Previously on Australian Survivor...
- Come on! - Go, Baden!
..11 Contenders...
That's why you're here!
..are going from strength...
Such a machine, guys!
..to strength.
Contenders win immunity!
Champions, we're coming for you.
Go.
A tribe of Champions...
..diminished by the day.
It's really hard for me, personally, tonight.
Yee-hoo-ee.
Hidden immunity idols...
This is, like, the dream.
..have been found...
"The idol can only be played by a Contender at their tribal council."
"This idol can only be played by a Champion."
..and faked.
I did the swap on the idol.
I don't think Shaun has any clue that his idol is fake.
Feels good.
Everybody... drop your buffs.
Tribe swap was good for some...
Absolutely chuffed that Pia, Abbey and myself,
we're all still together.
..but not for others.
I've lost my entire alliance.
I can't even put into words how bad this is.
It seemed all over for David and Luke.
Two Champions against seven Contenders.
But being split up from her strongest ally...
My lifeline out here is Shaun.
..Daisy was looking for a new alliance.
_
- Till the end. - Let's do it, man.
And together, they pulled off a massive blindside.
Sam...
I'm back on top again.
In the next immunity challenge...
Come on, Champions!
Hang, tight, Sarah!
It went from bad... to worse.
Contenders win immunity, sending Champions back to tribal council!
At camp...
Let's get tight for a second.
..David was back, calling the shots.
This tribe has been flipped so fast, their heads are spinning
and I'm on top of the game, baby.
And at tribal council...
I think a blindside is the most humane way to put someone down.
It's like eat or get eaten, isn't it?
..the new power alliance rose again.
Sarah.
The tribe has spoken.
16 are left.
Who will be voted out tonight?
So, I just take him outside as much as possible.
Like, when I'm doing the gardening, I show him stuff.
Um, when I'm cooking, I, like, try and see if he wants to join in
or just do any... be any part of it,
maybe, like, pick something up for me.
The five old Champions, they're very family orientated.
So, I've got a fake son. It's not real.
So, he's never been that much of crier or a screamer yet.
I don't feel bad about lying about a fake son at all.
To me, it's just part of the game.
Got a three-year-old? Three-year-old?
- Yeah. - Yeah.
Just about. Um...
Uh, his name is Oscar Hudson Hills.
No, not Hudson.
His name is Oscar Nathan Hills.
Is he old enough to teach table manners?
Not really. He doesn't eat anything anyway.
- Just, like, plain pasta, bread. - That's it?
Before Survivor, my girlfriend, Jordan,
did tell me, "Fake son, bad idea.
"Lying to everyone, bad idea."
He really liked when I was playing Mario Kart.
Do you ever think about
whether you're, like, forcing them to like things?
Mm. All the time.
But I would rather play the big moves, I would rather lie to people,
because it's just more fun.
I've made it to cucumber and carrot. Those are going alright.
Which I cut into, like, funny shapes.
I have so much respect for him.
He sounds like a real family man
and definitely my type of person.
I'll check these two, up here.
Ooh, this one's heavy.
Oh, God, it's really heavy.
Is heavy good or bad?
Well, you just tell by making sure
that you can't push the middle bit in.
- Ah. - Otherwise they're rotten.
Oh, OK, so, it's gone.
Looks a bit mouldy anyway.
Mm.
Hey, hey!
We found what we could. There's not... It's slim pickings, though.
Sarah ended up going home last night.
So, that leaves five former Contenders,
Baden, myself, Hannah, John and Daisy,
with Dave and Luke, former Champions.
That's what I was just saying!
Luke, you said that one was good.
That's so far away.
- Ohh! - Aaagh!
That's like spew!
Oh, it reeks too, man.
So, last night, I had to vote for a former Contender.
It's not ideal, but at least I'm back in the majority.
Remarkably, when I look at my tribe now,
I'm starting to think of Dave
as my closest ally out here.
Oh, yeah, actually, this one's ready to go.
He thinks we've got a thing going.
I'm sorry, my brother, but, uh,
at the moment, we do not.
A little growing one here.
Do you guys like the sweet stuff?
The fairy floss?
I'm actually pretty happy with the tribe swap.
When it first happened and I looked at the numbers, two/seven,
I was like, "Oh, this could not be worse."
But in a short space of time,
Luke and I are now running the show.
Hey?
No.
Yeah.
There he is!
That's just straight runway style, bro.
Yeah!
Oh, he's lost a runner.
That's hilarious.
That looks better with a mane, John. That looks way better with a mane.
Man, check that out.
- Oh, look at that! - I think there might even be a bit of sunshine.
There's a very solid four that's forming,
and that's Luke, myself, John and Daisy.
I never thought I'd miss someone from another tribe,
but I actually really miss Shaun.
Rrrr, that Shaun!
Shaun told me he has Daisy in his pocket.
Shaun's stronger, he's faster, he's taller.
His missus is OK too.
I suppose!
But I'll tell you one place where Shaun doesn't have the edge on me.
I know how to play Survivor.
Not only have I got this girl, Daisy,
right in my loving arms,
I've also done the fake idol switch with Shaun.
They have no clue, neither of them. They're just completely oblivious.
Oh, look at you.
So, I can be the new Shaun.
I'll be Shaun 2.0.
Not quite as big, but better-looking.
