of Alaskan Bush People,

We really need to be
getting the animal's back up here.

We build the corral,
make sure no one gets bored.

- Gored.
- It's bored.

Just been trying to
baby proof this place.

Those things
are a little bit sharp.

I am just so excited for River
to visit the mountain for the first time.

Showing River how
I live my life to the extreme.

- We're gonna have 20 kids.
- 20?

It's really hard
to think about life without Da.

Da was always my hero
and he always will be.

I'm pretty worried.

Da's my guardian angel.

No matter what happens,
he will always be there.

God has blessed me
so much.

But I won't be around forever.

To me, the most
important thing

is to make sure that
the family core would go on.

This is important time.

The ranch will go on forever,

as long as it's setup right.

This ranch must keep growing.

I'm getting ready to go down
one of the longest roads on the mountain.

It's by Noah's place,
it's the wolf slope.

Little engine that could.

Raiven and River are coming
back to the Washington in about a week.

I'm really looking forward
to showing River

how I live my life
to the extremest possible.

There we go, baby.

Yeah, it's totally extreme!

It's winter
on the Browns' homestead.

Five months after
their deadly wildfire,

the Wolfpack works tirelessly
to reclaim their land.

To begin life again
on the ranch,

the siblings banded together

to build a temporary basecamp
near the main house.

Now, the family must focus
on the next vital step,

bringing the livestock
back up mountain.

Our animals have
been staying in town with some friends

but we're definitely very
eager to get them back up the mountain,

especially the longhorns.

That's a renewable resource,
that's the most important thing going here.

All right, guys,
let's spitball some ideas.

What I'm thinking is like,
let's focus on getting the longhorns up,

get them comfy and then
focus on another animal.

This past year
has definitely been one of the more difficult.

Our animal's
pens and enclosures,

most of them have been
damaged by the fire.

In between losing Cuppy
in the wildfires and the snow hitting right after,

we could really use
a win right now.

Where does Dad
wanna put the longhorns when they get back up here.

Quite frankly,
I don't think we put them back

in the same spot.

It was too much burn
on the ground.

Mom and Dad definitely
want 'em close the new house, too.

Since
it's burned out,

we might as well
take the opportunity

to put it where
they want it to be.

Mom and Dad want the corral
for the longhorns

to be right by the house

kinda where the road
goes up to it,

they want it to go from road
down to the next road,

kinda encircle a large area.

So, they can be
standing in their house, look out the window

and see the longhorns.

Even with the longhorns
and the horses,

how are we gonna
get 'em up here?

The roads aren't good enough.

It'd be nice
if you could just, like,

let the longhorns
out the corral and walk with them up.

I'm pretty sure that's
not gonna happen,

I feel like we let them out,
we never see them again.

Someone's gonna get chains.

Realistically, I think
the only way to bring 'em up

with the road
and the condition would be

to load one in a trailer
at a time and pull 'em up.

You know,
Da really wants the animals back on the mountain.

Da loves all the animals

and I feel like everything
that we've gotten so far,

he has a very deep
connection with.

And I think that's why
it's important to get them up here.

Well, I think we basically
have a good idea of what we're doing.

Build a corral,
get the longhorns up here

making sure no one
gets killed or bored.

Bored or gored?

- Gored.
- Bored.

'Cause they're boring you.

I think it's...
pretty sure it's "bored."

Where do you
wanna start? Corner? Middle?

Wanna work our way from here.

Bird and I are
salvaging the corral's boards, essentially,

so the fire swept through,
burnt a lot of them,

but a lot of them
can still be used.

So, right now Bird and I
are gonna try to take down as many of them as we can

get 'em hauled out and build
a new corral with them.

- There we go.
- That's a little bit better.

- And keep the--
- Yup, gonna try to keep the screws, for sure.

Seems like just yesterday,
we were putting this thing up.

Right?

I think it's important
to salvage the wood from the old bull corral.

It's definitely
a little bittersweet

because we worked
so hard to get it up.

