[Fighting for love]

[Episode 21]

Chengyi.

How is Shi Dachun doing?

Marshal,

Shi Dachun has been as usual as always.

But he suddenly went out with his wife the other day.

Where did they go?

Not far.

They just went to the nearby alley.

It was reported that

Shi Dachun cried on the spot.

General Shi really loves his people as his son.

Marshal wants to take him under your wing?

Those who love their people as their children

can't be used.

By the way,

is the lady in Chang Yuqing's room

still in the house?

Chang Yuqing said

that woman is his.

Is that true?

How could that woman

appear in the marshal's room?

Chang Yuqing must be lying.

It must be a trap.

Marshal,

should we get her for an interrogation?

No need.

What can she do?

Just send someone to keep an eye on her.

Yes.

Go.

Go. Go.

Uncle Shi asked me to come here.

Do you have any ideas on how to defeat the enemy?

Young Marquis.

Young Marquis, please take a look.

All the generals of the Beimo Army live in Yuzhou City.

We only need send an elite troop

to catch them all,

and we can take back Yuzhou City.

That's a good idea.

But...?

But it's not that easy.

Chen Qi is meticulous.

He has stationed several Beimo soldiers in the city.

He and the other generals of Beimo

led these soldiers

to stay in every corner of the city

to suppress the people.

The Beimo Military Camp

is five miles away from the south gate.

As long as we can get the news inside,

we can reach outside the city in an instant.

If we attack from both inside and outside,

I'm afraid there will be a catastrophe in Yuzhou.

Yes.

We'll discuss this later.

I'm going to the City Guard Mansion to meet someone.

Are you hungry or thirsty

or do you want to go to the toilet again?

I just came out for some fresh air.

You don't have to follow me.

What do you want?

I told you

I'm just walking around.

Can you stop following me?

I was ordered to serve you.

I dare not neglect you.

Fine.

What's wrong?

Did Mo Yu not serve you well?

He did it very well.

He followed me everywhere.

Maybe he even want to hold my pants

when I go to the toilet.

Isn't that serving me well enough?

If you want to be alone,

you can.

But you have to promise me one thing.

You can't leave this house.

General,

General Shi wants to see you.

Got it.

Yes.

Can you do it?

I'll keep my promise.

You,

go to the pharmacy and get the medicine I usually take.

Yes.

What is it, General Shi? Go ahead.

I heard that the Chang family of Beimo is also a noble family.

I don't think there is a rule letting a guest to talk without any treats.

Go and make a pot of good tea.

Yes.

I heard that the Nanxia girl General Chang captured

is locked in the garden.

She's so fierce.

That's right.

Nanxia girl.

General Shi.

You’ve had the tea

and desserts.

If you don't tell me your intention,

I'll have to see you out.

You have been staying idle at home.

But I have a lot of things to deal with.

Don't worry, General Chang.

I'm thinking about how to say it.

This matter...

It is hard to speak out.

Why don't you go back and think about it?

I have work to do.

Please excuse me.

General Chang.

Calm down.

I heard that

the people in Yuzhou City are greatly bullied by the Beimo soldiers.

The Beimo soldiers are like bandits.

Some even hurt people

in broad daylight.

You shouldn't have come to me.

You should go to Chen Qi.

I've talked to him.

He told me to come to you.

Do you think I can help you?

I'm a general who kills.

Do you think I care if people die?

General Chang doesn't care.

Neither does Marshal Chen.

The imperial court of Beimo

probably cares about it.

The Chang family of Beimo should care about it.

If this goes on and all the people in the city escape,

Yuzhou City will be ruined.

Who will benefit from this?

Go on.

Who?

Miss.

You have to restrain yourself.

I-I-I can't do it.

What are you doing?

It’s me.

Mai.

Why are you dressed like a girl?

I thought I was going to be unfaithful.

Why are you here?

W-Where should I be?

I see.

You're disguising as yourself

and waiting for me to get you out.

I'm here. Let's go.

Wait, let me see.

No, I can't leave now.

What do you think?

Yes.

I'm asking you what the situation is outside.

O-Outside?

It's like this outside.

Some of the generals of the Beimo Army

are all in the city now.

We planned to

to catch them all.

But later we found Chen Qi was too cunning.

He asked every general

to lead a sub-unit and

scatter to all parts of the city.

So sending an elite troop

to catch them all

might not be easy.

Let's go.

Don't think too much.

I have an idea.

Mai.

Mai.

Mai.

General Mai wants to practice with me?

You can't hurt me.

I want to marry you.

Take a look.

Sugar-coated haws.

Take a look.

Sugar-coated haws.

Pack these two boxes.

One foot nine.

Wingspan is two feet two.

Shoulder width is one foot two.

Two feet three.

Sugar-coated haws.

So high!

If you like it, buy it.

I don't like them.

What do you like?

Just ask them to wrap them up.

I like this one.

This one.

Wooden ones look better.

Wood material is more gentle that

it will not easily hurt people.

General Chang is so petty.

You are not even giving gold for your wedding.

This is my first gift to you.

You must take it.

[East Street Market]

Why are you laughing?