We might get another chance of showers a little...
Don't say that!
No, but that's the way they cover... the weatherman always covers himself.
- "Chance of showers." - That's true. "Chance of showers."
- 50% chance. - But that does look...
50% chance of showers. Yes or no.
I feel pretty good at the moment.
We haven't had to go to tribal council since our tribe swap,
which has given me time to build really strong relationships.
Janine and Abbey and I
have got a really great friendship.
You know, one that's unbreakable.
Just think about all the foods we can share together
- on the other side. - I know.
Janine's super intelligent,
Abbey is the challenge beast,
and I'm playing a social game.
- Yeah, me too. - It's a good tribe.
Even better, we've formed a really strong alliance.
So, I really can see the three of us being the perfect final three.
Right now, David's one of the biggest threats in this game.
He's playing hard
and we found out that David's lying to everyone.
Ahhh...
I do think that if I don't get David, David will get me
at some point in the game.
David's our number one enemy right now.
We need to come up with a really bloody nifty plan...
Send Dave home.
The three of us girls, we need to take David out of the game.
And we have the right plan.
We need to weaken him by going for the others.
- Yeah. - And then we can get him.
Yeah, when we have a clear shot...
Take it.
..take him down!
- Hmm. - You don't mess with...
Charlie's Angels.
Hey, we should be.
I'll be Cameron Diaz.
Yes, clearly, you will be.
Lucy Liu. What's the other one?
Mm-hm.
We know that David had created a fake idol
and passed it to Shaun.
So, nothing like creating a common enemy.
And we wanted David to be that common enemy.
- Yeah. - Yes.
Yeah, and that, um...
- Yeah. - Yep.
Yeah.
Oh... But...
All this time, I thought that Dave
had genuinely swapped me an idol for an idol.
So, I've got to check this idol out for myself
to see if this is fake or not.
What a slimeball.
When I felt it in the packaging,
I was like, "That's it."
But looking at it now, it's completely different
to what I had.
So, yeah, there's no doubt in my mind that's fake.
Dave's now public enemy number one.
And the first chance to cut his throat in this game, I'm taking it.
Now I've just got to figure out a way to plot my revenge on him.
Come on in, guys!
Contenders, get your first look at the new Champions tribe.
Sarah voted out at the last tribal council.
- Wow. - Oh, they're getting smaller.
They are!
Matt, are you surprised to see Sarah gone?
I am surprised. I think Sarah's a bit of a warrior
and someone very integral to their performance at challenges.
Uh, interesting decision.
Who did you expect they would be voting out?
If they were smart, they would have sent Hannah home,
but I guess they don't like winning.
Oh, that's harsh.
Hannah, what do you say to that?
I'm not crying. It's alright.
Shaun, the new Contenders have managed to avoid the last two tribals.
Do you think that's brought you guys closer together?
Yeah, I think so.
The more time we get together, as a group, it's just gonna bond you,
especially, sort of, you know, on rewards like we had at the cafe.
We're just getting closer and closer
and the more cohesive a group is, the better they're gonna be at performing in challenges.
Pia, what are you missing the most?
- A little bit of sunshine. - I don't know if I can do much about that.
Uh, probably family.
Yeah, just family.
Luke, what about you? What are you missing most?
Food, baby! I'm hungry!
Champions are hungry.
Alright, you guys ready to get to today's reward challenge?
Yes.
For today's challenge, you're gonna square off, one on one.
You'll each be tethered to an idol sitting on a post.
On my go, you will attempt to knock over the other person's idol
before they knock over yours.
The first person to do so scores a point for their tribe.
The first tribe to five wins reward.
Want to know what you're playing for?
Yeah!
Everything you need to make the perfect toasted sandwich.
Ohh!
No!
Ham, cheese, butter, tomatoes, onions.
Every kind of bread you can imagine.
- Yum. - We were talking about that yesterday.
- Worth playing for? - Yes!
Alright, Contenders, you've got two extra.
You're gonna need to sit out two. Who's it gonna be?
Janine and Casey, you guys are on the bench.
Everyone else, let's get to it.
Alright, here we go. First round is for the boys.
Contenders, you're picking first.
- Matty. - Matt.
- Go, Matty. - Yeah!
Rivalry.
Taking on Luke for the Champions.
We've seen this match-up before.
Come on, Matty.
Very simple, you just need to knock over the other person's idol
before they knock over yours.
For reward.
Survivors ready?
Go!
Oh, they both aggressively take a shot.
But Luke gets there first.
Champions lead, one-zip.
Alright, next round's for the girls. Champions, you're picking.
- Hannah. - Go, Hannah!
Taking on Pia for the Contenders.
- Our little bull. Come on. - You got this Pia!
- You don't want this, Pia. - That's right. You hate toasties.
Come on, Pia.
Survivors ready?
Go!
Oh, they're both out of the gate.
Aggressively.
Go!
Hannah...
Gets there first.
Yes!
Champions lead, two-zip.
Yoo!
Nuh.
Alright, next round.
Simon for the Contenders
taking on John for the Champions.
Come on, big John!
Yep, you got this.
Survivors ready?
- Go! - Go, Simon, go, Simon! Go, Simon!
John charges out. They tussle.
But he knocks over his own idol.
Contenders score the next point.
Champions lead, two-one.
Well done!
Good effort, Johnno. Good job.
