All right, victor, everyone's Starting to get into reef tanks,

And what happens is The tank

With the great lighting And food,

Then you put The right chemicals in --

Everything starts Growing like crazy.

You see the hammer corals? -right.

See how They're overgrowing?

-yeah. -all right.

We're doing this thing That's called "Fragging."

Okay.

So, we're gonna pull one Of these corals out, cut them,

And then you plant it and it Grows, you replant it, it grows.

Corals are actually Living organisms.

They're animals.

They got to be taken care of, They got to eat.

Fragging is a very Sustainable practice.

It helps conserve Our oceans reefs,

And that's very important to us.

But before we do, There's so many corals

Out there That could sting you...

-all right. -...So get your gloves on.

You see this hammer here? Now, watch when I touch it.

It's gonna actually curl up And go inside.

You see how it just Slowly curled up?

Oh, wow! It just shrunk right up.

It's shrinking.

Now, this was fully bloomed Just like this one.

Right.

Okay, so what I'm gonna do is Put some water in here, right...

-okay. -...Take this coral --

When it shrinks up like that, That's actually really good.

You can actually see where to Cut it and where not to cut it.

You have a hard part Of the coral,

And then you have the tissue. -soft part.

-that's the soft part. -okay.

You never want to cut The soft part.

All right.

That's really bad, And it hurts the animal.

So I can cut it here, Cut it there,

But you never want To cut it up there.

Okay, turn that off.

Okay, now you got Two beautiful pieces.

This is A two-part epoxy putty.

It's adhesive That's safe for the coral.

Grab a pinch of this.

You get your little pod In here, okay?

This is called A fragging plug.

This is gonna be The base for the new coral.

So it'll just Adhere to it?

Correct. Take some putty.

Right.

Place it on there -- Get it on there real good.

Now, you're putting the coral Piece on here just like this.

Now you take this piece, You place it inside your tank.

You find a nice little spot On the top, maybe, like, there,

And it's gonna Start blooming.

It's pretty cool.

-yeah, it is. -it was easy.

We'll cut some more pieces On the other ones --

-yo! -what's up, bro?

-what, are you guys fragging? -fragging, baby.

First tank was The shark tank...

...Second tank Was an octopus tank.

Who knows what the next one Is gonna be.

We're about to find out.

Tracy recently purchased A new home,

And he wants us to build The biggest aquarium yet.

What inspired you To go so big?

I was in atlanta Filming a movie,

And I went to the atlanta -- The aquarium there...

-right. -...And I see -- The whale sharks...

-uh-huh. -...And that's What inspired this.

What kind of sharks?

Three grey reefs,

I got a leopard, And I got several others.

So you're saying right now I'm in the tank?

You're in the tank.

Brett, You're outside the tank.

Now you're in the tank. -now you're in the tank.

Yeah, we got to figure out The foundation,

We got to make sure It's okay for the animals,

Temperature control, Get an acrylic panel

That we know it's gonna fit, Then we waterproof,

And then we got to come in With coral structure,

Then we got to come in With lighting,

Then we got to come in with The whole back for the filters,

And then we got to come in With the animals,

Then you got some sun coming in, You got snow up here,

The ambient temperature.

We got to temperature control This tank

To make sure That animal's happy.

You know how I feel About animals getting hurt,

So don't play that, man.

Neither do we, So we want to make sure

That it's all Temperature control.

So there's a lot That goes into this,

So you got to give us A little time.

You know it's gonna Take us months, right?

Well, my friend moe, He has them in his shop.

He's asking us to transform His rundown pool house

Into a massive tank For his sharks.

Tracy has some big dreams,

And atm is gonna Make them come true.

Brett: sharks can't live In a tank with corners,

So we'll build The biggest possible

Oval we can inside the main Room of this building.

Because it would only be Visible from the front,

We'll build this structure Out of rebar and concrete.

Large coral inserts will make The shark feel right at home,

And a 10-foot-tall, 20-foot-long aquarium

Will allow tracy And his family

To get up close and personal With his favorite animals.

But in order to make room For the tank,

We got to do A little remodeling.

-it's a 1969. -that's the year I was born.

That is very cool.

And this a 1969, So it's almost 50 years old.

I love saltwater fish.

We'll definitely find Some beautiful fish from hawaii

And the rest Of the pacific.

I think it's gonna be An amazing project.

Steve: all right, so one Of the things that we do want,

Brett, is this is a vintage, One-of-a-kind piece.

