(Birth Certificate, Father: Lee Tae Poong, Mother: Han Yu Ra)

Are you okay?

Why?

What does the text message say?

It's nothing. My hand just slipped.

Try to be careful.

You look tired.

Why don't we get up now?

Shall we?

(Episode 59)

Why did you plan that dinner today?

Yu Ra?

Yes.

I don't know what you had in mind to made us go to that dinner,

but never bring her out again.

(Birth Certificate, Father: Lee Tae Poong, Mother: Han Yu Ra)

Who would send me this?

Yes, I issued the certificate.

To whom?

This is personal information. You can't just tell a stranger.

He said he was your husband.

My husband?

Yes, he said he was Han Yu Ra's husband.

We also checked his identification card.

You have the security footage on the day this was issued, right?

Let me see it.

Our cameras broke down a week ago, so they're being repaired.

We don't have the footage.

Was it this man?

Yes, it was. I'm certain it was him.

What did you want to ask me?

Where's Tae Poong?

Tae Poong?

You know where he is, don't you?

Tell me where he is right now.

Tell me!

He's dead.

I'm sorry?

Tae Poong is dead.

Stop lying. I just checked it myself.

What did you check?

You're the one who abandoned him.

Why are you looking for him now?

That's none of your business.

Are you sure he's dead?

After you deserted him five years ago,

we were told he was sent to a rehabilitation center.

And he died shortly after staying there.

I also found out recently.

Are you certain?

Ask our parents if you can't believe me.

They also know about it.

Tae Poong is dead?

What on earth is going on?

(Birth Certificate, Father: Lee Tae Poong, Mother: Han Yu Ra)

What do you think, Yu Ra?

Do you like the present I got you?

Come in.

- Hey. - What brings you here?

Yu Ra was looking for Tae Poong.

I was wondering if you knew anything about that.

So what did you tell her?

I told her he's dead.

Good job.

If someone asks again, do the same thing.

If Yu Ra finds out...

that I'm alive and you knew about it, it would do no one any good.

She's suddenly looking for you,

and it makes me worry.

Yu Jung.

Do you believe in me?

Of course, I do.

Then please hang in there and wait.

I'll explain everything later.

Why did you come here? What if your father sees you?

Mom, is Tae Poong...

dead?

How did you know that?

Is he really dead?

Yes.

Your father went to Chuncheon and confirmed it.

We can't even find his body as he had no family or friends registered.

But why are you asking me that?

Is something going on again?

So you're certain Tae Poong is dead?

That's what I said.

Fine.

Grandma.

Hey, little puppy.

Did you have a good nap?

It's the mean lady.

What are you doing here?

Go away, mean lady.

Dong Ho, you don't talk to an adult that way.

I'm leaving.

She wouldn't be in another trouble, right?

Tae Poong is dead?

But the gynecologist said...

it was Tae Poong.

You're drinking this, right?

Thanks.

Seo Jun told me...

you're staying until the collaboration ends.

Yes. I was in charge of the project. I should see it finished.

Why don't we have dinner with Min Woo tomorrow?

What?

I'd love that. What do you want to eat?

What's my Min Woo's favorite food?

What does he don't like?

Is there any food he can't eat because he's allergic like me?

He seems to also like tonkatsu. We have similar tastes.

One at a time.

Also, you can find that out by spending some time with him.

You'll be with us forever now.

Right.

How about we throw him a birthday party?

For his birthday?

It's past his birthday.

It troubles me that I was never there for his birthdays so far.

You can throw him parties every year now.

Don't bother.

Still.

I'll make a reservation at a nice place for him, okay?

You found the security footage from the building next door?

Send me the footage right now.

Lee Tae Poong...

is alive?

I watched it.

Look into Lee Tae Poong.

Find out whether he's alive or not,

and where he is and what he's doing if he's alive.

Get me the information immediately.

What's this?

A cooperator in Chuncheon we made a deal with yesterday sent a gift.

A gift?

- Thank you. - Yes, ma'am.

I'll open it.

A gift? Oh, my.

They're Korean sweets.

The color's pretty.

It's delicious.

- Is it? - Yes.

There are so many different kinds.

I'm home.

Hi, did you just get here?

- Yes. - Yu Ra!

You should come here and try the Korean sweets too.

Somebody gave this as a gift.

Who gave this?

A cooperator in Chuncheon sent it after signing a contract.

Hwa Yeon,

this is so soft and delicious.

Let's order some more.

This must be made in Chuncheon.

Woo Seok might know where it is made.

He received it as a gift. He might not know as well.

How about we ask Chief Yu then?

He was with Woo Seok when he selected the partner company.

Did you say he was in Chuncheon too?

Yes. Is there something wrong?

It is nothing.

I didn't know the chief legal officer does such work.

Father.

- Yes. - Try these.

