(Episode 56)

I can't make it today.

Yu Ra's father is coming, so we'll have lunch at home.

Is this the thermal mattress store?

Please deliver a mattress to the address I'm sending you...

until 12 o'clock.

You can use the remote control to operate it.

- Okay. - This feels so nice and warm.

Seriously.

I'm so jealous, Hwa Yeon.

You get such a nice product as a gift.

But who sent this?

Chief Yu sent it to thank me for inviting him for dinner.

Really?

I should be the one to thank him, though.

I should send him a present later.

- I'll be out in the kitchen. - Okay.

So is it installed now?

Yes, ma'am.

You can write your signature here.

- Okay. - Here.

Wait,

is this house...

Here.

I wrote my signature.

They're my son and daughter-in-law.

You know Anchor Han Yu Ra, right?

Oh, yes.

I'll get going now. Thank you.

Let me give you a cup of tea or something.

You worked hard installing it.

Yu Ra, you're home.

Yes, Mother.

It must have been tough preparing for it alone.

I should have helped.

No, it wasn't that hard.

It's meeting your father.

He's been waiting for you since a while ago.

Is he already here?

Yu Ra, are you okay?

Yu Ra!

Yes.

My hand slipped.

My daughter, you're here.

Dad.

You got here early.

It's been so long. Give me a hug, kid.

Sure, Dad.

Ma'am,

I'll get going now.

What about your cup of tea?

No, it's all right.

Goodbye.

Why don't you go back in and finish your meal?

Sure.

How did the delivery go?

It's been a while since we had a customer...

ordering a product on the phone without taking a look.

Well, our products are known to be great.

That must be why,

right?

Honey.

Yes?

What's that?

What are you thinking about?

Did something happen when you were there?

No.

Nothing happened.

Nothing.

Yu Ra,

you'll soon pay for abandoning...

and neglecting your family for your own sake.

It's not that much as we only had little time to prepare.

But help yourself.

Oh, what do you mean? There's so much food here.

I'm enjoying it very much.

I heard the seminar won't end until next week.

Why are you going back so urgently?

It must have been a while since you've visited Korea.

Why don't you spend some more time?

I'm afraid I can't leave my office for that long...

because of the appointments already made.

He's quite busy.

He almost went back without even seeing me.

Still, you should spend some quality time...

with your daughter while you're here.

Yu Ra must be sad.

Every time we talk on the phone,

she tells me how great the family is to her.

So it put my mind at ease.

I sincerely appreciate it.

What we do for her is nothing.

She takes care of us so well.

How is your wife doing?

Yes, she's doing fine in the US.

Father,

you were in Gangnam a few days ago, right?

What's that?

Who was the child that was with you that day?

I couldn't say hello to you as I was driving.

But I saw a child was with you.

Oh, well...

It's my friend's grandson.

You must have spotted me going to buy him a toy.

You couldn't even see your daughter because of your busy schedule.

And you had time to see your friend?

Yes.

Dad, it must be him.

The friend you met at the seminar.

Right. Yes.

He's a friend from college.

We met at the seminar after years,

so I visited his house.

Go ahead and eat.

Mother worked really hard cooking the food. It'll get cold.

And you have a flight to catch.

Sure.

I'll drive you to the airport.

Oh, no.

I'll drop him off.

I want to be alone with him as it's been a long time.

We have some catching up to do.

Why don't you let Mr. Koo drive...

and talk to him on the way there?

No,

I want to spend time with him alone.

It's more comfortable that way.

Sure.

You can drive him to the airport then.

Okay.

Thank you for the meal today.

Goodbye, everyone.

Yes. Return safely.

How could you come to that place?

No, how could you come here?

You ought to keep ignoring us if you decided to cut ties.

You even hired fake parents.

Why do you come here and yell at us...

every time something goes wrong?

Do you think I want to come here?

My family keeps intruding into my life!

I was only there to deliver it!

If I had known it was your house, I wouldn't have gone either!

