hey guys if you are considering joining

concept art academy this is a quick look

at a day in the life of an Academy

student so that you will know what

you're getting for your money what's

expected of our artists and just a

general feel for the program so this is

our main course Hub and everything is

laid out week by week so that you'll

always know where you are in the program

what you have for homework where you

belong each week it's laid out as a 6-

week design module and a 6 week painting

module so design is where I find most

artists need the most help we learn

fundamentals of shape design how to tell

a visual story how to conjure cool

things out of thin air and then for the

second half of the course the painting

module we learn to render to polish

things to make them look real but also

look stylish and Artful and expressive

to make a really cool eye-catching

industry focused portfolio so how this

works is when you join you get put into

a design house it's a small group of

artists like yourself who are seeking

professional level skills sort of like

the Harry Potter Sorting Hat and this is

where we all hang out we interact as a

small group and we have weekly live

classes here now we meet every Thursday

at 11:00 a.m. Central us time but

everything is recorded within the

platform so if you have a schedule

conflict it's not a big deal there is

also lots of one onone we meet as a

group but this is also very much a

mentorship there is individual coaching

between me and each artist a lot I do

loom recording paintovers to give notes

and we just chat and make a custom plan

for each artist so it's very much a

mentorship plus the benefits of a small

group setting where everybody can learn

from each other and lift each other up

right now we are in machine design week

and check this out this is a really cool

cyberpunk pistol that one of our artists

Christopher Hayes has designed this week

which is awesome that is a basic look at

how the program works but it goes way

deeper in the painting module we have a

massive exercise library with step-by

step instructions on how to paint pretty

much anything we have a really active

alumni Community for continued support

and networking and there's also just

support from me long after the 12 weeks

are over I take this really seriously

when an artist joins the program when

they trust me with this I want to help

you achieve your artistic goals whatever

they are and I love chatting with