Okay, thank you.

I heard you went to Chuncheon for a business trip.

Yes, I did. How did you know?

The Korean sweets. I tasted the gifts you brought. They were tasty.

Did you go there by yourself?

No, I went there with Chief Yu.

I didn't know the chief legal officer was supposed to watch...

the partner company's presentation.

It's not that. I had to not only select the partner company...

but also sign the contract, which was why he had to join.

I see.

If so, was he with you all day until you came back to Seoul?

Yes, we did. We carpooled.

Why do you ask?

It is nothing.

I chatted too much. You must be busy with work.

- You can go back to your work. - Okay.

If Father was with him the whole day,

he wouldn't have had the time to drop by the gynecologist.

Is Tae Poong really alive, then?

Is the director here?

- Where is her office? - Pardon?

I am the director here. What is your occasion?

We are from Chuncheon Police Station.

We received a report on concealing neonatal death...

and violating medical law. You should join us at the station.

What? That didn't happen!

It's not true!

- We'll talk once you come with us. - It's not!

- Let's go. - I didn't do it!

- Be quiet! - I never did it!

- It's not me! - Walk straightly, gosh!

Let me go!

What did you say?

The doctor got arrested...

and the hospital will soon be shut down.

Then, what will happen to the birth certificate?

What happens to that?

Documents of the shut-down hospital will be transferred to the nation.

If that happens, there is nothing I can do about it.

If I can't destroy the document,

there is only one way left.

Why did you call me in such a hurry?

Is there any trouble?

Is there something I need to help you with?

Yes, Mom.

I want you to help me. I need your help.

What is it?

Tell me. I will help you with anything.

Mom,

Let's send Min Woo...

to the United States.

What?

What are you talking about out of the blue?

I'm not saying Min Woo will be going alone.

You should go to the United States with Min Woo.

Why are you sending him to the United States?

Min Woo is...

an obstacle.

Min Woo is not your child.

Min Woo changed his name. He is now registered as Yu Jung's son.

Why is he your obstacle?

Min Woo's existence itself is an obstacle to me.

As long as he is in Korea,

he will tie me up at any time.

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday, dear Dong Ho

Happy birthday to you

But it's not my birthday today.

Why am I having a birthday party?

You haven't had a party with me.

I wanted to celebrate with you too.

Dong Ho, did you make a wish?

Yes.

Make a wish and blow out the candle.

What did you wish for, Dong Ho?

I wished for you to be my dad.

Shall we give presents now?

Dong Ho, Mr. Yu got you a present!

Really?

Here you go!

It's a watch!

Dong Ho hasn't learned to tell the time yet.

It's not a watch.

This is a cellphone.

You can now call people with this.

- Is that true? - Of course. Why don't you call me?

Like this...

(My Treasure)

Hello?

Wait, it really works!

Now, you can call me whenever you want.

You can call Mom, and you can call me.

I love it!

Thank you, Mr. Yu!

Let's take a picture to remember this day.

Stick together, so I can take a picture of you two.

Okay, I will take the picture now.

Three, two, one.

Mrs. Yoon, would you like to try these?

I don't really like ice cream.

Mom, you know this ice cream brand is very famous, don't you?

Yu Myung became a model of this brand's commercial.

Is that so?

Isn't that only allowed for celebrities?

That means this house is having...

a celebrity as a guest!

Mrs. Yoon.

I did my best to stand proud in front of you.

Thanks to you, I was able to get a decent position.

Now I am...

able to make Ye Jin...

really happy.

So...

please allow...

our relationship.

Please do so.

They really do love each other.

Let them date each other.

Mom.

Mom, are you angry?

Ye Jin.

You should have told me in advance if a guest was coming today.

We don't have many side dishes to eat.

Not many side dishes?

Ye Jin, your mom allowed you two!

Yu Myung!

Thank you, Mrs. Yoon!

By the way, I am not a picky eater. I like to eat everything!

Thank you!

Yu Ra.

Yes, Mom. Did you make your decision?

Good. You made the right decision.

This is the best for him too.

I've thought it over...

and no matter how hard I think,

I don't think I can do that.

What?

It breaks my heart that that poor kid was abandoned...

by his mother and thinks his aunt is his mother.

Now you ask me to separate them.

I can't do that.

Why not?

I can do...

any other favors you ask me,

but I can't do this one.

So just note that.

Why would she want to do it?

Come back home early, everyone.

Since I got my first paycheck today, I'm treating you all...

to dinner.

Of course. We shouldn't miss that.

Bong Jun, you don't need to do that.

It's because I want to.

Dong Ho,

stay at home when you come from kindergarten, okay?

This Hawaii grandpa will buy you good food.

Okay.

Why are you going to work so early, Uncle?

I should go to the market...

and finish work early to come home early.

