[Marry Me, My Evil Lord]

[Episode 5 Meeting Enemies on Prince Jing's Birthday Banquet at His Residence]

Join the Investigation Bureau

and be my servant.

You...

You wish!

Sounds like you don't want to return the favor.

I definitely will!

When?

You have to make it clear today.

We'll talk about it later.

You must tell me now.

Or, I'll pester you 24 hours a day.

How can you talk like I did?

Do you have to be so aggressive?

He's abnormal, isn't he?

What do you think?

You're bullying me with your power!

I have no time to talk to you.

Let's wait and see.

Make way for me.

Take care.

My lord,

it's a great idea

to gain the initiative.

But...

What?

It's just a bit unfair to her.

My lord,

you weren't like this before.

Come here.

What was I like before?

Before...

Who encouraged you

to comment on me like this?

I'm sorry, my lord.

Please forgive me.

Go get 20 canings.

Your Excellency.

it's Prince Jing's birthday tomorrow.

There's an invitation sent from his residence.

Prince Jing celebrates his birthday for 7-8 times every year.

He just wants to gather his followers

to plot something shameful.

Would it be a trap this time

that he suddenly invited you?

Although the case of Consort Chen has been closed,

the real murderer hasn't been found yet.

Chen Bao was a servant of Prince Jing,

so Prince Jing was also involved.

Come with me to the banquet tomorrow.

It's a good time to find clues there.

Yes.

Mei Shiqi, you've done a great job in solving the case.

I hereby promote you

as the Commander of the Secret Guards Department.

If I become the commander,

what about Mr. Jiang?

Jiang Bieyan?

He'll be your deputy then.

He's not as capable as you anyway.

Mr. Jiang, do you have any objections?

[Emperor Yu]

Your Majesty is wise.

I'm sincerely convinced.

No objections.

Mei Shiqi.

I'm going to give you a big reward.

What else do you want?

Your Majesty,

I want to choose a good man to marry into our Mei family.

Tell me about your requirements.

My matrilocal husband

must be a unique man in the world.

He's low-key and kind.

He's knowledgeable and easy-going.

His warm eyes

can diminish the warm sun in winter.

His sweet smile

can make Yanguai honey worthless.

He is handsome

and well-educated.

He has a loving and caring heart.

Do you think anyone else

can meet your requirements other than me?

Then I'll be your matrilocal husband.

Your Majesty, it's inappropriate.

Why?

Mei Shiqi.

I've already fallen in love with you.

Since you also have feelings for me,

Long,

-Yes, Your Majesty. -get it done as soon as possible.

Yes.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Mr. Jiang,

no one

is against this marriage, right?

Yes.

Good.

I object.

It's not easy to get promoted

and marry the Emperor in my dreams.

What a bad ending!

Why am I holding a sword?

I fell asleep again?

Excuse me.

The Double Seventh Festival is around the corner.

There are so many couples.

Look at me.

I'm so beautiful,

smart and brave.

When will I find a matrilocal husband?

Dear Xue, just buy me one.

[Wanted]

Xue Dong?

Let's go now.

Hi, do you think I'm beautiful?

[Xue Dong, an infamous thief]

Yes, you're very pretty.

Are you seeing someone?

No, I am still available.

-Go away! -Dear Xue.

I'm coming!

Make way for me!

Mei Shiqi!

You are still an intern!

But you've been neglecting your duty and late for work.

Answer me.

Do you still respect me as your leader?

Master,

I've prepared a gift for you.

I'm sure you'll like it.

Can we keep a low profile?

Master, I can't keep a low profile about this.

Look.

Look.

Look.

Xue Dong!

That's right.

This is Xue Dong,

who has stolen from 13 merchants in Luoyang.

The Investigation Bureau

failed to catch him during these three years.

With my persistence,

I've been lurking from morning to night,

and being late for work and leaving early all the time.

Finally, I arrested him.

Mei Shiqi, aren't you...

Master,

you know me.

For the peace of the world

and the happiness of the people,

I can bear all the sufferings

and misunderstandings alone.

The spirit of Secret Guards will last forever.

Did you see that?

Did you all see that?

This is the spirit of the Secret Guards Department.

Of course, it's me who recognized your talent

and promoted you.

Master.

Yes?

Will you consider giving me a regular position?

I'll approve it.

Thank you, Master.

Let's get down to business.

His Majesty will attend

Prince Jing's birthday banquet.

