..lives a little sound collector.

Oh, yes, and his best friend, Mole.

MOLE SIGHS

Putting in his hearing aids,

the Sound Collector starts to hear the world around him.

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

CLATTERING NEARBY

What's that Mole doing?

MOLE SNUFFLES

Ah, there she is.

No wonder Mole's puzzled.

She can hardly see anything outside.

What a foggy day.

The Sound Collector seems rather intrigued, though.

There, all for Mole.

MOLE EATS NOISILY

Wow! The fog hasn't ruined your appetite, Mole.

SWITCH CLICKS

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS

PIGEONS COO, WATER BABBLES

SOUND COLLECTOR SIGHS

WATER CASCADES, WHEEL CREAKS

Great sounds are all around.

But none for the eye to see.

Oh, hello.

MOLE SNUFFLES

Mole might not be able to see the best,

but she has an amazing sense of smell.

MOLE GRUNTS

Mole! How will we find you?

MOLE GRUNTS

Good thinking. He can follow the sounds she makes.

Things sound so different when you can't see them.

It's like a guessing game.

MOLE SNUFFLES, NARRATOR CHUCKLES

And guess who that is!

I wonder where Mole has got to?

SQUEAKING, RUSTLING

Oh, that could be a hedgehog, perhaps.

They love rustling the leaves. CREAKING

That sounds like the cottage gate.

NARRATOR CHUCKLES Still needs oiling.

SOUND COLLECTOR GRUNTS Oops!

The noise of a Sound Collector tripping over a rock.

CHUCKLING No harm done.

CHURCH BELLS CHIME Hmm.

Sounds to guide him through the fog.

CHIMING

The church bells, far away.

Maybe this way.

He's found his way to the cottage.

CHIMING CONTINUES

And there's the little girl.

GIRL GIGGLES He doesn't need to hide today.

Ah! Now where is he?

So quiet. COCKEREL CROWS

A cockerel. He must be near the farm.

Well, it's not easy to find your way in such a quiet, thick fog.

They're everywhere.

SOUND COLLECTOR EXCLAIMS Yes!

Time to get home for his breakfast.

SCRAMBLING

RUSTLING

It's getting closer.

RUSTLING APPROACHES

GRUNTING

CHUCKLING Oh, it's just Mole.

She's found the Sound Collector with her great sense of smell.

And by the smell of things,

she found something smelly to roll in, too.

Oh, Mole!

Hmm. How will they get home now?

CHIMING

Listen. The wind chimes again.

Follow that sound.

MOLE GRUNTS Oops!

PIGEON COOS

SOUND COLLECTOR: Ah!

NARRATOR: Look, home.

CHIMING

Time for his breakfast, I think.

SOUND COLLECTOR SNIFFS

And a wash.

There. MOLE SNUFFLES

MOLE SNEEZES Bet she smells a lot better now.

Erm... No, you don't, Mole.

SHAKING, WATER SPLASHES

Oh! Oh, yes, you do.