Fiji is really turning it on for us today.
This is the wettest challenge we've ever had.
Alright, next round for the boys.
Contenders, you're up.
Ross for the Contenders taking on Andy for the Champions.
- You got this, Andy! - Come on, Uncle.
Think about your rope!
Champions lead two-one!
Come on, Ross.
Survivors ready?
Go!
That's it, Andy.
Both sizing each other up.
Ross taunting Andy. Andy trying to get to Ross's rope.
He starts pulling on it.
And that's it!
Champions lead, three-one.
- Yeah! - Well done!
That was so good!
- My boy. - Buddy.
- Whoo! - Onya, Andy.
Alright, next round is for the boys.
Champions, who are you putting up?
Baden taking on Harry for the Contenders.
Champions lead, three-one!
Come on, Baden! You've got this!
Survivors ready?
Go!
Wait for him, Baden. Wait for him.
- Nice, Baden. - Baden, dancing around.
Come on, Baden, that's it! Go, Baden!
Who's gonna make the first move?
Harry wrestles Baden to the ground
and starts pulling on his rope.
That's it!
Contenders score the point!
- What was that?! Ohh! Yeah. OK, thanks. - You right?
Champions lead, three-two.
- I lost it. - Bados, that was done with good technique.
Alright, this round's for the girls.
Come on, Daisy!
Daisy for the Champions taking on Abbey for the Contenders.
Come on, Daise!
Hand on the idol.
Survivors ready?
Go!
Daisy and Abbey collide.
Ohh! Oww!
Daisy finds Abbey's rope.
And that's it.
Hey, is she alright?
Are you alright?
Abbey, are you OK?
Can we bring in the medic?
- Ohh! - Abbs, you OK?
Oh, no. Oh, no.
No, no, no.
- No, no, no, no. - You OK?
- Knee? - Yeah.
- Whereabouts? - Just at the front.
- What'd you do? - Got my knee.
I'm alright. I'm fine.
Can you weight-bear on it?
Huh?
- Can you weight-bear on it? - Yep.
Yeah?
Oh, no.
So, Abbey, is this an old injury?
Yeah.
Um, yeah, I had surgery on this one in December.
- This is a footy injury, I'm assuming. - Yeah. Yep.
But it's alright. It's fine. It's all good.
It's just still a bit tender.
So, Dr Lynne, what's your assessment?
Um, at this stage, I think it's a soft-tissue injury
- but we're going to keep re-evaluating her. - Sweet.
- We'll look at her again afterwards. - OK.
So, with a little bit of rest, she should be OK.
- We're hoping so, yeah. - Alright, well done. Excellent.
Sorry, guys.
You OK, Abbs?
She's up. She's standing up.
Alright, next round's for the boys.
Champions still lead, four-two!
We have David for the Champions taking on Shaun for the Contenders.
Adonis versus Adonis.
Champions lead, four-two.
David could win it for them right here.
Come on, Dave!
Survivors ready?
Go!
Come on, Dave.
Both boys sizing each other up.
- Sumo. - Come on, big fella.
Spread that rope out, yeah?
What's the strategy here?
Go get some, Shaun.
Come on, Obi.
- You come on, mate. Let's go. - Just a little bit further, alright?
Just a little bit further.
Why don't we meet halfway?
Let's go, right here. Let's go halfway.
Play it aggressively...
..or play it defensively.
Who's gonna make that first move?
They're both locked up.
That's it!
Shaun scores for the Contenders.
Champions still lead, four-three.
Well done, Shauny! Whoo!
Alright, next round, Contenders, who you putting up?
Harry, yet again.
Harry for the Contenders taking on John for the Champions.
John can win it for the Champions right here.
Remember, you know what you're going for this time!
Harry needs to win it to keep the Contenders in this challenge.
Survivors ready?
Go!
Oh, John is aggressively out of the gate.
Oh, he's just...
John wins it for the Champions!
Whoo!
Champions win reward.
Oh, we were so hungry!
Enjoy.
Champions, congratulations.
The toasted sandwiches are yours.
Grab your gear. Head on out. Enjoy.
Go on, guys.
Bye!
Onya, mate. See you, Baden.
Contenders, got nothing for you. Grab your gear, head on out.
You try and stay dry. Good luck.
At least it wasn't a Mexican fiesta. - Yeah.
I want nothing more than to get revenge on Dave in this game.
So, I really hope that Daisy listens to me
and she lets them know that this guy's gotta go.
Right now, Shaun the horse is just destroying me.
Every challenge that's one-on-one and I've had to match up with him,
he's absolutely smashed me.
But we finally won a challenge.
The Champs are back.
Look, Hannah!
- Gluten-free, go! - Argh!
The best day of my life.
Winning that reward today and getting the toasties,
mate, I cannot begin to explain
how good a toastie will go down this arvo.
Hold on, hold on. We got a...
- Ooh! - Look at this.
- It's my nieces. - Is it?
Yeah. Thanks, bro.
Oh! Oh, that's so cool!
It was awesome to see the two girls.
I don't get home very often to Melbourne
but when I do, they always put a smile on my face.
"Dear Uncle John, You're our superhero.
"Enjoy the adventure.
"Love Taylor and Phoebe.
- "Bandages to keep you safe." - Oh, that's adorable.