Delivery?

Who ordered the delivery?

Why do you care?

Just tell me who it was!

What do you want?

Mr. Yu,

why would you send presents to our house?

What are you up to?

It was your mother-in-law's gift to thank her for dinner last time.

Is there something wrong with that?

Is that really all?

What other reasons would there be?

Then why did you have to choose that store?

Do you have a reason that it can't be from that store?

Please get out of my office if you're done.

What is with him?

Why does he keep bothering me?

Does he know something about me?

No.

Then there's no way he kept it a secret to Seo Jun.

If no one has any plans for tonight, how about we grab a beer after work?

I would love that! Let's go to the new chicken restaurant nearby.

- Love it. - Me too.

Hye Su and I will go there first and get a table.

The rest of you can take your time.

Are you going too, Yu Jung?

I have to go home and look after Dong Ho.

Is that so?

- Okay, then. See you tomorrow! - Yes.

Excuse me, Chief Baek.

Aren't you going home, Ms. Han?

Please take this.

A letter of resignation?

Why? Is there something wrong?

There are family issues. I think I have to quit my job.

Ms. Han, you've worked so well until now!

Wouldn't you regret it if you quit like this?

If you need some time because of your family,

I can give you a few days off.

I am sorry, but I don't think I can make it.

But I will complete my work handover before I leave.

Yu Jung, what happened?

Why did you decide to quit?

There are family issues, so I had to quit.

What's the issue?

Tell me.

It could be something I can help with.

No. It is something I should solve by myself.

Is it...

because of Yu Ra?

No, it's not.

Yes, it is.

You liked coming to work.

You had passion. You were recognized.

It doesn't make sense that you are quitting work without any reason.

Anyway, I made up my mind.

Please proceed with my resignation quickly.

Yu Ra.

Is this your doing again?

What are you talking about all of a sudden?

What are you suspecting me about to come all the way here?

It's about Yu Jung.

Did you tell her to quit her job?

Is she quitting her job?

I know nothing about it.

Don't lie to me.

You know what?

The reason you come to me first is always because of Yu Jung.

When it comes to Yu Jung,

you are willing to take any risk.

I wonder if she...

thinks of you the same.

It doesn't matter.

I...

will not proceed with Yu Jung's letter of resignation.

If this was all your plan,

you failed.

About the letter of resignation...

Director Cha said he won't process it right away.

Why not?

He doesn't want to lose a talented member of his team!

He gave you a month of vacation with his authority.

In the meantime, take care of the family issue and come back.

Thank you for your kindness.

But I'm afraid I can't do so.

Are you sure you won't regret it if you quit your job like this?

You liked work and loved your job.

So...

please reconsider your letter of resignation.

I am sorry.

You already firmly made up your mind.

Okay, then.

Min Hyuk.

What happened?

I told you not to submit the letter of resignation.

We can find a way to solve this.

The more I drag on, the more it will harm you.

You know how Yu Ra is.

Yu Jung.

It's only fair for me to quit the job.

The person who should stay in DL Group...

is not me, but you.

Don't worry.

I grew a lot of confidence while working here.

Even if I quit working here,

I think I can quickly find another company I can work in.

I am sorry.

It is okay. Don't be sorry.

As long as you are with me, I am all right.

I should go now.

Hello, Yu Ra.

We are...

seeing each other quite often.

I heard Yu Jung submitted her letter of resignation.

Why do you ask me?

Didn't you order her to do so?

Seo Jun is...

stubbornly refusing to process Yu Jung's resignation.

I want you...

to persuade him.

Why should I do that?

Did you forget...

about the photo I have?

Right.

The photo.

That reminds me. I also have a photo to show you.

Where did you get this?

That's not what's important here.

What matters is that you were once married before...

and I found out about that.

You called me Tae Poong when you saw me, didn't you?

When I saw the photo, I was very surprised too.

You would have mistaken me for him.