But you have to do
what you have to do and we need the lumber.

Bear, I dare you to lick
their salt lick.

Ah, it's been licked
a few many times for me.

Bear, I'm not sure
if this is a salt lick or a pile of poop.

Well, don't lick that.

I mean, I don't think
poop will be this square.

It's a salt lick
but it's very old.

Birdie.

It's definitely
a salt lick.

Right now, instead
of worrying about everyone's individual driveways,

I'm gonna do the main stretch
to make sure there's access to the mountain.

With the return
of the longhorns set in just one week,

brother Noah takes on
the task of clearing the 7-mile mountain road

using his homemade snow plow.

It's really important
to get the longhorns up,

not just for Da
but for the ranch as a whole.

If only my shoulder
wasn't injured.

I've been icing it,
I've been heating it,

it just doesn't want
to move like it should.

I can definitely
work through my arm,

it's good, it just hurts.

It's important to keep
the roads plowed

and out the ice
as much as possible.

Any extra ice or extra snow,
especially snow on top of ice,

would just get slick.

It'd just be really bad
for the trailers.

So, it's important
to even plow into the night, if necessary.

The next morning,

as the Browns prepare
for the return of their livestock...

Welcome to my extreme kitchen.

Extremely extreme
and extremely tasty.

... Brother Bear
prepares for a reuniting of his own

by cooking a city meal
for Raiven,

who will be visiting
with their son, River.

This visit with
River and Raiven,

it's gonna be really,
really cool

and I'm just really excited
that she's bringing him up to the mountain.

I feel very determined
to pass down

the "Code of The Bush"
to my son.

Essentially, I'm trying
to cook Raiven

a meal that she likes.

So, she really likes
wontons a lot.

So, this is it, right here,
these are the wonton wrappings.

So, it's basically this dough,
use egg, whatever.

Okay, I'm not gonna use
that one. I only have a few.

You're supposed to wait
till it's cooked.

- Yeah. I can see why.
- Yeah, little chewy? It's not bubblegum.

So, the city food
but I'm gonna cook it "bush-style."

Okay.

One thing
that makes this visit

with River and Raiven
different than last time,

this time, they're coming up
to the mountain.

We have a lot
going on right now

but I am just so excited
for River to visit

the mountain
for the first time.

So, first we're making
the inside of the wonton,

which is going to be bacon
and cream cheese.

We're gonna have
to fry the wontons

after we put their
center of goodness inside.

We're gonna put it inside,
wrap the wonton

and then we need to fry that.

Wow Bear, Raiven's really done
a number on you.

Last time we cooked,
you were like... food.

Now you're like,
"We pick the wonton wrappers

and we go wrap the creamy
goodness inside of it."

How is the old girl?

We're doing
really, really good, actually.

Everything's really
looking up.

I would be lying
if I didn't say

that I am very
protective of you,

- obviously.
- Yeah, I've noticed that.

And I don't want
you to get hurt

and I don't want
Raiven to get hurt.

But I'm really happy for you
that you're making it work.

Thank you sweetie, thank you,

it's been
a long road for sure.

I know Bear and Raiven
have been trying really hard

to make their
relationship work.

I know they still want
to get married

but it does make me
a little bit nervous

because I kinda feel like
it's throwing water on a grease fire.

Couple of burnt ones,
I'll take those for myself.

I'm just hoping that Bear
and Raiven can work it out this time for River.

There's something I want
to confess to you, Bear.

While the Browns
face a uphill battle

returning the livestock
to their mountain,

Father Billy's health
take a turn for the worst.

Well, I have some news
to tell the kids today

and it's bad news,
it's about Billy's health.

It's deteriorating rapidly
than we thought.

Billy's quite ill and he knows
it won't get better.

Da's not feeling good,
you know. - Mm-hmm.

He's having
to stay down there.

It's not the same
as it was before.

It will not get better.

You know, Da's been sick
a lot in my life.

You know, he gets sick
and then he gets better

but something about this time
feels a little different.