When I came here, she goes, "I don't want John to go on Survivor.
"He's going to get blisters."
She was right. I've got them on the side of me feet.
They'll be used. They'll be used.
- Oh, this is my one. - Aww!
So, that's little messages from my boys here.
"Thank you, Dad, for helping me on sport."
That's my baby, Ray, right there.
Aww.
"Dear Dad, I love you and I'm thinking of you always."
She always says, "X's and O's."
It's like favourite. She'll be like, "X's and O's."
X's and O's. Aww.
And this is my boy, Hugo, here.
"I love you, Daddy. From Hugo."
Oh, beautiful.
I have three kids and love 'em to bits.
I try to think of everything I do as a way to help them.
Just to have unbridled love, like, right in front of your face
and just remembering what it's about and why you're out here,
it's just such a good recharge.
Man, I feel like I'm in this storm
and I've just been recharged by the lightning, you know?
And this is my lightning and I'm ready to charge.
I don't know who this is going to be.
Oh, it's me. Oh, my God!
Aww...
It's me and the cat and all the family.
Aww.
"Hi, Bud. I bet you're making us proud over there as you always do.
"Love from your fam." Lots of X's.
"PS Picanin is missing you!"
You do forget, when you're out here,
what it's like to have people thinking about you every day
back home, cheering you on.
So, that's our newborn, Madeleine.
Aww.
It's just a good reminder and a really warm feeling.
There you go.
Aw, Daisy!
Aww...
Oh, Daisy.
I didn't really think I was missing home that much.
"Thinking of you every day, Dais. Keep believing in yourself.
"Dougie will be cheering you on and I love you.
"Mum, Dad and Max."
Aww.
The message definitely means a lot.
I mean, I was pretty lucky to grow up on a property
with both my parents and my grandparents.
We've lived through three droughts
and I've watched my parents work really hard
for everything they have.
So being able to succeed at this
after all the sacrifices my parents have made
would be a massive deal.
They'd be stoked, knowing I went in and gave it my all
and they helped me do that, yeah.
What a reward to win.
Everyone can shove their fish and chips up their arse.
I got to hear from home.
Anyone have any preference for white or wholemeal to start with?
- White, thanks. - I don't care.
Oh, my God, there is so much ham.
I'm just gonna eat this ham now 'cause I'm so hungry.
How am I doing? I've never used one of these things before.
Just being able to bite into something so hot and crispy
and no-one else's that I had to share out of a pot
was amazing.
This is the best reward ever, ever.
Oh, there's, like, cheese dripping all over my plate.
I'm trying to, like, not be gross but it's going everywhere
and I'm just enjoying it so much.
- Oh, no! - Daisy did you spill one.
No! Still good. Five second rule.
If ever the five second rule is in effect, Daise.
Yeah. Don't even care.
Oh, no.
I've burnt my plate.
Ohh!
- Is it bad? - Yeah.
Oh, Johnno.
Lukey definitely ate the most sandwiches.
That dude is a machine.
He's like Homer Simpson, like, putting them down
like they were going out of fashion.
It was just kind of, like, make a sandwich.
OK, I've got to tell you something but you cannot tell anyone.
I'm not Andy. Come on.
Shaun gave me a big hug at the end of the challenge today...
Yeah.
..and goes, "The idol Dave gave me is a fake."
What?
And he goes, "Get rid of him."
I was like, "I can't yet."
And he was like, "Don't care."
I reckon someone else here found the real one,
Dave found out about it
and I think he's made, like, a fake little package
and given it to Shaun,
and I think Shaun's only just unwrapped it and realised.
My God, that's devious.
I know. I know.
'Cause I thought we could trust him.
Yeah.
- Yep. - But yeah, anyway...
Absolutely, man.
Yeah, yeah. That's it.
Baden, the undercover arsehole.
Yeah, he does.
Have you got your eye on his socks?
I'll just measure them.
He's just measuring your socks, Harry.
The new tribe are great,
mainly because I have five loyal Champions against four Contenders.
When he said, "Drop your buffs,"
I just looked at you two and I was like,
"Just please give me one or two if I can."
When I looked next to me and I saw you,
and then I looked next to her and I saw you,
I was like, "Oh!"
- That's all I needed. - I know.
I am rapt to be a Contender.
Go, pink!
This would be a very less enjoyable experience without you two.
- 'Cause we could've easily been split. - Imagine one of us...
- Imagine if we did get split up. - I couldn't. I couldn't.
That was honestly my biggest fear in the tribe swap.
Everyone here are nice people.
But there's one person who I don't trust at all,
and that's Harry.
What's going on?
Behind you. I'm right behind you, always.
Harry's trying to get in with us but he's a massive player.
He's a threat.
Right now, the numbers are stacked against the old Contenders
and, more importantly, stacked up against me, basically.
I know that I'm on the bottom because I've tried everything
to get in with this group,
but the old Champions will take
every single opportunity to avoid me,
like someone who's got some sort of disgusting virus.
Just grab her, mate.
I'm almost down to being a one-man army
but I'm not going to go down without a fight.
Yeah.
My only option is to gain the trust of my old Contenders tribe
by telling Shaun, Matt and Casey that I have a hidden immunity idol.
I got, um...
I want to split up the old Champions alliance
and I'm going to start with taking Janine out of this game.
I'm the underdog but, you know what?
