NARRATOR: Around and along, in the middle of somewhere,

lives a little sound collector.

Ah, yes, and his best friend, Mole.

Putting in his hearing aids,

the Sound Collector starts to hear the world around him.

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

GENTLE SNORING

MURMURING

NARRATOR CHUCKLES Morning, Mole.

He's ready for some sound collecting.

SWITCH CLICKS

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

Ah.

BIRDSONG

WATER GUSHING

And what a perfect autumn day for collecting it is.

BIRDS HONKING

Autumn is a noisy season. LEAVES CRUNCH UNDERFOOT

Lovely, crunchy noises.

And best of all, leaping into leaves.

HE CHUCKLES

Hm. What's that? BUZZING

A familiar sound. BUMBLY BUZZING

But where?

MORE BUZZING

SOFT FOOTSTEPS

It's a bee! Bees are such hard workers.

But she looks all buzzed out.

Yes. Maybe she'll get some nectar from a flower.

Hm. This isn't working.

HE GASPS

Ah! He's sending a signal.

Yes. The Seed Collector will know what to do.

She knows all about bees.

HEBE BUZZES

What's she making? Hm.

A sweet drink, perhaps? To give the bee some energy.

SNUFFLING

Looks like someone else needs feeding.

Yes. A mole needs her energy too.

MOLE MUNCHES NOISILY

He's keeping his distance.

Some bees can sting if they feel scared.

SWITCH CLICKS

There. That's better.

INSISTENT BUZZING

Oh, no. Fly!

CLATTER, PUFF

Oops! Oh, dear.

BUZZING CONTINUES

HEBE BUZZES, THEY GASP

Ah, that's got her buzzing again. BEE BUZZES

Goodbye! And thank you!

I wonder where the bee is going.

WAVE OF BUZZING

LOUD DRONING Of course. A beehive.

BUSY BUZZING Ah! Listen to that!

Busy making honey.

SOFT SNORING Mole!

HE CHUCKLES

BUZZING ON TAPE, MOLE SNIFFS

No, it's not Fly.

BUZZING CONTINUES

Yum! A gift from the bees. Perfect to spread on toast.

But first...

NARRATOR CHUCKLES ..Mole needs a bath.

SPLASHING

No, Mole! WATER SPLATTERS

Agh! NARRATOR CHUCKLES