Besides the Imperial Guards,

our Secret Guards Department must be on high alert

to protect His Majesty.

We must be cautious.

Do you understand?

Yes.

-Secret Guards of Mei Manor. -For world peace!

The spirit of the Secret Guards...

Will last forever!

All right, come here.

Wang Wu, you take charge of the front hall.

Yes.

Long Qi, you take charge of the back hall.

Okay.

Chen Shiyi, you're good at flying.

You're in charge of the roof area.

Yes.

Zhen Shisan.

Let's protect His Majesty closely.

Get ready, everyone.

What about me, Master?

Your present rank is low.

You'd better not join this time.

Why can't I go with you?

You are always careless.

If you alarm His Majesty,

all of us will be implicated.

But I want to protect His Majesty, too.

I'll be scared if I stay here alone at night.

Are you serious?

I'll be grateful

if you don't demolish our office.

I'll be scared.

Right, Shisan?

How about

letting her go with us?

Something bad may happen

if we leave her here alone.

That's right.

Okay, you can take care of this place.

Where is this? It looks a bit far from the front hall.

Will His Majesty go there?

No.

Then why did you let me guard there?

You can either guard there or stay here.

I'm not going there!

It's up to you.

Okay, it's a deal.

Let's go.

You must go.

I won't go.

So annoying.

Greetings, Mr. Leng.

It's my honor that

you are able to

attend my birthday banquet.

Happy birthday and have a long life, Your Highness.

I'm aged.

I'm just relying on His Majesty's blessings

and grace to live a peaceful life.

You are young and promising.

I feel relieved

that you can guard our nation.

Father.

Father, where is Lord Leng?

Xiu'er, stop messing around.

This is Chief Leng.

Mr. Leng, this is my daughter, Nangong Xiu'er.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Greetings, Moyan.

Xiu'er, since you came,

please take care of Mr. Leng on behalf of me.

What are you doing there?

Invite Moyan to take a seat.

Don't bother.

My nature calls.

It's been a long time, Mr. Liu.

Jianchuan.

Yes.

Accompany Her Highness.

My lord.

Moyan.

Is that so?

Yes.

You're right, Your Highness.

Enjoy the wine and treasures.

So elegant.

I'll be mad if you don't stop the camouflage.

Why are you sneaking here?

Come with me to see Prince Jing.

I need to go to the toilet.

Stop pretending.

The place you just came from is the toilet.

Come with me to see Prince Jing.

Moyan.

What are you doing here?

I...

Who are you?

Your Highness,

I'm Mei Shiqi from the Secret Guards Department.

Mei Shiqi?

Yes.

Who is she?

It doesn't matter.

She's just a junior secret guard

who has admired me for a long time.

Who has a crush on you?

Can you stop lying?

What do you mean?

Who was it on the street that day?

I was forced by...

You were attracted by my charm?

So you are that lady.

I advise you to think it over.

Don't have any improper feelings for Moyan.

Don't worry, Your Highness.

I have no improper feelings for him at all.

You have no idea, Your Highness.

He is actually...

My lord,

His Majesty is coming.

Be careful, Your Highness.

He's indeed the perfect prince charming in the hearts of thousands of girls.

Are you kidding me, Your Highness?

I was the first one to protect you.

Can't you see

the burning spirit of the Secret Guards?

Moyan.

Let's get out of here.

Poor princess.

Don't you know he's an eunuch?

Come on.

Your Excellencies.

Come on.

Uncle Jing.

Yes?

♫The wind blows away the dust♫

This song is quite beautiful.

Why haven't I listened to it before?

♫To write my love letter on a peach petal♫

Your Majesty, this is...

Your Majesty,

this song has vanished for many years.

I accidentally found it in a legacy book in the folks.

♫Flowers are as beautiful as colorful brocade, they only bloom for you♫

Emperor Xuanzong of Tang missed Consort Yang.

They could even visit the Moon Palace

in their dreams.

♫My love for you is beyond the words in letter♫

Unfortunately,

Consort Chen and I were separated forever by death.

♫The blue sea and sky are rare beauties in the world♫

I'm afraid

we'll never meet again.

♫It is the eden♫

♫This feeling will become a memory to be cherished♫

♫Each string, each stop, bears thought of vanished things♫

♫The love letter on the peach petal I gave you♫

♫And my love will never change♫

♫My pure love can stand the test of time♫

Ghost!