We do want to keep it seamless.

We don't want any cables Or anything

Really poking Out of this thing.

We want to keep it's integrity The way it is

And make it as flush And seamless as possible.

Obviously with it being that Vintage, we want to make sure

That we keep it As original as possible, so --

I mean, we definitely Could do it.

I just don't know Howwe're gonna do it.

Once we bring it back, It's going right here.

Once again, this vintage van Will be brought back to life,

But this time, It'll be sealife.

We'll remove everything on the Inside and replace it

A three-foot-high stand topped With a two-foot-tall tank.

To make the 35 fish feel Comfortable in their new home,

We'll add plenty of coral where They can feed, hide, and play.

We'll insert a fish-safe Steering wheel,

Add tires on the outside, A fresh coat of paint,

And that's our plan For the van.

Building such a cool tank Is really exciting.

I didn't want to waste any time Picking out fish for this one.

Yeah, we're gonna actually tank The 1969 360 van.

I got some good ideas For that.

This is a masked Swallowtail angel,

And I think It'd be perfect because --

Well, it's a rarer van

That you guys are Making into this tank, right?

Well, That's a rare fish.

Why is this fish so rare?

It's just a little deeper water, And so they don't go down

Collecting that deep, You know, frequently,

So far less of those Are in the aquarium trade.

Oh, okay.

They look great in the tank, Get about six inches.

They are fantastic For community tanks.

You put in a male, Two or three females,

You're gonna have A wonderful representation.

I like it.

Yeah, I think That's a good choice.

Let's see What else you have.

This is a potter's angel.

For being a hawaiian fish, You can't get much better.

Agnes: hey, that's perfect Because burton said

He wanted Something from hawaii.

He loves it.

With all the different Purples and blue,

And then that bright orange -- What a contrast, huh?

-it is beautiful. -yeah.

And I like the fact that It's called the potter's angel.

It reminds me of potholes In the street back in new york.

Check this out. You see that upper lip?

He's got a little bit of teeth Right along that upper lip --

So he does some scraping Along the rocks,

And he's another one That helps keep the tank clean

By cleaning off the algae On the rocks.

I think this guy Is definitely gonna be

A focal point Of the tank.

A rock beauty.

These guys are cruising Over all the rocks in the reef,

Checking out -- Looking for little crustaceans

And grabbing all kinds Of little bits.

I love this fish.

I love the fact that it looks Like it's wearing lipstick.

He's called Holacanthus tricolor,

And it's because the black, The gold, and blue.

Agnes: those colors are Super vibrant, though.

Will they -- They'll stay that way?

Yeah.

You can find these guys all over In the caribbean area.

They're super, super hardy And get along with everybody.

That's gonna look Really nice in the van.

And it's nice-sized, too.

Oh, hey.

The hardwicke rock wrasse.

Oh, look at that guy.

They're really neat.

They get about Six, seven inches,

And fantastic color On these guys.

This one's a young one.

So the larger it gets, The better it gets.

These guys cruise over and in And out of all the rocks,

Checking everything out.

Can we put more Than one in there?

Oh, yeah.

We can put a good half dozen In that size tank.

-oh, wow. -oh!

They'll be cruising For sure, huh?

So, what do these guys eat?

All kinds of crustaceans And little goodies

That they find In the nooks and crannies.

Bag them up And ship them out to vegas.

Heather: clown fish are known To have parasites,

So sometimes what you do is You give them a freshwater dip.

The most important thing Is to keep your fish happy,

Healthy, and well-fed.

And clown fish Are known to have parasites,

And one of the parasites

They're known for Is called brooklynella.

It's a parasite That eats dead skin,

And it's just not healthy For the fish.

So sometimes what you do is you Give them a freshwater dip,

And what that does is All of the parasites

That the fish would have On them come off.

Wait, but these Are saltwater fish.

Correct.

So what you do is you Take the fish,

And you put it in freshwater Just for, like, two minutes.

You don't want to take a chance Of putting a new fish

In an already Established tank.

Right.

If that has some Sort of disease,

We could put it in And it can kill the whole tank.

All right, So let's do this dip.

All right. You got to wait.

It's not that easy.

I'm testing The ph levels now.

Okay.

So, the ph level from that Water to this water match,

So that's good.

And now we have to just Make sure

That the temperature Is relatively the same.

78 there.

76 here.

That's close enough. -2 is okay.