The underdog could come out on top this time.
Come on in, guys.
David, was it good to get a little taste of home?
Uh, I don't usually eat toasted sandwiches.
Sorry to burst that bubble. But just any kind of food.
Oh, you're talking about the plate.
We got our little souvenir plate
and it was amazing to connect with the people back home
who everyone's obviously missing.
Pia, what's the feeling when you miss out on a reward like that?
Yeah, I could take or leave the toasted sandwiches
but a little taste of home would be very nice right now.
Yeah, I mean, when you've got kids,
you're used to seeing them 24/7 pretty much,
so, it gets harder as time goes on.
So, Daisy, considering the numbers right now,
how critical is it for the Champions to finally win immunity?
Yeah, it's pretty critical.
I mean, I know Luke and Dave
are definitely sick of going back to tribal.
You know, let's even the score.
Let's get back up.
You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?
- Yeah. - First things first.
Thank you.
Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.
For today's challenge,
one tribemate will race to chop through a log
releasing a number of blocks.
You'll then work together as you transport two of them
through a series of obstacles
while balancing those blocks on a disk.
Once through, two tribemates will use a pole
to knock more blocks out of an overhead net.
When you have all your blocks,
you'll then stack them one on top of each other.
First tribe to finish wins immunity, safe from the vote.
Losing tribe is going to join me at tribal council
where one of you will be voted out.
Contenders, you've got two extra.
You're gonna need to sit out two today.
Cannot be the same in back-to-back challenges.
Who are they going to be?
It's Harry and it's Abbey.
OK, Harry and Abbey, you guys are on the bench.
Everyone else, a minute to talk about it.
Let's get it on.
Stay in line with each other.
It's going to be too hard to get up those beams
if we're all every which way.
We're going to get Janine standing on my shoulders.
And how am I going to be secured?
You should get your feet there and then I'll slowly come up.
- Adjust your feet. - And we hold you on the side.
And then you guys help us up.
Don't drop me!
Here we go.
For immunity.
Survivors ready?
Go, John!
Ross chopping the log for the Contenders.
John for the Champions.
You need to chop through that whole log
and slice that rope
to release your first set of blocks.
Keep going, Johnny!
John, working away at that log like a madman.
Let's see that power, Ross!
Ross, slow and steady.
Both boys punishing their logs.
Good boy!
John can see the rope.
He has to slice through that rope to release the blocks.
Yeah!
And that's it! Champions have their blocks.
You each have a rope attached to a disc.
You need to balance your blocks on that disc and move together.
Come on, guys!
..beside each other!
You're gonna require precise communication.
Look how close you are, Ross!
Ross, looking really tired now.
You ain't tired, Ross!
- Shall we just go one? - Let's go one.
Champions decide to play it safe. Take one at a time.
- No, it's too far forward. Hold on. - No, it's not, Baden!
Put it right in the middle.
That's it. Go!
Keep it tight, guys.
Yeah!
Finally Ross cuts through the rope, releasing the Contenders blocks.
Guys, get on your ropes.
Champions have a lead.
It's definitely a learning curve here.
Each person needs to vary their tension.
Keep that disc level.
Two, one, go.
Contenders trying to balance two blocks at once.
- One! One! - Just one!
- Are we going to go one? - Let's do one.
If you drop your block, if you step off the beam,
you've got to go back to the start of the obstacle.
We've got to go a little bit lower as we move, Andy.
This challenge is all about teamwork.
Tribe that has the best teamwork will win this challenge.
OK, through the bamboo, only the rope goes down.
Champions carefully working their way through the bamboo curtain.
I'm sure the Champions would love not to go back to tribal again.
All we need is to go over the line!
They have their first block through. Going back for their next.
Watch the front, guys. Watch the front, guys!
Contenders slowly making their way across the beam.
- Guys, front. Front. - Yeah, I'm up. I'm good.
Keep it up higher at the front.
Oh! Shaun almost falls.
Lift the front, guys!
And as we go down, we need to drop it down a little...
No, we need to go up.
Champions working on their second block.
Yep, OK.
Contenders still struggling with their first.
- I've got 'em. Got 'em. - Watch, watch, watch, watch.
OK, let it go. It's all good.
And we're...
Finally the Contenders have their first block through.
They can go for their next one.
Champions have a lead.
They drop it. They gotta go back to the start of the bamboo curtain.
In the middle! In the middle!
The Contenders working on their second block.
Champions struggling with that second block.
The bamboo curtain.
Come on, guys. We just need to get it over this line.
Bring it over, bring it over, bring it over.
And that's it. Let's go, let's go. Go, Champions, go!
Luke and David start untying knots to release those poles.
Champions have a nice lead. They do not want to let it go.
Yeah, mate. Yeah, just go. Start.
David has his pole.
He starts poking at the boxes.
Keep going forward, Lukey. I'll bust these down.
Need to push those boxes forward in the net.
Nine blocks are there. You need to get them all out.
Oh, Contenders drop their second block at the curtain.
- They need to go back. - Gotta go back.
Concentrate, guys.
Allowing the Champions to pull ahead even more.
It's going all good. Very good!
Good job.
Luke and David quickly getting the hang of this.
And Luke has the first one out and the next one.
Contenders still struggling with their second block
through the bamboo curtain.
Contenders are finally through!