Looking at you being like a woman,

I find it interesting.

I'm a woman.

Tell me.

Why did you marry me?

Do you regret it?

You set the wedding banquet at the City Guard Mansion.

The City Guard Mansion are full of Chen Qi's men.

Aren't you afraid of death once you fight?

I'm Mrs. Chang.

Get ready to be my bride.

Hurry up.

It's tilted.

Up, up.

Okay.

Here you are.

Down, down.

Okay.

Brother.

Why are you here?

She, she...

Isn’t she the battalion commander of the Seventh Battalion of the Zhenbei Army?

She, she...

Why is she a female?

Turn around.

This is your sister-in-law.

What are you talking about?

Brother, brother, brother.

Brother, I...

Sister-in-law is so beautiful.

Don't mind it.

He is immature.

It's okay.

I think he's quite cute.

Men in Beimo are really strong.

Brother, she said I'm strong.

No wonder my brother likes you.

I kind of like you too.

Did you send the invitation?

No.

Get lost if you don't and send them out now.

Brother.

Okay, brother.

A-A long and happy marriage.

How is it? Are you satisfied?

You prepared so well.

Of course I'm satisfied.

That's good.

Absolutely not.

Why not?

During the wedding,

the soldiers of Beimo gathered in the City Guard Mansion.

We'll lead the army there.

Once you give the order,

we'll break into the wedding banquet

and kill the soldiers of Beimo.

This is a great opportunity.

What great opportunity?

Because this girl...

She’s Mai.

Mai is a girl.

Our priority

is to protect Mai.

You always think about killing them all.

Mai may be in danger at any time.

I see.

That's why Young Marquis

insisted on going to the City Guard Mansion.

I'm wondering

if we can come up with other ideas.

There is no other way.

T-This...

The lives of the people in Yuzhou City and a live of a woman,

which one is more important?

Young Marquis, you...

You should think about it.

I shouldn't...

I shouldn't have left her there alone.

None of you are worried about her safety.

Young Marquis.

Listen to General Shi.

Do it at the wedding.

If Mai were here,

she would want to take down Yuzhou City with you.

As long as we move fast enough,

we can have both.

But...

We will finish this mission

as soon as possible.

Young Marquis.

I'll take your people.

Don't be impulsive.

I know what to do.

But I have to see Mai.

It’s good.

Also,

none of you

knows Mai is a girl.

Understand?

I swear to my life that I'll keep the secret!

I swear to my life that I'll keep the secret!

Mai.

See you at the backyard of the jewelry store in the east tomorrow.

What is General Chang trying to do?

To sleep.

Didn't you promise to marry me?

Today is not our wedding day.

It'll be the same sooner or later.

I thought you were special.

I didn't expect you to be a beast wearing clothes.

All men are beasts.

You're wrong.

Shang Yizhi is not.

Forget it.

General Chang, you should rest here.

I'll go out tonight.

I'm leaving.

Rest early.

[Invitation]

Where are you going?

Are you going to follow me everywhere?

Yes.

General ordered me to protect you.

Let's go.

Miss, what would you like?

Shopkeeper.

Show me everything that's suitable

for marriage.

Please wait a moment.

Miss, look.

Which one do you like?

This one is good.

Miss, are you okay?

I'm fine.

Shopkeeper.

I have a stomachache.

Do you have a toilet?

Yes.

There's a restoom for female guests in the back room.

I'll ask someone to take you there.

Thank you.

Do you want to go with me?

No.

I'll wait here.

Thank you.

Mai.

Did anything happen between you and Chang Yuqing?

What are you thinking?

He didn't do anything to me.

You can tell me the truth.

No matter what have happened,

I'm prepared to hear it.

Don't worry.

I will protect myself.

I'll make it short.

How is the preparation on the wedding day?

I will lead a team of guards

to disguise as vegetable deliveries

to sneak into the wedding and help you.

The vegetable delivery.

My lord.

My lord.

The restroom in the back is for female guests.

You can't go there.

I'll get someone to check it out.

Go.

I'll go there myself.

My lord,

we can't offend our guests.

Whether I can live

depends on whether you can move fast enough.

I gotta go.

Mai.

Trust me.

I'll be quick this time.

After we deliver this,

let's go to the kitchen.

Okay.

Marshal.

Shi Dachun may take action

on Chang Yuqing's wedding day.

Make arrangements.

Yes.

They have delivered all the wedding items.

Did you see it?

Yes, they are beautiful.

The schedule is a bit tight. I am sorry.

It is well prepared.

Brother, brother.

Brother.

I'll be right there.

Marshal,

please have a look.

Child-Giving Guanyin.

It fits the scene.

Let's go.

Yes.

[City Guard Mansion]

Deputy General Wang of Beimo gave a pair of tri-colored glazed child-giving pottery.

Congratulations, General Chang.

Thank you.

General.

Congratulations, General Chang.

Deputy General Xiao gave a Ruyi gold necklace.

Congratulations, General Chang.

Thank you.

Congratulations.

Congratulations, General Chang.

Thank you.

Come in, please.

Congratulations.

This way, please.

