Is what you're talking about.

He's constantly looking at them
On the computer

And it's a great gift for wayde

Because he's always juggling
So many different projects,

It's like he has eight arms.

That will crawl, escape.

I have to make this thing

Now that we're back in town,

We got to get the general
And redneck up to speed

On the la jolla group's
Skateboard tank.

Brett: they brand
A lot of different companies,

And one of the companies
That they're branding

Is called o'neill,
And it's a surfing company.

They made
The first wet suit.

I bet you they didn't make
Extra extra extra extra large

Back in the day

They want to incorporate

Some of the surfing items
Into the aquarium.

A surfboard, okay?

Want to incorporate

Their new line
Of board shorts.

Put the shorts on a mannequin?

The mannequins.

I mean, we can't use
A whole mannequin.

There's a company --
Las vegas mannequins.
They're here in town.

An 8-foot-long,

4-foot-high,
800-gallon rectangle,

But with a j-shaped radius
On the front

So that the transition from
Ramp to acrylic is seamless.

The life-support system will
Be housed under the steel stand,

And then in the tank we'll place
A custom coral insert,

A few surf-themed props,
And, if possible,

Some life-sized mannequins
To display board shorts.

But the real test is engineering
A tank that can stand up to

The wear and tear
Of people skating on it.

What?

With them skateboarding
On the front of this,
Isn't it gonna scratch?

We'll figure it out.
Let's see how much
Force is going on it.

Since everyone is doubtful about
Skating on the 1 1/4" acrylic,

We're gonna test it out.

Is a standard piece of acrylic.

If I take the piece,
Throw it in the oven,

They also make softer wheels

Because the roads are usually

So we're using soft material
With the hard wheels.

If we get the soft wheels

Their extravagant dessert menu,

And they're looking for an
Aquarium just as over the top.

So, why do you want
A gumball machine aquarium?

We used to actually have
A gumball machine.

Is just a really cool thing

For people to take a look at
And, you know, play with.

So it's very engaging
For our guests.

And created a big mess.

We're still trying to figure out

The inner workings and
The design of the gumball tank.

But we know
One thing for sure --

The tank is gonna be
A 4-foot-wide sphere.

It doesn't
Look like fun.

Redneck, you got
A lot of work ahead of you.

The problem with this --
It's a little more tricky.

It's a vacuum form.

We're gonna have to actually
Put the sheet in between here,

And it's sucked in
To this shape.

And then we're gonnapeel it open?
There you go.

Once the mold is finished,
We're gonna put it in the oven,

And it's gonna bake
At 300 degrees for 11 hours.

Once it cools, we can check
To see if it formed correctly.

Of artificial gumballs?

The real gumballs?

Is that the gumballs --

It's gonna be outside.

It's gonna be
105-degree weather.

The gumballs are gonna melt
If they're in the base.

Since we have a chiller
Cooling the aquarium down,

The water's gonna be
Like 75 degrees.

So we want to take advantage
Of that water being cool.

So if we put a sleeve or
Something inside the aquarium,

We can actually
Keep the gumballs cool, too,

By using the water.

How many gumballs do you think
Are gonna go into,

You know, the sleeve
Or the container?

I love the way they think I know

How many gumballs
Are in this thing.

I just made that number up.

But I do have some other ideas.
Here's what I'm thinking.

We'll run a plastic cylinder
Through the center of the tank,

Which will house our plumbing
And gumballs and hide the pipes.

Then, in the bottom of the base,

We'll house a mechanism
That will feed the gumballs

From the cylinder
To paying customers,

As well as
Our filtration system.

All will be concealed
By a red fiberglass shell

To make it look real old-school.

We'll also need a chiller, but
This will go outside the base,

Because it needs to breathe.

So, over top of it,
We'll add a set of stairs

So kids can walk up
And see inside the tank.

It's wayde's birthday next week?
