of the mountain.

What else could I do?

We talked a lot that day.

There's something that can be told.

and something that can't.

Otherwise,

did you want her to spread the words?

I did this for you.

Shut up, Zongzheng Mingzhu.

You've done all these

cold-hearted, treacherous things.

You don't have

to pretend to be soulful now.

Young Master Fang.

Mr. Li.

Thank you for your concern.

Guards!

Lock Yu Mulan and Yun Jiao in prison.

Yes.

Prepare the carriage.

Send Young Master Fang, Mr. Li

and everyone in the inn out of town.

Wait.

Madam Yu, I don't think you should send us off like this.

Why did you put them in prison?

What about Zongzheng Mingzhu?

What do you plan to do with him?

This is my family matter.

I’ll take care of it.

This is a criminal case.

According to the law,

the case should be processed by Baichuan Academy.

He works in the court,

so he should be judged by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

Besides, Madam Yu killed the innocent

private guards.

You are also guilty.

What's wrong with killing my own guards?

This is the rewarding record of the guards of Yucheng.

These guards have been rewarded repeatedly.

According to the law,

the private guards who have been rewarded three times

shall not be judged as house slaves.

Of course you are guilty

and should be punished.

Besides, you have to compensate the families of these guards.

Do you want to seek justice

for these guards?

They didn't deserve to die.

When does Yucheng, Kunlun ever work according to the law?

Fang Duobing,

it seems like you're not taking the chance.

Then take the guards

and seek justice from the King of Hell instead!

Attack!

Leave this to me.

You go first.

Don't worry.

The reinforcements will be here soon.

Reinforcements?

Hexing Escort Agency.

Foxy.

How did they get out?

It's all thanks to Foxy.

Take your time.

I'm leaving.

Thanks.

Kill them!

Stop!

Sparrow Whip!

You're Shishui of Baichuan Academy.

For over 50 years,

no one has been forced to commit suicide

in the wide world.

I'm curious to know

what a big figure Madam Yu is

that could have forced her guards to commit suicide.

Yu Hongzhu is arrested for violating the criminal law.

Baichuan Academy and Public Prosecutor's Office have surrounded the city.

Thank you for your help.

May I know who you are?

[Public Prosecutor's Office, Yang Yunchun]

I'm Yang Yunchun [Public Prosecutor's Office, Yang Yunchun]

[Public Prosecutor's Office, Yang Yunchun]

from the Public Prosecutor's office. [Public Prosecutor's Office, Yang Yunchun]

[Public Prosecutor's Office, Yang Yunchun]

I received a secret letter, saying

that the grandson of the Prime Minister committed a crime in Yucheng.

So I hurriedly came to check.

Zongzheng Mingzhu.

We've met a few times in the court.

I didn't expect to see you like this.

A secret letter?

Is it Li Lianhua who sent it?

The Public Prosecutor’s Office is quick.

You have informants in Yucheng.

Then why did you give us all sorts of excuses

when we asked you about the case before?

Baichuan Academy

has never given you a hard time.

Miss Shi, don’t get me wrong.

I'm really here because of the anonymous secret letter.

The Public Prosecutor's Office and Baichuan Academy

have the same duty.

Why would I make it difficult for you?

Last time, Miss Shi and I

worked seamlessly to catch the thief.

I didn’t expect to meet Miss Shi here again.

Young Master Fang.

Why are you hiding?

What a coincidence, Sister Shi.

You're smart for not sending Baichuan Academy

the letter to come arrest them.

You didn’t act recklessly.

Yucheng isn't somewhere you can come and go as you like.

Also,

will you give back my stuff?

Right.

I’m just borrowing the badge for a while.

Sister Shi,

I'm the one who solved this case, right?

This is my first big case.

Fine.

It's on you.

Thank you.

By the way, Sister Shi,

I want to show you someone.

I suspect he might be

the Drug Demon of the Jinyuan Alliance.

Where is he?

Red mud.

Where did the red mud come from?

What secret is hidden in Yucheng?

Young Miss Qiushuang was bitten by a poisonous insect in the face

at the back of the mountain early this year.

She had been following us from the back of the mountain.

The back of the mountain?

Foxy.

Sniff it carefully.

I'll add a drumstick for you tonight if you find the smell.

Go.

The Life and Death Miasma of the Drug Demon.

The people hiding inside are quite powerful.

Foxy.

Stay here.

Don't run around.

[Jinyuan Alliance, Jiao Liqiaol] [Snow Master of the Jinyuan Alliance]

Congratulations on your recovery. [Jinyuan Alliance, Jiao Liqiaol] [Snow Master of the Jinyuan Alliance]

Congratulations on your recovery.