In this life, you never know
what tomorrow brings,

no matter what you want
tomorrow to bring.

I am trying to
stay strong for the kids

and stay positive for Billy

and try to give him
positive re-encouragement.

Coming to grips with it,
that's the biggest part.

He actually told me
that we have to go on.

Stay the course to never
give up, never surrender.

Kinda sparked
and perked up a little bit when we were talking about it.

So, we have a plan going.

Let's just go forward
and get the longhorns moving.

I'm sure, I think,
that'll be like a good dose of medicine for Da.

The animals,
they're part of the dream.

And when we were
all back up there together,

I think he can be more
comforted knowing that the ranch is back on track

because he realizes he really
doesn't have that long.

You know,
with Da feeling bad

and, you know,
not getting better at the moment,

it does,
it motivates me to get going.

I'm done with
all the big screws,

I'm gonna start hauling them.

Okay, sounds good.
I'll just keep taking these out.

And all of us work together
to get the longhorns back up

and get the ranch
built back up.

I think that's what Da needs.

And it definitely
motivates me for Da.

With less than
six days before the return of their livestock,

the Browns prepare
the ranch for their arrival.

Just on the end
of the bucket? - Yeah.

While Noah
splits his time between plowing the roads

and transporting lumber
for the new corral.

- It's like reverse Jenga.
- Yeah, really.

It's definitely
hard being up here working

but I know Dad wants us
to get the longhorns up and continue working,

even if, you know,
I won't be down mountain because he's feels bad.

How many can it take,
weight-wise?

2,000 pounds.

I don't think
we have that many.

- If I say so, all of them.
- Yeah, everything you have.

We need to
get work done as quickly as we can

because there's so much
we need to do.

It's extremely helpful
having a tractor,

with the amount of wood that
we should move in one load,

we got so much more
than they could lift by hand.

We're moving what could take
them days, in one load.

Okay, put it on
the front side. There we go.

Man, I do not know
what we'd be doing without your tractor.

- Let's do this.

as fast as it would go. - Onward!

I've never been in such
a fast vehicle before.

Breeze lightning!

Hey, if it wasn't
for this slow thing, you'd be taking like 30 trips.

- That's true.
- Very true.

Boy, I know
the tractors are supposed to be slow

but I don't think I've ever
seen anything move so slowly.

I think slugs move
faster than this.

It's certainly an extreme
tractor ride,

it's extremely slow.

I'm falling asleep, seriously.

- That's probably good.
- Okay.

Get out of the way,
I'm dumping it.

Don't break it,
put them nice and--

- Yeah!
- Yeah!

One load down,
at least one to go.

So, the wind
pushed this open

and let the wasps fly in.

So, right there is a wasp.

Up there,
they're working on a nest.

So definitely,
we need to clear out the wasps.

That's a little nasty.

Later that day,

Bear turns his focus
to the other pending arrivals on the mountain,

as he readies his Conex
for his son's visit.

We have been
through a little-- - Oh, this?

- Pokey--
- Well yeah, check this out.

See those things
are little bit sharp to have laying around.

Yeah, I'm not sure
what you use those for?

Extreme tweezers
for extreme tweezing. -

We really wanna
get the longhorns up as quickly as we can.

But it's really important
to get the Conex nice and clean

that way it's 100%
safe for River

because he's just
a little, tiny baby.

Any objects you see
that I should move.

Hanging ropes,
hanging things

that baby could
possibly pull down on him. - Yeah, take these down.

Absolutely a no-no.

Bear needs
quite a few pointers to make it safe enough

for river to come
into his Conex.

We have a lot of hornets
on the ground,

lot of metal everywhere
and basically, just baby-proofing,

you wanna make sure
there's nothing they can eat

that would hurt them.

Gonna tape this thing down.

I know that's not pretty
but it'll be stable for now.

Definitely not pretty.

It's kinda pretty,
kinda pretty.

See, see.

Very stable.

I mean, yeah, I'd definitely
say you have work to do

but everything should be fine.