Go, Contenders! Untie those poles.
Get 'em, guys!
One more. Yes!
And that's it. Champions have all their blocks out.
Go, Champions! Get all your blocks and start working on your tower.
Here, guys.
17 blocks.
You need to stack all of them one on top of each other.
OK. To the left.
Champions can smell victory. Quickly assembling that tower.
Contenders trying to get in this.
They have their poles.
Contenders really need to pick this up.
One, two, go!
Champions have a huge lead.
Up! Whoa, are you ready?
Andy tries to get up on David's shoulders.
It's gonna get high.
You're gonna need to work out a system.
- Hold the calves. - Andy's up there now.
Now give it to him. Here we go.
Daisy passing up a block to Andy.
Shaun has a rhythm going now, trying to get back in this.
Shaun is a machine!
Contenders could still win this.
- Keep going! - Keep going.
The tower could fall at any second.
- Guys, it's swaying so bad. - No, it's not, Hannah!
- Help! Help! Hannah! - Hannah, grab my calves!
Baden going up on Luke's shoulders now.
Hey, Luke, you've gotta get up, Luke.
Luke looking very shaky.
No. Fall that way, Baden, if you're gonna fall.
- Yep. I can't get balance. - You're probably not in a good spot, Bades.
Baden, if you're gonna fall, fall back. We'll get you.
Daisy barking orders now.
She does not want to go back to tribal.
Yep, OK, can you pull the tower back towards you slightly.
- Too much, too much, too much! - No, that's it, Baden.
You can't see it from down here, mate.
Well done. Two more, two more.
Contenders have all their blocks out.
Go, Contenders! Start building!
Contenders working quickly.
It ain't over till it's over.
Baden, you're pulling it towards you. Just don't.
Shaun has a long reach.
Rosco, you have to help.
Champions down to their last two blocks.
Wait, you're pushing on it, Andy.
It's gonna fall.
One. Lift him up.
Matt going up on Sean's shoulders now.
Give me one more. Give me a big one.
Last block for the Champions.
Can Andy get it up?
That tower is looking very precarious.
You guys back off first. You guys back off first!
Three, two, one...
Let go! Let go!
It's moving!
- Baden, let go! - Yet to let go of it.
That tower is wobbling, opening the door for the Contenders.
Stand like that. Get your position on my shoulders.
Right, I'm standing up.
Janine going up on Shaun's shoulders.
- We've got you. - Shit, I'm gonna fall.
- It's falling. - Baden, let go!
The tower is wobbling.
It needs to stay up by itself for three seconds.
It's coming this way.
Three, two, one.
Champions finally win immunity!
Hey, guys. Good job.
Well done, mate.
OK. Thank you.
Champions, congratulations.
Finally...
..immunity is yours.
- Thanks. - Well done.
You guys are safe. No-one going home.
However...
..you will not have this evening off
because you'll be joining me at tribal
where you will bear witness
to the Contenders' tribal council.
Oh!
Jonathan, do we get popcorn?
What you will be getting is information about these guys.
That's a huge advantage in the game.
Well, well done. Grab your gear, head on out.
I'll see you guys tonight at tribal.
- See you tonight, guys. - See you guys soon.
Contenders, tribal council tonight where one of you will be voted out.
See you guys tonight.
We lost the immunity challenge today and I'm stuck in a minority.
That's my absolute nightmare.
But the fact that I have an idol
means I have power to make something huge happen.
It's a David versus Goliath moment, that's for sure.
Bad luck, guys.
They just had us at every stage.
They did the tower a lot faster than I thought...
Yeah, they put that together real quick, didn't they?
And Daisy was just barking orders. She's brutal.
Especially on Baden. Like, I feel sorry for him.
- She's, "Don't touch it!" - Yeah.
- Oh! - Jeez.
She goes, "You've only got one job, guys!"
And I'm like, "Whoa!"
- Yeah, she's quite intense, isn't she? - Yeah.
I was really disappointed when we lost the challenge.
Pretty devastated because I really wanted to win it as a new tribe,
but I'm feeling fairly confident going into tribal council tonight.
I have five old Champions in my alliance.
If we can pick off some of the Contenders
and we go into a merge with five Champions...
..that would be a great scenario.
Mm.
Out of all the Contenders,
at the moment, Harry is the one who I trust the least.
You know, he's always in the bush, looking for idols.
They're trying to spin it so that they get one of us out. That's what's happening.
So, then, we basically go... all the vote goes Harry.
Harry, for me, is a snake in the grass, so he needs to go.
What do we tell Harry?
We tell Harry nothing. Make him feel awkward.
Feeling good?
I'm trying to take everything in.
Right now, it comes down to us versus them.
Five old Champions versus the four old Contenders.
But Janine is absolutely the number one threat.
She's got the four other old Champions at her side
that just seem to be doing everything she wants.
She's absolutely the most dangerous person in this game.
What's up?
The thing right now is we're completely outnumbered.
But I have an idol.
If we tell the old Champions I have an idol,
maybe they'll decide to split their vote.
They need to, yeah.
If the old Champions do decide to split their vote
and we vote four strong,
we can just simply vote Janine out.
Just getting too good at this.
I'm going to send Casey straight to the Champions
to spread rumours that I have an idol.
What are the boys saying?
What kind of news?
Really?
