NARRATOR: Around and along, in the middle of somewhere,

lives a little Sound Collector.

SNORING Ah, yes! And his best friend, Mole.

Putting in his hearing aids,

the Sound Collector starts to hear the world around him.

WAVE OF SOUND SWELLS, HE SIGHS

MOLE SNORES, GRUNTS

MOLE FARTS, SOUND COLLECTOR GROANS

Night-time sound collecting.

TICKING Oh. It's a full moon.

Is Mole coming too? MOLE SNIFFS

HE CHUCKLES Well, that answers that question.

NARRATOR CHUCKLES

CLICK Oh, he's switched his mic on.

Listen.

OWL HOOTS, HE SIGHS

Ooh! He's going camping!

Oops! NARRATOR LAUGHS

STRUMS Now that is a great noise.

STRUMMING MELODY

Nice!

What could be better than camping out beneath the stars?

WINGS FLAPPING

Oh? There's something else in there.

HE GRUNTS

WINGS CONTINUE FLAPPING

That's it! Out you come, Moth.

OWL HOOTS IN THE DISTANCE

HOOTING

Yes! The hoot of an owl.

OWL CONTINUES HOOTING

HOOTING STOPS

Hmm.

BATS SCREECHING, WINGS FLUTTERING

Look at that! Bats.

STATIC, SONAR BEEPING

A bat sonar detector... DETECTOR BEEPS

..to listen to bats. BATS' HIGH-PITCHED SQUEAKS

Wonderful night noises.

MOLE SNORES AND COOS

Uh-oh! Someone's woken up.

MOLE GRUMBLES

SNIFFS

OWL HOOTING

CRICKETS CHIRP LIKE RIPPLING CARDS

Listen to that.

OWL CONTINUES HOOTING

All the noises at once.

I wonder if the moon can hear them from up there?

GROUND RUMBLING That's a strange sound.

It's coming from the ground.

RUMBLING STOPS What is it?

ANIMAL COOING

TOY SQUEAKS Mole! Of course!

Hello, you!

What a wonderful surprise. COOING CONTINUES

Ah, yes. The best sound of the night.

OWL HOOTING, MOLE GROANS

Oh, Mole.

It's only the owl.

Yes, maybe it's time for bed.

MOLE COOS Ah, all ready to snuggle down.

Good night, Mole. Night-night, Sound Collector.

WINGS FLAPPING, MOLE GRUNTING

Uh-oh.

TENT RUSTLES

Where are you going now?

FLAPPING Hello again.

SOUND COLLECTOR GRUNTING

Oh, Mole.

OWL HOOTS

Oops! Maybe camping in the dark isn't such a good idea.

SNORING Ah, that's better.

ROPE STRUMMING MELODY

Well, indoors or outdoors,

being together is the best place to be.