The man named Lee Tae Poong...

really looks like me...

even in my own eyes.

I wonder...

what will happen if Seo Jun and his parents see this...

and know about your past.

That simple photo you have...

is never a threat to me.

I have that photo.

That's a copy.

You can have it.

How did he get this photo?

Gosh!

Hello, this is Han Yu Myung.

Hello, sir.

This is a bargain offer from our company...

No, thank you!

If they are not calling despite the wait,

you must have failed the audition.

Why do you have to ruin the mood?

It is still the middle of the day!

There are hours left until the day ends.

Don't have high hopes, Yu Myung.

Come and work with me from now on.

While living your life,

sometimes you need the courage to give up as well.

Hey!

Why did you have to say that to him?

I didn't say anything wrong.

I will someday sew up that mouth.

What is this noise?

Leave him alone. He should release his stress.

- Mom! - What?

I passed the audition!

Oh, my son!

Han Yu Myung, your son,

passed the final audition of the commercial!

I'm so proud of my son!

I'm so proud of you.

Okay, great!

Congratulations, Yu Myung!

I knew you'd make it.

Let's have a party today.

What do you want to have?

I'll make anything you want. Just give me the word.

No. Not today, Mom.

I have to go somewhere.

Ye Jin!

Yu Myung!

Yu Myung.

I missed you so much.

I was also dying to see your pretty face.

Congratulations, Yu Myung.

I knew you'd make it.

It's all thanks to you.

I gave it my all so that I could see you.

I can present myself proudly to your mother.

Is that why you came all dressed up?

Of course. I'll formally present myself and get her approval.

Should we get going now?

Yes.

- Let's go. - Let's go.

Please believe me this once, Mrs. Yoon.

I can really make Ye Jin happy.

I'm certain I won't make her cry.

How can you guarantee that?

Mom.

Yu Myung passed his audition.

He did it to be able to proudly present himself to you.

That's how much he tries for me.

Kang Ye Jin.

Have you forgotten...

what intentions he approached you with?

He already apologized for that...

and I forgave him.

We've already moved on that matter.

Is that as easy as you say?

Mrs. Yoon.

When we start off on the wrong foot,

we just have to start again.

I've reflected on myself over and over again for hurting Ye Jin.

I can't...

get rid of my thoughtless past entirely. However,

I'll give my best so that Ye Jin won't remember...

about such past.

So please believe me this once.

Mom,

can't you just approve us?

What you wish for the most is my happiness.

I'm so happy when I'm with Yu Myung.

Even still,

if you get hurt again...

Do I stop the happiness I feel now...

because of fear for the pain I might feel later?

That's not it.

Su Hee! The vegetables today are also really fresh.

Yu Myung,

what are you doing here?

Chef Yeo, do you know him?

Mrs. Yoon, he's my nephew.

What brings you here today, Yu Myung?

Are you here to have some raw fish?

Uncle.

He's my boyfriend.

What?

What?

What is it? Why did you call me?

The photo. Did you give it to him?

What photo?

Where did you get this?

Are you playing the fool?

You are the one who gave it to Min Hyuk.

Chief Yu gave you this photo?

Your acting improves day by day.

How dare you play the fool?

Only Tae Poong and our family...

had this photo.

But...

if you didn't give him this photo,

how did Min Hyuk get his hands on it?

Min Hyuk, I met with Yu Ra.

Why? Did she say something again?

I heard that you showed her the old wedding photo.

What in the world are you planning to do?

What if she finds out about your true identity?

You have to find the culprit who framed Mrs. Lee.

I'm doing this to find the culprit.

What?

What are you talking about?

I have to stay in this company in order to find the culprit.

But Yu Ra is trying to get me kicked out.

I have to get her out of DL first.

Min Hyuk.

Yu Jung,

I know you are worried about me.

And I know you are concerned for Yu Ra too.

I do feel bad about that.

But...

Yu Ra abandoned Min Woo and me...

and left after betraying my family.