I am just so excited
for River to visit the mountain

for the first time
because it's the Bush home.

And to have River up here,

actually breathing
in that mountain air and being there in my arms

on North Star Ranch,
I just couldn't be more excited.

It'd be cool to be able to,
you know, teach him like our parents taught us.

I came by a lot
of my extremeness 100% naturally,

so it probably flows
in the blood.

It's possible
that River might have that same, you know,

extremeness flowing
through him, his veins.

He looks like a little tiny,
miniature Bear. -

I think he's gonna
take after you a lot.

I definitely hope that River
will appreciate the Bush

the same way that I do.

Because there's
a certain freedom that comes through it,

a certain peace
that comes with it.

So, if he enjoys it,
that means he will have that same peace,

the same freedom
inside his heart.

I could not be more
looking forward to it.

I just can't wait to see
the little sparkle in his little, baby eyes.

It gets cold
just sitting up there, not doing anything

except moving
your hands, so...

This will be nice.

The next morning,

after the family spends
the night down mountain alongside father Billy,

Noah hatches a plan
to complete his road work

despite plummeting
temperatures.

Okay!

So, the idea that I have,

is that from the exhaust,
this piece once cut down

will slide over
the exhaust pipe like so.

Inside of this guy,
will be this fan.

And attached onto this guy,
will be this.

All this will be
screwed together

and then go straight
into that board,

like that.

No exhaust fumes whatsoever.

All there's gonna be
coming through here is actually the heat.

So basically,
using the heat created from the engine.

The temperatures
are pretty bad at night.

So, anything to be
able to add any heat to the tractor is good,

especially with my arm
right now.

So, I'm going all out in order
to be able to make sure

that we can get these animals
up here soon as possible.

Okay.

I think it's ready.

So, first off, the ground,
19 degrees.

Now, for in here.

60 degrees coming out of it.

I think this is
a smashing success.

This will be tropical.

I'm just gonna do scrambled eggs.

Oh, the egg is frozen.

Don't laugh.

- Kinda hard not to.

What is it?

It's a pineapple.

- That might be good.

So, how are you dealing,
about the upcoming events?

I mean, as long as
Bear's happy

and he knows what
he's getting himself into.

I think with Raiven
coming back around,

everyone is pretty
concerned for Bear.

Especially Bird,
she definitely has her reservations about it

and I can see why.

They haven't always had
the best track record.

You think it would
be a good idea

to at least sit down
and talk to Raiven?

Maybe just
get everything out on the table.

Not be harsh but just,
I'm Bear's sister.

Maybe I should
talk to Raiven. - Why?

You're a little harsher

No, I'm not.

What are your intentions

I just wanna see
how she's feeling

because I don't want Bear
to get hurt again.

I like Raiven
and I just want to make sure

that she's ready
and realizes what it entails.

I'm the younger sister
to all the guys

but there are times
when I always have acted like the older sister

and so,
I am protective of Bear.

And I think when someone's
so extreme and so headstrong

that just runs in,
you have to be.

I do think it's important
to have a talk with Raiven.

You know, to see
where her head is.

the Browns plan to return
livestock to the ranch

in just four days' time.

and then work our way down.

And at the site
of the future longhorn enclosure,

siblings Bird and Gabe
clear the snow

before the return
of their animals.

It's really deep.

So, just do a little,

till we get down
to the bottom.

We need to get the longhorns
up here yesterday,

so Bird and I are trying
to clear space for them.

because right now,
everything is under a really thick blanket of snow.

So, we're just trying
to clear off enough

that we can get
some kind of temporary longhorn pen built.

It's a lot of snow.

I'd just expand from here.

Push it out that way

Yeah.

You know, it has definitely
been a lot of work

to try and get those
longhorn pen up.

I think everyone
is definitely feeling that,

'cause it's a lot of hauling,
it's a lot of plowing.

It's worth it but...
it's tough.

After we get this section out,

Basically
for right now, yeah.

And then we can start actually
working on the fences.

Oh, it's a lot of snow.