My Lord.

Could it be...

The loud noise was right here just now.

Where is Li Lianhua?

Did he go in?

Don't go in.

This is the Life and Death Miasma.

There is no way to avoid the poison.

You'll die if you go in.

It's an old trick of the Drug Demon.

The Drug Demon?

The fog is about to dissipate.

Why do you

bring a tail here with you?

Yu Hongzhu is getting useless.

Now anyone can come in.

Drug Demon,

go get your precious poisonous insects

to devour his flesh and blood.

Don't worry.

I promise

[Jinyuan Alliance, Drug Demon] I promise

[Jinyuan Alliance, Drug Demon]

there won't be a piece of bone left. [Jinyuan Alliance, Drug Demon]

there won't be a piece of bone left.

Drug Demon,

you are really here.

Are you okay?

How did you hurt so bad?

I'm fine.

Your time's up.

Don't bother.

I have something to do.

Let's go.

Yes,

my Lord.

Di Feisheng.

Di Feisheng is still alive.

Drug Demon.

Let's go.

Don't leave!

Li Lianhua!

Li Lianhua!

Li Lianhua!

[Yucheng]

[Mysterious Lotus Casebook]

The real Drug Demon ran away with Di Feisheng.

You're not the Drug Demon.

Where is my senior, Shan Gudao's body?

Di Feisheng.

Di Feisheng.

How do you know his name?

Do you know him?

I was in daze just now.

I think I heard someone calling his name.

Be careful.

Do you know that the guy we ran into

just now is Di Feisheng, the final boss of the Jinyuan Alliance?

You,

you are really lucky.

The forest was full of miasma.

How did you get in?

I went to find my dog.

And suddenly, it exploded.

Luckily you were there.

Who would have thought that

the final boss had been hiding in such a remote place.

I heard that inside the cave,

there are all kinds of drugs that increase internal power.

During the battle at the East Sea,

he must have been severely injured back then.

That's why he practiced in seclusion there.

It's a pity

that I didn't see his face clearly.

If he's not dead,

there will be a storm coming in the wide world.

Since Di Feisheng is not dead,

Li Xiangyi must be alive, right?

He must be alive, right?

Are you out of your mind?

I knew

he must be alive.

He will come back for sure.

He's delayed by something for now.

And,

by the way,

I misunderstood you

about what happened last time.

So,

my suspicion of being the Drug Demon is cleared?

I was eager to catch the thief.

I'm sorry.

How do you want me to apologize to you?

Just tell me.

Nothing.

I'm just hungry.

That's it?

Fine.

I'll prepare it for you.

Wait for me.

Di Feisheng.

Since you are still alive,

I need to

ask you something and make it clear.

I was not able to catch up.

But it must be Di Feisheng.

The one beside him is Jiao Liqiao.

I can't be wrong.

I've investigated Yu Hongzhu.

She was one of the 12 Phoenixes of the Jinyuan Alliance.

When the Jinyuan Alliance was destroyed, she escaped

and returned to Yucheng.

If that's the case,

all these years, Jiao Liqiao has been secretly manipulating the remnants

of the Jinyuan Alliance to create chaos everywhere.

Di Feisheng must be the one behind all this.

Yu Hongzhu bit her tongue off and kept silent.

Zongzheng Mingzhu was arrested by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

It'll be hard to interrogate him since he's in the court.

We have no idea where Di Feisheng is now.

If Di Feisheng is still alive,

then our Head...

Xiangyi is different from Di Feisheng.

If he is still alive,

why wouldn't he come back?

Meaningless speculations hurt the most.

Don't mention it again.

Wanwan.

Zijin.

We should go back.

Okay, let's go.

You're daydreaming in broad daylight.

Don't blame me for not reminding you.

How dare you covet the No.1 beauty in martial arts, Qiao Wanwan?

You have to ask for permission from Xiao Zijin's Alkaid first.

Stop guessing,

and don't make jokes.

I'm just curious.

They've never been to Baichuan Academy.

Why are they here?

After all, they're old friends with Sigu Sect.

Since they're here and have heard

about the reappearance of the final boss, Di Feisheng,

of course they would show concern.

Fang Xiaobao!

She's already here?

Li'er must have exposed herself.

Brother, help me block it.

I'll give you the food later.

It's strange.

I heard his voice just now.

Who are you?

I'm Li Lianhua.

Li Lianhua?

[He Xiaofeng of Tianji Manor] Li Lianhua?

[He Xiaofeng of Tianji Manor]

So you're the rumored owner of Lotus House? [He Xiaofeng of Tianji Manor]

So you're the rumored owner of Lotus House?