Is Shi Dachun not here yet?

His mansion is a while away from the City Guard Mansion.

He should be here soon.

Keep a close watch.

Don't worry, brother.

Marshal Chen gave a statue of white-jade Guanyin.

I didn't expect you to come in person.

It's such an honour.

General Chang is getting married.

How can I not come for your wedding?

Thank you.

I'll drink with you later.

Okay.

Everyone,

let's move to the main hall.

Yan.

Tell me the truth.

Why did Chang Yuqing

marry a Nanxia girl?

What is he up to?

Uncle,

my brother is getting married today.

He is up to nothing.

Don't try to gloss it over.

Will the Chang family agree?

My brother likes her.

He doesn't care about her identity.

It's not like the Chang family can stop him.

If you have any problem with my brother,

just ask him.

By the way, uncle,

don't call her Nanxia girl anymore.

That's my sister-in-law.

You...

It's the auspicious hour.

Not here yet?

No.

You can go in first.

Don't miss the auspicious hour.

Leave the outside to me.

It is the auspicious hour.

Great!

Great!

Bravo! Bravo!

One bow to heaven and earth.

Wait.

Everyone,

I have a favour to ask.

General Chang.

Today is your wedding day.

Go ahead.

Please excuse me.

This is my first wedding.

It's inappropriate that no one is sitting in the parents' seat.

My wife had a hard life.

Her parents died when she was young.

And my parents are far away in the capital.

So which general

would like to sit there

for us?

It's fine.

We fought on the battlefield together,

risked our lives,

we're already a family.

I am touched with

General Chang's sincerity.

But in terms of representing General Chang's parents,

the most suitable person

is Marshal Chen.

Please grant my wish.

Is this your idea

or hers?

This is our idea.

Okay.

I'll do my best.

Thank you, Marshal.

Great! Great!

One bow to heaven and earth.

Bravo! Bravo!

Then bow to your parents.

Bravo! Bravo!

Guards!

Catch the spy!

Stop!

Do not try to provoke me

or I'll hurt your marshal.

If you want to live,

don't move.

Do you think I came alone?

Don't move.

Don't move.

Let's go.

General Chang.

It's time for your show to end.

It's time to end it.

Drop your weapons.

Marshal,

your troops have been destroyed by us.

I'll take over the mansion.

Don't worry, Marshal.

Have you had enough fun?

Brother, everything is done outside.

You're ready for it.

You beat me so many times.

It's time for me to win.

Archers and guards are ready.

Just in case.

Chang Yuqing.

You colluded with the spies to kidnap the marshal.

Go out and think about

how to report to the court.

About the Nanxia spy assassinating the marshal,

If you don't think it through,

the number of casualties today will only increase.

Take him away.

Go!

This is outrageous!

Go!

I won't let you go.

Let’s go.

Mai, start asking.

What do you want to ask?

Those people who killed my parents with you.

Who are they?

You'd better not know.

You are going to die and you're still denying.

Back then,

it is the Xuanwu Army of Shengdu

went to Duke Shengguo's house with me.

You mean

the one who killed my parents with you

is someone in the imperial court?

Who is the mastermind?

Tell me.

Even if you know it, it will only make you suffer.

Hatred is bad for you.

I hope you can let it go.

Mai.

It’s useless to kill him.

I promise you,

if you hand him over,

I'll let you take his live

whenever you want.

Guards!

Yes.

Tie him to the pillar of the corridor behind the house.

Yes.

Brother, brother.

Shi Dachun hasn't shown up.

Let’s not wait. Just take it.

How do we explain to the court?

The spy sneaked into the city.

We have someone takes the blame.

No.

Do you want me to hand over your sister-in-law?

It's just an excuse

and we can change it later.

You really think I'll hand over my sister-in-law?

Go.

Yes.

What are you doing?

We're halfway through the wedding.

We need to finish what we started.

I never wanted to marry you.

I know.

But I'm serious.

Brother,

there are many soldiers from the Zhenbei Army outside.

We are surrounded.

Go get my spear.

I'll be right there.

Brother.

Go.

What happened?

How’s the preparation on the wedding day?

Uncle Shi said

there is an ancient secret tunnel in Yuzhou City.

It was designed by the city guard

as a way of escape.

As long as we send someone to chisel open the entrance,

our army can go straight to the City Guard Mansion.

Then we can defeat them from inside out

and retake Yuzhou.

I didn't expect to lose to you again.

Have you ever fallen in love with me?

Never.

Fine.

Since you have no feelings for me,

we are enemies, not friends.

Kill me

to prove what you said.

I have no time to joke with you.

This is my dagger.

Don't worry.

I won't force you to stay.

After we part ways,

the next time we see each other will be on the battlefield.

Don't I deserve to drink a glass of wine with you?

Okay.

I drink a toast to you for helping me catch Chen Qi.

Here's to you.

After drinking this,

you don't owe me anything anymore.

[City Guard Mansion]

Search!

Stop!

I’ll shoot if you keep running.

Calm down, Marshal Shang.

Why don’t we sit down and talk?

There's nothing to talk about between us.

Surrender.