All this
very deep snow,

it could be really fun.

- If we need a break, I'm in.

I know Gabe is struggling
with Dad's health.

Gabe's a big, tough guy
but he's also sensitive.

You know,
if someone doesn't feel good,

especially Da,
it runs his world.

You know,
as tight as we all are,

as strong as we all are,
I feel like Da's the glue that kinda hold that together.

He's just such a big
part of the family

and it's really hard up here.

It's hard to do all the things
that we're doing

on top of just everyday life.

And I just,
the siblings and I,

we're just gonna
have to really, really hold it together.

I think it would
help us if we go run in snow.

I'm gonna make a snow angel.

I slipped off the tractor.

When my right foot came down,
it completely gave out.

I caught on to the tractor
but as I did,

I twisted and pulled,
my arm extended too far backward.

It sounded like
a tearing sound.

So, yeah,
I've messed up my arm just a wee bit.

Do I need to club you over
the side of the head

and drag you down to a doctor?

- Do you need to go?
- No.

Do you feel, that you need
to get it looked at? - I don't need a doctor.

Well, there's quite a bit
I need to clear.

Do you think that maybe
you should just relax?

No.

If I don't keep plowing it
and it keeps snowing like this,

it's gonna get to a point
where I'm not gonna be able to plow it.

Between my Dad
not feeling well

and wanting the animals up,

we really can't
afford an injury.

There's just too much
riding on it.

We don't really
have the time to wait.

I mean,
I'm just worried about you.

Don't worry about me though,

I'll just plow right through
the pain.

I will definitely be able
to finish plowing the mountain.

After all, it's the right arm
you use to control the bucket.

But you drive
with the left arm,

so I'm sure I'll be
able to finish.

I've pushed past worst pain.

to finally have you guys up here.

Can't believe,
he's already so big.

After more than
2,000 mile journey from Texas,

River and Raiven arrive.

For Bear's son, it's his first
time on the Browns' mountain

and in the Bush.

- Yeah, oh!
- Do you wanna walk?

Oh, you're taking
a bite while walking?

- Oh, he's multi-tasking.
- He's eating on the go.

I have been looking forward
to this moment

for a very long time.

No matter what
has happened in the past,

no matter what happens
in the future,

right now is perfect.

From where I'm sitting
you look quite beautiful. - Thank you.

Last time we were on a picnic,
that was like no little baby.

Now we got a precious little
big blue one baby.

It's like, I'm gonna blink,
we're gonna have 20 kids

- and we'll holding them--

How many
you want then? - Not 20.

It was pretty hard on me,
to be honest,

everything that I had like,
gone on and all.

That just made me want
to fight you even harder

for, you know,
for you, essentially.

I feel every relationship
has a point

where things don't always go
exactly how you want them to

and the biggest part
of a relationship is figuring out

how to work through
those things.

I'm glad we were
able to get past that

and try to start fresh
and have family

and let River grow up
with both parents.

Raiven and I have been
getting along really well,

we actually have.

And I didn't actually expect
to blossom into a romance again.

But to be honest,
it's pretty awesome.

You know, if you have
feelings for someone,

you know, no matter
what kinda feelings they are,

it's always nice
to have those feelings bounce back at you.

I mean, it takes two to tango,
that just kinda something it is,

you know, it's definitely
a really awesome feeling.

This would be
a howling moment.

You and Daddy can howl.

My, my, mind if I howl?

All right, let Daddy howl.

I don't think he's ever heard
me howling before. - Not actually.

So, maybe

Yeah, it's never

The Browns push
to complete final projects

for the return
of their longhorns.

I mean, this is
a pretty good lumber,

I'm surprised that it
made it through the fire.

Same, 'cause if you
look around, everything around it burned.

And with a lack
of available materials,

sisters Bird and Rain
salvage old lumber

for the remaining posts
of the new corral.

It's a little buried.

These are the treated ones,

so they'll be good
for the winter time, too.

And they were just
my extra posts, so...

The longhorn enclosure
is gonna have to be fairly large.