I reckon he's going to pull it early
and hope no-one votes for him.
That would be my thinking, anyway.
Yeah.
Casey said, "Look, Harry 100% has an idol."
Now, whether that's true or not. I have no idea.
But something came very clear to myself, Abbey and Pia,
and that was Casey's trying to play double camp,
but she's not doing it very subtly.
That can be very dangerous in this game.
Casey's telling everybody everything.
She's with us yet she's relaying information directly to them.
I cannot trust Casey as far as I can throw Casey.
Harry was hunting the jungle like a madman.
Are they just trying to lead us up the wrong track
and make us think like he's got one when he really doesn't?
There's no question that Harry's a player and he loves the game
but Casey seems more divisive, more dangerous,
and I think we need to get rid of Casey,
so we're not going to split the vote.
We're just gonna throw all the votes on Casey.
So, when she asks us, "Who's the split vote?"
you just say, "Look, all we want you to do is write Harry's name down."
And we also say it's not you.
Yeah. We haven't changed.
- I don't know... - I think he's completely bluffing.
Me too. I don't reckon he has.
I feel like right now,
I have no idea where I stand with the Champions.
I think that they're telling everybody something different.
We haven't even spoken to them yet.
So, we'll have a chat and then we'll come and let you know.
I reckon they were acting real...
Like, when I say to them, like, "Can you just confirm?"
they're like, "Oh," like, "We've still got to talk about things."
So, tonight, I honestly don't know how things are gonna play out.
Honestly, I don't think the Champions are going to split the votes.
But I have another plan.
Tonight at tribal,
I'm gonna get the old Champions to throw all the votes towards me
by acting like a big jerk.
Then I can play my idol on myself
and we put four votes on Janine, sending her home.
I know. But it's fun, isn't it?
No!
No. I wouldn't do that if I were you.
We play the idol correctly,
then we can boot out Janine, cut off the head of the snake.
I'm basing my vote tonight on staying with my loyal alliance
but I don't feel secure at all, going into tribal council tonight.
The Champions tribe are coming in to watch,
so, you know, anything can happen.
The tribal lines are as clear as they've always been.
We are five loyal Champions.
If we can pick all the Contenders off one by one
then I'd be very happy.
Tonight, we'd like to take Casey out of the game.
Tribal is definitely where the best Survivor players make their move.
So, tonight at tribal, in front of everyone on the other tribe,
I'm going to blow things up.
OK, guys.
So, as you know,
the Champions are here tonight to observe your tribal.
So, let's get to it.
Janine?
A couple of days ago, the Survivor gods looked down upon this tribe
and decided to bestow it with
five old Champions and four old Contenders.
In a game of numbers, it seems like they were looking out for you.
Yeah, look, it is a numbers game, and it's also a relationship game.
So, yeah, it was a... it was quite good luck.
So, Harry, on the surface,
it seems like, you know, the Champions have the numbers.
Is that a worry for you tonight?
Absolutely it is.
I mean, it's always a numbers game.
And, so, you look straightaway, five-four, and I'm pretty worried.
I'll put it straight out there, I'm worried for my own safety.
So, Ross, is it as simple as that tonight,
an old Contender's just gonna go?
Maybe not.
I trust, like, six or seven people here, actually.
Mm.
Which six or seven?
Ooooh...
What about you, Casey? Do you think Ross trusts you?
No. He told me he doesn't trust me.
- I'm honest. I'm honest Ross. - He's honest.
Are you worried that he doesn't trust you?
Yeah, slightly.
Yeah. I think, you know, you just don't know.
Like, all day, I've just been thinking,
yeah, it's hard to know who to trust.
Well, Shaun, I mean, you may have ended up
slightly on the wrong side of the numbers tonight.
But if we look at the Champions tribe,
Luke and David squarely ended up on the wrong side of the numbers
after the swap,
yet, after two tribals, they're still here.
Why do you think that is?
They're both very charming guys, having met them both,
so I'm sure they've worked their magic over there.
But, you know, maybe they just latched onto the right people
and they said the right thing.
Can I point out what's going on?
Yeah, please. Be my guest.
I think there's only about six people in this whole group
that are actually playing to win...
..and everyone else is just cruising right now.
And I don't really like it.
Is now the right time to be playing to win, or to be cruising?
Yeah. Absolutely.
You should be playing, and you should not be
just letting everyone else dictate what you're doing,
because that's what's happening with the five old Champions.
We've been with you for five days, Harry.
- You've gotta remember that. - Yeah, and I haven't heard anything.
But you won't know until...
This is what the first vote is always about.
That's when you work out what people are doing and why they're doing it.
And if they're honourable or not.
So, Harry, if they're not playing, what are they doing?
Cruising. Except for one.
Janine's the one in charge of them all.
Oh, my God!
- Oh! - Ooh!
- Oh! - Did you know that?
I didn't know that.
You should be a bit more obedient.
We don't have one leader. We don't have a dictator.
We don't have somebody who stands on top
and demands who people are gonna vote for.
So...
Don't smile and do your little...
..eyes at Jonathan.
I mean, I saw what I saw today.
I watched a procession of people go specifically to you,
one at a time, to listen to you...
..as if you're some sort of, like, Godfather figure.
So, you're saying Janine is running the old Champion alliance?
Is that what you're saying?