You are the doctor who can miraculously

bring the dying back to life?

Doctor, I feel dizzy.

I feel dizzy.

Take a look for me.

Miss.

Doctor Li,

although you aren't as handsome as I thought,

but your chic temperament

gets my heart beating faster.

I've always admired

someone with extraordinary talent.

But you haven't treated me yet.

Miss,

you look rosy,

and your voice is loud like a bell.

You're fine.

That's good.

Maybe I ran after

my nephew too fast,

so I felt dizzy.

Doctor Li, have you seen him?

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself.

I am

He Xiaofeng, the younger sister of He Xiaohui,

the owner of Tianji Hall.

My nephew

is Fang Duobing.

His nickname is Xiaobao.

He's only a few years younger than me.

He's very naughty.

How dared he reject the marriage granted by His Majesty

and run away from home?

I'm so worried about him as his auntie.

I see.

Miss He,

Mr. Fang said goodbye to me just now.

He said he’s going to the North to broaden his horizons.

Miss He,

it's not too late for you to chase him now.

Doctor,

this is my special Phoenix Smoke.

If you want to see me,

you can burn this smoke and I'll find you.

See you, Doctor Li.

[Long Live the Foreworld]

Welcome back, Head.

Welcome back, Head!

[Long Live the Foreworld] Welcome back, Head!

Welcome back, Head!

Welcome back, Head.

Get up.

This is a new place.

My Lord.

Ten years ago, with you in charge,

the Jinyuan Alliance dominated the world of martial arts.

and made everyone obey.

But since you retreated,

those so-called righteous rogues took the chance to attack,

so we had to give up the old headquarters.

Fortunately, the wise Saintess

led us to find this treasured land.

We rebuilt the headquarters.

And we've been waiting for your return.

I dare not take credit.

We worked hard in the past 10 years,

only to prepare for the return of my Lord

to take over Jinyuan Alliance again.

And I finally got what I wanted today.

It's such a great honor.

I, Ding Yun, the Wind and Thunder Emissary,

present the map of the Jinyuan Alliance's new headquarters.

I, Wan Renshan, the Star and Moon Emissary,

present the name list of the Jinyuan Alliance.

Please have a look, my Lord.

So it was you two.

My Lord,

I don’t know what they did wrong

and offended you.

In the battle of the Eastern Sea ten years ago,

we used thundering fire bombs to trap the Sigu Sect.

Do you know about this?

Of course I know.

Those thundering fire bombs not only blew up the Sigu Sect.

but also the arsenal of our headquarters.

Countless casualties.

They were in charge of our firearms.

Should we kill them or not?

Of course, we should.

I was negligent,

and I let them live for ten more years.

I've been in seclusion for ten years.

I keep thinking about the past.

Something is fishy.

I hate betrayal the most.

If I find out who betrayed me,

you will end up

like these two corpses here.

Good kill, my Lord.

If anyone is unfaithful to you,

I will not forgive him.

Today is the big day of your return.

take them as a celebration for you.

My Lord,

This is the decree of Jinyuan Alliance.

I've been protecting it with my life all these years.

It has always been safe.

I'm returning it to you today.

Congratulations my Lord on retrieving the decree.

Jinyuan Alliance will dominate the wide world soon.

My Lord,

I have something to report.

Yu Hongzhu let down her guard

when you retreated to Yucheng.

If not because of Saintess,

you would've been interrupted.

Yu Hongzhu has been arrested by Baichuan Academy.

Please give the order

to get rid of Yu Hongzhu immediately,

so that there won't be any trouble.

I also have something to report.

[Jinyuan Alliance, Granny Blood]

You need to tell the world about your return, Lord. [Jinyuan Alliance, Granny Blood]

You need to tell the world about your return, Lord.

First, let justice be frightened.

Second, let the former subordinates return.

Boring.

My Lord,

I also sent someone to get a new Book of 10,000.

All the latest rankings are on it.

Please have a look.

I have another good news.

Go ahead.

I've found the whereabouts of the elixir that you've been

searching for since 10 years ago, which can help improve your

martial arts skills.

Here.

Well done.

Well done.

This is what I should do.

What else can I do for you?

You've been running the Jinyuan Alliance well for the past 10 years.

From now on,

the affairs of the alliance will be handled by Saintess.

Thank you, my Lord.

With you here,

I can rest assured.

I will help you to be the top in the world of martial arts,

and rule the world.

My Lord,

I've been waiting for you for 10 years.

All my efforts are not in vain.

Lord.

You were there just now.

Why do you only show up now?

I dare not disturb you

on the Enthronement Ceremony.