So, now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take it

And put it In this bucket.

-right. -can you put it in?

Yeah.

Try and get as little water As possible.

I know.

There we go. How's that?

-that's good. -put him in here?

-now put them in there. -all right, little guy.

And this stresses them Out less than using,

Like, a net or something.

So, now we have to Time it.

We're just about At two minutes.

These bad boys of the ocean Require a lot of space,

The windshield on this tank Is the most difficult piece.

It's a compound bow,

And what that means Is you have a bend one way,

And on that same bend you have A bend going the other way.

It's two bends In different directions.

It's very difficult To mold and shape.

This should look good.

There's two of them, And we have the coral inserts.

The coral inserts Are really big.

There's no way They're gonna go over the top.

They have to Go into the window first.

And we're gonna have to Slide it in very carefully.

It's gonna have to Go through the opening,

Because there is A roof on this.

But we got rough terrain Out here.

We're gonna have to Build all this up.

We got a big crane, We got a forklift.

Even under perfect weather, This is a difficult job.

But mainly They'll roll around solo

Just because They're so shy.

What's next?

The yellow longnose Butterfly.

Look at his nose, Look at his beak.

They use that long beak To really get

Into the crevices To find food.

And what's cool is they're found In the indo-pacific,

And they're the first Hawaiian fish

To receive A scientific name.

All right, last but not Least this guy --

The sixbar angel.

He's found in The great barrier reef,

And what's cool About these guys

Is they can change genders From male to female.

So when the male role Is needed,

The female will just change And become that role.

Also, once they pair up, They stay together for life.

He's a beauty.

When you first came to us,

You guys wanted to take A vintage van

An turn it into an aquarium -- This is what we came up with.

So, you have something here That's 8 feet long,

3½ foot wide, A 2½ foot tall, 350 gallons.

It looks Absolutely amazing.

This really wasn't An easy build.

We actually had to Take apart the entire car

And actually rebuild it From scratch.

If you notice the windshield, We actually curved the aquarium

And it looks like A real windshield.

We wanted to keep everything As authentic as possible,

So we made A coral dashboard --

Also a steering wheel That is fish-safe.

And we also wanted to add The iconic vegas sign.

We put the "Vegas strong" On the other side.

You know, I knew You guys could do it,

And you guys nailed it.

Also, too, is working lights In the front and the back.

-oh, my goodness. -uh-huh.

I absolutely love it.

It's amazing. It is amazing.

Inside you have Over 30 fish.

One of my favorite, Porcupine puffer --

They like to eat coral.

Crabs, crustaceans.

It actually require certain food To keep their teeth sharp,

So you want to feed them Small crabs, clams,

Anything with hard shells.

But the cool thing About this fish is

It's gonna have A lot of personality.

When it looks at you, it just Smiles with those big old teeth.

People are gonna come up To it, and it's got you.

It's gonna become Your friend.

The next one -- The humu humu trigger.

What -- How do you say it?

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

-can you say it? -humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

There you go!

It's the hawaiian State fish.

This fish requires a lot of room To swim and hide

And actually uses its spine to Wedge into rocks when it sleeps.

I lived in hawaii for 20 years, So every day

I'm gonna look at that And think of home.

Then you have The orange-spotted tusk fish,

And that one is known to be

One of the smartest fish For using tools.

So it can actually take a clam,

Throw it against a rock To open it,

And it can also spit jets Of water

Into the sand to look for food, Which is pretty cool.

-wow! Yeah! -it is pretty cool.

It's just amazing How it's turned out,

We have these large Coral inserts,

And those coral inserts Are gonna have

To go into the tank first,

Then the acrylic panel's Gonna go in.

You got to do it right and not Make a mess or damage anything.

All right, guys, let's move The corals up the driveway.

You're bottoming out.

He's completely off the ground On the second set

Of wheels right now.

Right now we have an issue.

This truck cannot get up The driveway.

We got a lot of coral on here, We've got acrylic panel,

And we got a big wedge Right here.

So we have probably about seven

Or eight forklift loads To get up there,

And then the crane Has to get in the back,

So it's double the work And we got to do this right now.

It's hooking.

Right now, it's definitely One of the tougher jobs

We've done in a while.

It's cold, it's rainy, And it's getting dark.

Getting these inserts to the top Of the driveway

Is only half the challenge.

Now we have to crane them Into the backyard.

To get it up top For that crane to lift it.
