The thicker it has to be.

A coral insert in it.

Is bullet proof. Yeah.

Bullet proof, but the larger
Question is it puck proof?

If it can withstand a bullet

I think it could
Withstand a slap shot.

So, first of all,
It's called a rink.

They usually use poly-carb.

It's different than acrylic.
It's a lot stronger,

So it's usually thinner
Than you would have to use.

This is acrylic.

Are getting a 16 foot long,
Hockey rink shaped aquarium.

We'll fill their tank
With 1,900 gallons

Of salt water
And hockey themed props,

Including their
Signature shark head.

We'll add in vibrant
Coral inserts,

And then top it off
With a team of fish and sharks.

And one we complete the tank
With a sleek, metallic facade,

This aquarium
Will be cool as ice.

We hit the ground running
Because hockey season

Is right around the corner,
Starting with the acrylic.

You know we have to incorporate
All this in the tank,

That's what
They said, right?

Yeah.
All right. So we got pucks.

What is this made
Out of, rubber?

Rubber.
Rubber could be bad.

It could leech out.
It can kill the fish.

This could be a problem.
It could.

Leeching out is when water
Passes through an object

And causes it to erode.

It can release toxins into

A tank that could be
Deadly to the fish,

So before putting
Anything into a tank

You want to make sure
It's fish safe.

So I think what
We should do is, probably,

Make this out of black acrylic.

Do we agree?
I agree.

So can you get all this texture

And everything on there
And make it look real?

I can make it look real.
Next thing.

Let's look at this helmet.
What's that made out of?

Plastic. Metal.
Plastic. Fiberglass.

It's got
Other rubber in here.

We're not sure what
That could leech out.

Pull it out.
I'm sure it has glue in here.

That could be bad.

We don't want any of the glue
Contaminating the tank.

We got metal, that's not good.
Metal screws. Metal face mask.

Metal, no. Fiberglass, no.

Glue, no. And rubber, no.

And you promised we would put
This exact helmet in the tank.

No. I promised you would.

I only think it's going to look
Real if we put this on there.

Can you make this?

I can probably make the mask
Out of some acrylic rods.

I'll figure it out.
We're gonna make two of these.

We're going to
Put one on one side

Of the overflow,
It's a racetrack.

One on the other side,
Like, here.

And then the shark
Head in the middle.

That big shark head?

They want us to, actually,
Make it on one side of the tank

That you see it,
And then on the other side.

But I'll take care
Of that with denny.

Don't worry about that.
So now we have the sticks.

All hockey sticks
Are out of wood?

No. Some are out of fiberglass.

Fiberglass is no good.

I'm going to make
These out of acrylic.

It's a little bit more work,
But I can handle it.

We got to go in there
And, probably,

Saw cut the cement to waterproof
It first, then set the panel.

What about the top of the panel?

Is very difficult.

We need to mark it exactly

And make two clean
Cuts on each side.

Then we'll use
The forklift to raise

And lower the tank
While we're cutting it.

If the blade goes off track
It can ruin the whole tank.

While the saw cuts the acrylic.

If the saw gets jammed
It can crack the tank.

Fish-shaped teeth out of epoxy.

Is a red tang.

This is a thompson tang.

Thompson tang?
Yes.

It doesn't look like you're
Average tang, is that right?

Like, it's not
The same shape.

The body shape is different.
The colors are different.

Got a blueish gray color

With a little bit
Of metallic touch to it.

It's got a lyretail,
So you see it's like a "C."

It's a crescent-shaped
Tail that they have.

This fish, actually, in the wild
You can find it everywhere.

It's from the east africa
All the way to hawaii,

So it's got a big spread.

It's just that we don't get it
For the aquariums that often.

So being that this tang is
A unique shape for a tang,

And tangs are known
As surgeon fish,

Do they have, like,
The little scalpel?

Yeah. Just like any other tang,

The thompson tang
Does have a scalpel

In the back
Near the tail, as well.

It's a small, little knife that
They take it out, flair it out,

Whenever they want to
Show their dominance.

Not that much because
It's a friendly tang,

They like to stay together, but
Once in a while they'll do that.

It reminds me of the blade
On the hockey skates.

Right?
That's true. Yeah.

I love it.
Yeah.

I think it will fit
Great within their tank.

What else do we have
To go with this beauty?

The harlequin tusk.

It's a fantastic fish.
It's one of my favorites.

It's from the wrasse family.

Got those red, bright red, eyes.

They look very intimidating.

If you look at it, it's got
These red eyes and big fangs,

Teeth, that you can see from
Outside, but very docile fish.

Where do they come from?

They come from two different
Parts of the world.

There's the one variety
That comes from indonesia.

There's another variety
That comes from australia.

The colors vary, that's how you
Know which one is from where.

Wow. Well, what's
The difference?

The australian ones will have
A little bit more red to it,

A little bit more blue to it,

And the indonesian variety

Are the ones that we are
Seeing, right here.

It's got more...

The white doesn't have
The blue background, like,

The borders to it.
It's very subtle difference.

I like it.

You can't have a shark tank
Without a shark,

So we have the horn shark.

Oh, wow.
I love the horn sharks.

They're so cute.
They're a cold water species.

These sharks have
A blunt face, bony head,

And they have
These little ridges

That run
Around their head.

That's why they get the name.

Are these super aggressive?

They are very, very peaceful
Bottom-dwelling sharks,

And they don't even
Get that big.

They get about a foot long,
Or maybe a little bit more.

What do they eat?
Crustaceans, sea urchins.

Oh, that's the interesting
Thing about them,

That when they eat
Sea urchins,

They get blue teeth
Because of that.

So that's one thing
About these sharks.

Why do they get blue teeth?

The urchin's blood.

That's interesting.

Well, what we did is
We actually took real teeth

And measured it up,

And we casted it to fit
In there to make it soft,

So when the fish

They won't get cut.

We didn't have
To hurt the fish,

So we had to custom make
Those teeth from real teeth.

That's amazing.

Very creative.

One of the most important
Things, obviously,

Is the sharks, obviously,
You guys, being the sharks.

So inside here you have
Multiple species of sharks,

One of them being
A banded cat shark.

These guys are
Night dwellers.

They're going to
Come out at night.

They're also very
Sensitive to light,

So at night time when the
Lights actually come down,

That's when these
Guys can come out.

You also have
A horned shark in there,

And in the wild these guys,
What they're famous for,

Is catching their
Prey in low tides,

Not like you, eating sandwiches
Up in the concessions.

I know you.

In low tides, basically what
Happens is these sharks go out,

They catch crustaceans
In the low tides.

Sometimes they get caught,

But they actually use
Their fins to walk.

So they can actually walk back
On the sand into the ocean.

I see. Yeah.

Also, in here you have
Something called a mimic tang,

And these guys are
In the surgeon family,

And the reason they call them
In the surgeon family

Is because they actually have
These little things in the back

That look like scalpels,

And they use them
For protection.

Like the hip check.

Now all these fish can
Coexist in the same tank?

All can coexist
In the same tank.

And, last but not least,

Is a fish that everybody
Says it's hard to find.

It's called a unicorn tang.

Everybody is looking
For the unicorn.

And you found one?
I found one.

So we have a fish in there,
It actually grows a horn about,

I would say, an inch
Or two out of its head.

You can see it right there.
Oh, wow. That's pretty cool.