Okay. Then see you at dinner later. Let's go, Dong Ho.

- Let's go. - Let's go.

Why are you back? Did you forget something?

Yu Ra.

Mom, sit down.

What brings you here so early in the morning?

Mom,

go to the US with Min Woo.

I already said no to that.

Did you decide to get in my way?

How could you say that?

Why would I get in your way?

I'll raise Dong Ho well...

not to worry you.

I will never cause you any harm.

Really?

With Min Woo here, I'll be dead anyway.

If you won't leave, I'll just die here.

What?

What is this?

Sleeping pills?

So the decision is yours.

Do you want to watch your daughter die here...

or go to the US with Min Woo?

Yu Ra.

Fine.

You won't go.

I have no choice.

I should die.

Are you out of your mind?

You're crazy!

Spit them out!

Get away from me!

Yu Ra!

Spit them out!

Yu Ra.

Have you lost your mind?

Why?

I wanted to die. Why can't you even let me die?

Yu Ra,

what are you doing to your mother?

I'll be dead meat with Min Woo here anyway!

Why are you going to be dead?

It's been fine for the past five years.

Why are you suddenly acting this way?

Why?

Look.

Mom, I'm being blackmailed with this. Look!

What's this?

(Birth Certificate, Father: Lee Tae Poong, Mother: Han Yu Ra)

Who sent you this?

I don't know.

So Min Woo should be gone.

When it gets out, my life will be over.

(Vitamin C)

The sky has given up on her.

She's doing her utmost to survive.

Who is blackmailing her?

But...

I can't separate Dong Ho from Yu Jung.

So you've come to see Mrs. Lee too.

I couldn't when I was in the US,

but when I came to Korea, I came here every year.

If we had met here,

I could've recognized you earlier.

I was worried my mom would be lonely without me.

Thank you for remembering to visit her here, Yu Jung.

(Lee Kyung Hye)

Mrs. Lee,

I came with Tae Poong this time.

Mom,

this is Min Woo.

He's grown so much, hasn't he?

If you saw him in person,

you would love him so much.

I'll come with Min Woo next time.

Min Hyuk, let's leave his picture here...

so that she can keep seeing him.

Shall we?

You could leave it in there.

Here? Okay.

By the way,

what if you leave it here...

and people recognize you?

You're right.

What if I leave it in her notebook?

(Ilji Hospital, Choi Jun Seok)

Mom, if you miss me and Min Woo, look at this picture.

All right! It's time to give you presents!

- Oh, my. You also got us gifts? - Here.

- Well, they're just long johns. - You're the best.

Thank you.

Bong Jun, aren't you spending too much?

When you get your first paycheck,

you buy your family long johns.

Right.

Also, this is for Dong Ho.

Oh, my. It's a scooter.

I love it, grandpa.

Thank you, Uncle.

You're welcome. It's nothing.

Dong Ho, be careful when you ride it.

Don't forget to wear a helmet and pads, okay?

Okay!

I'm jealous, Dong Ho.

By the way, who gave you that?

It's a secret.

You can even make a call with it. It's so amazing.

Did you get him that?

What?

Yes.

Uncle, you prepared a lot.

You love this raw fish, Mom.

Mom, help yourself.

- Let's eat. - Mom.

What?

What are you thinking so hard about?

Nothing. Let's eat.

- Let's eat. - Oh, my.

Honey,

did something happen today?

Why the long face?

It's nothing.

You're still up.

Yes. I'm about to go to bed.

Do you have something to tell me?

No. I just came in.

I can't believe how fast Dong Ho has grown.

I know.

Kids grow so fast.

I hope they grow slowly, though.

When he says something mature,

it makes me wonder how fast he's grown.

Did it happen to you when you raised me?

So try to see him as much as possible...

when you can.

What?

What do you mean?

Well, just because.

Kids grow up fast day by day.

They're so cute at this age.

Go to sleep already.

Okay. Good night, Mom.

Yu Jung,

I'm sorry.

Understand me this once.

Why are you so late?

Take this.

Use it for the expenses there.

I'll send you money every month,

so don't even think about returning until he finishes school.

Grandma, are we going somewhere?

To a good place.

You'll love it there.

There's someone to help you at the airport.

You can just follow him.

Call me when you arrive in the US.

Yu Ra,

do you have to go this far?

Get in the car now.

(A Man in a Veil)

Now that Min Woo is gone to the US,

nobody knows about my past.

Where did you send Min Woo to?

Tell me now!

I don't know.

Don't you have a conscience?

Let's cut each other off for real.

My girlfriend? Her?

No, she's not.

Then what are we?

Tae Poong, how dare you send the picture here?

What do you think you're doing?

How can you still call yourself Min Woo's mother?

Do you want to get rid of your child that badly?

Just die.

You're Lee Tae Poong.