Stop talking nonsense.

You and the three kings already know

what I have truly cared about for 30 years.

My Lord only cares about being the peak of martial arts.

You have no care about others.

You are my personal guard.

Together with King Bai of Fire,

Four-faced Qingzun and King Xunming of Yama,

you all are just below me in the alliance.

Where are they now?

Find it out for me.

The four of you risked your lives with me

to build the Jinyuan Alliance.

No matter what,

they can't be locked in prison.

Yes, Lord.

You killed Wan Renshan and Ding Yun

with bursts of air.

In my opinion, you have now regained

60% of your power from 10 years ago.

Only 60%?

It seems that he really

left me a lot of trouble.

He is the only person

that can have my Lord keep him in mind.

We fought on the sea 10 years ago.

I won by half a move,

but he died.

I have no rival in the world anymore.

There are many new masters on the Book of 10,000

given by the Saintess.

The first one is Buddhist San Sheng from East Japan.

The second one is Yang Yunchun with the Royal Dragon.

And the third one is the Demon Monk of Blood Realm.

The three of them must be quite strong.

If you want to have fun,

I can search for their whereabouts.

After Li Xiangyi,

I have no rival in the world.

The map of Guanyin's Tears?

That's right.

Congratulations, Lord.

Guanyin's Tears

are the elixirs made by the Bodhisattva Herbal Lord

with his lifelong effort back in 100 years ago.

It only had three back then.

The first one was seized by the swordsman to save

his eldest son, whose heartbeat has stopped for 3 days.

The second one was taken by Qiu Wuya

and his power was drastically increased.

He had been the head in the martial arts world for over 10 years.

Now, with this map,

we can find the third one.

If you get this elixir,

it's no doubt that you will regain your power.

And maybe

we can even break through the seventh level of the Windy Poplar

and reach the eighth level, where no one has ever been.

Of course, I need to get Guanyin's Tear.

Unfortunately,

I've lost all my power.

Who can I fight with?

Granny Blood,

keep an eye on the Lord.

By then,

he'll be eager to find the elixir.

Yes.

My Lord.

From now on, you'll be the only one by Qiao's side.

And you can only

have me by your side, too.

When we parted back then,

I told you that it's hard to be solved.

And you only have ten years left.

Now,

it's only one year left.

Have you settled it now?

Why don't you go back to meet your old friends in the Sigu Sect,

and find the way together to save yourself?

A monk doesn't lie.

Almsgiver Li, you're still young,

don't let the King of Hell take advantage of you.

Di Feisheng.

Where are you?

Look at you.

You disappeared in a blink of an eye

when I was hiding from my auntie.

Luckily, I'm smart.

I know you would sneak back here.

What were you burning just now?

It doesn't matter.

It's not important.

Did something happen to you?

Tell me if anything happens.

This young master will protect you.

You ran away from home to escape the marriage.

Your source of finance is cut off, and you braved the elements.

And you're in dire straits now.

They even brought back

the servant around you, right?

You have nowhere to go.

Are you

going to stay here forever?

I...

You can't say that.

We should help each other.

We went through thick and thin together.

We are brothers for life.

We all need friends

to survive in the wide world.

I'm not into the wide world and I don't make friends either.

You...

You look

easy-going and nice to talk to

on the outside,

as if you have no temper.

But, in fact, you're so cold

and you're not close to anyone.

This is not good.

You're always alone.

You don't even have friends to eat and drink with.

This is so boring.

Who says it's for you?

The hawthorn tastes good today.

Not bad.

Try drying the hawthorn next time,

then boiling it with sugar and dried tangerine peel.

It must be better.

You have a good taste.

Of course.

My reputation as the capital's food critic

does not come from nothing.

How is it?

Do you

need someone like me at Lotus House?

A handsome partner

that can eat and fight.

Isn't it great to explore the wide world together?

Stop.

I made it clear

about solving cases together.

I don't understand.

Do you really want to get into Baichuan Academy?

Of course.

The Sigu Sect is gone.

My master is missing too.

But I can't forget my promise to him.

Furthermore, the final boss, Di Feisheng,

is still alive.

I have to teach him a lesson for my master.

We can't always

live up to the expectations of others.

Maybe Li Xiangyi

has never expected so much from you.

You know what, you are a nice person,

but you always rain on my parade.

I told you a lot of things.

And I treat you as a friend from the bottom of my heart.

You...

How could you...

Tranquilizing incense.

Sleep well.

Li Xiangyi doesn't remember anything,

and he won't go back.

Don't be too serious.

Silly boy.

Where's the carriage?

Li Lianhua.

You left me at the roadside again!