I'm saying she probably has the biggest say.
Casey, do you think Harry should be worried tonight?
Yeah. I guess, right now, I'd say,
based on what he's shared with the group,
I imagine that there's some people questioning
everything that he's said so far.
Shaun, is Harry truly confused?
Or is he onto something?
You'd have to assume, in any alliance, there's a bit of a pecking order.
Now, what that is, I don't know.
And maybe, for a unique part of Survivor,
there is a collaborative force
that has a gameplay that is moving forward in this game.
Would you agree that there's equal footing over there?
I mean, if there is, it's the first time ever.
You think it is 'us versus them'?
I'm leaning that way.
Hmm. Interesting.
We're certainly seeing a different Harry tonight
than we have in camp, I must say.
Very different.
- So, you're finding that surprising? - I am, actually, yeah.
Yeah. Harry's very quiet and sweet in camp
and he's come out like the bloody Godfather.
I don't know what's going on.
No, he said Janine was the Godfather.
- She's the Godmother. - I don't know...
I don't know what he is, but he's come out like some kind of gangster.
Can I ask one question, please?
Do you really have a child?
Nuh.
I kind of needed something to maybe talk to, like, the mums and dads,
so I just made up a child.
- So, Oscar's...? - Oscar's not real.
Oscar's fake?!
It's a white lie?
- Wow. - Wow.
He's trustworthy.
I think what we've realised tonight
is anything that comes out of Harry's mouth
is something you've just gotta take with a grain of salt.
It seems like things have switched tonight
and you've gone from this sweet, innocent person to this big player.
Do you think that puts a target on your back?
Yeah. I would definitely say so.
But, I mean, I already thought that, coming into tonight,
so I figured I would just say what I wanted to say.
Harry, as a fan, as, like, a big player,
there's better ways to play.
Like...
You're not being very clever right now.
Well, I did try,
and people literally didn't tell me a name.
So, who did you try with?
Uh, Ross, Simon, Abbey...
Janine never talked to me, even when I asked to.
Oh, Harry, Harry, Harry.
They don't tell you who they're voting for.
Matt, so, what's tonight's vote about for you?
I want to make sure that every single challenge we go into...
They're a strong tribe. We need to be at our best.
And 'at our best' means we have the best challenge competitors,
and 'at our best' means that we are united as one,
because if we're not, they're gonna run over the top of us.
Shaun, as one of the strongest members of the tribe,
is it comforting to hear that?
I'd like to think that, going forward, you know,
I'm a bit of an asset to the tribe when it comes to challenges.
So, hopefully, yeah, they take that into account, and I'm safe tonight.
So, Harry, if it is you tonight, what do you want to say to the tribe?
Why should they keep you?
There is a divide in this game.
And I think, if you want the numbers on your side,
I'm a vote that you can have.
I'm very strategic
and I have a good mind for where people are shifting.
So...
..keeping me would be a good idea for the merge ahead
and for the basic war that's gonna be coming.
We've met a new friend.
We didn't know Harry before. Now we know...
- Harry number 2! - ..we've met someone new.
- Harry number 2. - Harry 2.
2.0.
Dirty Harry.
It is time to vote.
But...
..you guys will not be voting to send someone home tonight.
It is time to vote.
But...
..you guys will not be voting to send someone home tonight.
Instead, the Champions will be voting to decide
which of you they would like to steal, to join their tribe.
- Oh, wow! Yes! - Ohhhhh!
So, Champions, this is how it's gonna work,
one by one, you will go up to cast a vote
for the Contender you would most like to steal.
Ha!
What the?
That's ridiculous.
The Contender with the highest number of votes
will join your tribe permanently tonight.
Alright. No discussion.
We're gonna get to it.
- Daisy... - No discussion?
..you're up.
Can't wait to see you, buddy.
Given the rather interesting dynamic
that's starting to emerge between you and David,
I have no idea how this will play out.
Baden.
I'll go count the votes.
OK, once the votes are read, the decision is final.
The person with the highest number of votes
will join the Champions tribe immediately.
I'll read the votes.
First vote...
..Shaun.
No way!
I voted you, Matt, so don't worry.
Shaun. That's four votes.
That's enough.
Take off your old buff, toss it in the fire...
- Alright. - ..come get your new one.
- See you soon, mate. - See ya, buddy.
- We've lost our horse! - See ya, mate.
See ya, mate. See you soon.
Shaun, congratulations, you're now a Champion.
- Thanks, mate. - Go and grab your torch.
You can join your new tribe.
Champions, your work is done here. You can head back to camp.
All the best.
What's going on?
I've got no shame. I'll go headfirst against him.
- I don't care. - See ya, Shaun.
- No, all good. Yeah, good. - I'm happy to go. I'll kill him.
I'm ready to play. If that's how we're gonna play, I'm ready.
We're still strong.
Well, if you didn't come prepared for twists like this...
..maybe your horse has already bolted.
Grab your torches, head back to camp.
Goodnight.
Tomorrow night on Australian Survivor,
David's running scared...
I'm definitely worried, now that Shaun's here.
..as Shaun prepares for the kill.
I've been gunning for Dave
ever since I realised that was a fake idol.
Can David hold on...
Jut gotta figure out how to play this idol with Shaun.
..or will Shaun get his ultimate revenge?
First chance I get to take him down, he is done.
