It's the modern-day hunger game.

Left to battle the elements in
remotest Samoa for the next 55 days.

Divided into three tribes...Saanapu...Vavau...Aganoa.

The enormity of the challenge soon came crashing in.

Waves were comin' up.

We were all a bit...Aaah.

The tough conditions drew some closer together.

Vavau is just perfection.

But at Saanapu, private investigator
Bianca stayed undercover.

I work in insurance...this game is mine.

At Aganoa...

And we're gonna have to take some of these down.

Kat and Des clashed.

There was a lady on our tribe who...

looked like she belonged in...the Cafe Latte.

When the pair failed to solve the
puzzle at the first Immunity Challenge...

- We got no idea.

Aganoa was headed to Tribal Council

Some times I don't like you, Kat.

- Where Des became the first

person voted out of the game.

The tribe has spoken.

23 are left. Who will be going home tonight.

Tribal Council was a bit of surreal experience, actually.

It was tough. I think reality kicked in...that we're here

for a game...and, eh,

unfortunately, that game meant that one of our

star tribe members needed to be voted off, and unfortunately

that was Des last night.

- You know. Just....
- I just think someone else that need to go through, huh?

Getting the reje-the rejection over here from the game.

He actually was taking it pretty well, I thought.

- Yeah, he did.
- Well, he obviously,

He knew it was coming...

It's not a nice feeling...but it kind of

makes you realize, "Yeah, you know,
we are well and truly in this game".

You don't know who you can trust.

The game that is really intense on your mind.

It is always on.

This game...is a lot harder than people think.

If you don't have eyes in the back of your head,

you're going home.

What's the...what's wrong?

Kristie all of a sudden couldn't
find some of her belongings

and got quite upset and so was just,

you know, pointing fingers that it had been taken.

Then she said, "Oh, one of my
shirt's conveniently gone missing"

- "and now this is conveniently missing".
- Oh, no.

Her bag?

There's a pretty strong, rigid alliance going on

which is pretty clear. And their
playing us is a dirty old trick.

They all think I'm an idiot, but...
I can see it from a mile away.

I love it. Yeah, I do.

Honest?

Imagine waking up to this every morning.

- Yeah.
- All depends.

Sadly...it's unreal.

The camp's really happy. We have fire, shelfter, food.

Everything's, you know, going our way right now.

It going so well. Like, honestly, like

why does it do well, in such a sudden.

I don't really feel like I'm

in the game of survivor.

I just feel like, to me personally, it's very, very easy.

- How is it? Crystal?
- Oh, that's good.

I got a taste.

Oh, my God.

The food situation at the moment is

really good. We're just been eating lots of rice,

beans...bananas. Everyone pretty happy.

You know, no one's really
complaining, which is really good.

- I prefer bananas and rice.
- Go easy on the bananas?

Our tribe definitely feels like a family.

So, it's definitely, you know, a good environment to be in.

We're very positive and...we
bring out the best in one another.

Have they put any food in that pot,
or are they just cooking the water?

She's boiling water, first.

We won the first two challenges, which just is

so good for morale. And if you've got morale,

you've got momentum. And that is such a key

component of ultimate success.

Let's cut to the corner, so they say.

However, it's not gonna be long

until someone just goes,

"I'm in love with you, I've had enough with you."

Whatever it might be, and the cracks are gonna appear.

Part of my job as an investigator

is to collect information, collect
intelligence, observe, analyze.

And take a course of action as a result.

So...I'm concerned that

Brooke and Flick are too...chummy with each other.

And they're very

chummy with Sam and Matt.

So, I need to start to plant the idea that

these two girls are becoming very close

and that could be a threat...down the track.

I think we could get Conner on board.

Their unity is too strong.

the stronger that unity is gonna be.

because eventually we were gonna get

weaker and weaker as the days go on

and we need people to be at the top of their game.

I know...every single person on that

tribe is in a alliance together...

and...they're absolutely doing

everything...to...

get me out, like...next.

You know, Kristie's a really interesting situation,

because she can see that Des didn't fit in.

She's probably looking at herself, going,

"Hey, I don't fit in." And...

it's tough out here.

Well, the main thing is what you suspect, yeah.

And they think I'm so dumb.

Look...they just took it.

They been takin' and stealing things and, like...

just trying to have...either ramp me up

or they're just get me so pissed off...that I quit.

Very shifty.

I think Kristie is...one of those people that is so

insecure about herself, that she thinks

that everybody is out to get her.

When in fact, we're not.

I'm hungry, I'm thirsty...and...

I certainly am getting a very,

very good grasp of why they call it Survivor.

Fire is so extremely important, particularly for hydration.

If we don't have fire, we don't
have water that we can drink.

sweet as...the guys who must honestly need hydration.

Being thirsty when you've got no prospect

of water on the horizon, feels like someone

shoved a vacuum cleaner in your

back and it's just sucking out

all the moisture from inside you.

you can squeeze that dry mouth.

You actually feel like, hollow and

and just like you're about to kinda

crumble like a sand castle at any moment.

because you just don't feel alive.

I think we're better off, waiting for the

She will punch you down and she's certainly has been

pommeling us for the first few days.

I teach drama and media.

And I'm not gonna tell people I do that out here.

I don't want people knowing that I can act.

I'd rather them just think I'm an art teacher.

It'll go straight through, so just be careful when you hit.

Cause it'll slice through a lot quicker.

the most, is he's a cricketeer.

because we know that he can be

People often underestimate me and that's fine.

And...I don't think they're gonna
realize that I'm playing this game

really hard and I'm playing this game to win.

Aganoa are doing nothing right.

Cause he's the kind of person
that's smart enough to strategize.

That's a threat to me.

It's been...really frustrating

not having a fire, and we're just all low,

like our energy levels from not eating properly.

We're all dehydrated cause we couldn't boil our water.

We just really needed that fire.

When I was doing it at home, it was like:

"Ah, it's so much easier out there."

"With that, you get coconut husk, which is completely dry."

What the hell did I know.

Positivity is one of my key strengths.

I'm gonna bring a lot of positivity into my tribe.

Give it a go...or not.

I'm...one person who once they

set their mind to something...they do it.

And...I've set my mind to this.

And I feel that, if you

really want something bad enough, you can get there.

in a physical sense. But that doesn't stop me being

This game is as hard as I have ever seen it get.

I'm 62 years old,

I've been in the military, I've flown.

I've been an air traffic controller. Accident investigator.

I gotta lot...of things

that I've done in my background...

which are fantastically

valuable for this game.

But, eh...I'm feeling exhausted and fatigued.

I'm feeling like I shouldn't be here.

I've been struggling, how to manage this,

and I thought, give it some time,
give it a couple of days and...

Right now, I'm in a spiral dive.

I think it's not getting better, it's getting worse.

- This is a stressful environment...there is

tribe...will be shackled and tethered to a rope.

You are the sacrificial lambs

The rest of your tribe will maneuver you,

one by one, along the rope,

over, under, through a series of obstacles.

Once you have both lambs on the mat at the end...

you can then untie them.

They'll then take a key on their wrist...

to unlock clubs...

that they'll use to smash...hitching posts, either side.

This will drop a crate...

releasing sand bags.

They'll then take those sandbags...
to knock over a series of blocks

on the table.

First two tribes to knock over all their blocks...

wins immunity...safe from the vote.

In addition...you're also gonna be playing for reward.

First tribe to win...

a huge supply of fishing equipment.

Next, a face mask, snorkel, tackle.

We are getting along amazing, honestly.

This is like one big family. Everyone is just amazing,

such a good attitude and we all just work

together as a team and we're getting along really well.

close-knit community in the camp...