I think she should pay for her sins.

And now that she knows I have that wedding photo,

she won't be able to blackmail us about our relationship.

What if...

Min Hyuk gives that photo to Seo Jun?

I have to stop him.

Seo Jun should not see that photo.

It's me.

Post an article tomorrow morning.

("Photoshopped Indecent Images of Anchor Han Distributed Everywhere")

How vulgar! What are all these?

I'm sorry, Father.

Why should you be sorry?

These people are at fault.

You must be quite upset.

My gosh! There are so many freaks out in the world.

How could they do such things?

They made up pictures that don't even exist...

and posted them as if they were real.

These scumbags!

I guess all the female broadcasters go through such things.

I think I have to endure through it...

as someone who's known in the public.

What enduring?

We'll have to find them and make them pay for it.

Honey, we can't let this slide.

We'll have to take legal action.

Yes. We'll have to do so.

Why don't we ask Chief Yu?

No.

My broadcasting company's legal team will take action.

I'm sorry.

Seo Jun, you should look after her.

If you need my help,

let me know.

Thank you.

I'm sorry for troubling everyone.

With all that happening,

everyone will think the wedding photo Min Hyuk has...

to have been Photoshopped as well.

No one will believe it.

Don't mess with me, Min Hyuk.

("Photoshopped Indecent Images of Anchor Han Distributed Everywhere")

Yu Ra,

is this how you will react?

You've made a big mess again, Han Dong Ho!

You'll get a good scolding...

if Grandma sees this.

You brat.

It's Mom and Grandma!

It's Mr. Superman!

What? "Mr. Superman"?

Yes. Here's Mr. Superman.

Is that right?

Let me take a look.

Dong Ho,

how do you know this man?

He bought delicious things for me...

and came to my kindergarten too.

What did you say?

Is it really...

this man?

Yes! It's Mr. Superman.

Hold on.

Wait a minute.

Dong Ho met with Tae Poong?

What's going on?

Hey, Yu Jung.

Dad, I'm in a meeting. I'll call you later.

Okay.

He bought delicious things for me and came to my kindergarten too.

Hello, how have you been?

Yes, this is Dong Ho's grandfather.

There's something I wanted to ask you.

He came as Dong Ho's one-day father.

His name was Yu Min Hyuk.

He said he was the chief of DL's legal department.

Legal department.

Excuse me,

I'm here to see Chief Yu Min Hyuk.

Did you make an appointment?

Well, not really.

Mr. Yu bought...

a mattress yesterday,

and I need his signature here.

- Okay. Please wait. - Okay.

Yes, what is it?

Mr. Han Dae Chul is here for you.

He says he needs your signature for a mattress you've purchased.

Mr. Han Dae Chul?

Okay.

Everything looks good. Well, then.

One second, Chief Baek.

I have a favor to ask.

A favor?

Could you go to the lobby on my behalf...

and sign a purchase agreement?

On your behalf?

I'm waiting for an important call.

You just have to sign it under my name.

I just need to sign with your name, right?

Yes. Please do so.

Mr. Han Dae Chul?

Where should I sign?

So where should I sign?

Oh, right.

Please sign over here.

This man is Yu Min Hyuk?

- Here you go. - Okay.

- Have a good day. - Thank you.

Chief Yu, I signed it off.

Did he ask you anything else?

He didn't say anything.

I see.

Thank you, Chief Baek.

Not at all. See you, then.

Tae Poong!

You are Tae Poong, aren't you?

You are Tae Poong, right?

(A Man in a Veil)

Congratulations on being selected as DL's best employee.

You've been recognized and awarded for something you wanted to do.

Do you really have to quit?

Isn't the year-end holidays to be spent with lovers?

Would you like a cup of coffee?

You said you even went to the rehab center and confirmed his death.

If you are the person I know, you must have a scar on your forehead.

You should earn your keep!

Leave now!

I know everything.

You were asked to act as her parent, right?
