The best part about it though,

It is so neat.

And when you walk in, there's
A spot that is perfect.

Since we're purifying
And making clean water,

I felt like it was kind of only

Blue cichlids.

The blue
Kind of represents,

Like, the water
And pureness.

Wayde loves blue.

To hide and feel at home.

These are new to the market.
These are glofish sharks.

They're actually members
Of the minnow family.

These guys actually won't get
Any bigger than 5 inches.

Okay.

So you'll be able to put a lot
Of these guys in your tank.

So, these guys only swim
On the bottom?

Yes.

And what do they do?
They're gonna eat the algae?

They're gonna eat all the algae,
Any kind of extra food

That's gonna be left
In the tank.

Okay, cool.

So they're gonna be
Like cleaners, okay?

-and then, what are these guys?

Oh. Those are
The glofish, okay?

-yeah, they swim up at the top.

It's called the danio, right?

Yeah, it is.

How do they get
Their color?

The original fish were injected
With genes from coral.

These guys
Now don't have to be.

Their colors are actually
Inherited now.

That's amazing.

That'll be perfect
In the garden.

From shell rot

In our pond at the shop.

So we've been
Keeping her dry

And trying to get her back
In good shape.

-she's warm. For sure.
-yeah, she's warm.

Look, we're taking care
Of the turtle.

Now that the shell
Is drying up, look.

You can see more abrasions
On it.

You want to make sure
A few things.

You want to check temperature,
Which, actually, she is warmer.

You can feel that.
That's good.

Oh, yeah.
She is warmer.

You want to check the shell out
And make sure, like,

It's not soft
In certain areas.

Sometimes you see, like,
Some other rotting right here.

You want to peel
Some of that off.

'cause what that does...
-eugh!

That's not hurting her?

What happens is, bacteria
And water forms in here,

And it actually starts
To rot into the shell.

And then it becomes weaker,

And that's stunting
The turtle's defense.

Right.

What you want to do
Is clean her up.

But you want to clean up
All these areas

The best that you could.

And once they're all cleaned up,
Like this,

Then you get
Your toothbrush,

Which works great.

Now, you don't want it
Too hot or too cold.

You want to get it on there
And clean those areas.

-so, she's being detailed.
-pretty much.

It's just like when you get
A little cut,

You know,
You put peroxide on it.

-mm-hmm.
-this is the same thing.

You just put the ointment
Right on it.

You're trapping bacteria
Under here,

And that causes a problem.

Once we clean the areas
Around the cuts and abrasions,

Then it's time
To apply the medicine.

Turtle fix.

It smells like a spa.

-is it natural?
-yes.

It's tea-tree extract.

We're gonna pour
On an angle

A little bit
Right onto the cut,

So we're filling
The whole bottom of the shell,

All the way around.

But if you do it,
It saturates the shell.

It's actually fighting all
The bacteria that's in there.

But you don't want to
Oversaturate the turtle

With the medicine,
So you want to use a damp cloth

To wipe up the excess medicine
After you apply it.

So, listen. Let's rinse her off
A little bit,

Clean it up,
Keep an eye on her,

And when you see some of
The blemishes that are there,

Get a little bit
More medicine on there.

Get her some vegetables.
And keep the heat lamp on her.

Watch her.

Make sure the light
Is not too close

Or she can burn herself.

Agnes: all right.

They're not just blue.

If you actually look closely
At them,

They do
Strike other colors.

So, as they mature
And get older,

The males will get
A deeper blue color on top

And they get, like,
This golden orange color,

Sunkissed almost,
On the bottom edge.

Ah.
I love sunkissed.

That is gonna look so amazing.

They do get maybe about
An inch and a half larger

Than what you see here,
And the good thing is,

Is that because
They don't get super big,

You can keep a bunch
Of them together.

We don't
Normally do tanks

Where we only have
One type of fish.

Well, you chose a good one
Type of fish to go with.

Yeah. And wayde's gonna be
Super happy,

Which is the most important
Part here.

Where do these cichlids
Come from?

Well, they originated
From africa.

They're malawi cichlids.

They're malawi cichlids,
Okay.

But these guys here
Were actually bred overseas.

What do they like
To munch on?

They do fine with pellet.

Or you can do,
Like, frozen worms.

And cichlids are more
Of an aggressive fish?

It is.

And, I mean, they're
Not totally aggressive

Towards each other.

They get angry.

If they don't eat, they'll
Find themself a little meal.

So a little like wayde.

Are middle swimmers,

So they're gonna be
Throughout the tank.

Oh, they look good.

They go so nice with that blue
And the blue light.

And these are great
For beginners,

'cause they're
Super hardy fish.

Now we got the females.

A little bit smaller
And darker.

The males like to peacock.
That's why they're brighter.

Of course.

And you know what's also cool
About these?

They're mouth brooders,
Which means they hatch

Their eggs in their mouth.

Isn't that crazy?

Wow, these guys
Are much smaller.

-yeah.
-they're pretty peaceful.

But they can be aggressive
Towards other species,

So that's why
We're doing cichlids only.

We made the overflow

So the water is great,
The fish are very happy.

I wanted to go fresh water

Because king
Water filtration system

Gives pure alkaline water,

So what better way to represent
That than fresh water?

And we did blue
African cichlids,

Because I know
It's one of your favorites.

And the blue helps represent
The water.

They can be aggressive
With other species.

And they're from lake malawi
In africa.

We created for you.

It's everything we wanted.

The tank is 72 around,
30 inches tall.

It's 350 gallons.

Wow.

You got custom
L.E.D. Lighting

That can change
For the holiday lights.

You got red, green, and blue.

Wow.

So, one of the things
That we did is,

We replicated some of the cactus
That were in the garden,

In the actual aquarium.

For the overflow,
We did one giant cactus.

Inside,
We made little cacti.

And since you have
So many lights

On the cactus
In the garden,

We added lights
To the mini ones as well.

They look so real.

Also, too, is we made you guys
A box of chocolates,

Which are made out
Of acrylic,

So you won't have any problems
With those inside the water.

-they're not real?
-no, they're not real.

Tell us about these fish.

They're amazing.

Inside, you have over
400 glofish.

These guys, they're called
Glofish sharks --

The newest
To the glofish brand.

Only been in existence
For the last couple of months.

We have fish
Called danios.

Those are
The original glofish.

We had green tiger barbs
And red tiger barbs.

The tiger barbs...
The females lay the eggs,

And the males follow
Behind them, fertilizing them.

And then the tetras
Swim in schools.

And it's always good
To have more than six,

Which you guys
Definitely have.

We wanted that fish
All throughout the aquarium.

So, the sharks, they're actually
Gonna swim on the bottom.

The tetras are gonna swim
Pretty much in the middle.

You have the danios, which
Are gonna swim up at the top.

Amazing.

Of the filtration system inside,

It's a refreshing addition
To wayde's new office.
