And has tons of activities.

As the director of fun,

Teri has been dreaming about
Creating a play wonderland

For the kids at the resort.

She wants the tank
To be interactive

And to be a centerpiece
Of the camp.

So, come in right here.

Sorry it's a construction zone
Right now.

It's pretty much
A multi-purpose room,

So this side will have
Our craft tables,

And this side, we're gonna put
A bouldering wall.

So it's gonna be kind of
An interactive, more play space

For the kids to kind of get
Some energy out.

Between these two columns
Is what we were thinking.

Wayde: yeah, those columns
Are definitely structural,

So they'll have to stay.

Brett: I think the tank
Definitely needs to be viewed

From both sides.

Fresh. Freshwater.

Freshwater has a very natural,
Loggy, wooded type décor.

Chris: we're surrounded
By beautiful oak trees.

So that's kind of
What we're thinking.

And make them look like trees

Brett: yeah, we could do

For a real immersion experience.

On the exterior,

We'll wrap the tank
To look like a mighty oak,

Really setting this tree apart
From any forest.

They used to eat their guests.

We want them to be spooked,
Not give them an anatomy lesson.

Is a scary showcase
That the dead can really dig.

We'll create the viewing window
For a watery grave

By constructing an acrylic tank
Along the perimeter

That'll house creepy remains,
Freakish fish,

And even a zombie surprise.

By providing
Behind-the-scenes access

To the interior of the coffin,

Pranksters can lay down and
Give the visitors impressions

That they are really sleeping
With the fishes.

And by incorporating
An authentic pine coffin,

You can open the lid to really
Give your friends a fright.

This coffin tank
May be fit for dracula,

But definitely won't suck.

The tank for camp ojai

Will have a tunnel
Going right through the stand

Exactly where our plumbing
And pumps will go.

Gist decor
Already started the facade.

I wanted to meet with them and
My plumbing specialist, aaron,

Before they completed
The tunnel,

To make sure we can manage
This tricky design.

We're gonna have to put
The chiller, the uv, the pump,

The mechanical chemical,
All the cartridges.

We hit a snag.

Of our stand.

Our plumbing and pipes go.

So what we're gonna have to do
Is separate it.

We're gonna have to suck

From the bottom

And return to that side.

So we're gonna need a pipe

I took a piece of pvc.

Took it to your table saw,
Split it up in different ways.

So this was pvc tube?
Yeah.

Took a heat gun, heated it up,
Twisted it, bent it.

It gives us some strength to
Our structure for the branches.

Dude, that looks like
A real branch.

That was a good ingenuity day.
I like that.

So you guys actually
Even took some rope

To give it
A little texture in here.

Yeah.
That was a good idea.

Each tree will be
Half in the tank

And half out of the tank.

For us to finish in time,

Will be doing the external.

We'll be doing the internal.

Told us the carver

Already had everything measured
And carved out of foam.

But we have just enough time

To make sure these inserts
Look like they came

From the same tree
In the forest.

So this is foam.

So this thing
Is light as can be.

It's got a urethane coating
That we're putting over the top

To create
Like a candy shell.

So basically,
Encapsulating the foam

And then giving it
A real hard texture.

And then from here,
We're gonna start

Our two or three colors
Of painting on there.

Still a little sticky.
'cause it's still drying.

We got some pieces over here
That are a little bit drier.

Yeah,
It looks really good.

To duplicate
This texture back at atm,

I need to make a mold
Of part of this tree.

It's called making a skin.

What we're gonna do --
Smooth-on makes a product here.

We brush this on.

We can apply a little bit of
Heat if that's okay with you.

Yeah, a little bit of heat's
All right.

Then we'll pull that skin
Right back off.

So it'd be like a rubber mat,
I think.

Like a rubber mat?
Yep. Yep.

We always use a release

To ensure that it comes off
Easy enough.

So release is kind of like
Non-stick spray butter.

Same thing.
All right.

We'll make sure
We get it worked down

Into all
The little crevices.

Apply some heat, brandon.

[ whirring ]

Let's see if this thing's
Kicking off yet.

Oh, dude, look at that.

Look at the striations.

These guys have been bred
For centuries in china.

The fish with the eyes
Looking up became really popular

Because it'd be like
They're staring right at you.

They look like
They got scared already

With their eyes
The way they are.

Is a 500-gallon tank

For a kids camp
In ojai, california.

This has a dome that kids can
Actually pop their head up into,

So I was thinking maybe
Some african cichlids.

It'd be really cool.

They're interactive, colorful --
That sounds great.

Are you gonna put all cichlids
In this tank?

Yeah, well, cichlids do well
With other cichlids,

But we're doing
Different kinds of cichlids --

Peacocks,
They've got zebras.

These cichlids,
They all come from lake malawi

And they have
The most amazing colors.

So they're as close to saltwater
Fish as you can get.

The cichlids are great
In a big tank like that

Because they like to be
Crowded together.

It's really perfect.

Figure out the lighting design

For our coffin tank.

If we never had a plan

If you hook the pulley system
Up to that pipe,

There's a good chance
That somebody could pull
That pipe down.

That's the whole water sprinkler
For the whole entire building.

We're installing the coffin tank

The coffin lid is too heavy

There's a good chance
That somebody could pull
That pipe down.

That's the whole water sprinkler
For the whole entire building.

You pull that pipe down,
And then we soak this building.

And just when we were

What'd you do to it?

Well, what I did is
I took a piece of acrylic rod,

Drilled a hole through the palm
And a hole out the bone,

And shoved that rod
Through there.

Then I drilled
A hole in the top

So we can run a screw through
From the inside of the canopy

To hold that rod
In place.

Beautiful.

Who knew redneck was such a pro
At dead body parts?

I think we all did,

But we're back in business,

And we can slide
The hand up.

Go ahead and drive it in.

With their final resting place

The coffin's ready for the fish.

Some amazing stuff.

We used the fake arms.

And those are props
That prop the coffin up.

And the zombie inside,
Is that gonna decompose?

No, no, that's waterproof.

Everything we make
Is fish-safe.

So you don't have to worry
About it decomposing.

So we got some really cool,
Scary fish.

Since you guys
Are halloweenmart,

We gave you
Some black moor goldfish

And we gave you some
Orange celestial goldfish.

Those are
Halloween colors.

Now, you see their eyes?
You see how they're bulged out?

Well, before they got here,
They weren't like that.

So once they came
Into your store,

They got so scared,
Their eyes bugged out.

We also got you some dragonfish,
Which are at the bottom.

The unique thing about them is
They could be in freshwater,

They could be in saltwater, or
They could be in brackish water,

Which is fresh and salt
Mixed.

They look very fierce, but
They're actually very harmless.

We have some
Black phantom tetras in there,

So we hope you enjoy it.

Is handmade.

This is actually a foam
That has a coating on it,

And the coating itself

The tree is one tree,

Not only inside the tank,
Outside the tank.

So one of the things
We like to do is

We like to theme our fish
Based upon our clients.

So one of the things here is
You guys have a camp.

You always have
A lot of kids gathering.

Well, these are
African cichlids,

And the cichlids
Do really well together.

They're all a camp
Right now.

I love it.
Loving it.

Also, they're very,
Very colorful.

They're one of the most colorful
Freshwater fish.

You guys have all the crayons,
The markers, the paints,

And everything
That goes on here in camp.

There's a variety
Of different ones in here.

There's sunshine peacocks.
