The challenge for Nell is going to be

and makes it feel like it's special coming from her.

I really think this showcases

who I am as a vocalist in my genre, R&B soul.

I'm born and raised in New Orleans.

Everywhere you go you see someone playing music --

jazz, bounce music.

The culture has molded me

into this unique artist and person that I am.

And so for this performance,

I'm definitely giving a little New Orleans twist to it.

We make everything kind of big.

who's just free as a creative and as an artist,

encourages me to do more of being myself.

My favorite thing to do is to look out to the crowd

you gotta be louder than that," and they start cheering so loud,

and then I just give it my all

and yodel as quickly as possible.

This is my first time seeing your personality come through.

of some sort so bad that you'd do almost anything for it.

It has feelings of heartbreak.

Recently, me and my girlfriend of three years broke up.

There's definitely sadness, but I think

I want to show Kelsea that I can be more diverse

It's a great, challenging song.

It's a sing-it-to-the-rafters song, which I always appreciate,

'cause, you know, it's good to have those big moments.

So he definitely won my approval there.

I picked this song 'cause I tend to really love synthesizers

and electronic sounds,

so it's kind of like the music I produce at home for myself.

I'm a full-time musician in L.A.

About four years ago, I taught myself to produce music,

and ever since then, I feel like

I've really started to grow into my artistry,

just because I want to push boundaries

and do new things that people haven't seen or heard before.

And this song is like an epitome of that,

because Alphaville decided to do it in a way

that is heavily synthesized and lots of electronic instruments.

So this is a cool opportunity.

So you have one of those unique problems

where, like, everything you sing sounds good.