So, we are using any materials
we can get our hands on,

a lot of that spare boards
from all of our houses.

A lot of my boards
are pretty small

because I do live in
a tiny house.

So, might have to overlap them

but I think all in all,
using spare boards and trees

for the longhorn pen
is gonna be

the most time-efficient
and cost-efficient way to build it.

I think these are gonna be
the main ones that we can use on the fence.

I know that longhorns
means a lot to Da

and so he wants the pen
to be like--

He wants it to be done right
and really good.

Well, I know he wishes
he could be up here with us, too.

Yeah.

I was gonna say--

I'm sorry, one second.

I know he's been having
hard time breathing, is the main thing.

I know it's hard
for him because...

it's harder up here,

which is why
he's having to stay down which I know kills him.

You know, he hates it.

Da's health has
definitely been up and down.

I'm a little worried about him
right now, though.

I've been trying to talk
to him about like,

going back to the doctor.

But it's nothing
that they can do,

there's nothing...
like, he's been before

and he just doesn't wanna go
to the doctor any more.

He just wants to be at home
and be with everybody.

But every time he's told me
and like he told us

'cause I talk to him
and I'm like, you know, like,

"I should just like
stay down here with you."

'Cause it's hard to be
away from him,

it's hard to be
working up here

when he feels so bad
down in the mountain.

But he's always saying,
"No, that's where you all need to be,

you need to be fixing,
you need to get the house ready,

you need to fix your port,"
like, things like that.

I know right now,
the most important thing

to us is Da's health.

But the most important thing
to Da is keeping the ranch going.

And honestly,
I don't think anything would make him happier

than having Brutus
back up on mountain.

Ready?

Don't get impaled, Bird, I'm serious.

Near the peak
of the Browns' mountain,

brother Noah pushes
through the pain

to clear the last
stretch of road.

I'll be the one
with the tractor,

so it makes it
my responsibility to take care of the roads.

And now that I have a heater,
it makes it a lot easier.

It means I can just work
all night.

But I'd be lying if I said
that I wasn't concerned about my Dad's health.

So, we just need to get
all of our animals back up where they belong.

At least, if they're up here,

he can rest easy knowing
that we're taking care of everything.

ever built a fire before?

- Not personally, no.
- Okay.

I feel like even if
you've seen one built,

if you paid close enough
attention, that is helpful.

I can't say I paid
close enough attention,

but I've seen it
here and there. - Okay.

I think, you know,
teaching Raiven how to build a fire is good

because that's something
you have to know how to do

if you're gonna
live this lifestyle.

And it gives me an opportunity
to talk to her a little bit.

There are multiple ways
to build a fire.

Some people do,
like the house design

and some people do,
like the teepee.

I like the house design
until it gets big enough

and then I swap to teepee.

Bear and Raiven's relationship
has definitely been rocky,

it's definitely been up
and it's been down.

It's exciting for, you know,
Raiven and River to come into the mountain

but I'm a little worried about
her being up here

because I don't want Bear to--
I don't want Bear to get hurt again.

So, I was curious,

how you feel--

he wants a family more than anything, you know?

But I know Bear wants to be
a part of River's life

and I think that,
above anything, is the most important thing.

before a planned transport
returns their livestock

back home to their mountain.

We are so close
to finishing our corral.

but we are bringing them up tomorrow.

Once the longhorns come up,
we'll just start bringing them all.

You know, the animals
have been displaced for six months now.

So, it's definitely gonna be
nice to get 'em all back up on the mountain.

They're gonna be
as ready for it as we are.

very proud to hear how much progress we have made

and how fast we have made it.

When Mom and Da
want something, Mom and Da get it.

Every time when
we go anywhere, he'd say, "I love you," he'd say more

because you never know when
it's gonna be the last time.

Billy's passing
has hit everyone very hard.

Going forward
seems impossible

because everyday
seems like a nightmare.

Da's been right here
with us, right now.

You know in spirit, he is.

Da gave us the plan,

we have to keep going.
